Hello, beautiful soul! It’s Monday and this is The Midlife Glow Report—your go-to space to reset, refocus, and rise. I’m Jax, your midlife reinvention coach and glow-up guide. This week, remember: your past doesn’t define you—your next decision does. Let’s walk into this week with clarity, courage, and confidence. You’ve got this, and I’ve got you!

In today’s episode of The Midlife Glow Reprt will touch on some wellness ideas and trends plus what’s hot in skincare and beauty. Also I’ll be sharing a life coaching concept that can be so beneficial for you. This concept I’ll be sharing with you is one of my most important tools I learned while becoming a certified Life Coach.

But before we get started I’ll cover some regular scheduled content.

This past weekend, I had a thought that really settled into my spirit—and I want to share it with you for this week’s mindset minute:

You are not behind. You are right on time.

Let that sink in.

In a world that moves fast and constantly pushes us to compare, it’s easy to feel like we’re late to something—late to success, to love, to purpose, to the life we thought we’d be living by now. But the truth is… your timing is divine.

Everything you’ve walked through, every detour, every delay—it’s all been shaping you for what’s next. You are not off track. You’re on your path. And just because someone else’s timeline looks different doesn’t mean yours is wrong. So this week, when that voice of comparison creeps in, remind yourself:

You are not behind.

You’re becoming.

You are blooming.

And you are right on time.

Let’s walk through this week with grace. You’ve got this.

Alright, Glow-Getters, here’s your Monday Confidence Booster—and it’s a small but powerful one.

Each evening this week, I want you to grab your journal and reflect on the accomplishments of your day. I’m not talking just about big wins—though those are fabulous—I mean the little victories too. You got out of bed when you didn’t feel like it? That counts. You stayed calm in traffic? That counts. You drank your water and skipped the soda? Absolutely, that counts.

Now, you might be wondering: ‘Jax, what does writing this down actually do?’ Let me tell you, as a life coach and neuroscience nerd—this practice is a total game-changer.

Here’s why:

First, It rewires your brain for self-recognition.

Every time you acknowledge a win, your brain activates the reward center, releasing dopamine—that lovely feel-good neurotransmitter. Over time, this builds new neural pathways that shift your default mindset from self-criticism to self-trust. You’re training your brain to see your efforts instead of overlooking them.

Second, It builds your self-confidence.

Confidence isn’t born from perfection—it’s built through proof. When you see consistent evidence, in your own handwriting, that you’re showing up for yourself—even in small ways—you begin to trust that you’re capable of more. You start to believe in your own follow-through, and that belief becomes your power.

Finally third, It calms your nervous system.

Reflecting at night tells your brain the day is complete. It signals closure, helps you mentally “file away” the day’s efforts, and makes it easier to sleep. That pause and acknowledgement reduces stress, lowers cortisol, and primes your mind for a fresh, confident start in the morning.

So tonight, open your journal, jot down 3 wins—big or small—and let that reflection be your bridge to confidence. You’re not just surviving your days anymore. You’re showing up, glowing up, and writing your own proof of progress.

You’ve got this.

I was flipping through a magazine last week—because yes, I still love a good glossy magazine moment—and I came across an article that stopped me in my tracks. With summer just around the corner, I thought this was the perfect time to share it with you, because it’s something many of us overlook: skin cancer myths.

Now most of us think skin cancer is only caused by too much sun. And yes—UV exposure is a major factor. But what I read reminded me that it’s not the only one.

There are several other contributors to skin cancer risk, including genetics, chronic illnesses, radiation exposure, certain chemical medications, and even viruses.

Yep—you heard that right. For example, the HPV virus has been linked to squamous cell carcinoma, and one out of every ten people with melanoma has a family history of the disease.

But here’s what really surprised me:

Melanoma can appear in places that get little to no sun at all—like under your fingernails or toenails, inside your mouth, or even in the genital area. Which means this isn’t just a beach day concern—it’s a whole-body awareness issue.

So here’s your glow-up wellness reminder:

Yes, wear your SPF daily.

But also—schedule a professional, head-to-toe skin exam at least once a year.

And do regular self-checks. Get familiar with your skin so you can catch anything unusual early.

Midlife is the time to protect this beautiful skin you’re in and care for your whole self—from the outside and the inside. Your glow-up includes your health, always.

Stay sun smart, stay proactive, and stay glowing.

Okay glow-getters, let’s talk beauty buzz! You know I’m always keeping my eye on what’s trending—and this month, it’s all about body mists. Not just any mist, though—lightweight, luxe scents that make you feel fresh, feminine, and glowing without being overpowering.

So here’s the one that caught my attention—and honestly? I’m obsessed.

It’s called Velvet Sun Hair & Body Perfume by LoveShackFancy—and yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds. It’s a multi-use mist you can spritz on your body and your hair, and it’s giving me full-on sweet summer goddess vibes.

The scent? Think beachy and floral—it’s a warm mix of coconut and ylang ylang, which makes it feel both tropical and romantic. Every time I wear it, I feel like I’ve just stepped out of a beach house on the coast with a light breeze and glowing skin. It’s feminine, fresh, and just a little bit flirty. Perfect for summer brunches, patio nights, or those feel-good solo walks when you just want to smell amazing for you.

