Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio
Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio is a weekly podcast for action figure collectors who never really stopped playing. They just got more shelves.
Hosted by lifelong collectors Jon Sargent and Christian McGahan, the show covers action figures and collectibles from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and today, with equal love for vintage classics and modern lines. From WWE, Marvel Legends, and DC Universe Classics to TMNT, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, He-Man, and beyond, nothing is off the table if it belongs in the toy aisle conversation.
Each episode blends nostalgia, current hobby news, and real collector perspective. The hosts break down new reveals, recent pickups, and major moments in toy history, while also getting into group toy hunts, live drafts, secondary-market chaos, Whatnot sales, convention stories, and the way collecting actually fits into adult life.
This isn’t an instruction manual or a hype machine. It’s a hangout for collectors who’ve been doing this long enough to have opinions, stories, wins, losses, and shelves that tell a story. Sometimes the show goes deep on a single era or toy line. Sometimes it turns into a creative exercise about how and why we connect with these figures in the first place.
If you collect loose, mint on card, or somewhere in between—and if you enjoy talking toys with people who genuinely love the hobby—this is your spot.
New episodes every week.

Modern Marvel Legends: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly + TMNT Economics
On this episode of Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio, we kick things off by catching up on the week, including our latest toy hunt successes and failures, Christian’s mighty first baseball game of the season, and Jon’s grueling week at martial arts camp and testing… which may or may not have included powerbombing someone.
From there, we dive into Marvel Legends: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, taking a hard look at the modern era of the line from Hasbro (2006–today). We break down what Marvel Legends does better than anyone, what still drives collectors crazy, and what parts of the line might be completely beyond saving.
As always, we cover the latest news in the action figure world, including a heavy news week for McFarlane DC Multiverse and WWE figures, along with everything else collectors need to know.
Finally, we close the episode with Turtle Economics, a deep dive into the current reality of collecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. Between the rising prices, line oversaturation, exclusives, aftermarket chaos, and the endless number of turtles on the shelf… we try to make sense of what TMNT collecting has become.
If you collect Marvel Legends, TMNT, WWE figures, Batman, Superman, or anything in between, this one will hit close to home.
