Two beauty industry insiders pull back the curtain on the rarely discussed reality of navigating pregnancy while working in aesthetics. Couture Med Spa's regional manager Raquel and nurse practitioner Nicole share their unfiltered pregnancy journeys with honesty, vulnerability, and plenty of humor.
The conversation dives deep into the physical and emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy from a unique perspective: what happens when the professionals who normally provide beauty treatments suddenly can't receive them? Both women candidly discuss missing their neurotoxin injections, laser treatments, and specialized skincare while pregnant, creating a fascinating dichotomy between their professional knowledge and personal experience.
Their contrasting pregnancy experiences spark an entertaining debate about the legendary "pregnancy glow" – with Raquel (expecting a boy) seemingly blessed with it despite a simplified skincare routine, while Nicole (expecting her second girl) battles breakouts despite her best efforts. This leads to a lighthearted theory about gender differences in pregnancy that many listeners will find relatable.
Beyond aesthetics, the women share raw reflections on body image challenges after previous weight loss journeys, surprising food cravings, and the importance of self-compassion. Their medical insights on pregnancy-safe treatments provide valuable guidance for expectant mothers, while their dreams of post-pregnancy beauty days reveal the light at the end of the tunnel.
What makes this episode truly special is the authentic vulnerability these beauty professionals bring to the conversation. Their willingness to show the human side of pregnancy – the insecurities, discomforts, and joys – creates a refreshing and empowering dialogue that reminds us all to embrace our journeys with grace, support, and perhaps a McDonald's breakfast sandwich when necessary.
Meet Our Expecting Guests
Speaker 1Hi everyone. Welcome back to Couture Conversations, the podcast where we dive into all things aesthetics, confidence and enhancing your natural glow. I'm your host, lindsay, the lead esthetician here at Couture Med Spa, and today's episode is extra special. I am joined by two amazing women from our Couture family Raquel, who is our regional manager, and Nicole, one of our incredible nurse practitioners. Not only are they powerhouse leaders in the world of aesthetics, but they are both expecting. We're going to chat about the unique journey of pregnancy, how it intersects with beauty and self-confidence, and what treatments are safe or not safe during this exciting time. So let's jump in. Thank you both for being here today, so I'll go first. So, nicole, sorry, when, when are you? Um, when did you? Well, we were just talking about this before we started, but when are you due?
Speaker 1When's your expected due date?
Speaker 2So my expected due date is November 10th, um, but we may go a little early, cause I was early with my first daughter, so we'll see.
Speaker 3And Raquel when are you due Mine's December 8th, okay, so all right, so coming up.
Speaker 2So, Nicole, what are you?
Speaker 1you do know what gender you're having yes, I'm having another little girl, um, and then I have a daughter at home and a stepson, so this will be three for us, raquel, what are you expecting?
Speaker 3I'm having a little boy okay, I have a. We have a 10 year old um daughter, so she's super excited that she doesn't have to share any of her things perfect, all right.
Speaker 1So how are you feeling right now? Just physically, emotionally, aesthetically, what are you feeling?
Speaker 2I'm tired. Let me tell you I am tired. Um, it's hard to get comfortable at night these days. Uh, sleeping. I'm a stomach sleeper, which is I know it's bad guys, I know it's bad, um, but now I'm being pregnant and not being able to sleep on my stomach and having to like sleep with my on my sides and then just like having to pee in the night and just constantly tossing and turning and then getting up and like working all day and then coming home to a toddler. It's definitely definitely a little exhausting, but overall I mean pretty good, just just tired sleep is definitely um.
Speaker 3I'm also a stomach sleeper so it's like you look like a rotisserie chicken, like turn to the left, turn to the right, turn to the left, turn to the right. Then you got to get up.
Speaker 1Then, when you finally get comfortable, it's like oh, now I have to pee, yeah, so yeah have any of you, or either of you, experienced the pregnancy glow that they say, that you get, or what would you say aesthetically, yeah, what are you? What are you feeling right now? Did you get that glow, or are you feeling a little blah?
