Ladies and gentlemen, we ask that you please take your seats at this time as the program will begin momentarily. Thank you. Welcome back, Dimples Nation, to the Dimple Report, the official podcast of National Dimples Day. Now, I'm your host, Graceful Grady, and here we insist on being informative and entertaining. I have to say this, this episode is golden. And when I say golden, I'm referring to what else? The Oscars. We, the Dimples Nation. Took home three of the top four categories, and trust me, I toasted with a bottle, not a glass, but a bottle of Don Perry on P3 after each win. Those wins are best actress, best actor, and best supporting actor. What makes it so special was the love that was shown around the world that night. Take for an example, this young lady showing so much love and affection to our Oscar winners with dimples. You have to hear this.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't consider myself a hater. Let me start this with that. I love celebrating people's wins. I I truly do. I love everyone. Except a very specific group of people. They make my my skin itch. Irritate my soul. It does all boil down to the fact that I'm hating. But it doesn't matter. Because I can't stand them. And that group of people, those are people with dimples.
SPEAKER_00Rewind.
SPEAKER_03Sorry about that, dimples nation. That was last week. Bruh. I know, I know, I know.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Rico, please save me. Start the show.
SPEAKER_04Uplifting the airways, one dimple at a time. It's time for the Dimple Report. News, laughs, and Dimplified Moments with your host, founder, and Chief Doubles Officer of National Doubles Day, Graceful Grady. Remember, dimples are more than a trait. They're a reason to celebrate. Oh Yeah!
SPEAKER_03All right, Dimples Nation, today's episode takes us to Hollywood's biggest night, the Oscars. Millions of people watch the Academy Awards for the fashion, the speeches, and the unforgettable moments in cinema. But here, on the Dimple Report, we watch for something else. The Dimples. Oh yeah. From cheek dimples to chin dimples, today we spotlight three Oscar-winning performances where talent, charisma, and a little facial indentation helped take over Hollywood. Now, as the founder and chief dimples officer of National Dimples Day, I have to say, I'm really proud of these actors. A young lady approached me. Who knows? She could have been the funny lady on IG. But she said, you're doing a lot of bragging. So my question, am I really bragging about Dimples winning three out of four Oscar categories? No. I'm just reading the final score. Dimples three, everybody else one. So let's begin with our first segment, the Dimple Spotlight. Ladies and gentlemen, for the best supporting actor. Sean Penn earned the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his commanding role as Colonel Steve J. Lockjar. Now, in one battle after another, Sean portrays a hardened military leader navigating the moral and human cost of prolonged conflict. His performance blends intensity, authority, and quiet vulnerability. And while Sean is known for his powerful, dramatic presence, there's another distinctive feature audiences recognize instantly. And that is his cleft chin, aka butt chin. That classic chin indentation has long been associated with strong, commanding screen personalities. And Sean Penn carries that tradition with undeniable presence. Next, we have the best actress category. Now, Jesse won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her haunting and emotionally layered performance as Agnes Shakespeare. The film tells the deeply moving stories surrounding the life and loss that inspired William Shakespeare's famous tragedy, Hamlet. Jesse's portrayal of Agnes, a mother grappling with sorrow, intuition, and strength, was praised for her emotional authenticity. And when audiences see her profile on screen, they notice a subtle but elegant feature. Her chin dimpled, giving her face a timeless cinematic character. And lastly, ladies and gentlemen, we have for best actor. Michael B., we call him Michael B. at The Devil's Nation, delivered a remarkable performance in Sinners, where he played twin brothers, Elijah Smoke Moore, and Elias Stack Moore. Now, portraying two characters in the same film is already a challenge, but Michael B made each brother feel completely distinct, giving audiences two powerful performances and one movie. The two roles required emotional range, physical intensity, and of course, a screen presence. And when Michael B smiles, especially on the red carpet, his cheek doubles become instantly recognizable. Now it's time for a commercial break, but don't forget to grab a pen and a piece of paper. You know what time it is.
SPEAKER_00Hi, cute dimples.
SPEAKER_01Is that your best pickup line?
SPEAKER_00No pickup line, just complimenting your dimples. Did you know July 9th is National Dimples Day? Really? Yeah, they have a fun site and merchandise. Check it out. NationalDimplesday.com.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. NationalDimplesday.com? Got it.
SPEAKER_00May I uh buy you a cup of coffee? I feel something brewing between us.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_03Welcome back, everyone. It's that time. It's trivia time. Alright, Dimples Nation. I have three questions for you. Testing your memory. They are multiple choices, so let's see how you do. Question number one. Which Oscar winner portrayed Colonel Stephen J. Lockjar in one battle after another? Christian Bale? B Sean Penn. C. Matt Damon. The correct answer is The answer Sean Penn. B. Question number two. Jesse Buckley won her Best Actress Oscar Award for playing Agnes Shakespeare in which historical drama? A. Shakespeare in Love. B. Ophelia. C. Hamlet. The correct answer is the answer C Hamlet. And the final question. Michael B. Jordan earned Best Actor honors for playing Twin Brothers, Smoke and Stack More. In which film? A. Creed 3. B. Sinners. Or C without remorse. The correct answer is the answer. B Sinners. Alright, Dimples Nation. That brings us to the end of the Dimple Spotlight. But before we go, I want to play this special dedication to the Oscar winners.
