Evening Listeners!

Always pay close attention to the news media when imminent, life-threatening crises arise such as severe weather is on the horizon as I’m sure you do as well. Unfortunately, we still have families and individuals out there who disregard evacuation mandates, so I ask myself, well, how can it be called a mandate to evacuate for a particular area, but people are still allowed to stay. I understand there are those who would rather ride it out to protect what they have and take care of themselves no matter the risk, but the bottom line is when the word evacuate is given then why is it not 100% enforced?

Well, after conducting my very own research, I learned that, yes, the United States has evacuation mandates issued by state and local governments for imminent, life-threatening situations such as hurricanes, floods, or fires, and these mandates are a serious public safety measure that individuals are expected to follow. Failure to comply can result in fines, arrest, or other penalties, and it also means you will not receive assistance from first responders if you remain in the affected area.

With that said, listen to the story about the well-compensated, arrogant, do as they please Tolsen Family and how disregarding a major evacuation mandate led to a critical authoritative decision made by Dad that cost the family a couple of cherished loved ones!
