If your skin routine feels like guesswork, consider this your map. We sat down with Cintia from our Winter Park team to break down what actually moves the needle: a smart starting point with our signature facial, the clarifying power of Hydrafacial (yes, including the oddly satisfying gunky jar), and why dermaplaning plus a mild acid can unlock the smoothest, brightest version of your skin without irritation.
From there, we dive into Fire & Ice for that no-downtime “reset” that tackles dullness and texture while giving you the calm, hands-on touch people crave. We explore cryofacials and how controlled cold boosts circulation, oxygenation, and de-puffing—great for reactive skin and pre-event lift. Then we zoom out to body with cryo contouring, using cold-induced apoptosis to slim stubborn zones like abdomen, thighs, flanks, arms, and under-chin, especially when combined with healthy habits and complementary body tech.
We go deep on chemical peels—how multi-acid blends target different layers for dark spots, fine lines, and roughness—and explain why fall and winter are prime peel seasons. And yes, we make the case for microneedling with SkinPen: customizable depth, Fitzpatrick-inclusive, potent for melasma and scars, and a perfect partner for exosomes to speed recovery and amplify results. Finally, we ground it all with the 80/20 homecare rule. Professional treatments are 20%; the other 80% is you using proven actives—think stable vitamin C, multi-weight hyaluronic, daily SPF, and heavy hitters like TNS—to lock in gains and keep your skin performing.

Thanks for joining me for another episode.
SPEAKER_00I love it. Always my pleasure.
Why Our Signature Facial Matters
SPEAKER_01So we offer a lot of things at Couture. So we're just going to kind of go down the list of the different services that we offer, different treatments. Yeah, so we'll start with our signature couture facial. So what would you say makes a civic signature couture facial special to Couture and a great place to start for new clients?
SPEAKER_00It's a great introduction. You know, we we get a lot of girls and guys, once again, that come in and maybe have never had a facial in their whole life, you know. Um, it's a great way to introduce good treatments. You know, if you're doing something or I'll tell someone, hey, listen, this is gonna be, this is your couture. This is given to you in your membership. You're an empowered tiered membership. This is gonna be given to you every single month. And in the beginning, let's start off with that. I want to see how your skin reacts, how you do with most of the ingredients that we have, a lot of active ingredients, which I think is fabulous. Cause when you go to these other treatments that we do have, ingredients is the main key component. It's, you know, what is going to be active enough to go in and give you the results that you're you you never thought you can get. So it's a good introduction to seeing how well your skin does with certain ingredients. Um, do we need to focus on more on one or the other? Um, oh, you know, looking at your skin, I'm I'm feeling like you should be using this and that. And don't forget, when you leave here today, you should be scheduling your IPL, you know. But it's it's nice. It gets, I have never had someone tell me they did not like a facial, period. So I love those ones. We call them the virgins that come in and they're like, I've never had someone touch my face, I've never done extractions. And it's a good way to introduce everything else that couture is going to be offering you. So it's it's a good way to see how your skin even reacts. And especially for someone who doesn't even do a lot to their face, doing a couture is like amazing. It's amazing. And I tell people it will prep you to get even better results with your blade of lasers. You're going in for your fractionals, you're going in for your IPLs. It it marries each other so beautifully. So just being able to get that and not think about it, just be like, oh, I'm just gonna do a couture today. It's it's it's awesome. I there are wonderful active ingredients. There's so many great products that we use within our couture that gives people what they want and then pushes them to say, Oh my gosh, my skin looks so good. Imagine if I did a hydrofacial or if I did this. Um, so it's a good introduction for everybody and anybody.
SPEAKER_01So for anyone listening who doesn't know if they've never had what's involved in the couture facial.
SPEAKER_00So when I tell a patient, you know, this is what we're gonna do, this is a protocol. We're gonna double cleanse. We have two different cleansers, and once we're done with that, we're gonna apply an exfoliator, nice, good, active, different ingredients. Once again, all different tiered acids that are gonna come in. We're gonna do a nice lymphatic massage with some steam. We're gonna get your lymphs working, we're gonna get a lot of fluid away from the face, and we're gonna, you know, we're gonna give you a nice brighter complexion. And then from there, we're gonna take that off. We're gonna look under the lamp. I'm gonna do extractions, we're gonna look at areas that really tend you're never gonna be able to see yourself. Um, and then we'll go into applying your great products. So after you're all nice and clean, we're gonna do a good eye cream, we have a good vitamin C serum, a hyaluronic, a moisturizer, and obviously, no matter what, if it's not sunny, people are like, well, it's cloudy. I'm like, oh, but the rays are still there, girl. We need the sun, so it's there. We're putting on your sunblock. Um, so usually that's that's kind of what I give them their 411. Once I tell them that, they they'll always know what they're gonna get and they look forward to it. They love it.
Monthly Facials and Skin Renewal
unknownYeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So let's back it up for a second because it kind of jumped ahead. What is the importance of monthly facials? Why are they important? Unfortunately, we all get old, you know.
