Hello and welcome to our very fun bonus episode. I am Mari.
Jodyand I'm Jody.
MariAnd today we are coming to you with our birthday episode. We officially have had this podcast up and running for one whole year. well, technically it will be tomorrow because this comes out on the 25th and our birthday is the 26th, but close enough. So
JodyRight.
Marithought we would do a fun little birthday episode to celebrate that because it's a. Pretty big milestone. Honestly, we didn't know where this podcast was gonna end up when we started. We, we just started it on a, women a prayer.
JodyYes.
MariYeah, it's been very, fun. It's been a learning experience. Jody and I have certainly grown closer through it. Our friendship has grown, closer. We've learned more about each other, astrology, so many things.
JodyYeah. And didn't you say that you had read somewhere that people who start podcasts sometimes only last, I don't know, less than five episodes
MariYes, 10 episodes. 10
Jodyyeah.
MariI wanna say it was something like, the statistic was something like 85 to 90% of podcasts do not make it past the 10th episode. And the reason, of course, being it is a little bit of a flooded market at this point. There's many podcasts out there, there's many wonderful astrology podcasts, even many of them that I listen to. it's, it can be hard to. get one off the ground. And,, sticking with it, it takes work obviously, as we know with all of the editing and everything that goes into it. But it really has been rewarding and,
JodyYeah, we're celebrating. We made it a whole year. Yay.
Mariwe did. Yes, yes, yes. And speaking for myself and I think, you would agree, Jodi a lot of the. The fulfillment for me in doing the podcast is even if it only helps one person, ultimately my heart is to share and to help. And astrology has changed my life in so many beautiful ways, and it has been this incredible tool, and I know I've talked about that on the podcast before, but. where my heart is, is, is in sharing this information that has changed my life in so many beautiful ways with other people, and even if it only reaches one person and changes them in some way for the better, I think it's worth it.
JodyYes. And to make it understandable. 'cause I know I re-listened to our very first episode and that's what we said on there. We wanted to make it understandable. 'cause we know that astrology can be like a foreign. Language. And I think, you know, we did, we did a good job at that. And just making it relatable and understandable and as we we're going along, I'm learning a lot and I'm sure we'll probably touch on that with our questions we have coming up. But
MariYeah, exactly. We are, learning and growing along with all of you, our listeners as well.
Jodyyeah.
MariSo yeah, it. Very rewarding. And with that in mind, should we ask each other a few questions
JodyYeah.
Mariabout this past year? I'll start. has surprised you the most about this journey of podcasting?
JodyI would say how consistent I've been. I mean, thanks to you. Thanks. I mean, I think each of us did that for each other. But consistency is always something that I, have room for growth on. And the fact that, you know, we have made it to our one year point and we have really stayed consistent. We haven't missed, we had a few challenges along the way, but I think we've always. Released our episodes when we said we were going to,
MariMm-hmm.
JodyYeah. So consistency. How about you? What surprised you most about it?
MariHonestly, I would echo that a hundred percent in that. I'm so grateful for you because doing this together has held me accountable to that consistency and much like you, that is an area that I have struggled. We I feel like creative people have a tendency to bounce around a bit. And yeah, I mean. I, I don't have a lot of strong Capricorn energy or a lot of strong earth energy in my chart, in the things that it takes to have that consistency. And so it has been really, surprised myself in that. And I am also, like I said, very grateful to you and that we're, we've teamed up to do this together
JodyRight?
Mariit, it's definitely helped.
JodyYeah. okay, so what might people not realize about podcasting? Do we have any advice?
MariGreat question. Well, I think one of the things I kind of already touched on is that. I think people don't realize how how slow growth can be. With podcasting, you do have to be patient with the growth and. All that goes into it on the back end when it comes to editing and creating even the aesthetic part of it and you know,
JodyYeah.
Maria lot that it goes into the back end of a podcast and it's super fun that we just, sit down and laugh with each other. And we have a great time recording. We do. But you know, the research too. On a podcast like this, you and I both hold a lot of this knowledge just off the top of our heads, but we both are kind of a little bit of perfectionists. And so we do a lot of research and do a lot of notes to make sure that we don't miss anything and that we get everybody the best, most accurate information, in all of the information on a certain subject, as much as we possibly can, and really make it as well-rounded and balanced as we can. And so. It's been great for us. Obviously, like we said, 'cause we're learning along the way as well, but there's just, there is a lot of work that goes into it. It's not just sit down and record and upload, just like that. So, yeah, that's what I would say. What about you? Is there anything else that
JodyYeah, the same.
