On 24 March, Formula One has witnessed victories shaped in very different ways — through endurance, defiance, and opportunity.

In 1991, Ayrton Senna delivered one of the most iconic drives in the sport’s history, overcoming a failing gearbox and extreme physical exhaustion to finally win his home Brazilian Grand Prix. It was a triumph that pushed both driver and machine beyond their limits.

In 2013, the Malaysian Grand Prix exposed the tensions within Red Bull, as Sebastian Vettel ignored team orders to pass Mark Webber — a moment that defined their rivalry and sparked one of Formula One’s most infamous controversies.

And in 2024, the Australian Grand Prix showed how quickly fortunes can change, as Max Verstappen’s retirement opened the door for Carlos Sainz to return from surgery and take a controlled and impressive victory for Ferrari.

Three races. Three very different paths to victory.

Each a reminder that in Formula One, winning is never just about speed — but about what happens when everything is on the line.