SPEAKER_00Darn it. Um, you never realize in your 20s a lot of things that start to alter, right? We start making, you know, we stop really having that collagen synthesis production, our elastin fibers start to loosen. You know, you need all those. You don't just need collagen, you need elastin. You you need, it's like I call it the youthful basket. And once that starts to go, a lot of other things, right? Like our internal lipid production, our hyaluronic, all of that starts to go away. And then even our cell turnover. As we get older, I think what is it, every 20 days, we're supposed to have good, fresh skin. Our body lifts it up, sheds it off, and then we've got nice, healthy, glowing skin underneath. Well, that starts to go as we get older. And so this is a really good way to tell your body to do something that maybe for the last 10 years it wasn't really doing, is so important is cell renewal. You need to wake the body up and say, hey, let's go in, let's put in some good protein peptides and let's make some good, healthy cells again. So cell renewal out of everything is the most important benefit that you'll get with a facial every single month.
Hydrafacial: How It Works and Who Benefits
SPEAKER_01Okay, so we're gonna move on to I know one of your favorite facials. So hydrofacials are they're very popular, they've been around for a while. Yeah. So if you can just describe to listeners what hydrofacial is, what it does, who it's good for, and why you and your clients love it so much.
SPEAKER_00I'll tell you, the thing is like never turned off. And especially for someone too who's like new and they try it for the first time, they just and it's nice because at the end you kind of get to see all that good stuff. So it really entails with once again, Hydrofacial is keen on using really good active ingredients, and every step hones in on a certain ingredient. So you've got this machine that's gonna use what we call vortex fusion, and you've got all these different tips that kind of maneuver these acids to go into the skin, really liquefying. In the beginning, I'll say, Hey, listen, we're gonna do your cleanser. This has got a lot of glucosamine. What does glucosamine do? It comes in and we call it the horny horny layer. It breaks up that glue that your skin cannot just easily shed sometimes, and you need some kind of mechanical manipulation. Um, so you're gonna get glucosamine for your cleansing part. And it really is great because every time you're taking that wand and you're touching the skin, it is literally using fresh ingredients. You're gonna you know, some there are some products out there or some machines that will kind of stay stagnant in in the solution they use, or might be just one solution. And we have multiple solutions. So every time I tell people you're feeling solution on the skin, it's new, fresh solution. And we take that impurities and we put it in the back of the chamber. And so it's so nice because you feel this fresh, clean. Some people are like, I feel five pounds lighter, you know, and it's so nice. But every step is so great. Your cleansing part is your glucosamine, you know. Then we go into, which is great because we give a booster. So there are some places that you're gonna have to pay for your boosters, you know. We give you a booster. We do your glycal, that's 7.5% glycolic acidity. And it's wonderful because now you're incorporating glucosamine that's gonna really start to shed and create a good way of now introducing other ingredients, your glycolic. And then we go into extractions where we go in a little bit more stronger. And now we're using a salicylic. And it's really what I'll say to people is really liquefying your sebaceous filaments. What sometimes we don't really even notice. And the end of a sebaceous filament life, I always say, is blockhead. It's just whatever's on the surface, oxidizes, and it has to be there for quite some time. And then from there, I'll tell people we're gonna neutralize all these acids. We're done. We're done using those. Now your skin is ready to take on some hyaluronic rich peptide serums. And so we go into a serum and then we set it with a red light therapy treatment. It, whether it's blue light, someone's suffering from acne. I love it because there are so many different elements that you can really use the hydrofacial for, whether someone's just looking to just have a clean feeling, um, someone's looking to feel super hydrated. I do it a lot. I get a lot of girls that we prep them. The last thing they do before their wedding is a hydrofacial. We're gonna do a hydrofacial, or they'll do a photo shoot. They're gonna be on a commercial. Hydrofacial is gonna be one of those things. It's it's amazing. It's been around for a while and it's kept its integrity. I have to say, Hydrofacial is one of those companies that I'm so proud to say has always kept its integrity. Their quality is amazing and it shows every single time because we are always constantly doing hydrofacials. It's just the way it is. And it works great when you're doing lasers. Someone's done a fractional, they feel super rough. You know, once again, we're a little older, our skin's not shedding, but we've done this ablative laser, and now you need something to get in there and exfoliate.
SPEAKER_01Hydrofacial is one of those things, it's it's amazing, and it's great because it exfoliates without being harsh or aggressive.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yeah. I would say probably the only person that wouldn't be a candidate would be someone who's got like a lot of what we call Kupero skin, right? Like 80% of your faces with broken capillaries. Well, guess what? That's not gonna really happen too much. We have other elements of facials that we'll do alongside with saying, hey, we're gonna do some IPLs. But really, 98% of all our patients absolutely love hydrofacial.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Cindy has a lot of hydrofacials.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. It's awesome. And I love doing them. It's so much fun to see in the back.
SPEAKER_01And then she's like, oh my god, that was such a skin. Tell them a little bit about the gunky jar.
