Creation: The Origin of Everything
Your worldview starts at Genesis 1:1. Get that wrong, and the whole foundation shifts. Get it right, and everything else starts to make sense—including who you are, why you’re here, and where it’s all headed.
This is Wisdom and Wit, and I am your bible teacher, Chris Reighley. Today's scripture comes from the book of Proverbs chapter 119 verse 89 and it says:
“Forever, O Yahweh, Your word stands firm in the heavens.”
Proverbs 29 shows what happens when people cast off restraint—chaos, injustice, and confusion. But Psalm 119:89 takes us higher: God’s Word stands firm in the heavens. It’s unshakable. Eternal. Authoritative.
That’s why creation matters. If we’re random accidents, morality is subjective and purpose is undefined. But if we’re made by God, then we’re accountable, intentional, and invited into His story.
This isn’t just about biology—it’s about theology. The doctrine of creation undergirds every other truth we believe.
The Bible begins with, “In the beginning, God…” and every biblical worldview flows from there.
