SPEAKER_00

Hey ladies, I am Shane from Shane Smith and the Saints from Austin, Texas.

SPEAKER_02

Welcome back to another episode of Ladies Love Country.

SPEAKER_03

Ladies Love Country. Ladies Love Country.

SPEAKER_01

Today on Ladies Love Country, we're joined by Shane from Shane Smith and the Saints. They're one of the most talked-about live acts in country music and just toured down under. They just played Nissan Stadium at CMA Fest last night in Nashville. The Texas band has a loyal following, relentless touring schedule, and we can't wait to hear all about it. Ladies, please welcome Shane from Shane Smith and the Saints.

SPEAKER_00

What's up? Welcome, Shane! Glad to be here. Thank you for having me.

SPEAKER_02

So are you feeling lonely without the other Saints?

SPEAKER_00

Always. Always. No, they we're all we've got a crazy uh travel schedule right now, so everybody's getting their stuff together, and we gotta go to the airport right after this. And we do a fly date in in Texas, and then we fly right back, meet the buses in Kentucky, then buses take us back here to Nashville, then we get back to the airport, have to fly back to Texas. It's like the next like 48 hours are gonna be. You don't know where you are, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's all good. Don't know what day it is. You just gotta make sure you get that caffeine in.

SPEAKER_00

For sure, yeah. We just sent Ethan to go try to get us some coffee.

SPEAKER_02

What's your coffee order?

SPEAKER_00

Uh actually, I've been big on a black coffee with a double shot of espresso.

SPEAKER_02

There's a lot of caffeine. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Straight up. Like.

SPEAKER_02

I gotta say, the black coffee, like the drip coffee that you guys, everyone drinks here, it's like so strong. It makes my heart beat so fast.

SPEAKER_00

Well, like over there, do they do Americanos there?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, like where it's we call them long blacks.

SPEAKER_00

Long blacks, okay. Yeah. Nah, dude. It doesn't go over like that in Texas. Like, no way. Like it's gotta be. Like, even my mom, like, my mom will make gnarly coffee, like lots of coffee. And I'll pour it in, it's like syrup coming out. I mean, it's like the thickest.

SPEAKER_02

When you get like the bottom of the barrel?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, dude. It's thick. It's thick. Yeah, but you gotta, I'll I'll shake it up, you know. I mean, it all helps, you know. Is your mom musical? Um, not really, but she um, so she had a cousin um that was in a actually a Christian band in the 90s that was really, really successful called Phillips, Craig, and Dean. And uh Dan Dean is her cousin. Her her family, like, they have a lot of like uh cousins and stuff that were either musicians or artists, painters, stuff like that. And they were all the Deans. It's that side of the family. But um, anyways, yeah, but she herself doesn't really play any instruments, and and I think she messes with piano some, but that's it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay, there we go.

SPEAKER_00

When did you start like singing and playing instruments and so she tried to get us to play piano, and I was way too ADD to like focus, you know, and and I don't I don't feel like uh you know a piano teacher could ever hold my attention at all. And um, and so I got out of that, stopped doing that for years, and then one of my older brothers, I have three brothers, there's four boys in my family. Uh one of my older brothers, Connor, went to college, and I was uh I guess a sophomore in high school. He came home for Christmas, his roommate in college played guitar, so he learned guitar a little bit. And when I saw him doing it, I was like, oh my god, I gotta do this. And so I I ended up like saving up money and went and bought one and and just figured out chords, and you know, I got online and you could like look up like where to put your fingers on for an A minor chord or a D major or whatever, and I just printed out this thing, and I just like started just trying to memorize it, you know, and and uh learn how to play like Blink 182 guitar chads or whatever it was at the time. But anyways, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh good. So we want to do like a little um a little game. You're obviously here alone today, so we're gonna we're gonna go.

SPEAKER_00

I am not a TikTok guy.

SPEAKER_02

You are now though, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you are like inspired me.

SPEAKER_02

So we do we like to do like with band members, we like to do like a who's more likely to, but because they're not here, who's more likely to? So like we'll say who's more likely in your bet in your band, who's the biggest diva?