Speaker 2Definitely not me. I definitely have not gotten that glow. I don't think I got it with my daughter's pregnancy either. Um, I I don't know. They say, girls, take your beauty. And I a thousand percent believe that. Um. I'm more breaking out just more horm um with my daughter so I have not gotten the glow, but I will say Rocky looks very glowy today.
Speaker 3I he will. He has treated me pretty well, other than we like to eat, so on that part, not that great. But my skin actually, everybody's like oh, you're glowing. And I'm like really because I've been gotten, I've been getting lazy, I'm not gonna lie. I just washed my face and I put on a cleanse like myer and moisturizer. I don't do all my skincare anymore, so I'm just like. I washed my face with a makeup wipe last night because I was so tired. I'm like, but thanks.
Speaker 1She's treating me right. She is not wrong. She walked in. Was it Tuesday? You were in this fall. She walked in and I was like your skin looks so good it's going like thanks, I just washed it.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, I'm jealous. Okay, I'm jealous.
Speaker 1I'm over here with my 30 products trying to get glowy, and I'm opposite. So I think we've proved our point that we just said Nicole's girl takes the glow boys really giving it to Rocky. So scientific proof, right, yeah. So what has surprised you most about your body, your skin, the overall vibe of pregnancy?
Speaker 2Um, I mean, pregnancy is just like, honestly, a really weird miracle. Um, it's obviously a blessing that you're able to get pregnant and have a baby, Um, and just to see your body change. I think it's a little challenging, Um, especially for me. Um, being in aesthetics, I was on a weight loss journey before I got pregnant and then we decided, of course, after I lose 60 pounds, we decided that we're going to expand our family and I think it's a little challenging mentally to watch the weight go the opposite way, even though it is for a good cause. I think it's a little challenging kind of seeing your body change that way, but it's still exciting. A little challenging kind of seeing your body change that way, Um, but it's still exciting. So, and then obviously it makes you excited for um, you know afterward, and motive I should say motivated afterward to get back to where I was before then.
Speaker 3Yeah, no, I think same thing, Like I was also you know we were all on like our, the skinniest we've ever been Like you know, and it's you hit that point where you're like it's so nice to like wear like the smaller sizes and I got rid of all my like fat clothes because I was like, oh, like I'm a medium, now, okay, you can't tell me nothing. And then now it's like it is, it's like I'm like back to my original weight and it's like, okay, like you are growing another human being and, like I said, me and my son do love to eat. So it's like it is a little discouraging, but it is like you have this like wonderful opportunity to like create life and like this is my first. So my daughter is my husband had her. Of course, she's like my stepdaughter, but she's really my daughter, but so this is my first time like actually carrying a baby.
Speaker 3So, um, but so this is my first time like actually carrying a baby. So it's like so cool to see, like, like you feel the move and like you see them on, you know, on the little ultrasound, and it's like, okay, this is why I gained 60 pounds because he's just in there doing his thing. So, um, you have to give yourself a little grace. So it is hard, definitely like think, looking in the mirror and being like, oh, like I was looking so good and now my ankles are swollen.
Speaker 1I can't see my feet when I look down, is there anything that you expected to feel? So I'll go with Rocky first. Is there anything you expected to feel being your first time and not knowing what pregnancy was going to be like? Is there anything you expected to like feel, whether it was physically, emotionally, whatever it is, that is different than what you thought it was going to be?
Speaker 3Yeah. So I guess, like, um, when I first found out like I, I really didn't have any symptoms. So I was like, and then they obviously like make you wait until you're like a certain amount to do like your first appointment, and it's like, are you? There's something in there Like I, really, other than like like I was hungry all the time but I also like wasn't doing my weight loss job. So it's like, is it because of the baby or is it because I just stopped injecting myself, you know? So, um, it was definitely like really not having like symptoms, which I'm super grateful for because I know Nicole was going through it, so I'm so sorry um, and then like, like I just I.