Marimight not realize?
JodyI think I had no idea when we started, you know, you think, oh, podcast. Yeah. Great. Let's do it. And then all the little details that come into play, like learning to edit, learning, you know, all the different platforms that you need to have in the, Programs that are gonna make our life easier as we learned along the way.
MariMm-hmm. Yeah.
JodyYeah.
MariWhat is a funny, unexpected, or this could only happen to us thing that happened while recording this year.
JodyOh gosh. Hmm. I mean, we have bloopers. We could have. Saved for sure, but
Maripercent.
JodyI'm trying to think. I don't, I don't remember anything really.
Mariwe have definitely recorded the complete wrong episode. Sat down, had full notes, recorded an episode, and realized that we were out of order, and then immediately the next day had to record the proper episode
JodyOh, yes,
Marithat was
Jodywe did do that.
Maricome out next. That was kind of funny
JodyYeah.
Marirealizing that we had both come prepared for the wrong thing and
JodyYes.
Mariwell, I guess we're doing this. And then we're gonna record the actual episode we're about to release.
JodyYes. I totally forgot we did that.
MariMm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, there's been a few little things like that. For the most part, like it has been fairly smooth.
JodyYeah.
Maridefinitely, every single episode, I, I would almost consider little blooper reel onto the end of every episode because every episode we end up saying something. Ridiculous or stuttering over something
JodyYeah.
Maria little, a giggle fest about something. And that does not make it into the episode. Like the episodes, we sound like we just have everything together and we're just truck it along doing all this teaching, but Oh, if you could, if you could hear the whole thing.
JodyRight. All our, our
MariYeah, yeah,
Jodycan't.
Mariof that. Like stutter over a word and go, what was that?
JodyYeah.
Maridid I just say?
JodyStart over. Rewind, repeat,
MariThat's, that's why we would struggle so much, I think to have, be actually on video instead of just audio. We've thought about it,
Jodyyeah.
MariTo How do you edit, edit that stuff out on video? I don't know. maybe you all can give us some feedback. Is that something that you would think was, entertaining or is it better to just edit it all out and have, be as professional as possible? I don't know.
JodyYeah.
Mariknow, sometimes I think maybe if we just left it organic it would be relatable, but,
JodyYeah. So what does it feel like to you knowing that people are listening to these conversations?
MariHmm. Multiple things at once.
JodyI.
Mariobviously to be honest, at first, was a big, brave, bold step for me of putting myself out there. And so, right away there was a little bit of trepidation, honestly, about it and. that self-doubt, that imposter syndrome? Like who am I to be, you
JodyMm-hmm.
Maridoing something like this and putting myself out there in this way? It's very vulnerable. But I would say ultimately it feels exciting and really fulfilling because Love what I do so much and I want to share it, and imagining it being heard by people. I'm just hoping that in some way it blesses their life or makes them laugh or brings something poignant into their life in some way. And, and that's exciting to me. That feels like purpose. yeah. It just, it makes my heart happy. What about you?
JodyFor me, it was definitely intimidating. It was. Definitely outta my comfort zone. So when, when you presented the idea to me, I mean, there was some panic on the inside, but you know, we only grow outside of our comfort zone, right? So I have a little bit of imposter syndrome, I would say. Like, like you said, like who am I to be talking about this on a podcast? But I think we both have the, you know, the passion to want to share the information with people and how astrology can help them, like it's helped us.
MariYeah, and I think what we both excited to do with a podcast was put a podcast out there that we were looking for we started learning. At least I'll speak for myself and say that because I started learning about astrology, I found a lot of podcasts that were doing, like predictive or, or looking at the energy that we're moving through right now. This, you will find a lot of that out there, and I listened to a lot of that stuff, but when I started learning astrology, I wanted to be taught about. Astrology from the, the foundations all the way up astrology for beginners, you know, the building blocks. And that was just something that I was searching for. So I wanted to create something like that for people.
JodyYeah, I agree.
MariYeah. What do you think your favorite episode was from this past year?
JodyWell, my favorite episode has to be the Pets one. I just thought that one was really a lot of fun and I know. My pets are so close to my heart, and I know your pet is close to your heart. So it just seemed easy. It flowed very easily to talk about our pet's charts, even though, it gave a great example of, we may not exactly know what their chart is, but you can still tell a lot
MariMm-hmm.
