Season 5 Episode 2 - Sharon Jackson Founder of SHIELD Derby
Founder of SHIELD Derby | Safeguarding & Child Protection Specialist | Lived Experience | Trainer | Consultant | Public Speaker | Independent Supervisor | Independent Practice Educator | ASYE Assessor | Guest Lecturer.
I was completely blown away by this episode with Sharon. She is the founder and owner of SHIELD Derby, she is also a Safeguarding and Child Protection Training, Consultancy, and additional service's provider. If that isn't enough, she is also a qualified registered Independent Social Worker with a BA (Hons/DipSW) in Applied Social Work, an Advanced Trained Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA), Youth Justice Specialist, Trainer, Public/Keynote Speaker, Independent Supervisor, Independent Practice Educator, ASYE Assessor, and a Youth Mental Health first Aider.
WARNING: I have to warn viewers and listeners that they may find some content distressful. As part of our conversation, Sharon shares some information of her lived experience of child sexual abuse, and domestic violence and abuse. She is not ashamed to talk about it and I applaud her wholeheartedly for her determination in making a difference to so many.