Speaker 3I'm now, uh, 24 um weeks and I just started feeling him and it's like they always ask me do you feel me? Do you feel me? I'm like, I don't know what I'm supposed to be feeling like. Is it gas? Is it him moving? Like I'm not sure. But then, like, once you like you'll know, you'll. It's a, it's a different feeling, but everybody tells you you'll know, and then you don't know until you actually feel and you're like're like, oh okay, that's him moving. But yeah, I guess that would be my. That would be like the different. Also, like your body changes so much and like I develop carpal tunnel, like I thought you get that when you're like older I'm only 25, guys, I got old lady hands.
Speaker 3But that's what these kids do to you. They just change everything.
Speaker 1He hasn't even come out yet. Yeah, he hasn't even come out.
Speaker 3I'm like causing all this chaos.
Speaker 1Nicole, is there anything? So this is your second pregnancy. Is there anything different with this pregnancy than when you have with your first one?
Speaker 2No, I feel like I knew right away because with both pregnancies, um, immediately like my breasts got so tender and um, that was like my first sign. And once I they got tender, I was like okay, like I think we gotta take a test. Um, and then I felt okay, um, obviously, like Rocky said, you have to like wait to go see your doctor, so, um, but um, but then right around like six cause I think I found out like four weeks and then around six to eight weeks, um, I was like dry heaving, puking. I was not blessed like Rocky with this beautiful boy that makes her glow.
Speaker 2Um, I was the total opposite like dry heaving, super nauseous, like the worst food aversions. I literally didn't have carbs for nine months on triseptide and now that's all I could eat was cereal like Cheerios, and bread and watermelon. Um, but, um, with both my pregnancies I was kind of really sick in the beginning until about 16 weeks, and then my second trimester was great, like I literally felt good, I had more energy back, um, and then now, going into the third trimester or in the third trimester, just getting more tired and uncomfortable. You're like watching your body change more, like you're getting bigger, it's getting harder to put, like my shoes on you know, tie my shoes and like go to the bathroom, get up in the morning, you know things like that.
Speaker 2So it's kind of it's a really cool process, like Raku was saying, like feel them grow and watch your body grow with them. But definitely, you know, has its challenges. But I feel like both my pregnancies were pretty similar. I'm also high risk with this pregnancy, like I was with my first one. So I have all those kind of appointments and things that you know kind of make it sometimes a little bit challenging with work, you know, trying to fit all those in. But all worth it, get to see them more and make sure they're doing okay.
Aesthetic Challenges During Pregnancy
Speaker 1So I always hear everyone talk about weird cravings that people get when they're pregnant. Have you had any weird food cravings?
Speaker 3I wouldn't say like, okay, so I eat McDonald's every day for breakfast. I guess that's a craving, because I always get a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with an orange juice. And if you ask my husband, like, because he like, likes McDonald's I, before I got pregnant, I hate McDonald's. Like I could not stand the thought of McDonald's. And then now, like, I make it a point to like stop and get. And like the girls that are driving through know me, it's so bad. She's like hi, sweetie, how are you? Like I'm doing great things. She's like they got your order wrong. You would never order a sausage bagel.
Speaker 3I'm like the fact that you know that is a little concerning for me because that means I'm here too often. Um and soda I know it's also mcdonald's and soda, not not good um combinations but not healthy. Um, I think also. But like, because, also like before, because I was like weight loss're, like eating all this healthy food and I never. And now, like I have to have a Pepsi like every day, like, and I wish I could have two or three, but I can't, I have to stop at one.
Speaker 2For me, my first trimester couldn't eat much, so it was Cheerios and watermelon.
Speaker 1She couldn't eat anything.