The Famous “Gunky Jar” Explained
SPEAKER_00What so once you get done, what we say is like we trap like about an ounce worth of fluid. And it's so much fun to see in the back because you get to see all these like dense blackheads that are like sunk to the bottom, and then you see all the you know, the lighter density ones that are just floating around with hair and like, you know, once again, it'sbaceous filaments. It gets all creamy and chunky. It's like it's amazing. Some people are like, uh ew. And I'm like, this is fabulous. I love it. Um, so it's cool because it's not like, well, she told me that it's gonna suction this. It's like I'm gonna show you. And nine times out of ten, they are always shocked with how much comes out of their face that they don't even realize. You know, I'm like, you you're here this morning. You told me you washed your face last night. You washed it kind of now. And I always do a nice little quick cleanse before I do it, but it is an unbelievable how much we can still trap to the unseen naked eye that is still there lingering, even with a cleanse. So it's it's it's just an extra incentive to see better results. Once again, I will always say with your lasers. I'm a big laser girl. So, you know, it's like do your lasers and then come see me, or come see me and then do your lasers. So it's like back and forth. So it's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so dermoplaning.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Describe to us what dermoplaning is.
SPEAKER_00Dermoplaning is so funny because some people are like, Am I gonna grow back like Chewbacca? And I'm like, no, baby girl. It's called phallus hairs. We have them when we're born. We probably needed them more than a century ago for some reason. But it's a very, very mild exfoliating treatment. And I say more not chemically, but mechanically, because now you're taking a surgical blade, which I will tell a lot of people, I'm like, that's not a dermoplane blade. That's just a little razor. But that's okay. And then once they get a feel of like what professionally really you do with it, it's just so much better. But you know, you you have a surgical blade, you're going at a 45 degree angle, and in alongside with some people saying, Well, it's just my belly hairs are so much more than that, you're taking off that first layer of your stratum corneum. And it's nice because once again, once you're done with that, now you've got this fresh skin popping up, right? You got all these live skin cells that are showing. Almost not saying like you're stripping your microbiome, but now anything you're gonna put on afterwards is gonna be so beneficial. So it's it allows better product penetration. Once again, before weddings, that's what I do. I pair it with a hydrofacial. So we're gonna do mechanically and we're gonna do chemical exfoliation. And it's the best of both worlds because some people are like, I thought you weren't allowed to do double exfoliation. I go, that's a lie. It just depends on what you do. You know, you're not gonna do appeal and then do a hydrofacial. No, but dermaplaning comes in there and just allows the skin to just be smoother and just have more of a radiant look to itself. So it is, it's it's another popular thing that I do too. And I I will say with hydrofacial, I pair that a lot. A lot.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I love hydrofacial and derma planing together. The best glow you'll ever see. It's so good.
SPEAKER_00And some people are like, how is this possible? I'm like, once again, it just shows you how much of a stagnant layer that we have that's really not doing anything. And when you're putting products on, depending on the activity of those ingredients, you're not gonna get anywhere. So this is a great way without having chemicals, because you know, some people they get kind of scared with using certain chemicals, but this is a great way, once again, to introduce with a couture facial too, with someone who's never really had a facial. It's just one of those things that's amazing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I always tell everyone like your skin is gonna feel like a baby's bottom. It really is. It's so smooth.
SPEAKER_00It is.
SPEAKER_01Although everyone wants to touch their face right after, and I'm like, don't touch it with your touch or clean face.
SPEAKER_00No, girl, I'm the only one that's allowed to touch you right now. You know, it's only me. Um, but they do, they love it. Once again, I've never had someone even in that element to tell me, like, I hated it. There's just there's just no way you can hate it. There's just benefits to it. Another good thing with derma planing is you can pair it with so much, so many other things, you know. Um, you can do dermaplaning and cryo, dermoplaning and hydrofacial, you know. Um some instances, depending on the peel, you can do that too, depending if it's a more mild, right? Yeah, more of your AHAs is is more of a safe route. But another one I love too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You kind of touched on it, but can you explain the difference between like those little twinkle razors that people use and say they use at home compared to what we use in the treatment room?
SPEAKER_00It's just a different element. The what is it? The surgical blade is like 100% stainless steel. And think about what a surgical blade is meant to do. It's really meant to be used in surgeries to cut people, but in a way that's so precise that it is such a sharp blade that you don't really have to worry with what we called lagging. And then here I am, we're cutting you up, we're slicing and dicing rather than the manufacturing way. Unfortunately, of just like a cheap little twinkle blade is not gonna give you what you need. You're you're not gonna get the right, the right way of eliminating your stratum cornea, you know. It's like, listen, that twinkle thing that was meant for your brows, girl. That was meant for your brows, you know, it's not meant for your full face. So there's a reason why we'll always say you should always see a professional, you know, and I get it. There's someone doing it right now in their house. They're looking and just going at it. But I get those girls, but when they see the element of really truly using a professional surgical blade in the momentum of someone professionally doing it, it's a totally different result you get. So I I try to educate people once again. I I can't knock you for what you do. You know, if that's what you want to do, then that's that's fine. But it's great because even with our facial, it comes with a mask. So when we're stripping your microbiome, now we're gonna go in and we're gonna put some some once again some good ingredients into there. So you're gonna be left with a nice smooth skin, but you're gonna be hydrated. So I try to not be mean to people. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01All we can do is educate them. That's it. Once again, this is the difference. Yeah, take take with it what you will. Absolutely. That's what we're there for. All right, this is one of my personal favorite visuals. Um, fire and ice visuals.