SPEAKER_00

The biggest diva. Oh man.

SPEAKER_02

The best part about it is that you are.

SPEAKER_00

We'll say Dustin is the biggest diva.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and Dustin's not here to defend himself.

SPEAKER_00

Our lead guitarist, Dustin.

SPEAKER_02

He can just Why do you the biggest diva?

SPEAKER_00

He's got a little bit longer hair, and he's just like he's like, you know, is he sassy? He'll do the hair toss every now and then. There's a little there's a little sass with that.

SPEAKER_01

Who's the most likely to crowd surf?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, most likely to crowd surf would also be Dustin. A hundred percent.

SPEAKER_01

Has he ever crowd surf before?

SPEAKER_00

I think he has. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure he has definitely jumped into an audience before.

SPEAKER_01

He's gonna do well in Australia. When you come back next time, I think crowd surfing should be on the top.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so excited to go back to us. We gotta talk about that at some point because I we had a blast going over there.

SPEAKER_02

We'll we'll touch on it with Wade after because we want to hear all about it. Oh, yeah. And the rhyme. Yeah, okay. Um, who is most likely to um last eight seconds on a bull?

SPEAKER_00

Last eight seconds on a bull?

SPEAKER_02

Um you can also say yourself for any of these if you if you choose to. Oh man.

SPEAKER_00

That would make me feel so cool if I would say no. No, I think um maybe our lead guitarist, or I'm sorry, our bassist, Chase, he's a big old boy, you know. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

He can take a bull.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Um yeah, I mean, I feel like I feel like he would, yeah, bear wrestle with it with a bull for eight seconds. Like I don't know how he would do it, but he would find a way, like grab it by the ears or something. But anyways.

SPEAKER_01

Who's most likely to cry during a country song?

SPEAKER_00

Most likely to cry during a country song. I would say our drummer Stover. He he has emotional streaks sometimes with songs, and I could see him tearing up. Uh he I know for a fact he cried at a Jason Isbel concert recently. So I'll throw him under the bus for that. I thought it would be.

SPEAKER_02

Who's most likely to get a drunk tattoo?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, most likely to get a drunk tattoo would be Chase, our faces.

SPEAKER_02

After the emotional.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he doesn't even have to be drunk. If someone has an ink gun, he's done them at hotel rooms in Malaysia. We played a festival in Malaysia one time. He got a tattoo in a hotel room. I mean, this guy will get some tattoos.

SPEAKER_02

You didn't get one with him?

SPEAKER_00

No. I'm not I've got the band got a DTM. Yeah, neither do I. I feel like I would just devastate my mother if I did that and I could have.

SPEAKER_02

What if you got mum tattooed, like right here?

SPEAKER_00

She would be so pissed if I did that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Now, a couple of your songs have been on the show Yellowstone.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

If you had to match up you and your band with characters in Yellowstone, do you know Yellowstone and character characters enough to match them up?

SPEAKER_00

Like every one of us?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Or anyone that like really jumps out at you.

SPEAKER_02

A couple.

SPEAKER_00

Chase would be Rip. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

We need to meet Chase.

SPEAKER_00

Stover. Stover would be Bingham's character.

SPEAKER_02

Ryan Bingham, also a great one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh he's a great character. Casey would be Casey Dutton. Bennett, our fiddle player.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Um surely someone's a Beth. Yes, Beth. Badass. My wife. There we go.

SPEAKER_00

We need to meet your wife. She's out on the road with us all the time.

SPEAKER_02

We would love to meet your wife.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, y'all would love her. Um and uh let me thank here.

SPEAKER_02

Who are you gonna be?

SPEAKER_00

Dustin would be the diva.

SPEAKER_02

Who's the biggest diva?

SPEAKER_00

It's kind of. I want to oh man. Who would I be? If I was a Yellowstone character, who would I be out of everyone?

SPEAKER_02

What about John Dutton?