Speaker 2Literally anything. It was horrible. And then my second trimester, for some reason like, egg rolls and carrots were like life, like carrots dipped in ranch I was obsessed with. And then egg rolls, but specific kind, like not really greasy kind the specific kind from Publix that you put in the air fryer.
Speaker 2Those are my favorite. And then now my third trimesterester. I don't know what my obsession is, but tomato, cheese and bacon sandwiches Lindsay will tell you I was like. You know that what sounds so good right now is the tomato, cheese and bacon sandwich and literally I've probably had like seven in the last two weeks um, so I would say that's my craving right now. Um, nothing like super weird, like some people crave some like really weird crazy stuff. Um, but not something I would normally be.
Speaker 1Like I have to have it, but those things yeah, the day that you went home and you sent me the picture of that sandwich of your, I was like I need to make it looked good, it looked so good.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's been a, it's been a thing lately so let's talk beauty, let's talk the aesthetics world.
Speaker 1So what products or routines have become absolute staples for you during pregnancy, if any?
Speaker 2uh, staples for me. Obviously because I've been more acne oh, I'm always acne prone, but especially more with pregnancy and changes in hormones. Um, is going to be my skincare routine, but being pregnant, you have to. I had to take out a lot of things like my retinols and my more acne fighting products like salicylic acid and glycolic that I would normally do to kind of combat my acne skin. I can't really use that anymore.
Speaker 2So I've been trying to keep my skincare regimen like simple but still have regimen to like keep my breakouts under control. So I usually do like a gentle cleanser. I love doing the hydranity mist. I'm obsessed because with the hypochlorous acid it kills 90% of bacteria on the skin within 30 seconds. So that's a stable like every day, like I have to use that because that's really stable, like every day, like I have to use that because that's really one of like the main acne things I can use right now. Um, and then just like a really like light moisturizer or like hyaluronic acid serum and then like sunscreen. That's really. I just try to keep it pretty simple because, um, sometimes less is more, especially when you're going through all these hormonal changes and you want to make sure you're using like just safe products.
Speaker 3Yeah, no, I bare minimum for me because I have no energy. So I'd definitely say, like a dental cleanser and a moisturizer I'm really loving we got the SkinMedica Steramide. We got the SkinMedica Ceramide I do like a little bit of a thicker, but not thick where it's like greasy, but it's like still feels light enough. So I've been loving that. And then sunscreen, because sometimes I don't have the energy to put on makeup. So a little tinted sunscreen and some mascara and a lip balm and you're good to go.
Speaker 1Well, you both look beautiful every time I see you, so it's working. You're good to go, Well you both look beautiful every time I see you, so it's working. What is um? What are some things that you've had to change as far as your routine goes when it comes to like lasers and injectables and treatments? What are some things that? Are there any treatments that you still are able to?
Speaker 3do and that you're loving. I can't do anything. It's very sad. It's so sad because then, all of a sudden, we want to add all these new treatments, exosomes and NAD, and me and Nicole are just sitting here like it's hard as an injector every day having to do these on your clients and then you look wrinkly Like I'm like don't judge me.
Speaker 2And everyone's like, stop, you're fine. I'm like no, this is probably the wrinkliest I've been in a long time Because I love my neurotoxins and it's hard to like sometimes quote people and recommend these services and I'm like, dang, I really want I miss mine.
Speaker 1I want to do it not that I go crazy.
Speaker 2You know, I do my lip filler, maybe like once a year, um, but of course I'm due like now and I can't do it, um, and I love my microneedling and it's not really like recommended, so I have to stay away from that. And and we just added the exosomes, so all these treatments that, like, I've been so excited and waiting to do and now I just have to keep waiting. But it's okay, it's worth it.
Speaker 1What's your, what's your one treatment that you miss the most.
Speaker 2What I miss the most is probably going to be disport because of my expressions in my face, like my wrinkles, like look at this, this is bad. Not that I go crazy, like I go pretty natural, but I don't like to have that much movement, like I don't like for people to be like see all that.
