That Nashville Girl
“Are you that Nashville girl with the podcast?”
Yep — that’s me.
I’m the girl you see around town with the (patent-pending) bob. The one who can’t stop talking about the artist I just discovered or the songwriter I caught at a writer’s round that somehow changed my life a little. I pick my favorite athletes based on their charities and personalities — not just what they do on the field. And when I go out, I notice everything… the service, the drinks, the lighting, the energy, who’s sitting where and why.
Basically, I’m your unofficial Nashville bestie.
The one who tells you who to listen to before they blow up.
Who you should be paying attention to (and why).
And what actually lives up to the hype in a city that has a lot of it.
And each week, I sit down with someone in this city you might already know — or absolutely should — and we get into the stories, the moments, and the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes you feel like you’re a little more in it than everyone else.
It’s fun, it’s real, it’s a little unfiltered… and it’s the Nashville I love so much!

I’m Still Waiting on John Mayer (But This Beauty Founder Says I Shouldn’t)

This episode starts with a beard and ends with us going completely unscripted after the podcast ends. And we kept the mics and cameras rolling!
Megan Gray is the co-founder of Fable Beard Co. and Fable Beauty, brands she and her husband built after she complained that his beard products smelled terrible. That one moment sparked an idea that turned into a thriving business.
And it was clear to me how this idea became a reality because after a few minutes with Megan, our conversation went from business insider and life advice to the start of what should be Megan's next business -- dating advice.
We talk about the kinds of questions people should be asking early on but rarely do. Megan shares some perspective that might change the way you think about relationships… and she also has a few thoughts about my ongoing joke that I’m still waiting on John Mayer.
We cover:
• building a business with your spouse
• how a simple frustration can turn into a big idea
• asking better questions when dating
• and why the conversations that matter most are usually the ones you didn’t plan
Don't forget to stick around after Megan shares her Life Advice in 3 Words or Less because we kept the mics on and the conversation going.
Sometimes the best conversations happen unexpectedly. Pull up a chair for this one!
Don't forget: new episodes drop every Tuesday! Like and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts to make sure you never miss a minute!