SPEAKER_00

We need to meet as a family. Yeah, he would be John. That's our tour manager for everybody that can't see. Ethan would be John Dutton. We need to meet as a family.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, who is that guy? No, I think it is.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's probably I just get all day, every day. I'm just I got just fire being thrown at me.

SPEAKER_02

How was your coffee experience when you were in uh Australia? Um it didn't have the did you do the lawn that's super hot?

SPEAKER_00

It's way hot. But honestly, in Australia, I was a little um you can't, like we were talking earlier, you can't get like just a great like black coffee. I feel like that's hard to come by over there. You can get like espresso, wonderful espresso. Um a lot of times I'll do a quad shot of espresso just on four shots of espresso. 100%. You're amazing. Dude, my receptors are shot. I have no chance of like espresso in there. Yeah, did you do that? Yeah, black coffee with shot of espresso. My man, I'm telling you. This is why I need the boss and he gets it.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you, John.

SPEAKER_00

That's a John Dutton move right there.

unknown

I know my kids.

SPEAKER_00

I know my children.

unknown

I know my kids.

SPEAKER_03

This isn't coffee, it's whiskey.

SPEAKER_00

All in all, though, the there's just such great food in uh Australia. In a lot of places. There really is. There is. There really is. It reminds me a lot, honestly, uh, of Austin. A lot of the city centres in Australia remind me a lot of Austin with like the restaurants and the bars. Um like I had like the best breakfast I think I've ever had in my life when we were in uh I think we're in uh Melbourne? Broad Beach, I think. Oh, in the Gulf Coast? I'm pretty sure it was in Broad Beach.

SPEAKER_02

What did you have?

SPEAKER_00

Dude, I don't even know. It was like weird.

SPEAKER_02

It was uh we do do brunch pretty well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I can I literally can't even explain it. It was like there was fried shrimp involved with it. There was like an ale, like an oil, like a really hot oh, like a spicy chili oil.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yeah, we do. Spicy chili oil. We do love a spicy chili oil. Yeah. Oh, that has that has prawns in it. That has like shrimp in it. Yeah, yeah, crispy chili oil. Beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was crazy. It's good stuff. I'd never had anything like it before, but it was really good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, wow.

SPEAKER_01

What were some other highlights in Australia when you were touring down under?

SPEAKER_00

Um, our dear friends um Gabby and John uh live down. They used to live in Bondi, and they moved over to, I can't remember what the name of this I think is it Manly? It's like amazing beach community. I think it's Manly.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Avalon?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's I think it's Manly. It's probably Manly. And aren't there like evergreen trees like like in a in a line down it?

SPEAKER_02

There are in a lot of beaches. Yeah. Okay, like that whole area of that northern beach is that.

SPEAKER_00

It's a killer little town. Yeah, yeah. Uh anyways, we got to go stay with them, hang out.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um it's definitely manly. Because I can hear her saying manly. Like this girl literally, so it's her sister is Bennett's wife.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

These two, they were twins. Those two girls are twins.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And they're originally from Panama, and then we're in Austin. Anyways, one of them lives, they both moved to Australia. One of them moved back to the States, married our fiddle player Bennett. They were both best friends with my wife in college. And so, anyways, when they all get together, dude, these girls are wild. Yeah, when they get back together, it's on, dude. Especially over there in Australia. Like, they all three got to be together, you know. It was crazy.

SPEAKER_02

The girls went crazy. So we wanted to chat with you about your tour with Wade Forrester. He's an odd icon. Yeah, well, he's an odd-Igon. He's he's rising up so quickly, and we are such big fans of him down here. I know that he played in Nashville with you at the Ryman.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that show looked so emotional. Oh, how was it?

SPEAKER_00

It was awesome because we had just been, yeah, you know, we got to tour together for a good amount of shows this spring and get to know each other, and uh, we just hit it off. I mean, he's a scrapper too, you know. It's like, I mean, oh yeah. Yeah, I mean, he's a fun guy, he's a great dude. Okay, and uh, anyways, yeah, we hit it off, and so you know, getting to have him at the rhyming, it's such a special show for us. I mean, any band. When you play the rhyming, it's just special, you know. And so it was cool. I mean, we just we had a blast.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so we asked him for a bit of tea on you. He didn't come through. He didn't he didn't actually come through.