Jodyjust, you know, the basic birthdate versus the time, but. That was just a lot of fun to talk about our pets and
Marifun.
Jodyyeah. How about you? What was your favorite?
Mariman, that one's up there for sure. And the, the, I dunno the, the fun ones. Obviously our are more fun for us to record too, in, in a lot of ways. Like the songs of the Zodiac
JodyOh, yeah.
Marifun. Where we picked different song lyrics for each Zodiac sign. That was fun. Just so the
JodyYeah.
Marikind of a little bit different, but if anyone listening has been listening along this past year, you've gotten to know each of us a little bit. And so you will know that I am the deep dive girl. And so I, I like going deep, with these subjects and so I really enjoyed the Pluto episode. I obviously. Had way too much to say that I think that was our longest episode that we did. But you know, I feel really good and really fulfilled and confident about episodes that, I think have really poignant deep, information.
JodyYeah.
Mariand maybe like the ones where I feel like I finished the episode and I feel like I feel like I taught someone something. I feel like there was something in there for everyone, right? Like that feels really good to me. And, and I, I like Pluto
JodyYeah.
Marias, as, as much as Pluto is intense in all of these things. I have a strong Scorpio signature in my chart. We've talked about that. A very strong Pluto in Scorpio in the 10th house and conjunct Mars in Scorpio. So I think that is just such a part of my nature to wanna go deep. So. Maybe the
JodyYeah.
Mariepisode
JodyIt.
Marione, two. I did the same thing with the
JodyYeah. And I think that's a great reflection of our sunshine. Right. I'm Gemini. You're Sagittarius. They're an opposition. They both love learning and teaching, but Sagittarius does go a lot deeper
MariMm-hmm.
Jodyin, in their, would you say, and their focus in their,
MariAbsolutely. not. maybe not deeper, but I would say bigger,
Jodyokay.
MariLike I think of,
JodyYeah.
MariScorpio signs, like if as going deep underneath, which is why I, I, I do that too because of all my strong scorpion signature, but my Sagittarius sun goes up and gets that bird's eye view. The big. Like gets the whole scope right? It's not
JodyYeah.
Mariin
JodyOkay.
MariSo I both go bird's eye view and deep underground. Right? Which is why I am like, look at all of this information. It's like, it's there's so much and yeah, that's where I, tend to wanna give. All of the information to people, whereas Yeah, for you and, and much more Gemini right, is like what's right in front of us right here. A little bit of this and a little bit of this and a little bit of this and okay, now I'm curious about this over here,
JodySquirrel.
Mariwhir deep on Yeah. Right. We don't have to keep talking about that. We can move on to this other thing.
JodyYeah. Yes.
MariYeah. It's so true, and you'll hear that in our podcast over and over again. it's so funny how many times we finish a podcast and I apologize to Jodi. I'm like, I'm sorry I talk so much.
JodyIt's,
Marione and then off she goes.
Jodyoh, it's so funny. We shouldn't be surprised. Really. S.
MariMm-hmm. So true. Knowing our astrology, we shouldn't be surprised. Yeah. Oh, and then I guess final question before we go into we're gonna play a fun little would you rather game, but a final question would be, what is the biggest gift this podcast has given you, do you think?
JodyWell, I would say. Hmm. I mean, it's given me a lot of gifts, but the biggest gift is probably just expanding. Expanding myself, expanding my knowledge. I. Expanding out into the world. I mean, again, it was out of my comfort zone. And to put a podcast out on all of the platforms into the world is something that I didn't think that I would ever do. But it just gave, the gift of expansion really.
MariMm-hmm.
JodyHow about you?
Marisomething you didn't think you would
JodyYeah.
Marithen along came Mari and said, Hey, you wanna do this thing with me?
JodyRight, right.
Mariyou, you were brave enough to say yes, and I am forever grateful. Yeah, I would say very similarly what came to mind, was the same sentiment with a different word. And that was more confidence and courage. Confidence and courage, you know, which is very similar to what you said about expansion. And it helped me honestly realize how much I actually know.
JodyYeah.
Mariabout astrology because it is such a massive subject and we will be forever learning about astrology and learning from other brilliant astrologers out there and books that were written by lineages of those who have already even passed. You know, there's so much rich history of astrology and great astrologers out there, and I will forever be learning, but it has given me the confidence to understand how much I actually do know. Because it's really easy to be in that self-doubt like we talked about the, the
JodyYeah. Yep.
MariWho am I to talking about this stuff or be, I'm not an authority on this, but yeah, it
JodyYeah.