Speaker 3So I probably miss that the most. I miss my trisepatite.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, I miss it so much.
Speaker 3I love that too much. And laser hair. I lasered my whole body and I feel like your hormones. I did all that work and it all just came right back, so those are my two.
Speaker 1Nicole. So, from a medical standpoint as a nurse, why, for anyone who may not know, or anyone who is pregnant or thinking of you know, expanding their family? Why are there so many things that you can't do when you're pregnant?
Treatments to Avoid When Pregnant
Speaker 2So there are some things that you probably could do while pregnant, but unfortunately no one ever wants to take the risk and do the research on pregnant women and potentially cause harm to a developing baby or fetus. So a lot of the things are just not tested. So, unfortunately, like the science behind it, they'd probably be okay, cause sometimes things don't penetrate or go as deep as what, to where it could actually get to the baby, but no one just ever wants to test it and no one really wants to take that risk. Like I wouldn't want to take a risk on my kid, I wouldn't recommend the risk on anybody else's kid. So until there's some way AI way or something that they can do research and find a little bit more studies that it would be safe and not cause any complications, then I think a lot more people in the aesthetic industry and a lot more OBs would be more prone to promoting some things for pregnant women. But there's just not a lot of research behind it at this time, so they don't recommend it.
Speaker 1Is there a time that people have to wait after giving birth to start doing treatments again?
Speaker 2So normally, depending on the treatment, you'd probably want to wait at least six weeks to be cleared by your OB. Usually, you know your body's going through a lot of hormonal changes, it's recovering. I mean, you just gave birth, which is like a big big thing, um. So I would say for most treatments it's probably at least six weeks, could be more, depending on your delivery and whatever medical situations happen during your pregnancy. Um, so you'd always want to get clearance from your OB. Um, but it depends also if you're breastfeeding. So if you're breastfeeding, um after delivery and after the baby, um, even while breastfeeding, it's not recommended to do neurotoxins, it's not recommended to do fillers, not recommended to do some medical grade skincare products and um laser treatments. So even um through the course of breastfeeding, we wouldn't recommend it. So, um again, until those research studies are done and there's more evidence. So it could be six weeks. If you're not breastfeeding, it could be longer if you are.
Speaker 1Are there any treatments that you were surprised to find out that were not pregnancy safe Like? Are there anything that either of you were like man I can probably still do this while I'm pregnant and then you found out, or something the opposite, something you thought you couldn't do, couldn't use, and found out that it was probably okay.
Speaker 2Um, I mean, I thought like microneedling honestly would be okay because and there's not really a lot of studies that says it's not okay but you know, you're just kind of like causing inflammation below the skin. It's not like penetrating like super deep into like where most would believe it would affect the baby or anything. So I would have thought that would have been safe. But again, there's just not research behind it so they don't recommend it.
Speaker 3I would be like facials, like there's different facials, like love me a fire and ice facial and um, some of the stuff that's like in their products. Like and I just had a hydrafacial with Cynthia in Winter Park and she made my, she made me my own little pregnancy concoction and made it safe. But it's like I didn't realize, like how many things like her little ingredients are in there that are not safe. We just think, oh, it's a facial, you know, it's not like a laser or anything.
Finding Beauty During Pregnancy
Speaker 1So I think that would be my biggest like oh, I didn't know, we couldn't do that. Yeah, there's definitely things when it comes to facials that we can adjust to make it pregnancy safe, but there is a lot of stuff in some of the ingredients that we use that you're like oh, you should probably stay away from this, but we're we're pretty good at being able to adjust that, which is nice. But yeah, there are a lot of clients who come in and they're like, oh, I didn't even think to tell you. You know, if we ask you know any pregnancy or breastfeeding, they didn't even think to tell, because they think, oh, it's just a facial, but still things that you need to tell your provider. So, in this era that you're in right now, what does feeling beautiful look like to you right now? Has this changed since becoming pregnant?
