In this episode, guest Kasper Benneker from Utrecht Municipality discusses how urban development is often limited by a focus on small areas and economic interests. He introduces the Barcode tool, which was developed and tested to improve cities by creating a transparent and accessible way to visualize land use. This tool helps to create a better balance between the needs of residents, workplaces, and local functions, leading to a more attractive and sustainable city.