Marigiven me that confidence and that the courage to put myself out there. Yeah.
JodyYeah, I like the courage that also resonates with me too. It's just having the courage because it does take courage to put yourself out there.
MariMm-hmm. Yeah. So if anyone is listening to this and you have been thinking about doing something that scares you a little bit, but you're just really. You feel that tug, just go for it. Just go for it. The world needs what you have to say. The thing that you wanna put out into the world, the thing that you're passionate about, that's what the world needs. It, it needs each of us to be brave enough to step into that thing that lights that fire inside of us. And a lot of clues to what that might be. If you don't know what that is for, you might be in your chart just saying.
JodyYes.
MariSo,
JodyAlright. Do we wanna go into the would you rather game?
Mariyes, let's do it.
JodyAlright, I'll start. So Mari, would you rather experience Mercury retrograde every single month or your Saturn return every seven years? Forever.
MariI would have to go with Mercury retrograde every single month because I
JodyYeah.
MariTo breeze through Mercury retrogrades fairly easily. I have not found in my life personally, knock on wood that mercury retrogrades have been too disruptive. Things, you know, I've definitely sensed, but I don't see it as the big thing to fear that sort of gets out there in the zeitgeist. We've talked about that before.
JodyYeah.
Marithat's just like the like TikTok algorithm, it's Mercury retrograde and everybody blames everything on Mercury retrograde. I kind of feel bad for Mercury, honestly.
JodyRight.
Marilot of the blame for things. Must be all Mercury doing a swing again. Yeah, I think that one because my Saturn return and I have only had the one thus far, but it was incredibly intense and every seven years feels a little too much. So what about
JodyRight.
Marione? What do you.
JodyI would a hundred percent agree with you. I think,
MariYeah.
Jodymercury retrograde every single. Because like you said, I don't really find it to be as torturous as, it really has a reputation to be, I do pay attention and, maybe take things a little bit slower during that time, but Saturn can be a little bit rough and again, depending on the situation, it, but a Saturn, a full Saturn return every seven years, uta. No thank you.
MariY Yeah. Pass.
JodyYeah.
MariAlthough we are very grateful to Saturn for its lessons and for keeping us on the track that we signed up for when we came into this life. I love Saturn. I'm grateful for Saturn, but you know, every 29 years it's enough with.
JodyRight. Yeah.
MariI hear you Saturn. I'm doing the work. Okay.
JodyRight. Yeah. And if, if we're listening, Saturn can be more gentle, so
MariYes, I fully anticipate my next Saturn return to be far more gentle because I am aware I am working with Saturn. I am actively participating with Saturn in those things. And so, I was very unaware at the time of my first Saturn return, and so I, yeah, I think you're so right. They can be far gentler if we're actively working and doing what Saturn is asking of us.
JodyYeah. Yep. I mean, technically every seven years something's happening. So you're either in a square and opposition or you're sat in return. So do kind of get a little bit of Saturn every seven years anyway.
Marigood point. Very good point.
JodyNot quite the Saturn return, but little reminders along the way.
MariMm-hmm. Yep. Okay. Let's see. Would you rather. Live through a Pluto Transit to your moon a Neptune transit to your sun.
JodyHmm, that is a great question. I don't know. I mean, I've had Pluto Square to my moon, but I probably won't live to experience a Pluto conjunct my moon. But I'm going to say I would choose. A Neptune Transit to my son because I'd rather be delusional than have my emotions messed with.
MariOh, that one got me. I, I agree. I would also take the Neptune transit to my son. I think again, the moon is such a sensitive. Emotional point in the chart. and I already have a lot going on with Pluto and my Moon, 'cause Pluto natally is opposite my moon. So that dynamic has been one that I have dealt with for most of my life. So I think I would take the Neptune Transit to my son. Yeah.
JodyYeah.
MariAnd also Neptune moves faster. So it would be faster. It
JodyYeah.
MariSo. So, yeah, that's what I would go with.
JodyAll right. So would you rather feel deeply having a water dominant chart or understand everything logically having an air dominant chart?
MariOoh, man. So. I am a person who has said my whole life. I would rather feel everything than nothing. all that life has to offer. I think that's because I have that venous Neptune on my ascendant, hard on my sleeve romantic to the core. Know, grew up just absolutely being obsessed with romantic tragedy like Romeo and Juliet to to die for love. What could be more glorious? You know, very just dramatic, sort of person. And I just, I like to feel life. And yet I have this other side of me that is so logical and I'm a show me person, right? And I
JodyMm-hmm.