Fire & Ice: Activity Without Downtime
SPEAKER_00Yes, fire and ice. I remember when I first started with Couture and I was like, excuse me, you do fire and ice? I love fire and ice. Fire and ice is so it's just, you know, people get afraid because they're like, fire is my face gonna burn. It's like, well, here's the thing you're gonna feel activity. It's just the way that it is. Um, you're using botanical acids, right? Which I think some of it is like you you almost smell that cinnamon a little bit. Oh, it smells every person comments.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it smells so good, right? Smells like fall.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it does. And it's it's just one of those elements that people love. But you get um, what is it? Uh glycolic, lactic, and your botanical acid.
SPEAKER_01I think it has a tiny bit of retinol in it, too.
SPEAKER_00Retinol, a little, yeah. It's got the retinol in there, which I feel like a combination of those, once again, you activate it with steam. Oh, okay. So it gives you that little bit of intensity. And I'll tell people listen, 60 seconds is all you need. This will start to go away. And really what you're feeling is is just a lot of those acids breaking down, you know, that barrier that we want to get past. So then we can do what we need to do. Fire and ice is great. It's, you know, I've I've dealt with their products for a long time and their protocols. And I get a lot of my girls who, when they super feel stagnant with their skin, they feel dull. You know, that dullness where you're just like, I feel so blah. It's almost like I want someone to punch me just to bring blood flow to my face. Fire and Ice will give you that. And it's nice because you know, you got the fiery part and then you got the ice part. So you got these like, you know, you it's a contraindication, but in a good way.
SPEAKER_01What does the ice part include?
SPEAKER_00The ice part includes a nice cooling mask, right? It has a little bit of a menthol into it. It's got hyaluronic. And then what I like to do is with a nice um, those ice globes. I love them. It's so great. It reduces so much inflammation to the skin. But then once again, it helps with just smoothing texture. I love fire knife when it comes to that. When I think of fire and ice, I think of texture. I think of pore size, and I think even sometimes a little bit of that underlying congestion, you know, when you're not acneic, but you're looking and you're like, why do I look so uneven and bumpy? Oh, that is your skin telling you you need a good form of exfoliating. And fire and ice will do that. It's it's a great way. It's it, I tell people it mimics a chemical peel without the downtime of a chemical peel, which is nice because you can work out afterwards, you can put your makeup on. You're not really hindered with a lot. Rather than if you are gonna be doing microneedling or a chemical peel, there's a little bit of downtime, but that's that's the cost of it. You you already know ahead of time what you're gonna be doing. Yeah. So fire nice is one of those two. I still get my a lot of my OG girls that every month are like fire and ice, fire and ice, and I love it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I love fire and ice because for me, it's the I don't want to say the one, but it's one of the facials that's probably also the most relaxing because it involves a lot of hands-on touch. So when I get those clients that I know, yes, they want a good resurfacing treatment, they want something, some change in their skin, but they I know the one, I know my ones that love to relax. Like I want to be touched. They want you to massage them. Fire nice is my goodness.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I like it too because like, well, mask is included into it. Yeah, but I I have noticed with people, like if you're getting a facial, you just want to be touched.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Right. Meanwhile, the ones that already know what time it is when they come in for the micronatal ain and stuff, you ain't gonna be touched. Yeah, you know, it's a little bit spread in a different way, you know. Um, but once again, fire and ice is just one of those that I don't think will ever go away for us. No, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's a staple.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
Cryofacials: Circulation, Calm, and Lift
SPEAKER_01So something that's a little bit new to Katoire, we've only been offering these for since January. Yeah. Um, so our cryofacials. Um, so what are some cryofacials and how are they a little bit different and unique from anything else that we offer?
SPEAKER_00You're thinking of temperature. You know, the body does some crazy things when you're under extreme temperatures, whether it's super hot or super cold. But what a great way to say, hey, we're gonna use extreme coldness to dilate your blood vessels and make you have a better blood flow. Because a better blood flow brings so much other benefits to you and increases oxygen. And oxygen is so good for the cells. That's why you hear all these facials about oxygenated facial, oxygenated mask. Cryo does that. And you can manipulate it to do a lot of different things too, whether it's you want to contour the face, you want to do a lot of tightening and lifting, um, you want to diminish pore size, you want to hone in on fat cells. So, which we'll probably get into that. But with the cryofacial, it's so nice. Every girl that's come in, we use a fermion peptide that goes along with it, which is a great conductor to allow to reach a certain temperature to stay there and get those results. So, once again, even like my super older women who once again, you know, blood flow might not be at its prime for them. This is gonna really allow for that. Um, and they love that too. I have done cryos right before, which is even nice too, before uh a wedding, because there's not that contraindication of this downtime or being like, oh my gosh, she was so red. Like, this is totally different. You have a little bit of rosacea, you've got some cooperal skin. What's cooperal skin? You know, blood vessels that are not doing anything, they're dead, they're gone. So let's make sure the ones that you do have or your body's creating is that we want to get that blood flow going through there. And and cryofacial will do that. So, once again, a lot of benefits with the cryofacial. It's it's a win-win, you know, not a lot of contraindications with that, which I like. It's it's it's one of those that's safe with giving you your quality benefits of it as well.
