Welcome back to another episode of Socially Stirred. I'm Cheryl, and here we are. It is almost the end of June, you guys. Fourth of July is coming. Like peak summer season is coming. It is such a good time. I but I love summertime. So I know it's you know not always a popular time of the year, but I live for the sun. I am outside every day. I've been sitting out on our back patio every night. I just I really enjoy being outside and I really enjoy the heat. And so I am really, really excited for summer. Some of you have been going on some amazing vacations. I've been seeing all over social media. I've had a few of my clients and friends and uh people that I follow, they've been in Europe. Hi, so jealous. Um, I love seeing everybody's pictures. So keep posting. It's so much fun. I, if I can't be on vacation, I want other people to be on vacation. So please keep posting and you know, share all your experiences because I love it. I love knowing about other places. I love seeing where people like to go. I enjoy all of that. So hopefully everyone's getting a little fun in this summer. I certainly am. Um, this coming up, I am going on a little girls' trip to the beach and gonna have a beach day with a cute little setup. Um, I was following on Instagram. Um, it's called Slow Perfect Beach Days, and they do the setup for you. So they have a few different packages you can choose from. But the package we got is I think an umbrella, two chairs, two towels, an ice chest, a little table, sunscreen, like the whole bit. And you just show up, it's all set up for you. When you're done, you text them and be like, you know, we're done for the day, and then they come and clean it up. Uh, can't beat that. So I'm really excited for that. Gonna go to a concert in Avala and then have a fun night stay in a hotel, and then the next day, gonna go shopping and lunch and just all the girl, all the fun, girly things that, you know, it's super fun to do on a girls' trip. So I can't wait for that. Um, I love girls' trips. I I love any kind of trip, honestly. If someone invites me, I'm there. But you know, girls' trips, I just love it's just a nice, just relaxing, you know, you don't have to make too many decisions. You get to just laugh and talk about all the things that your husbands don't want to that don't they don't care about, that they don't want to hear about. So I just I really enjoy it. I cannot wait. Um, I'm really excited for that. And then Fourth of July is coming up, and that's gonna be so fun. Our town is getting really patriotic this year, and I really, really love it. It's so cute. So everybody is, you know, decorating their businesses, decorating their houses. There's gonna be a patriotic parade the morning of 4th of July, which is gonna be so fun. So I got a bunch of stuff to decorate. Um, our golf cart, our my friends, they signed us all up, so we're gonna be a big group in the parade. So we're all gonna decorate our golf carts and you know, just get out in the morning and have so much fun. And the weather's supposed to be really nice. It's gonna be like 80, like between 85 and 90 that day, which is perfect. Um, because where we live, it usually, I think there's been some 4th of July's where it's been like 105, which again, I don't necessarily mind, but you know, not everybody loves the sun as much as I do. So it'll be it'll be a nice, a nice, nice time. So I'm excited for that. We're gonna go to some friends for a barbecue and swimming and food and just fun. And so that, you know, have those fun things coming up. Um, what else? So I watched that crazy show on Netflix, maternal instinct. Okay, I don't understand. I this this crazy girl, because I'm gonna call her crazy girl, um, Taylor, like tried to befriend all these people in this little small town. And she basically does, except there are a few that are just like, I see right through you. And so she kind of dupes this dude into saying that she's pregnant and you know, she's gonna, she wants to buy this like multi-million dollar ranch, and her mom is keeping her inheritance from her, and all this crazy stuff that when you listen to it, it sounds unbelievable. But then you you watch, and these people are like, Yeah, well, I just thought so. I don't, I don't know. The opening scene is crazy. If you guys haven't seen it, you need to watch it. It's a little, it's really sad too. Um, she just she's just not a nice person. And so um, that was a crazy, crazy show. I don't want to give too much away because um if you haven't seen it, you need to watch it. It's it's crazy. She's the well, I don't even I don't I won't even tell you the rest of it, but watch that. It's really good. I think it's it's only one episode, it's like an hour and a half, hour and 40 minutes, so it's not too bad. So you can, you know, watch it in an afternoon. Um, another show that I recently discovered, which I think it's from like 2025, is Black Rabbit. Um, Jason Bateman's in it, Jude Law's in it. It's really good. I'm like, why didn't I see this sooner? So I've been trying to, you know, every night watch a couple episodes. Um, it's really good. And it's based off a true story for of some restaurateurs in New York. And so it's