Speaker 2I think being pregnant, just your hormones are everywhere. So you I feel like never feel amazing. You know your body's changing. You know your breasts hurt, you're breaking out, you're getting bigger.
Speaker 2So I think there's a lot of things that kind of make you feel like kind of gross about yourself.
Speaker 2I mean, obviously, like it's all beautiful things, Like you're creating a life, you're creating a human, but mentally and physically, like just the way that you feel, I don't think like you ever feel like amazing, Maybe for like a couple weeks in the second trimester, but then, like in the first trimester, definitely not me, and the third trimester, definitely not me as well. But I think you know having support of, like you know your co-workers and like you know family and friends and spouses or boyfriends and everything. I think having that support system, that having that reminder like you are beautiful, like you look great, like there'll be times I'm like, oh, I look disgusting, they're like shut up, you look great, you know um. So I think just having that support system really helps you like feel your best, um, and just trying to do things that make you feel good, like staying hydrated, you know, trying to eat healthier, like things like that are going to make you feel better, obviously during this time when you're not feeling your best.
Speaker 3Yeah, no, I think it's definitely like, even though you're growing this amazing like little human and you're doing your body doing all these amazing things, think it's definitely hard for you to like feel good. Like you wake up tired, you're limping because your sciatica hurts, you're out of breath just from walking, you know, to the front door, um, but it is like, definitely having that like support system and we have such amazing like team, like our team is just so amazing. All the girls that work, you know they're, you know we're all like a big family.
Speaker 3So, like you know, and I have the luxury of going to all the locations they're like, oh, you look so great today, rocky, I'm like really, because like I don't feel great but it's, it's definitely having that like support and just, and also like thinking in the back of your mind like, okay, like, like my husband tells me all the time he's like, yeah, but you're like, you know you're growing life and like you're pregnant, like I'm like I know, but my pants don't fit and I can't see my feet.
Speaker 3Um, so it's definitely like having that awesome support and, you know, having that at home and at work as well. We have an amazing team who, like, who keeps reminding us like all, like, whatever me and nicole it's funny because ashley gillen made a comment. I was on a call with her and she's like, um, I was in a coey and me and nicole were there and she's like, everybody keeps offering you guys like food or like you guys need anything. They kept coming in, like they're always checking on us, they're always making sure that we're okay. Um, so, having that good support system, it helps us feel better than we actually feel.
Speaker 2Yeah they treat us like pregnant princesses over there, so um I was vacuuming the other day and they're like you shouldn't vacuum.
Speaker 3I'm like, why'm like? It's not happy.
Speaker 1What would you say to other expecting moms who feel disconnected from their bodies or appearance while they're pregnant?
Speaker 2I would just say, like you know, give yourself grace. Like you know you're creating such a beautiful thing and even though it's going to be kind of a rough couple months or not couple but nine months it's so worth it in the end, like when you get to hold that baby and you get to, you know, spend that time and watch that little human grow. Like you know, with my daughter growing she's three now and it's just like crazy, like how fast she's grown and how quickly they grow and just seeing how quickly they develop and getting to experience that it all makes it worth it. And you know you can still have get yourself back.
Speaker 2You know, during this pregnancy time, when you gain weight or you are wrinkly or you, you know, have acne or whatever, all that you can get back. You know you can still be the best version of yourself. This is just a time where your kid needs you and to develop and then, once they're here, you'll be able to. You know you have the support of people to get back. So I think it's important for some people get stuck after pregnancy, like thinking like they have to stay that way, and I know kind of after my daughter I kind of thought the same way. Like I gained some weight and I was like oh, this is just how I'm meant to be. But I think it's nice now going in with the mindset of like I lost all that weight before pregnancy, so now I'm like determined to like lose it again, which gives me motivation to be like the best version of myself after pregnancy no, I definitely agree.