Cryo Body Contouring and Results
SPEAKER_01So you slightly mentioned it. So while we're yeah, on on the uh topic of cryo, um, not face related, but we also do um body contouring with our cryotherapy. So if you can go dive into a little bit more of that part of it.
SPEAKER_00Body is fun too. Cause then, like, yay, I get to see my body contouring member girl. I know it switches it up for us. It is nice. It's great because it's like, and once again, I get to see some guys and girls that uh maybe are not in a certain tiered membership where they get their facials. Um I love, I love it. It's it's nice. You're honing in on an area, which we can do multiple areas. Some people are like, I want the back of my thighs because of cellulite, or I want my buttocks, once again, for cellulite, um, arms, chin, stomach, flanks. There's so many different areas, but you're honing in once again on a certain pattern. You're gonna go in with extreme low temperatures, and you're taking these fat cells and putting them to a stage called apoptosis, where you're undergoing natural cell death. That's pretty much what it is. You're killing off these cells. If you've ever heard of true sculpt, no, is it not true sculpt? Um, cool sculpting. Cool sculpting. It's the same concept. Um you're you're wanting to get a certain amount of fat cells that want to go into apoptosis. So then what your body does is it takes all these dead fat cells, put it into lymphatic, and really starts to work through the body for you. And I'll tell people you're gonna urinate all this stuff out without really noticing it. It will take, it can take weeks or months, depending on the person, right? If there's someone that maybe doesn't really work out too much or they just don't work out a lot a lot, then I'll say you it might take you a little longer. But the results that we've gotten from it has been phenomenal. And it's nice because now you get it into your body contouring, which I get a girl who who flies all the way from Louisiana to come in to do her M sculpt and her vanquish and her her cryo, and she loves it. I mean, she's willing to take a flight once a month to come here to do that. Um, so it's just a nice little extra element of giving you the results you need with already doing those other two, which is your vanquish and your M sculpt. So I'll always say it. I love body contouring. Probably the most popular is stomach and thighs, right? Stomach and thighs. And you know, flanks too, but really those people are like, oh my God, I'm seeing results. It's so awesome. Because you're already taking initiative, right? Once again, I tell people like, hey, listen, you can't come in and do your cryo and need a and eat a burger later. Better be a veggie burger, you know, with no bun, you know. So they really do take that extra initiative. And I felt I do feel I'm so happy. I love the cryo treatments that we have, and it gives a little extra push.
Chemical Peels: Depth, Seasons, and Results
SPEAKER_01Okay, so one of another, well, they're all our favorites, but I I always say Cynthia's my peel girl.
SPEAKER_00So man.
SPEAKER_01Chemical peels.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01So yes, break down why chemical peels are so effective and why I know you love chemical peels.
SPEAKER_00Gosh, they've been around for so long.
SPEAKER_01They're tried and true.
SPEAKER_00They really are, and and they're not going anywhere.
SPEAKER_01They won't.
SPEAKER_00You know, if you have a skincare company and you don't incorporate a peel, who are you? Get out of here, get out, just go. I love it. Remember, I'm like a TCA girl all the way. Cynthia.
SPEAKER_01She loves when I say Cynthia loves her appeal, she loves her appeal.
SPEAKER_00I was like, Yeah, I want you to come out, and I'm like, my goal is for you to have five days of peeling down time. Like, seriously. But we have other elements too, because not everyone can deal with that. And no, no, there's only some of my people who know about a true, you know, like resourcinol TCA peel, but we have some other great peels too. Our aluminizing peel is so wonderful. Uh the illuminizing peel has what resortinol, glycolic. You know, I almost call it like a gessner, a modified gessner.
SPEAKER_01It's very similar to that. It's a good mix.