kind of crazy the, you know, the underworld of chefs and restaurants and things like that. It's kind of crazy, which I guess it's kind of like that show The Bear, which I actually just turned on last night for the first time. I know I'm so behind, but I get caught up in my reality TV show watching and my comfort shows. And so sometimes I miss really good shows that everybody has seen. So I finally turned on the bear. It's really good. So I am excited to have something new like that to watch. So, which like I said, I know that's kind of old because it won, I think it won some Grammys, no, Grammys is music, Oscars. I think it won. It won something. Golden Globes. I don't know. Um, but I know it won some awards and now I can see why because it's really good. So if you guys haven't checked that one out yet, um check it out. It's re it's pretty good. I really, really like it so far. So um, and another one we have to talk about is Rhode Island Housewives. Okay, so the season's over. It was amazing, absolutely loved it. I want to go to Rhode Island, I want to go to Pizzama. I want to go and see all the sites. I just I love those girls. They're so they're great. Um, the reunion did not disappoint. It is wild. And I don't know if you guys follow Dave Portnoy. He even was talking about it on his TikTok. He was like, you guys are missing out if you're not watching Rhode Island Housewife. So there you go. If you base anything off of him, you may you probably should watch it. So um, but yeah, that's a good one. I think there's gonna be, I don't know if there's gonna be two or two or three more reunion episodes. I know the next one, the husbands are coming on, and I cannot wait for that because we all love when the husbands get on there because they they kind of keep the women in check a little bit because some you know how women are like, I just don't want my husband to know all the drama. Well, these guys are in the drama as well. So I'm excited to see that because um Rula's husband, he's got a lot, he's got a lot to answer to, answer for. Um, by the end of the show, he had been arrested for basically putting a tracker on his wife's car. So it's you guys have to watch it. It's insane. Um, what else? Oh, let's do a skincare update. Okay, so remember in January when I decided to get Daxify instead of Disport? Well, my six months of that just ended. I just went back a couple weeks ago and I did not get Daxify again. Um, it just had a little more movement than I wanted. Um, honestly, I didn't hate it. I think it worked really well in the beginning, but um Lily was asking me, like, you know, what did you think about it? This and that. And I was just like, well, you know, I kind of have a little more movement than I want. And so she was looking at me, she's like, oh yeah, you kind of do, you know, for you. And I said, yeah. Um, and she's like, Well, have you lost any weight? She's like, You look really good. And I was like, Yeah, I have, you know, um, which I'm down, I think like 45 pounds. Thank you, Zet bound. Um, absolutely love it. Uh, that's another story, but yes, zip bound, 45 pounds down, absolutely amazing. I feel great, I love it. Um, she was telling me, she's like, Oh, she's like, weight loss, you know, that can affect it because you lose some of those fatty deposits, you know, obviously everywhere. And I was like, oh, I said I didn't realize that. She's like, yeah. So she's like, that could probably be a reason why. And I said, okay. I said, well, I said, I kind of, I feel like I kind of want to try it again just to give it a full year of, you know, seeing how it goes. But I'm a little too vain for that. So I went back to Disport and I am back. I got no lines, I got no movement, I am very happy. So, um, but I don't discourage anybody from wanting to try it. I think it's good every now and then to try something different just to see because it could be better. I think maybe if I hadn't lost any weight or I had maybe hadn't been getting disport as long as I have, it probably Daxify might have worked a little better, but I don't know. But I have, I feel like I have some pretty deep creases in my forehead and a lot of movement because I I am very animated when I talk, and so I don't think that helps either. So I do think it's a great product. So don't don't not try it because I went back to Discord. If you're thinking about it, I think you should. You can always go back because already my forehead's perfect. So um, anyway, also there is some new like sunscreen stuff coming out. I guess there's a new ingredient, B-E-M-T. I guess it's also known as Parasol Shield. So that is going to be able to be put into the sunscreen that's manufactured in the US, I think. And so it's, I guess it's more broad spectrum, it's more stable in the sunlight, so it works better, and it has a lower skin absorption, so it does last longer. So I'm excited about that because I've been dabbling with some different kinds of sunscreen lately. I have found that I really love a mineral sunscreen now. I think it is really good on my face. I don't, I don't feel like it's greasy. I don't, it doesn't break me out. I don't, I love it. So I've been trying that. I got one in my