Mariknow how things work. And this is such a tough question. I am gonna go. I'm gonna go with feel, I'm gonna go with the water dominant chart, feel everything deeply. Because water dominant chart also to me is the connection with source and what is beyond us psychic abilities, intuition, all of that. And I think to me, it brings me back closer to the true essence and source of what I actually am this divine being. Whereas the logic and all of that is wonderful in its own way, but it does keep us very tethered to this earthly 3D plane in a lot of ways. And I know this isn't my forever home, so I'm gonna go with feel everything deeply water dominant chart. What about you?
JodyI would 100% agree with what you said.
MariMm-hmm.
Jodywater dominant chart. Yeah. For all the same reasons
MariYeah. Yeah. we have so much in common. I think as much as, again, we're opposites on the wheel, but the, mirror is also held up when things are in opposites on the,
Jodyyeah.
Mariand there's so many sort of crossovers and similarities that you and I have.
JodyYes.
MariYes. Okay. How about this one? Would you rather date someone? Obviously I know, I know you're married, so hypothetical,
JodyOkay.
Mariwould you rather d date someone who knows your chart better than you, or someone who thinks astrology is fake, but loves you anyway?
JodyWell, I already have one of those, but I am a strong believer that you shouldn't rely on the chart for everything or too much. Like I think you really want to in relationships, get to know a person based on who they really are in human form versus their chart. And I know my curiosity would make me want to look at the chart for sure, but I think that it can work against you if you are relying only on the chart. So if I dated somebody that knew my chart better than me, I think everything I did, they would probably reflect back to me like, oh, this is in your chart, so you did this versus this. 'cause I find myself doing that sometimes.
MariI,
JodySo,
Marisay
Jodyyeah.
Mariis that I, I kind of find myself, 'cause I know, obviously know my husband's chart better than he does,
JodyYeah.
Mariso sometimes in the back of my mind, I'm thinking about his chart when he's saying something or doing something.
JodyYeah.
Mariso that literally is the experience that both of our spouses have because Yes, I am not married to someone who thinks astrology is fake by any means, but, he isn't nearly as in, into it as me not necessarily as curious about it. You know, I'll
JodyYeah.
Marithings here and there and he is like, oh, okay, that's interesting and like, makes sense or whatever. And is deeply supportive and very, very, very loving. Loves that I'm doing something I'm passionate about and thinks that this is great for me, but he doesn't necessarily get into it as much as I do. So yeah, I would have to go with the same, the, the choosing Someone who thinks astrology is fake, but loves me anyway.
JodyYeah. Yeah, I, think.
Mari'cause I feel like if someone knew my chart better than me, they could sort of use it against me.
JodyYeah.
Mariarguments or something be like, well, this and this, and this is in your chart, so you blah, blah, blah. And I'd be like, excuse you,
JodyRight, right. And I'm, and superficially, there's stereotypes out there where they say certain zodiac signs don't mesh. And I don't necessarily believe in that because as we've talked about, our chart is. So layered that you can't take sun signs and say you're a good match and you're not. But obviously if they knew enough about astrology to know my chart better than I did,
Mariyeah.
Jodythen that would be a little intimidating.
MariMm-hmm. Yeah, I actually just had that conversation with a client recently. 'cause they said something about, well, he's a such and such, so that's probably a bad match. And I just said I would never tell anyone. That if they were one sun sign and someone else was a difference you know, fill in the blank sun sign that there would be a bad match. Never would I
JodyYeah. Yeah.
MariI would never say that there is a bad match per se, based just on that, or even if there's a bad match, quote unquote at all. There are matches or relationships when you. Layer the charts together, that might cause more friction. There might be more to grow through and evolve through.
JodyMm-hmm.
Maridecide if that's something that you want in your life or not. But it doesn't mean it's a bad chart or a bad match, right?
JodyGreat.
Mariwe both operate that way. It's not that black and white. People are so unique and especially just breaking it down to sun sign. this sunshine shouldn't date that sunshine.
Jodyright.
Marino, no, no, no. not a thing.
JodyYes.
Marinot at all. So yeah, everyone is so unique. Your sun sign does not define you. And you can make any relationship work if you're both. To doing so and to loving one another through anything. Right? And some are just gonna be more flowing and ease, but they might not stretch you or push you as much to, evolve. And then some are gonna have a lot of that. So you're gonna be doing a lot of more active working on the relationship. It just all depends on what you desire.