SPEAKER_00So fabulous. Like, why have just one element of an acid when you can have multiple that are gonna target multiple depths of skin and do certain things? And they all work with each other. One's texture, one's brightening, you know, one's hydration. And so all of those play a big role. Um, are I'm getting into the season now where a lot of people are talking about peel. Summertime is a little stagnant, right? Everyone's going to the beach, they're out with their kids, they're doing cruises and vacations and picnics and theme parks. They don't want that. And that's fine. So I tell them, listen, when you're ready, we're gonna do it. And it's not sometimes just one, like you want a set of three. It's almost like once microneedling is kind of the same concept, but it's nice because they're still with us. And if they just want to do one peel, nine times out of ten, they're gonna do another one. So I do love peels in that sense, and it's more of a targeted treatment. So if you're coming in looking for like that massaging part of it, you're not getting it. You, you know, you're in here to do a certain targeted treatment. This is the protocol. Your results are gonna be to your liking. Um, and I love it because once again, for me, I almost feels like it mimics a fractional in a way. Kind of gets in there so deep where you just want to crawl through all these different layers and just do what it wants to do. And what a great way to stimulate collagen. It's like appeal is one of those things for me. I feel like it helps so much with collagen and that elastin synthesis, which A lot of people don't know elastin is very hard to build, and when you build it, to know how your body can stack it is the most important thing. And so chemical peels is one of those things, too, that I will always educate people on and say, don't be afraid. And guess what? We have enough to do your neck. Oh my god, who doesn't want to do that? Bring it down. Like, don't you want that? Um it's a little bit more educating people, but once they get into it, they they already know what they want for the year. They'll be like, okay, in November, I'm gonna do this, and then January, I'm gonna do this, and they're ready to go. So peels is one of those things too. And people are like, you do peels. It's like, honey, yes. Are you kidding me? Like, if there's a spot that does not peel that does not do peels, I that's very highly questionable. Like, you should be once again, confidence, knowing your knowing your ingredients, knowing what they do, and feeling confident to apply and manipulate something that will give that person that that result they want.
SPEAKER_01All right, last one microneedling. So obviously it's one of our most advanced treatments. So explain to anyone who doesn't know what microneedling is, what it is, yeah, what that treatment looks like, and why we all are obsessed with it.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. I remember when we first brought microneedling in. And it was a while, too, because it could be once again intimidating. You know, for a while, it's like, are people gonna like want to do this? Oh, I know I probably say that about every single treatment, but there is nothing more in my life that I love more than microneedling. I will say microneedling is tiered right with me with hydrofacial, but on a totally different realm, right? Someone wants to feel nice and clean and get these, you know, good glowing results. Microneedaline, you come in and we get the job done. It is, and and it's once again, it's so great because it's not like a CO2 where you're doing a CO2 and you've got, you know, four to six weeks downtime where you can't even touch a laser. You can't even touch a laser. This allows you to still utilize your membership at the same time. It's not like, well, you did your micronataline and now you're not gonna be able to do any of the lasers. No, it's it is a part of uh an incentive of what you're wanting to build. And nine times out of 10, I mean, it does everything. If you take hydrofacial germoplaning, chemical peel, and like cryo and put it together in a fractional, you get microneedaline. You literally get microneedaline. Once again, no chemicals we do, we do use whether someone wants to do the hyaluronic, nine times out of ten, I get someone that does the exosomes. But it's a mechanical treatment, right? So nine times out of ten, everyone's a candidate for it. Unless someone comes in and they're like super active acne, then I'll say, hey, listen, let's get this under control and then we're gonna go and we're gonna do this microneedling. You've got a pen, which we use skin pen, it's the crumb of the crumb. I mean, microne uh well, skin pen was like one of the most it's the founding father of microneedling, isn't it? The first FDA-approved device. Yeah, and anybody else that builds this company um where they're doing microneedling, they're going based on their studies. So I have used skin pen for a long time, and their pens just get better and better. They are so accurate. You've got like you got 12 needles. I mean, these needles are sharp, right? They're sterile needles that come in and you're gauging a certain millimeter on the skin, and every quadrant of the face is a little different. So you're you're customizing it for that patient, whether they have, I get, I can't tell you, melasma. Melasma is one of those things where if I go to a skincare convention and I'm signing up for let's how to treat melasma. I can't, I can't tell you how many doctors and surgeons and derms there are in there because there is no one cure for melasma. And I feel like since bringing in microneedling, it has changed the course of the way people see their results so dramatically. I mean, I have some girls that I'm like, I just want to post your pictures everywhere, everywhere, you know. But it's wonderful, you're gauging these needles and you're creating trauma. So when I tell people, listen, when you're doing laser, you've got a red light. Red light is the deepest driving light, and you're going deep down in your subcutaneous. This is where all your good stuff is. Your DNA is formed, where you're building collagen and elastin, where your amino chains for your peptides are being chained and built together. And you're you're going in and you're you're creating trauma, but you're doing it with heat, right? So then some people don't take that very well, but most of the time they they'll they'll take it pretty good. It's just they they hate some of the downtime, but they love the results. They're willing to do it over and over. Microneedling is nice because now everyone's a candidate, no matter what Fitzpatrick scale you are, creating trauma physically. So it's like, you know, you cut yourself, and then in a week you're you, you know, your body's already going into repair mode. So I'll tell the girls, they're like, why does my skin feel so tight? I'm like, honey, that is your body already going into a repair mode. You are gonna make so much beautiful collagen and elastin and proteins, and on top of that, using exosomes to give you the best results you can is unbelievable. But physically creating trauma. And I get to do that myself. So if someone's focused on melasma, I'm focusing on a certain millimeter and engaging in those certain areas. And it's nice because certain lasers you can't really hit right under the eyes. You can do eyelids if you want to. You can do right under the eyes where certain lasers is very questionable. Protocol is you can't really hit in certain areas. So I love microneedling in that sense where you I can, I have control. I have control and I can really give that person what they need, right? Or if they do their neck and their lines, like, guess what? We're gonna do stamping and we're gonna annihilate those deep lines. So it is my number one. Out of all of that, I will say microneedling is the number one treatment for me, paired with everything else. Like, if I see you and you have certain things and I've been with you for a couple of years now, you're not doing microneedling, I'm gonna bother you every month about it, you know, until they do.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00So it's it's been such a great add-on to our business and our clientele. Like, they will literally, when our specials go on, they're like, I'm gonna buy 16 of them. I'm like, well, you can't buy 16, but you can bank them. Yeah, and then I'll see you when you're ready. So, yes, micranealine.
unknownNumber one.