SPEAKER_00

Did he narc on me?

SPEAKER_02

He didn't give he didn't come through with any goods at all.

SPEAKER_00

This is your opportunity, Shaq. No, I'm not, I told you earlier. I was like, I got nothing on him, dude. Oh, come on. He's a sweet boy.

SPEAKER_01

Tell us a funny story. He's not really a good word I'd use. He's scrappy.

SPEAKER_00

I'll say this. He in his rugby days, I'm pretty sure, almost got killed in Russia after a game where they beat these guys, and there was like some security guards around or something. He was telling me this story, and it's a gnarly story. You can ask him in person, but I would say maybe that. Like there's like a little bit of inside, like okay. I know he played in Russia, so he he has a big uh a big rugby uh life to talk about, you know, if you ever want to get deep in an interview with him.

SPEAKER_02

We've had like three podcasts with him so far. And we always know more to talk about. How could you come up?

SPEAKER_00

You guys are all over there, you know? Like in y'all are Sydney though? Yes. Okay, so you're not out in the middle of nowhere that he is, like, always going to like all the festivals that. Their ranch is like, you gotta like helicopter into their ranch.

SPEAKER_01

We asked him one time, we were like, can we go to your ranch? He's like, I don't think it's for you girls. I don't know if you'd be able to handle it. No, he was like, You wouldn't be able to handle the heat. He literally said that. Oh, he doesn't know me. He doesn't know me.

SPEAKER_00

You gotta just follow up with him on it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, no doubt we will. Okay, we're gonna do a little bit of rapid fire change.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, great.

SPEAKER_02

It's quick questions. It's quick questions. Okay, what was the first concert you ever went to?

SPEAKER_00

My mom's cousin, the Christian Christian band, Phillips, Craig, and Dean. I was probably two or something. Okay. Three.

SPEAKER_02

Starting young.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What would be a dream collab, like in the future?

SPEAKER_00

One artist or multiple artists?

SPEAKER_01

Either. Um whatever comes to mind.

SPEAKER_00

I want to play. I talked to Turnpike's management, um, Whiskey Myers management, and um I would love to get like us, Whiskey, Turnpike, and Ryan Bingham to do a show at the gorge.

SPEAKER_01

Where is that? Have you seen the gorge?

SPEAKER_00

No. Isn't it what is it outside of Seattle or is it like I thought it was Washington State. Um, it's like have you seen Red Rocks? Have you heard of Red Rocks? Yeah, yeah. Okay, so it's like it's it's like a massive natural amphitheater that just falls off into a gorge canyon behind it. And so it's this like epic view of essentially what looks like the Grand Canyon there behind the stage. Wait, is this where Google images are? Cool. But it holds like, I don't know, like 30,000 people or something, like 40,000. That's so cool. Yeah. How many people does that hold? 40?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's gotta be like 40k. So cool. But I want to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that would be a show.

SPEAKER_00

That would be like my I that would be very cool.

SPEAKER_02

Worty shed. Oh, that's water shedy shed. No way, I didn't know it was there. We looked at um another one called Um, it's in Montana, uh, Under the Big Sky.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That one was so cool.

SPEAKER_00

That's Johnny Shockey's deal. Johnny Shockey's ranch.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he's a he has that ranch. And it's in Texas. No, it's in Montana. No, no, Montana. There's another person with a ranch in Texas.

SPEAKER_00

It's outside of Whitefish, Montana.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes. We haven't been to Montana and we really want to go.

SPEAKER_00

That festival. You need to just do that. Do like a press thing out there.

SPEAKER_02

How's your survival skills? Right-off. A tax write-off.

SPEAKER_00

Girls' trip. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The ladies' trip. Okay, are you um how's your survival skills?

SPEAKER_00

I feel like pretty good. I don't need a lot, I don't think, to my wife always says that. She's like, you could just be like in a cabin with squirrels and you'd be happy as can be. I was like, yeah, probably, probably dead ass accurate.

