Today's scripture comes from the book of Romans, chapter 8, verses 1 and 2, and it says
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.”
Christian arrives at the foot of the Cross, and his burden finally falls. Not through effort. Not through striving. It falls because grace wins. Chains break. And the weight rolls into the empty tomb.
Romans 8 opens with a thunderclap: No condemnation. Not less. Not postponed. None.
Shame whispers otherwise. So does your inner critic. But the gospel doesn’t negotiate with condemnation—it silences it. Jesus didn’t die to make your guilt manageable. He died to make it gone.
Today, walk like someone whose chains are not just broken, but buried
Let me ask you a question
- What guilt or failure are you still carrying that Christ already forgave?...
- Memorize Romans 8:1 and quote it when shame creeps in.
- Write a “burden list,” then tear it up as a symbol of freedom in Christ.
