Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Socially Stirred. I know it's been a little bit. My bad. I feel bad about that. But I was busy. I have I have I have lots of stuff going on. Um no, I just half half I've been really busy, half I got kind of lazy. So I can't lie. I, you know, you just sometimes you have to just be in the right space. You have to have the time. I don't have a designated podcasting area yet. And so when my household's busy, it's hard to focus on what I need to do. And so, um, so I just gotta do it when I can. So I know I missed a month. I feel bad about that, but I, you know, it is what it is. So I'm here now, and that just means I have lots to chat about. So where do we start? Um, let's see, what have what happened in at the end of March and April? So um, okay, closed my salon. So that was April 3rd. That was my last like official day of that. Um, and it was good, you know, it was an easy move out and got that all cleaned up. Robert was a little concerned. He's like, I can't believe you're not crying and you're not sad, you know, you're not that sad about it. And I'm like, well, you know, I that just I'm ready, you know. And he's like, You've just you worked so hard to have that place and you were there for so long. And I'm like, yeah, and it was great, and I'm thankful and it was awesome and I loved it, but you know, I I didn't feel any sadness because I know this is the right move for me. Like I had had absolutely no hesitation. And so far I've been at the new place for a month and it's been wonderful. I I just I've been so happy and it's been really nice to be around, you know, other stylists again and other clients. And it's like I said, it just I'm I've been very happy. Shacy's clients have been so warm and welcoming. And, you know, most of them I still she still does from when I was her assistant. And so they're like, oh, it's nice to see you back again. And um, so that has been really great because they've just been so nice. And um I feel like I haven't seen a lot of these people in a long time because I was by myself for so long. So it's been it's been really good. The space is really cozy, it's very relaxing. Um I've just I I'm just so happy. And you know, I not that I was unhappy at the other place, but being alone for so long, like I I don't even know how to explain it. Like I love I am a social person. I I love people. Obviously, I like talking because, well, I'm doing this. Um, but being by myself for a long time, I needed that because I I think I just got, you know, I was over the hustle and bustle, and I was over being around a lot of people all the time. And so having my own space was great. My clients really liked it. It was just a nice reset. And then, you know, I think in the last few years, I was like, I'm missing something, but I didn't know what. And, you know, I went through a lot, like I've mentioned before, you know, new friendships, lost some good friendships, got lost some bad friendships. And so turning 40, just, you know, all the memes and all the things about what happens in your 40s, they're all true. Every single one of them. All the good, all the bad, all the in-between, all the craziness. I I definitely was feeling that like a hundred percent, like personally, socially, mentally, physically, all of it. It's all true. Whatever you read about turning, you know, 40 and all that, it's literally true. Or everything that I've been reading is true. So I think dealing with all of that and kind of, I guess, being lonely at work, you know, yes, I have my clients and I love them. I love all of them dearly. They have been with me forever. And so, but I was like, I think I need more. And so, but I just didn't know, you know, because you're just confused because you just you just don't know when you don't know. And so moving to this new space and being around other people again has been so wonderful for me. I just I feel better, I just feel a little more connected with people, and I'm just so happy. And the space is great, the location is amazing. I have seen, I've already seen a car chase. That's awesome because you know me. I love I love being in the know and I love being nosy. And so that's been great. We have a space that we can sit outside. Um I just, I don't know. I just, I'm so happy and I hope that my clients are happy. And so far, they love the space. Um, you know, nothing has really changed. I'm still there. I'm I'm still work kind of alone. You know, Shacy has her room in the back, I have the space up front, and then there's girls next door. And so it's just really nice because like we're all back together again, but separately. And so I really love that. And so um, that's been one of the major things that's been happening since I've been MIA. Um, what else has been happening? Oh my gosh, it's the end of the school year, you guys. I think there's what, four and a half weeks, three and a half weeks left of school or something crazy like that. I I'm excited because I love the summertime. I love the slowness of the mornings, which, you know, I still go to work early, so it's not really slow. But um I just I love the summertime. I love that it's warmer because I'm a warm weather girl. I like that there's, you know, pool parties and barbecues and going and doing things. And so I'm really excited about that. But I'm also really sad because that just means um it's my son's senior year, and I will probably be a blubbering