SPEAKER_02

Dead ass. No one's yeah. Um, who, if you had to pick one artist anyone in the world, to take with you, if we dropped you in the Australian Outback to help you survive.

SPEAKER_00

100%, wait. Wait, yeah. Come on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, okay. That's a yeah, that was a good choice.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like we would have a blast in the nowhere. Definitely Australia together.

SPEAKER_02

If you had to go on a reality TV show, what are you gonna go on?

SPEAKER_00

Like Survivor.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I was gonna say alone, survivor. Yeah. Honestly, the amazing race.

SPEAKER_00

It would be uh no, it would be, isn't it alone? The new one. It's like Survivor, but it's like not as cheesy as Survivor.

SPEAKER_02

And you get to take ten items with you.

SPEAKER_00

It's all it's ten?

SPEAKER_02

It's ten items. Yeah, so you can bring it. I swear it was ten.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, if it's ten, like you want me to pick ten or two.

SPEAKER_02

Like a little swizzle stick. If you do you have some? Like have you?

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_02

I would do that.

SPEAKER_00

I would do uh a hundred yards of like, I don't know, like 200 pound Tess lined fishing wire. Okay, um, I would do You're gonna go fishing? Uh 100%. Okay, okay. Yeah. No, but that would be for tying up everything. Just survival. All kinds of things.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, done.

SPEAKER_00

Um tarp. Like a big tarp.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Uh flint uh for fire. Um I would probably have uh a hatchet. Um what's a hatchet? Like a small axe. Okay, okay, yep, gotcha. Um tomahawk looking thing.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um and then what am I at? I'm only like four down, and I am surviving obviously. So, dude, I don't even fishing hooks, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

Um you're really into your outdoors.

SPEAKER_00

Huh?

SPEAKER_02

Are you into your like outdoors yesterday? Yeah, I love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I love getting to do anything, anything outside. Um, it's just a matter of like finding time off of the road to, you know, like go on a hunt or whatever. I normally only get to go on a hunt like once a year, twice a year or something like that. Yeah. You know, a lot of our buddies, that's like all they do all during deer season, every weekend. You know, they're at a ranch somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

So where do you normally write your songs?

SPEAKER_00

Um, we have a space downstairs uh below our house. I have like a little office down there. Uh I would say there, but honestly, more than anywhere is on planes.

SPEAKER_03

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, totally. Because think about it, you just like throw on your AirPods, do like the mute button. Yeah, I was gonna say. And it's just like dead quiet, and you're like in your zone with your little desk folded out, like I got my window open looking at the world.

SPEAKER_01

Like inspired.

SPEAKER_00

Unstoppable writing potential on a plane. Wow. With a window seat, only with a window seat.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You've been on a lot of tours. Do you have a dream country that you have or like city that you haven't been to yet that you'd love to play? Um, because you said like Malaysia, you've been to Australia, you've already tipped off a lot of places.

SPEAKER_00

I would love to play Hawaii.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, on the beach too? That would be cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, sounds great. Uh yeah, maybe like Maui or like North Shore Hawaii, uh, Oahu. Big vibes. That'd be cool.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I have another, it's a dating question.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Polly and I are both single.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What's your best piece of dating advice? You're in a happy relationship, Shane.