JodyRight.
Mariand astrology might be able to give you a better glimpse or view. Of what those subjects might be. Right.
JodyRight.
MariIt's a tool for that. It's not saying you should be with this person or you shouldn't. That's up to you and that person.
JodyYeah. Right.
Mariyeah. All right. Do you wanna shoot one
Jodyyeah.
Mariway before we move on.
JodyOkay. This is a fun one. So would you rather be able to predict every upcoming transit perfectly or be surprised by life, but always grow from it?
MariOh, definitely be surprised by life, but grow from it. Definitely. I am one who is very careful with my predictive work when I do look at transits. Because of that, I do not think that it is healthy for our little sweet human psyche to, to know exactly what's coming whether it be good or more difficult. And the reason is, if you're expecting it to be really great and it meets that expectation, okay, well you already expected it. If it doesn't, if it doesn't meet that expectation, now you're just disappointed, even if it was still a good thing. So that's not. Great. And if it is something that is more difficult, you're projecting into the future, how terrible it might be. And I think that we kind of call those things into ourselves then, and I don't think that that's healthy either. I think that astrology is a great tool for looking at, at. The forecast, like a weather forecast. We've talked about this before. And just basic energetic things to be aware of. It's that, maybe pack a raincoat kind of mentality. But stay open. Stay open to all possibilities. Believe for the absolute best work with the energy in the best way that you can. But I like surprises. I like being surprised by life, and I like that life throws things at me, that, allows for me to choose growth and evolution. And that's part of the joy of this whole thing, is that we don't know what's coming next.
JodyYeah, I agree. I would say I definitely wanna be surprised by life, and I think transits are a great tool. But we always have free will choice. Everybody has free will choice. So just like you, I'm not an astrologer that focuses on predictions. I know there are some fabulous astrologers out there that are very good at it, but I look at it as, here's a tool that you can use to look at an area, and then you have the free will choice to decide what you're gonna do with that. So I'm definitely more for. The surprise of life.
Mariteam. Surprise me
JodyYeah. And it's been doing a great job.
MariYes, yes. is the one thing that we can always count on, is that things are gonna change and we don't always know what's coming,
JodyYes,
Mariso you might as well,

MariAnd now we thought it might be fun to very briefly look at our podcast's solar return chart for the upcoming year. Because. We actually have a solar return chart for the podcast itself because as astrologers, of course, we kept track of the exact time when we posted our very first episode, and that was the birth of this as above. So within podcast and so. can look at a solar return chart for businesses or for events the same as you would for a natal chart. So this is going to give us a feel of the energy that we will be stepping into together through this podcast over the next year. And honestly, looking at the chart, I'm pretty excited about the possibilities for the podcast this year. So the official birth of as above, so within was May 26th, 2025 at 10:00 PM Central standard time in case anyone wants to know see the chart. if you're one of those that wants to look something up and, and get the visual to follow along. And if we were to sum up the themes of the coming year, this is a year where our voice evolves, our visibility expands, and our message reaches further. Which
JodyYeah.
MariI saw that I said Hooray, say yes. There's a huge emphasis on communication, audience, and connection. So this really feels like a growth year, not just for us, but for this space as a whole. And I, for one, I'm very excited about that. So the chart this year for the podcast is an Aries Rising, which immediately sets the tone for how we will show up this year. And as we all know, Aries is bold, initiating energy, leadership energy. Aries doesn't wait for permission. It doesn't play small. it takes charge and goes first. And in the first house we also have both Mars and Chiron, which is really interesting because it brings in this theme of courage and vulnerability, both, which we already kind of talked about feeling, even though with this last year, right, having the courage to be vulnerable in this space. So this year for us, there may be moments where we feel like, you know, okay, this is, this is stretching me a little bit. This is asking me to be more seen than I've been before. But the invitation here is asking us to show up anyway and to speak boldly from our truth. And in doing that, there's actually a healing that happens not just for us, but hopefully for the people listening too.