It retails for $42 and you can find it at loveshackfancy.com. So if you love scents that make you feel pretty, polished, and playful, this might be your next summer staple.

Give it a spritz, and let me know what you think!

Finally I am covering the number one coaching concept I learned from my certification from The Life Coach School.

So let me set the scene…

Have you ever sat with your morning coffee, staring out the window, feeling that tug inside? That quiet little whisper that says,

“I know there’s more in me… so why can’t I seem to get started?”

Maybe you’ve been dreaming of finally prioritizing your health. Maybe it’s starting that passion project, upgrading your style, changing careers, or just feeling more like you again.

But day after day, it’s like you’re walking through fog—knowing where you want to go, but not quite knowing how to move forward.

First of all, I want you to hear this from me loud and clear:

You’re not broken. You’re just human. And even better? You’re waking up.

Today, I want to gently walk you through one of the most powerful coaching tools I use in my own life and with all the incredible women I coach. It’s called… The Model.

It’s simple. It’s science-backed. And it’s a total game-changer when you understand how your mind actually works.

What Is The Model?

The Model helps us understand how our thoughts shape our feelings, our actions, and ultimately—our results.

It goes like this:

Circumstances create Thoughts which create Feelings which then create  Actions and finally the Results

Let’s break it down:

Circumstances are neutral facts. Things like, “I’m 47.” “I weigh 230 pounds.” “I got laid off.” These aren’t good or bad until…

We add thoughts like, “It’s too late to start over.” “I’ll never lose this weight.” “I’m not lovable.” And oh, those thoughts hurt—but remember, they’re optional.

Those thoughts create feelings—like shame, overwhelm, fear, sadness.

Our feelings drive our actions—or in many cases, inaction. We procrastinate. We scroll. We don’t show up.

And that leads to our results—which often prove our original thought, and keep us stuck in the same old loop.

Sound familiar?

Now here’s the golden truth:

Everything after the circumstance is in your control. Your thoughts. Your feelings. Your actions. Your results.

You are not at the mercy of your mind—you are the witness, the designer, and the editor of it.

Why This Matters in Midlife

Midlife is not a crisis—it’s an invitation. A sacred chance to rewrite your story.

But too often, we think we need more willpower, more time, more discipline.

Nope.

What we really need is more awareness.

Because what’s truly standing between you and your glow-up—whether that’s your health, your confidence, your career, or your style—is not your age, your weight, or your circumstances.

It’s your thoughts.

And the amazing news? Thoughts are changeable.

How Do You Change a Thought?

It’s not a light switch. It’s a practice. A beautiful, life-giving practice.

Here’s how we begin:

Step 1: Witness Your Thoughts

Just observe. Sit quietly—no phone, no distractions—and notice what your mind is saying.

What do you hear? What tone does your mind use with you?

This may feel awkward at first, but soon you’ll start to recognize patterns. Maybe it’s self-doubt, fear, or that sneaky “what’s the point” voice.

Step 2: Ask Gently, “Is This Thought Helpful?”

Not “Is it true?”—because your brain will shout “YES!”

Instead, ask: “Is this helpful to who I’m becoming?”

This question shifts you from judgment to self-leadership.

Step 3: Shift Into Compassion First

You can’t bully yourself into change. You can’t shame yourself into showing up.

Try this instead:

“No wonder I feel stuck when I think this way.”

“It makes sense I haven’t moved forward if I’ve believed this for 20 years.”

That self-compassion creates safety—and safety is what gives your brain permission to change.

Try This Coaching Practice Today

Let’s say your current situation is: “I haven’t worked out in months.”

Your thought might be: “I’m lazy.”

That creates the feeling: defeated.

So the action? You don’t move.

And the result? You stay stuck.

But what if you tried this instead?

New Thought: “My body deserves movement, no matter where I’m starting.”

Feeling: motivated.

Action: You take a walk around the block.

Result: You start building momentum—and self-trust.

Can you feel the difference?

This is the power of The Model. And this is how you begin to glow up your mind—before anything else.

 Your Midlife Glow-Up Homework

This week, I want you to do this:

Write down one situation in your life right now that feels heavy.

Notice your very first automatic thought.

Name the feeling that thought creates.

Ask yourself: Is this thought helpful?

Then, choose a new, loving thought—and write it down.

Repeat it daily, and watch what shifts.

You are allowed to think new thoughts. You are allowed to feel differently. You are allowed to create new results.

My Final Thought

I want to leave you with this truth:

You’re not behind. You’re just beginning.

Your mind might love its old patterns because they feel safe—but you don’t have to stay there. You are awakening. You are evolving. And midlife? It’s your masterpiece season.

You’ve got this, my friend. Let’s keep glowing up—together.

And that’s a wrap on today’s episode of The Midlife Glow Report.

I hope this conversation gave you a fresh perspective, a little spark of motivation, and most importantly—a reminder that you are never stuck. You are simply becoming.

Whether you’re shifting your thoughts, changing old patterns, or just beginning to believe in your next chapter, know this: you are not behind—you are right on time.

This week, give yourself permission to witness your thoughts, speak to yourself with love, and take one small, powerful step forward. Your glow-up isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up with intention, one thought at a time.