SPEAKER_00

I will s I don't know. It depends on what your intentions are. Like if you're trying to date somebody, if you're trying to date somebody and like you're really trying to find like somebody, you're not trying to waste your time. It's like, no, dude. I'm trying to find like my person. I would say um, I don't know. Like, you would have to, you gotta visualize it, you know. Like, is that do I see this person like as the mother of my kids? Or do I see this person as the father of my kids? Do I see this person fixing a busted pipe 20 years from now under the house? I'm serious, visualize it. I think it, you know, I'm the wrong person to ask though, because me and my wife have been together since we were children. Literally, we were kids, yeah. 15 and 14 years old. Whoa. It's so like that's a crazy thing. I'm the last one to say this, but I will say, like, I do think. think if you're trying to like just cut the fat like get straight to it you know don't waste time like I think like you gotta visualize it you gotta see it you know and if you can't see it like probably can't see it you know it's like probably not gonna be it great now in Australia did you uh practice any Australian slang how's your Australian slang oh I feel like you have a couple words what did Wade teach you dude how I'm I immediately went to the Shang Gillis y'all know Shang Gillis the uh comedi comedian no should I he was talking about he was in Australia on tour and he wore like a bucket hat like a yeah kind of stepping out like you know he never really wore hats like that and he was like you know I was feeling myself up I wanted to wear it he was like I thought I looked good and I'm walking around the street and this gothic guy outside of Brisbane turns around and looks at me and says noise hat fatso I was like that's the funniest like Aussie accent like ever like saying I've ever heard noise hat fetzo jump at it and I and he then he goes on that like I didn't know I didn't know that Australians had gothic people you know like with the dark makeup and black hair full emotion I didn't even know he was like all day I think about death I was like that is the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life so anyways that would be my that's like the only I feel like Aussie thing just because I've watched that bit and we just die laughing on the bus when we watch it but that's so funny.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways now you're talking about you being in the studio writing a new album what can people expect for this new album?

SPEAKER_00

Um it's I think it's gonna be amazing honestly like um it's such a cool that we recorded 15 songs and I don't know if all 15 will be on there. It'll probably be like 10 and then maybe more of them will come out on a bigger version or something.

SPEAKER_01

But how do you pick sorry to interrupt but how do you pick how many songs to go on an album?

SPEAKER_00

Dude it's changed a lot because it's like everyone's attention span is like way shorter than it was 10 years ago.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah because of TikTok you guys can't with TikTok we're trying with the long form content here.

SPEAKER_00

I can't with TikTok but you're a TikTok I appreciate this because this is long form you're a TikTok guy now. Yeah that's you're doing it. I have a CMA backdrop and everything. No I think um we're about to go viral I think that nowadays it's almost like I think you're better off doing like 10 songs on an album and maybe release them a couple songs at a time just so that everyone has a chance we're all being thrown stuff yeah at us like 247 you can't like my favorite band might release a record and I have no clue because I've been bombarded with like 500 other things that week. You know what I mean? Like whereas if you drop a couple songs at a time and it's all leading up to this album at least you're giving them a better chance at even knowing about it.

SPEAKER_01

Because I do think it can be overwhelming as well when you see like a whole album I'm like that's a lot of time to just like listen to it.

SPEAKER_00

But then there's long form podcasts so how does that make sense? Because I love long form podcasts but I'm also like this is a con this is a total conundrum because I don't even take the time to listen through a whole record I catch myself doing this where I'm like listening to a couple songs and then switch it out forget about it. Yeah yeah that's a problem like it used to be like you listen to the whole record you know but um I don't know I think nowadays it's almost like do something like 10 songs release a couple of them at a time and um and just hope that you know everybody finds their songs that they like or takes the time to even listen through it to find their their songs you know I mean even some of our biggest fans will play a song and it's like that I had no idea y'all had that song out there. Like I've never seen that I've never heard that song. So anyways it happens to the biggest fans you know so going back what can people expect for the new album? I think it is very much um we are a hodgepodge of sound. Like our our music is very we might have a very country song and then we'll have a song like Hail Mary that is like rock with strings and fiddle and like very heavy dark minor song and um so there's a lot of sounds going on there. And I think this album will be like the most well rounded of covering all those checking all those boxes in terms of like what makes up our live show. You know and so um it's cool. I think it's gonna be really cool. I haven't even gotten to listen to any mixes or anything yet but just hearing what I heard while we were in there working on them we're all very excited.

So because live performances is such a big thing when you are recording these are you already thinking of like what the live performance could be and how it's 100% that's how that's a lot of why I write certain songs.

It's because I'm like in the show I want us to be able to do this. I think you'd be really good like it would be so epic if and then like okay let's write that song you know that's really cool. I think it's cool doing it that way but anyways that's awesome there's definitely some of those that are gonna get checked off on this album for the show.