mess. So don't be alarmed if in my future episodes, if when I start talking about that, that I cry, you know. Um, I'm gonna try not to because I don't want to be one of those people that cries on camera or cries on, you know, cries on a podcast, but it'll probably happen. I I can't help it because it's gonna be very, really emotional for me. And he's gonna be 18 in December, and just all these things are happening, which are great, and I'm so happy, but I'm also really sad because, you know, I only have one baby and he's gonna be 18 and he's not a baby. He's a man child and he towers over me and I just don't know what to do. So, um, you know, and lots of people are going through all that. One of my really good friends, her daughter is graduating, and it's just, it's just a lot. It's it's happened so fast, you know. I had clients through the years, you know, they're always like, oh, what grades he in? And you know, I tell them they're like, oh man, you know, it's gonna go quick. And to me, I'm always like, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. They are not lying, and it's just crazy how fast time is going. I I just it's just a lot. So, you know, that's been happening, and what else has been happening, you guys? Um, oh, we have to talk about some of these shows. Okay. So Beverly Hills is on their second reunion, the second uh second episode of the reunion. So I haven't watched that yet. Um, but Dorite is insane. I, if you guys are caught up, I've only I've seen, what did I watch? I watched the last episode and I watched the first um reunion. And wow. Mm-hmm. Wow. It's a lot. Dorite is a lot. She is going after Kyle, and I am just like, I know she's going through it right now. She's divorcing PK. I know that there's obviously things that we don't see and we don't hear, but I don't know if she's deflecting because shit's going south with her. You know, the her house is in foreclosure and all that stuff. And, you know, Kyle was kind of harassing her for shopping, which I'm like, it's not your problem, Kyle. Who cares if she spent five grand at the store in the Hamptons? Oh well, I probably would too. So who cares? You know, just things like that. And, you know, Dorit kind of really went after Erica, and I you could tell it really hurt Erica's feelings. So I feel really bad about that. Um, who else? Oh, so Amanda. So I, you know, I kind of was going a little hard on Amanda because I'm just like, what is this chick? Like the money girl, like what's going on? So I was talking with uh my friend Sharon and I said, I think I'm gonna buy one of her courses. Like they're like 20 bucks or something like that. I'm all, I want to buy one and I wanna see because I can't, I can't talk smack without knowing. So I'm gonna kind of dabble in that a little bit and see. So I'll keep you guys updated on that because I'm just curious, like what's what's the hype? Like, how does she make how does she make millions telling people to manifest money? So um I'm gonna kind of, you know, look into that and see. But right now, there's been some articles out where people are kind of like, she's full shit. You know, I've spent this one girl, I was reading an article, and she basically was like, I saw her stuff and I was having a rough time. So I was like, yeah, let's do this. And she's like in debt, like $10,000 from all these stuff from all her courses. So I'm like, ooh, so I kind of want to know, like, how do you, how does that happen? I'm just curious, how does that happen? So I'm gonna, I'm gonna look into it and see what what she offers. And I might buy a couple of them and and see what happens. You know, maybe I'll manifest myself to be a millionaire. That would be rad, but we'll see how realistic that is. So um, so that's a good one if you guys are caught up because I am just curious to see what happens. I'm curious to see if Kyle comes back next season because everyone is ripping her apart online. Um, people say she's boring, which she kind of is. I I think sh I think reality has set in that Mo doesn't want her back. And, you know, there was speculation online. There was some on TikTok, I a girl was in Nashville and she was at some cafe and she was like, I just saw Kyle Richards go into a cafe, and 10 minutes later, here comes Morgan Wade. So, you know, and Kyle bought a house in Tennessee. So I we'll see what happens. But I also seen online that Morgan Wade is doing a podcast. So that's gonna be interesting because I thought she broke up with Kyle because she didn't want to be in the spotlight, but you're a singer, so I don't know. There's some shade, there's some shady stuff I think going on. Um, so we'll we'll see about that. Um and this is my newest obsession, you guys. The Rhode Island Housewives. It is TV gold. I love every single one of them. They're amazing. They but you know, I always love a first season housewife because they they don't know the editing. Their confessionals are amazing because they are just talking shit and saying whatever they want, and it is I'm here for it. I love it. I hope these ladies they seem to be pretty honest, and I love them all. Liz is my favorite. I love her so much so far, but honestly, I love them all. So um their husbands are great. I it's just so I think there's five episodes. I think so. I think I'm all caught up. Um but if you guys haven't started that one, start it. It's awesome. The tans are tanning, the jewels are jeweling, the