Homecare: 80/20 Rule and Actives
SPEAKER_01Number one as well. I love it. Yes, they're always yes. All right, so our in-office treatments are amazing, but home care really makes those results last longer. And I'm going to talk a little bit about why home care is so important, why the products that we carry that we carry, and and yeah, why why they make such a difference. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Educating, right? Once again. And I tell people, listen, I'm not hating on number seven. I'm not hating on a lot of these products. But when you come in here, 20% is what we do, and the other 80% is what you do at home. I'm not gonna see you now for another what, three, four weeks. So I I'm not there to coddle you. But here's the thing if you want certain results, you're gonna have to use certain ingredients. And that calls for certain products. So when you're which I didn't know this for a long time, but let's say you go to Walm, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, FDA approves for a certain amount of activity to go into those products. Meaning, if you've got a bottle, only three to four percent can be active ingredients. Anything from there is more pharmaceutical. And now you're gonna need certain elements to sell those products. So all of our products are the percentage of active ingredients, is like even our TNS. RTNS, girl, you know, when we brought TNS, people were like, um, excuse me, it's expensive, but they will literally save their last penny to buy some of these products. But active ingredients and the quality, you know, you got a hyaluronic. If it's not in a form of an of a smaller molecular structure, it is literally sitting on your face doing anything nothing. Might give you a little glow for a little while, but then that's it. You know, same thing with vitamin C. You can go to any store, but I tell people here's the thing: turn the bottle around and look at the ingredients. If it's not in a certain molecular structure, your body's not gonna take it and do what it needs to do. It doesn't know what it is. So it's just gonna go through your lymphatic and just, you know, peep, peep, bye bye. So certain forms of molecular structure are gonna do what it needs to do. Think about these little tiny ingredients that need to go in and like swim through different layers of skin to reach where it needs to. It and a lot of them are just weak. So you have to know what you're gonna put on. So it's really important topically what you put on and consistently. Like it has to be consistently because if not, yeah, you might get some good results. But imagine if you were doing it day and night and it doesn't take that much. Like once you have your regimen and you know what you're doing with us, it's so quick. I mean, we have patients that have been with us for 13, 12 years, 12 years since day one, since Couture opened its doors. And whatever you tell them, they're gonna listen to you because it's always been consistently giving you what we tell you you're gonna get. So we're not gonna lie to you. So 80% of what you do is up to you. The other 20% is us assisting you in these treatments. I'll go back to the Ferrari. You want to buy a nice car? You have to maintenance that car, you have to put an oil change into it every so often. You have to maintain what you're doing. And it's like, then why are you getting this membership? I get it. You want to see me. I love you, you love me. But let me give you something more. I'm not someone that pushes a lot of product, but I do educate. And if that means I am, I'm sorry. But I'm educating you, and if I don't, I'm doing a disservice to you. So once again, and I will say it 80% of what you do is all up to you. And the other percent is we only can manipulate so much. So when I see someone, I'm like, I'm so proud of you. Like, because we can only do so much, then we don't see you again. So you have been doing so good. This is how you love and take care of yourself is by being consistent and taking that time away to wash your face and do, you know, a nice skincare regimen that you truly believe in. What are some of your personal favorite products? My number one. I actually did this four weeks ago. I stopped using TNS. And boy, would it make a big difference in my skin? Because I was like, you know what? I'm gonna stop for just a minute. And I'll tell some of the patients who they're like, well, I don't know if I'm seeing like I don't know if it's really doing much of a difference. I go, well, here's the thing, then just stop. Don't use it. And give yourself a couple weeks though, because you know, any new product, it takes about 90 days for you, for you to really start seeing the results that you need. 60 to 90 days, I tell people. TNS is one of those things. I'm like four weeks and I did it. I did it. I just started this week again. Uh see TNS is my holy grail.
SPEAKER_01So, for anyone who doesn't know, what is the TNS?