So Jodie's internet was being funky on the day we were re-recording. So I just wanted to jump in and say if the audio sounds a little bit different in this break here, that is why. Hopefully it sounds consistent, but I just wanted to mention that briefly before we keep going that this was recorded on a separate day. So I'm gonna keep going. And the next thing I was gonna talk about was Gemini in the second house. So the heart of the chart this year is Gemini in the second house, with the sun, Uranus, and Mercury all there. And what this is really saying is that our voice is our value, our ideas are our currency, and the way we communicate is what grows this. So we have the sun sitting right with Uranus, which brings in this electric, innovative, slightly unpredictable energy. So this could look like new ideas coming in out of nowhere, which would be super fun. Yeah. Trying new formats or styles. We might be experimenting with some fun different ideas this year. Moments where something we say just lands in a big way. But there's a feeling of breakthroughs, fresh perspective, shaking things up a little. So don't be surprised if this year feels a little more experimental or we start trying new ideas. Yeah. A little more fickle. In a good way, in a good way. I am a Gemini, so I appreciate it. I appreciate the, oh, let's do this. Oh no, let's do this. The random, the randomness. Yes. And my fifth house of creativity is ruled by Gemini, so w- in my creative pursuits, which I call this a creative pursuit, we have created something, brought something to life here. I tend to be very Gemini. I like change. I like experimenting. I like new. When it comes to my art projects, like my actual art, I cannot stick with any one modality for very long just because I'm like, "Okay, I did that. What's next?" So I, yeah, I think it'll be fun to bring some of that energy to the podcast this year and hopefully... And also, we would love to hear from all of you if you have ideas. What do you wanna hear about? What, if you have anything, a fresh perspective or some fun idea for a podcast episode, we'd love to hear it. We will take- Yeah feedback. For sure. It's all about communication, and we're here to talk and teach and learn, and then also bring others in and learn from our audience. Yes. And ultimately, we are here to serve all of you, and if the content that we're bringing isn't serving you in the best way, then we'd love to pivot into what it is that you need. We'd love to hear about what it is that you're looking to learn. So- Then our Mercury there in Gemini, it brings this kind of teaching and storytelling energy. So Mercury in Gemini is all about curiosity, conversation, asking questions, and exploring ideas. So it really reinforces this space is meant to be a place where we talk, teach, explore, and grow alongside all of you. And then Cancer energy, we also have this really beautiful Venus in the third house, Jupiter in the fourth in Cancer energy. So Venus in the third house brings our heart and care into how we speak, which I just loved- Yeah that element when I was looking at this chart because I think that is how we both feel for sure about what we're doing here, is ultimately wanting to speak from the heart and care. Yes, absolutely. Right? We're never here to preach at you or to say we have all the answers. We really wanna be speaking from a place of love and care, and that we're all in this together. So that's really our intention anyway, and this Venus in the third really just gives it that, an extra emphasis, and that's, there's a lot of softness and care with that placement. And our hope for the year ahead is that you, our listeners, feel held in this space, and that you sense a connection through our words, even if we never have the privilege to meet you. And then Jupiter in the fourth in Cancer is an expansion through emotional authenticity and safety. So I see this as making the podcast a place people can come back to, something that feels grounding and familiar, and there's this feeling of this is a space where I can just be and feel understood. Okay, and then our moon, the emotional aspect, the sort of subconscious emotional undercurrent for the year is in Libra. Um, and, and sitting right on the descendant. So this is also all about our relationship with you, the listener. As we know, Libra is connection, harmony, and relationship. So this year, the moon's placement is supporting our emotional connection with all of you, which again, I just was like, this is such a heartwarming, exciting, fun chart for the year ahead. Lots of air. Good for talking. Yes. Maybe I will stumble less over my words this year. All right. And then we have Pluto in the 10th house in Aquarius. So Pluto in the 10th is about transformation of our public role, so this is interesting. And Aquarius brings in the collective, so this to me really feels like this work reaching more people, which would be such a blessing for us, and this becoming something bigger than just us, which I think has always been the intention as well. It- I've never, uh, my identity isn't wrapped up with this as much as I'm hoping that it serves something larger than- Right just us. Yeah, for sure. I think we started this to help other people like us and share- Mm-hmm how wonderful astrology is and how helpful it can be. Yeah. And then we have the North Node, which is the soul path, the North Star of the year, in Pisces in the 11th house. So this is the soul direction for the year, asking us to grow towards more trust, intuition, and flow in how we show up for all of you. So not overthinking everything, not trying to control everything, but simply allowing. Basically, the more we trust what comes through, the more the right people find this space. Which, I mean, that to me, that, this is my nodal pairing anyway, so