Speaker 3I was ordering Christmas pajamas yesterday, I'm like, and I ordered my my regular size, because I was like, okay, he's gonna be born three weeks before Christmas. That gives me three weeks like, and it's not like saying like you have to lose like all the baby weight, but it is motivation, just because, like, we were so motivated before and, like you know, we were like best versions of ourselves, like I've never been that small before. Um, so I think definitely like, if you're expecting mom and you're feeling like disconnected, like just know that it's okay, like and try to do things that make you happy. Like schedule a facial, schedule, a massage, like go get your hair done. Like, um, those little things like make a difference.
Speaker 3Like kind of like pamper yourself, um, because it is sometimes like a little easy to like let yourself go in a way, just because you're so tired. Like you wake up and you're like I don't even want to brush my hair, I'm like, but I have to. So, um, definitely, like you know, doing little things that make you happy, um, like not feeling bad because you want to eat a cupcake or whatever like it. You know, at the end of the day, you're growing life, like your body's gonna change you. You're not going to be the same Um, and you're going to have this like wonderful little gift afterwards that you're going to. They're going to be so cute and tiny. It's like you're a reward.
The Ultimate Post-Baby Beauty Day
Speaker 1It's a cute little reward If you had to design the ultimate new mom beauty day. What is on the itinerary? New mom like after baby, yeah, post baby, you can do any treatments that you want. So if we're breastfeeding past that, what nothing's off limits of what you can't do anymore so my ideal day after I'm cleared with everything you're cleared with everything.
Speaker 2You're good to go so I'd wake up, maybe go get a mimosa, get some breakfast and then maybe start my day with like a facial. Um, and then I would go get some neurotoxins to just make myself feel nice and refreshed. Um, while I'm there, I'd probably get some triseptide to curb my hunger and get me back to my pre-pregnancy weight and then do some laser treatments to get the hair that I've grown through changes in hormones and then do some laser treatments. What else would I do? I would probably do get my skincare, like get my skincare routine back, start getting all my products back. Get a pedicure like somewhere like I don't know, just like an ultimate spa day where you can just do everything that you love. That makes you feel good.
Speaker 3Yeah, no, I mine would be. I would go get me a taco and a margarita, because I've never craved a margarita because I've never craved a margarita.
Speaker 3So much then while being pregnant. Um, I would definitely get my you know, disport, my trisepatide, like, honestly, if I could like just bring it to me up to the hospital when I get birth on a platter. Um, oh, I really want a Jersey Mike's um sub. Oh, no, uh, jimmy johns sorry sub, I really want me some deli meat. That would be on the list too. Um, and then laser, like I like just strap me down and laser me from head to toe. That would be my ideal spa day.
Speaker 1Sounds like some pretty good days. All right, well, we're ready. Yeah, just close the spa. You guys, come in, we'll do it all. We got it All right. Well, do either of you have any last words or final advice or anything for anyone going through the same journey or might potentially be going through the same journey in a little bit?
Speaker 2I would say just enjoy it. I know it's sometimes hard to enjoy it when you don't feel the greatest and when it's like scary you may have like unknown situations, like with me being high risk, like I'm a little apprehensive with each appointment. But just enjoy it Like it's such a beautiful time it goes by really fast and give yourself grace and just know that these services are still going to be here when you're done. So do what works for you now, make it simple, make it work and then, as soon as you're cleared and ready to go, do something for you and get back in there and get yourself to be the best version of yourself that you want to be.
Speaker 3Yeah, absolutely Enjoy every moment it does. It goes by so fast Like I remember the day I found out to now I'm like, oh, december's almost here, like August is almost over. You know, enjoy every moment, give yourself grace, you know, just know that it even though it seems hard some days, and it seems like you know, even though it seems hard some days, and it seems like you know, it's like, oh, this is not a fun time. Not everybody gets the chance to be a mom and to carry a baby, and you know, and go through all these like not so fun steps. So definitely enjoy it. And yeah, kator will be here when you're ready afterwards We'll zap you up, yeah.
