Today's scripture comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 119, verse 13,0, and it says
“The unfolding of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.”
After entering the narrow gate, Christian is led to the Interpreter’s House, where he’s shown a series of vivid lessons—rooms filled with spiritual metaphors. A dusty heart swept clean. A fire that won’t go out. A man burdened by guilt.
Each one teaches a truth.
It’s not just entertainment—it’s equipping. And in many ways, it reflects what the Holy Spirit does for us through the Word: He interprets our lives through God’s truth.
Psalm 119 celebrates this: The unfolding of Your words gives light. We don’t just need Bible knowledge; we need Holy Spirit interpretation. And that often comes through patient unfolding, one room at a time.
So don’t rush. Don’t skim the Word. Let the Spirit show you what’s underneath.