SPEAKER_07Ladies and gentlemen, Oscar night. Gold in the air, but I'm watching a smile. Stars look good on a night like this. But I see something they don't control. That little detail steals the show. One battle after another, truth unfold, like left gin dimple. Worth more than old. From the stage to the soul, everything feels right. Yeah, they come for the wind, but I already know it's the smile that shines. Agnes in ham with truth in her eyes. Every scene got a store within. Jamie Lee Kurt is classic and clean. Left chin, dimple, lights up the screen. Everything everywhere she made her claim. Little marks of magic every time they shine. Two rolls deep, yay, bring that groove. Smoke and stack, yeah, he stole that scene with cheap dimples flashing in between. Nicole Kidman, elegant so fine. The hours shine back, dimples divine, dimples of Venus, soft design, hidden beauty, one of a kind.
SPEAKER_03Now it's time for Dimple Drops. Now sticking with the Oscar theme, I'm going to share a little Hollywood history with you. You ready?
SPEAKER_05Say what?
SPEAKER_03Did you know that the Academy Awards presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences first took place in 1929. The inaugural ceremony was held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and it was a very, and I mean very different event from today's global broadcast. The entire ceremony lasted about 15 minutes. No television cameras, no dramatic opening of envelopes, just a formal dinner honoring the year's best films and performances. And here's a devil connection. The first best actor winner was Emil Jannings. The first best actress winner was Janet Gaynor. Now, what did they have in common? They both were known for their cleft chin. Again, aka butt chin, reminding us that even in the earliest days of Hollywood, dimples were already part of movie star history. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, that concludes Dimple Drops. After this commercial break, it's poetry reading time.
SPEAKER_09That was Dimple versus Let the Gobes Flow. With graceful Granny on the mic so steady from the Dimple Report and the poetry's dimple ready.
SPEAKER_03All right, Dimples Nation, let me grab my shades. Golden trophies shining bright. Stars and dimples grace the night. From chin to cheek, their smiles appear. Dimples stilling scenes each and every year. Alright everyone, welcome back to the Dimple Report. Now we move into one of my favorite segments of the podcast, Film and TV Dimplified. This is the part of the podcast where I recommend a film or television series worth watching, especially when it features stars who proudly represent the Dimple's Nation. And today's recommendation is a television series that connects perfectly with our Oscar theme because it features not one but two previous Academy Award winners. The show is called Scarpetta. Now, Scarpetta is, how can I say a forensic crime thriller based on the best-selling novels by Patricia Cornwell. This series dives into the world of medical investigation, mystery, and the dark psychology behind the criminal behavior, making it a must-watch for fans of crime dramas. But understand, here at the Dimple Report, we also noticed something else about the cast. The show features two Oscar-winning actresses with distinct dimples. First, we have Jamie Lee Curtis. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her unforgettable performance in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. And if you've ever seen her speak or smile on screen, you'll notice a distinct feature that adds character to her look. Jamie Lee Curtis has a cleft chin. It's a classic Hollywood facial trait that has been around and associated with strong and memorable personalities. Let me give you some names. Ava Gardner, Joyce Bryant, Sophia Laurent, and Marie Felix, just the name of Few. Now, the series also stars Nicole Kidman. Nicole Kidman won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her remarkable portrayal of Virginia Wolfe in the film The Hours. Okay, why is she in the Dimples Nation, you ask? Nicole represents another type of dimple, and that is the dimples of Venus. These are the small indentations located on the lower back, right above the waistline, often referred to as simply back dimples. They're named after Venus, the Roman goddess of beauty and love. Oh yeah. So if you're looking for your next series to binge, one that combines mystery, science, powerful performances, and a little bit of dimple representation, check out Scarpetta. And remember, at the Dimple Report, we believe great storytelling is even better when it comes with dimples. We'll be right back with everyone's favorite to close the show.
SPEAKER_06Cheek dimples, sweet and fine. Shinzo pulled that perfect line.
SPEAKER_08The dimple yum yah yah yah yahim bugs, show them proud, one of them bugs, stay it loud, love them bugs, you belong. On the dumbbell report, come stay along. On the road on the two podcasts made for me and you find that I did the mic on the video, I'm leaving the mic on the name.
SPEAKER_03Alright, welcome back to the Dimple Report. We've talked about Oscar winners in Hollywood. We recommended a great show in film and TV, Dimplified, and now it's time for one of my fantasy dimpled draftees. This is the segment where I select a player or more from the world of sports, someone representing their Dimples Nation. And I predict that their next game will be outstanding. And since today's episode has been all about the Oscars, I decided to stay on theme, my fantasy dimpled draftee. For this episode is Oscar, but not the gold trophy. I'm talking about Oscar Sheepway of the Utah Jazz. Sheepway has already proven himself as a dominant rebounder and a relentless competitor on the court. His motor, physical strength, and hustle around the basket have made him a player coaches love, and the opponents, they respect him. And here's my prediction for the Dimples Nation. I believe the next game will be the best game of Oscar Sheepway's NBA career. More minutes, more rebounds, more impact. So remember the name. And now we take this time to hear from one of our sponsors.