houses are housing. They it's it's amazing. Um I love it. So I won't give too much away because I want you guys to watch it and let me know what you think because so so good. So good. Um, what else have we done? Um, oh, what else have we watched? What was it? Oh, the Hulk Hogan documentary on Netflix. Okay. So I love Hulk Hogan. I love him, you know, he's so funny, but I love him because I started knowing who he was. Obviously, I knew he was a wrestler, but when they had their reality show, Hogan Knows Best on VH1. So great. I had I had I downloaded Brooke Brooke Hogan's, you know, single. I loved Linda. I loved all of them. So that's how I knew them, just from that, because you know, love reality TV. So we watched this documentary. Well, I didn't know that Hulk Hogan was like the wrestler. I didn't know, like he kind of basically put it on the map. That's kind of how I took it from watching it. I didn't know that. I just thought he was just some wrestler dude, and then he got a reality show, and that's how he got famous. Dumb me because I we're we weren't a wrestling family. So I didn't know all of that stuff. But what a story. It's so good. I just it's good, and there's some sad parts, you know, because him and his his him and his wife Linda, you know, they divorced and stuff, and they had been together for a really long time and they had lots of ups, lots of downs, you know, and kids and everything. And so um it was it was cool to see the whole story because I had no idea. Uh no idea. I didn't know anything about the wrestling community. Um, kind of sad I didn't because it looked fun. Like they, those people just were, they were wild and they were popular and they just it just seemed really, really fun. So that was a good doc to watch. So if you guys need, you know, some Sunday lounge shows, that is a good one to watch. Um, what else? Oh my gosh. Okay. Um that there's a show on Netflix called Beef. And so there's two seasons, and uh, it's kind of like the White Lotus, where every season has different characters and different storylines. So the first season was insane. It was crazy. I don't even remember when it came out. It's been a few years, I think. And so I was clicking through the other day and I saw it said season two, and I was like, oh, season two. Okay, let's check it out. Uh it's crazy. I'm pretty sure it it's wild. You guys need to check it out. There's, I think, eight episodes. We binged it all in one day because it was just that good, and you just can't stop watching it. And so um, that is in another good show to watch if you guys need something to see. Um, and what else has been going on? So um, oh, so keeping with my New Year's resolutions, one of them that I've actually kept up. So remember when I said that I was gonna do my makeup every single day for work because I was tired of looking like a slob kebab. So I have stayed true to that. I have done my makeup every single day. Yay me, because there have been days where I'm just like, who cares? And I'm like, bitch, you care. You have to care. So I've been doing my makeup every day, which has been great too, because I'm going through some makeup and trying to use up, because I have like three or four different foundations, you know, just trying different things. And so I'm like trying to use all that up because I do want new foundation. I want to try, even though I really love the Fenty foundation, it's really, really good and I love the way it looks on my face. But House Labs, um, my bestie Sharon, she uses it and she was like, you have to try it. You would love it. And so I'm trying to use up all I got. I think what am I using right now? I have the NARS Tinted Moisturizer, which I probably use that almost every day because it's really light, but I also have another NARS, like more of a heavier foundation. So I'm trying to get through that. And what other? I have the Fenty. So I have a few different ones. So I'm trying to get through all of it because I don't want to be wasteful and I want new stuff, but I just can't bring myself to buy more when I have plenty. So, but I did buy some new blush because you can always use blush. I like to rotate the colors I use because different seasons. And so me and Sharon went shopping and she bought the House Labs um watermelon bliss blush from House Labs. You guys, it is so pretty. It's super bright, and it looks fantastic. So I did get a new blush because, well, that's kind of like accessories. Blush, contour, eyeshadow, those are accessories. Like you always have to have new accessories, but foundation, you know, you gotta use those up. So that's how I'm gonna justify it anyway. Um, and I finally, I don't know why I waited so long for this, but I just um just because I never really cared that much about like contouring and using that kind of stuff. And so I'm trying to get better because I'm a 10-minute girl. I don't like to spend that much time because I just I don't, I usually don't honestly, I usually don't have that much time in the morning because I have gotten pretty lazy lately. I lay in bed till the last minute and I'm rolling out of bed and I just like to do a 10-minute job on my face because I just don't want to spend that much time. But I make it look good, so don't judge me. But my point is I finally got the what is it, the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood contour wand. You guys, I didn't know how fantastic this stuff is. It's amazing. I'm