Then my wife and I made like forty million dollars in the last 20 years. You understand what I mean? What a bad decision that would have been for my poor family, right? For my wife, from my kids, and for all the people that were ever in my hierarchy if I would have listened to that voice. And so when you learn that adversity's a gift, write that in your nose. The day you learn that adversity is a gift, I don't know if you'll ever, it's gonna take a paradigm shift because you've almost been taught your whole life that adversity's bad. But the day you find out that adversity is a gift, Abdul, you will never be stopped again. If you wonder what it is that drives Levi, what drives Matt, what drives Mario, what drives Eric is they now realize that adversity is a gift. So what does that mean? It means whatever comes out of your mouth the moment you have it becomes your reality. And if you can say, like Eric says, every adversity in my life has a benefit if I look for it right now. You got it? Because if you speak the adversity out of your mouth, those words drop right inside your heart and they attract more adversity. Did you ever notice the people that keep talking about adversity have more adversity? I don't know who to pick on right now. I can't pick on lady's my God's son. I can't pick on Jesse. She's like God's woman to pick up. I'll take Pastor Mike because no one will see this. If I said, hey, now that I really got to know you better, not only are you ugly, but you're stupid too. Why can I say that? Because he can block my words, can't he? You can block everybody's words that ever says anything to you, but there's one person you can't block their words, your own words. God created us in a way that whatever we speak out of our mouth goes directly in our heart, and nothing can block it. So when you speak out a negative, it starts to grow, and the enemy knows how to make it grow. He knows how to fertilize it and make it grow. So you want to, you don't want to ever see adversity out of your mouth. I remember when my mentor taught me this and I was new in the business, and he said, Greg, I was on my way to an appointment. This is Hubert Humphrey, right? He's making about four million a year, and and he says he's driving on the freeway in Atlanta and the tread comes off of a truck. You ever see when the tread comes up and it's not a flat tire? And the tread hits the side of his new Mercedes, but he's still going to go on the appointment. But then all of a sudden he looked down and there was blood by his thigh, and he realized his window was shattered. So the window shattered and it was bleeding. And so rather than cancel the appointment, he called, he called up his wife and said, Honey, meet me at this Mercedes dealership and bring me a suit. And then he called the Mercedes dealership and said, Hey, I got a shattered window, I need a loaner car. And then he said he drove in, he got the new suit from his wife, he put it on, he got a loaner car, and he said, Greg, I made that appointment. Why do you think I made that appointment? And back then I had the mental toughness of a squirrel. So I would have given up if I was broke, but I really would have, if I was making$4 million a year, I would have very easily canceled the appointment. And he said to me, because I never heard this before, I never heard much about adversity before. He said, think of adversity like a personality. And you never want adversity to know it's stronger than you, so you never want to tell it something that lets it know that you're weak. And I have found that to be extremely true. That adversity doesn't know if you're strong or weak except by the words out of your mouth. And you can be real good in front of all your team and talk real big in front of everybody, but you know when you're home alone and you start saying things to your spouse or somebody else, your brother-in-law, they're listening to see. We're getting to you because they'll whisper to you all day. The adversary will whisper to you all day, and he doesn't know if you're listening until he starts hearing you say adversely out of your mouth, and then you know what they say, we got her. We got him. And they know after a meeting like this, you're not gonna listen to him now, but a week from now. Does that make sense to you? Are you sure that makes sense to you? Every adversity in your life has a benefit if you look for it. Because I happen to know that the adversary has limited resources. So he's very busy with a war in Ukraine right now, he's very busy with a war in Israel, right? He's all worried about the election on November 5th. And if he's gonna come to your house, you should take this as such a bad thing. If he's gonna come and somehow try to get you discouraged, it's because he knows something big is right around the corner. And if he can lower your expectation, that's his number one purpose, is to lower your expectation. And you know what? If I if I held a pen up right now, if I dropped it 10 times, how many times would it go up? Zero, because there's a law called gravity. Well, there's another law on earth that says you're gonna get exactly what you expect for the rest of your life. Now, whenever I say that to people, they practice it for about 12 hours. They go, yeah, I'm gonna be like pop a cap, I'm gonna expect the best. No, this has to become a lifestyle. You're gonna get whatever you can expect for the rest of your life. And if you're really a highly enlightened person, you're gonna realize everything good in your life that's there right now, you attracted it. Now, the second part's gonna be very hard for some of you. Every bad thing in your life, somehow you attracted it. Because your belief and your faith attracts what you want and your fear attracts what you don't want. And nobody in this room would say they have fear, but if I ask you how many phone calls did you make yesterday to prospects, don't tell me. Right? You told me you want to make 250 grand this year, and you made 11 phone calls yesterday. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, like, why aren't you making the phone calls? Right? You guys have no idea what your future's gonna look like. You understand me? You're only one person away. I was one person away from an explosion in my business. You're just that one person away. But if you don't expect that person to come, they're not coming. So you're supposed to use your imagination not just to say the goal of 25 recruits this month. You're supposed to see people in your imagination. That's why the Lord said, when you pray, say it out of your mouth, but believe it in your heart. So, God, the greatest gift God gave all of us is our imagination. That's why I go to GF Island every day for about a half an hour. It's fabulous when I go to GFI Island because everybody says, Cap, you look like you're 18. Cap, you got so much energy. Cap, you got money like coming all over the place. That's what happened. When I go to GFI Island, everyone's like that. And you know what makes you feel good? And your mind can't tell the difference between something real and something imagined. Right? So if you don't have your soulmate, everyone just starts seeing that soulmate. Good looking, tall, woman or man, unless you're short. Jesus. God gave us our imagination so we would visualize all of our dreams coming true. But the devil wants us to use our imagination for problems because whatever we imagine, you know when you get that phone call? Rebecca, call me right away. I'm a client of yours and I got challenges for you. You want to call them back right then? Do you know what I'm trying to say to you? Is start taking, training your imagination like Eric's done, like Matthew's done. You think it's a shock to Matthew that his team's gonna have crossing over 9,000 new recruits? It's not a shock to this man because he visualizes it every day. I'll close with this one because you know I always told that that Kung Fu Panda story when people say, Greg, how could you make a 22,000 in your fifth year and 750,000 in your tenth year? What's the difference? And I never could explain it to people because I didn't understand it until I watched the movie Kung Fu Panda with my grandkids. Remember what he said? They said, Hey, what's the secret to that noodle soup here? He said, You're not gonna get it yet. And he finally said that to his dad, Dad, what's the secret to your special noodle soup? He said, The secret to my special noodle soup is there is no secret. And he said, What do you mean? He said, Because something's special, if you believe it's special, and I realized my first five years I didn't think I was special. Why would anyone follow me? And then I figured it out. If I don't feel good about Greg Cap, no one's gonna feel good about Greg Cap. If I don't think I'm special, I'm not special. And I remember making that transition inside of myself, right? Because there's scripture that says whatever you believe about yourself, deep in your heart you are. And so I just worked on it every day. I just said I believe in myself. I don't believe in myself, I believe in myself, I believe in myself. People believe in me. I started saying affirmations inside my spirit, and then that's what happened with me.