it's a li- lifelong lesson I'm already trying to learn to let go of that control aspect and trying to make everything perfect, and just allow for flow, and just trust that Spirit is directing our words and directing our, s- the subjects we talk about, and that we are serving the highest good through that, and just trust that is coming through us. Yeah. And expanding. Maybe, I know astrology has been our basis, but we have always stayed open to talking about other subjects and other spiritual, I don't know how to say that, spiritual growth areas. Yes. Yeah. No, you're, y- uh, spot on. Yes, exactly. And we talked about that from the beginning, which is why we didn't even put the word astrology in our- Yeah title, because we wanted it to be open, left open, and not box ourself in, to be able to bring in more spiritual subjects beyond astrology, just weaving that in. Because it, uh, so many modalities in this spiritual world weave together really beautifully, and are telling the same story in different ways. And yeah, absolutely. That, and that, you're right, that Pisces North Node really lends to that. And maybe, maybe we'll start doing some interviews- Yeah this year, and bring some guests on in different modalities as well, or other astrologers. That, that's something that we've talked about as well. Yeah, for sure. And obviously, with the North Node in Pisces, the South Node at, is then in Virgo, which is what we're letting go of. And naturally with that, we're releasing that South Node Virgo in the fifth. This is letting go of perfectionism- letting go of overthinking our creativity, letting go of needing everything to be just right. And instead, we create, we share, and we trust that it's enough. And Jodie's giggling in the background because Little fun fact, we're both a little bit of a perfectionist- I would say. Yeah. Or recovering. For sure. Which, exactly. It comes from a place of really wanting this to be the best it can be. Yeah. But it definitely gets in our way- Mm-hmm sometimes. Yeah, I'd love that for us- Yeah this year. And then finally, we have Saturn and Neptune together in the 12th house, which is this really beautiful, subtle energy. There's a lot happening behind the scenes this year that we may not fully see yet, but it's shaping something. So to me, this is deepening our intuition within the podcast, grounding our spiritual connection, and building something quietly beneath the surface, which feels like this very supportive- Mm-hmm energy in the unseen realms that I, I will take as much of that as I can get. Yeah. Very fitting to both of us- 'cause we both have 12th house placements. I was thinking with the fact that we have Saturn and Neptune in the 12th house in our solar return chart, and then you and I both have Saturn in the 12th house, and I also have Mars in there, and you have something else, right? Uranus. Okay. Mm-hmm. So then I was just, th- there's just something about the 12th house where you need to go internally and- Mm-hmm regroup. I don't, but I'm not really sure- Yeah, it's a great word if that's, yeah. Regroup, yeah. So regrouping. So it just seems like the solar return chart is flowing naturally for how we flow anyway, if that makes any sense. If you can make any sense of what we just said. Yeah. Yeah, I absolutely agree. It feels very supportive of who we both are as individuals and what this podcast is, and what the intention is behind it. It feels very supportive. Yeah. And obviously we can work with, grow through, evolve with any solar return chart. Yeah. But I'm, I just, I really enjoyed looking at the chart for the year ahead. It just got me excited and feeling really hopeful and inspired, and yeah. Yeah. We just wanna keep serving you all and, and doing our very best. So when we take all of this together, this really feels like a year where we are being asked to show up more boldly, to trust our voice more deeply, to connect with all of you in even more meaningful and heart-centered ways. And ultimately, if we trust and surrender to the flow, this space hopefully continues to grow in a really aligned way. Yeah. And truly, if you're here listening, you're part of this energy with us, and you being here means the world to us, so we're really stepping into this year together. And before we close this episode, we just wanted to take a moment to speak directly to you. If you're listening to this right now, we just wanna say thank you, truly. Whether you've been here from the very beginning or you just found us recently, the fact that you chose to spend your time with us, to listen, to learn, it means more to us than we can say. Our intention with this space has always been to help you understand yourself more deeply and to give you language for things that you felt maybe you couldn't explain, and also to remind you that there's nothing wrong with you. There's only patterns, stories, and energies that are asking to be understood. We hope that when you listen to this podcast, you feel more aware, more empowered, more grounded in who you are, and that you walk away each episode with tools that you can actually use, insights that shift your perspective, and deeper trust in yourself and your own path. But more than anything, we hope this is a space where you feel seen, supported, and not alone in what you're moving through. And hopefully, a laugh now and then too. We're laughing. Because what's the point of all of it if we aren't laughing? Amen to that. If you're not laughing through life- Yeah you missed something. So thank you so much for being here with us, for growing with us, and for being a part of this space. We are so grateful for you. And with that, we are going to sign off, and we will be speaking with you again next week. Because of the bonus episode, you get three in a row. Yes. Thanks for joining us