Allure Beauty Box, which by the way, I'm going to reinstate because I love it and I miss it. But every now and then I'll cancel it just because you just get so much. But if you guys do get a beauty subscription, I would highly, highly, highly recommend the Allure Beauty Box one because you get really good products, you get full-size things, you don't get a ton of makeup palettes, which I know some of the other ones they kind of overload you with those, but this one is more like skincare, hair care. I really like it. So my point is, I had gotten quite a few different sunscreens in those boxes, so I'm starting to like try some of those out. I I'll have to look and see what the brand is of the one I used the other day, but my favorite right now is the Naked Sundays. Um, it's it's amazing. I I love the way it feels on my face. They have a tinted one, so you can wear just that. Um, it's really, really good. So I'm excited for that. I I do have some skin damage on my chest, which ugh, it's totally my fault. I got fried like, I don't know, a few years ago. I don't even remember what happened. I think I put lotion on or something, and we were out somewhere, and I didn't realize like how exposed my the top of my chest was, and it just got hammered. So I did that to myself. I totally take the blame. So I've just been kind of like, eh, what do I do? And so I've been looking at a few different options. So I'll probably get some laser work done, but obviously not right now because you cannot be out in the sun at all. And that's just not an option for me. So I will keep you guys updated on that um and let you know what I do. I I don't think it's too terrible, like too much damage, but you never know until you get, you know, under their lights, and then when they really look at you and they're like, Oh, you were a bad girl, and it's like, yeah, I know. So we'll we'll see about that. But um also, you guys, guess what? Got some merch. Yay! Finally, so I got some t-shirts, I got some, I got black, gray, and white, got my cute logo on it. I used the local business, Patriot Woodworks. Thank you so much to Steph and Brandon. I am so excited. I feel like it took me forever, but I was just a busy girl, and I I didn't I knew what I wanted, but I didn't know what I wanted. So I just went basic right now and they turned out so cute. So I do have that coming out, and I also got these really cute um magnets made from this cute little small business on Instagram, Snap Squares. She's from Bakersfield and she did an amazing job. It's just so cute. So I have those. So if you guys need anything, let me know. I don't have a ton of inventory right now. I just have, you know, a good amount to get started because I will give some away. And if anybody wants to buy any, just DM me and let me know. But I um I'm so excited about it. I feel really, really official now. So it's kind of fun. And then in the wintertime, I will get some hoodies and some crew necks and maybe some sweatsuits. So keep um your eyes peeled for that because I think that will be that's gonna be really fun. Like I said, I feel like really official now. So um it's you know, it's fun. I I love it. It's been a year almost, um, which is crazy. And I the other day I was listening back to through all my episodes. Oh, you all gotta start somewhere, right? Oh, I feel like the my first few episodes, you could tell how nervous I was, which I still sometimes get really nervous because it is a little bit nerve-wracking, you know? And so listening from the beginning till now, I'm just like, okay, it can only go up from here. Like every episode gets better. Um, I will say I absolutely love having co-hosts because it's so much fun. I, you guys raved about the Wade episode. It they are so much fun. I love both of them so much. I can't wait to have Disa on again. I can't wait to have Ryan on again. Um, it they're both so fun, and I really appreciate them coming on. I appreciate everybody that has come on so far: Stephanie, Sharon, the Wade. Like it's just been so great. And so I can't wait to have more people on. Um, I've talked to quite a few people in town, and so I do have a really fun lineup coming up the rest of this year. So I just again so thankful and so happy that everybody has been so positive and welcoming. And it's been, like I said, it's been fun, and it's been fun to listen from the beginning already till now. And I'm just like, okay, I've gotten better. You know, I still have a little bit of things to work on, but you know, that's how we get better. Um, also, are you guys loving the World Cup? I'm kind of sad that I did not get tickets. I'm like, I'm not a huge soccer person. I literally I know like three soccer players, uh, Messi, uh Christian Ronaldo, and David Beckham. And apparently David Beckham doesn't even play anymore. So that's how out of the loop I am with soccer. And I don't even think he plays World Cup soccer. I don't even know. I those are the ones that I know. Um, but it looks amazing. Their fans seem so nice. I love that they're loving the United States. I love that they're loving Chili's. I love the ranch. Oh my god, you guys. So I on TikTok and Instagram, they're like all this TSAs like