TNS, Exosomes, and Product Wins
SPEAKER_00TNS is by Skin Medica. It's been around now, what, 20 plus years? I think they reformulated it two, three years ago. Yeah. Before it was like, I forget what it was. So TNS is you've got two different chambers. One chamber is coming out with exosomes. It's exosomes, right? What are exosomes? They're just live, well, they're vasculars, vascular that are derived from bone marrow and stem cell. And bone marrow is gonna be derived from a group of women, right? So they never derive it from men, which I really don't know the scientific thing about that, but you're deriving it same like exosomes, if we're gonna do with microneedling. And then, you know, some people get freaked out. I'm like, listen, this is not a live baby here. You're not gonna hear a baby cry when you pump this bottle. But, you know, you've got these live cells that are coming in and helping your cells regenerate on its DNA molecular structure because we're always synthesizing new skin cells. Once again, skin renewal is really important. That's how we have radiant skin. But TNS is one of those things that's just amazing. Once again, you pair it with everything. It's not like, well, I'm using vitamin C and I can't use it. It's like, no, you're gonna use it for everything. I think the only thing I'll tell people wait 30 minutes is your retinol, right? So our tretinoins where we, you know, prescribe, and then we have our retinols. But the day you use a retinol, you'll skip that night. It is absolutely unbelievable. The integrity of how Skin Medica made this. I mean, I think it's one like 10 years straight in a row for the best exosome product ever. And they can formulate. I mean, they have these factories that like I tell people, I'm like, don't forget they make Botox, they make your fillers. I mean, these are top-of-the-line laboratories that are giving you these ingredients that I mean, it surpasses anything. I mean, talk about live active ingredients into it. And it's nice because it's, it's, it's, it's combined with a chamber of you know, your antioxidants and your peptides, which marry once again together so well with each other. So TNS all the way. Everything else, I love to. I mean, I use everything. I use it all. You know, we we that's what we do. We use all of it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, for sure.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um, well, okay, so last question. Yeah. Well, actually, you kind of already answered this one. What was it? If you had to pick your personal favorite treatment. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_00Microneedling. Microneedling. All the way. Microneedling and with exosomes. Yeah. Because, and that's this is the last thing I'm going to bring up. But when people are like, I love PRP, it's like, and I'm not trying to diss you. But if you're at a certain age bracket, how good of quality is your plasma? Yep. And I get it, it's this recognizable structure that your body can take and do what it needs to do. But once again, there's a reason why stem cells are derived from babies, right? Umbilical core, the amniotic sac and fluid and step and bone marrow. There's a reason there's an age bracket for it. It's at its prepulteration. Yeah. Imagine a little kid cutting himself. I mean, I swear in two days, it's gone. It's gone. So you can do PRP and I love it, but remember how good is the quality of your plasma, you know, and with the price bracket of it, it's like for your exosomes, you can't beat it. I feel like our prices are so within the realm of reach for so many people who never in their life thought they can do this. You know, I mean, how much is Amorpheus? It's like a grand of treatment. Yeah. When, you know, what are you doing with Morpheus? You're doing fractional, or you're doing microneedling and you're setting a current of radio frequency. But you should really be, you know, comfortable in what you're doing with that because you can do a lot more damage. So we've made it so much more acceptable and reachable for people that never thought they can get these treatments.
unknownI love it.
SPEAKER_01I'm with you. I love it. My favorite thing is to hear people say, like, oh, I've priced this out at other places before and I've never been able to do this. So to know that we can help people achieve their goals and not have to take out a loan to do it.
Favorite Treatments and PRP vs Exosomes
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, seriously. It's amazing. Listen, I I've been a laser tech for a long time. We were financing you for a full body laser hair removal and it was$10,000.$10,000 to do full body laser hair removal. And now it's it's we've we've gotten so much better with that because it's so much uh you know, accessibility to it now. So it's just gonna get better and better.
SPEAKER_01It is. And who knows? We're gonna keep adding more and more things, more treatments. Like we've talked about. There's always something new, there's always something coming out, and Katura is always staying on top of.
SPEAKER_00Oh, Lindsay is always staying on top of it. You stop it. You're like, Diane, I love this. Can we put it in?
SPEAKER_01I mean, you try. Yeah, and I always tell I always tell all my aestheticians like, if you guys hear of anything or know of anything, well, you get to it before I do.
SPEAKER_00I'm so busy. You keep me busy, but I don't have time to look at other things. Okay. I love that. So, yes, I thank you for that.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_01Well, thank you, Cynthia, for all of your insight on all of our amazing services that we offer. All right, we're gonna do another quick little rapid fire. Yeah, get to know Cynthia's favorites. Yeah, all right. Lip gloss or lipstick? Lip gloss.
SPEAKER_00Sheet mask or clay mask? Oh, sheet mask for sure. Maybe back in the day it was clay mask, but not anymore. I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm older now. So sheet mask.
SPEAKER_01Gold or silver jewelry.
SPEAKER_00Oh, gold. Heels or sneakers, sneakers all the way. Beach day or spa day. Oh my god, you're gonna hate me. Because I know you. You're like, no, it's so sandy. Beach, grandma, because I can do all my stuff I want at home. Are you kidding me? You know I hate the sand. I know. I was like, I've never met a girl that hates the beach, but she's so that that was born and raised in Florida. Yeah, like you are true Floridian, but I have to say Beach Day because I can do everything I want to myself. That is true. So yeah, you know, beach day for sure.
SPEAKER_01All right, Cynthia. Well, thank you so much for walking us through all of the incredible spa services that we offer at Couture and for sharing your favorite personal skincare products and tips with us.