so happy. So I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, you know, not have that anymore because it's great. So that was a good buy. Um, what else? So, you know, let's oh, let's go into skincare. So been still doing my skincare, still loving the bioma. It's great. I use the Biodance as well, which they sent me a huge box full of stuff. Tons of face masks, eye patches, gel pads. I like I'm so excited. So, me and my girlfriends this weekend, we're gonna have a spa day and we're gonna use some stuff. So that's been good. I've been using that. What else? Oh, I did win one of their challenges. You have to post like some videos using their stuff, and you have to get so many views and so many posts and things like that. So I've been trying to do that because who doesn't love free skincare? I'll do a couple posts to get some free skincare. Heck yes, you guys. Um, so that's been good. And what else? So, oh my gosh. Okay, so this weekend, I don't know if you guys have seen online, I think it's been the last couple years. So there's this thing called a nine, nine, and nine challenge. And what it is is nine hot dogs, nine 12-ounce beers in nine innings. Who would do that? Right? Who who would do that? Well, our husbands do that. They they started it last year, and my friend's husband won. These poor guys, they were miserable. And so we were like, you guys are insane. I don't even know. I think only half of them finished. I think there was like six of them, seven of them maybe, and only like three or four of them actually completed the challenge, which I don't even know how, because you know baseball games. Sometimes you have really long innings, which that that would be great. And then sometimes you have a three up, three down. So you have to finish the hot dog completely and the beer completely each inning. Sounds crazy, right? Yeah, who would do that again, right? Well, they are tomorrow. Well, I don't know when this podcast is coming out. Hopefully it'll be out by today. But if not, they're gonna do it on Saturday, May 2nd. So um, that will be something for me to check in to check back in with you guys because I'm gonna try to get some video footage of it. They're just insane. I I could probably no, I could probably not do that. So my friends, like, I got the trash cans ready, I got the water hose ready. It's gonna be a good time. So that is something that they're doing tomorrow. And it's gonna be funny. Who's gonna I think who's gonna win the championship? Because they're they do have a trophy, and um it's really funny. So I will try to get some footage of that because it's like I said, it's really funny. They're miserable at the end of it, so I don't know why you'd want to do it again, but they are, and so that that is what we're doing this weekend. Um, what else are we doing? Um, oh, it's the Kentucky Derby, so that'll be fun. Um, kind of wish I could go to the Kentucky Derby, but it's like thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars. Um and yeah, probably can't probably can't do that. Not yet. Hopefully, maybe one day. Maybe somebody will pay for me to go there. That'd be that would be great. Um so that'll be fun. I don't even know any horses racing. I usually I don't I don't keep up on that. Robert does, but I don't. So what else, you guys? Um just want to say again how grateful and thankful I am for all of you guys. I have what is it? I think 27 different countries now. 27, I think is what it is. Let me see. Let me look it up real quick. Sorry, I have to Venmo my kid money for lunch, which I have to do every single day because you know that's what you do when you have kids. You Venmo them money all the time. Um, let me see. Yes, 27 different countries, 158 different cities. Wow. I just it's so crazy. Like I love that. I I love that people are listening. I love that people find me entertaining. Um, you know, because it is fun. I I really do enjoy this when I have the time to do this. So, you know, thank you all for being here. And it's been wonderful. I do have some, I do have some co-hosts coming in. I have, I'm not gonna tell you who yet, but in a couple weeks, I do have I have a podcast episode scheduled, and that's gonna be a fun one. So I hope you guys tune into that. And what else, you guys? Um, hmm, hmm. Well, I guess that's gonna be a wrap for today. So I thought I had more to talk about, but I guess I need to get my thoughts together a little better. So um, thank you all for being here. Thanks for the support. I really, really appreciate it. I will never not be grateful, you guys. It's been it's been so fun, and I really, really enjoy this. And it's gonna be a year in July already. Um, that's gonna be great. I have some stuff planned for that. So, you know, I hope everybody has a great rest of your day. I hope, you know, this year so far it's been great. Uh like I said, the beginning of the year, I think the vibes are great. So far, you know, here we are. It's been great. So again, thank you all for the support. I'm on Apple, I'm on Spotify, I'm on all the major sites for podcasting. And again, download, share, like, give me feedback. I am here to talk about what you guys want to talk about. I I'll be here all day. I'll talk all the time. So thank you guys all again. And remember, tell your friends, tell your family, and most importantly, just have fun. And I am so thankful for all of you. And you know, let's just keep getting stirred.