we have confiscated so much ranch. Like, it's insane. And so I just love that. I think it's so funny. So, you know, we need to get some friends overseas and start sending them care packages because apparently they love ranch. Um, but watching them eat Chipotle, watching them try Taco Bell is so amazing. They're like, this stuff is amazing. I just feel bad that they don't have that, but also they also don't have red dye 40 over there and all the bad stuff that we have. So they they have never had any of this. So it's it's so funny to watch. I love that they're enjoying themselves. Um, I saw, I think it was on Instagram or TikTok, allegedly, like they drank Boston out of alcohol or beer. That's hilarious. I I love it. And so it's just, I feel like that's been such a good little boost for the whole world. You know, everyone's watching and it's just so fun. So I have been enjoying that. If you haven't seen any of it, check it out. It's all over. It's on TikTok, it's on Instagram. Um, you guys will not be disappointed. It's so sweet. Um, I just love it. So, and the oh, the one kid or the one guy, um, when he finds out that there's unlimited soda refills, he's like, I can have a thousand cokes. And the guy's like, You're not gonna drink. He's like, but I can. It is so funny. I just, I just absolutely love it. So that has been a fun, it's been fun on social media right now. You know how sometimes like it ebbs and flows. Like sometimes it's just really bad, and it's just bad news and bad things. And I hate when that happens and it's just like, ugh. But then something super fun and wholesome happens, and it's just makes social media fun again. And I love fun social media, you know. Don't get me wrong, do I still love my memes that dig a little bit and like, oh, I know who like that. Yes, I absolutely do, but I I do love social media for the funness of it, and I that's what I enjoy. And so right now I just feel like it's in a really good place. And so if you haven't checked it out, it would be worth it. So, um, what else, you guys? Oh, the grand reopening a couple weekends ago, um, downtown. It was so much fun, it was so great. It was a little toasty, but you know, hey, that's what happens when you live where it gets hot. But a lot of people came out, there was a lot of vendors. The coffee shop is so cute. They have some cute murals on the wall now, they've rebranded. I absolutely love it. So that is really cute. So if you have a chance, go check them out. And also, I'm gonna have them on the pod soon. So um I talked to talked to Destiny about that. So that'll be really fun. So you guys can, you know, write in some questions if you have if you have anything to ask and things like that. So that is some things that are gonna be coming up. So yeah, it's just been, you know, it's been so fun. I can't like I said, I can't believe it's already been almost a year and it has been so much fun. And I love it. And yeah, so what else? Oh, okay. So I got a new phone finally after five years, because I just if it's not broke, don't fix it. I will keep things forever just because it's a hassle to, you know, exchange all that stuff and blah, blah, blah. Well, my phone stopped charging and it was just slacking, and I was just like, oh, the end is near. I have to do, I have to get a phone. So I finally went over. I got the new iPhone. I absolutely love it. I wish I would have got one sooner, but it is what it is. But you guys, have you noticed the keyboard when you're texting? I have never misspelled so many words. Like, I don't understand. And so I was like reading some stuff, and they're like, and this is a common problem. Other people have been like, dude, what's up with the keyboard? So I don't know if they made it smaller. I don't think my well, my fingers might have gotten fatter because I have chubby fingers, but not that bad. Okay. Not enough to where I literally misspell everything. And so I was reading something and they're like, yeah, Apple did something to the keyboard because this is crazy. Like it shouldn't be like this. So put it back, Apple, put it back. Um it's annoying. I hate having to like erase it and then do it again. And so I have been using voice to text more, which is fine. But I half the time I have like music on, so I don't want to stop my music and have to talk. So just fix the keyboard. Okay. Please just a little PSA. Fix the keyboard. Um, also, this new camera on this phone is awesome. The zoom on it is crazy. Like you literally, I could probably be in my house, and if someone's standing across the street with their phone facing me, I might be able to read it. It it's that clear. So I kind of love that. It's it's really fun. So um but also I understand don't get a phone just because it's dumb. But also, it didn't take very long to switch all my stuff over. That has gotten better. It's just, you know, like I said, if it's broke, don't fix it. Um anyway, what else you guys? I just, yeah, I don't know. I think that's kind of it for today. I don't have too much to report back. I, you know, it's summertime, football season's already starting. So that's fun. It's my son's senior year. Ugh, I'm still, I'm still coming to terms with that.
