What if “I’m too young for that” is the one belief aging your skin faster than time? We pull back the curtain on preventative skincare and aesthetics, showing how small, consistent steps today make a massive difference in texture, tone, and confidence tomorrow. With Lindsay hosting alongside Daimie and Claudia from Couture Med Med, we explore real routines, honest results, and practical ways to start without overwhelm or sticker shock.
We break down the simplest, most effective foundation: a gentle cleanser, daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, and one purposeful active. From there, we map approachable treatment paths that build results without big downtime. Think signature facials and HydraFacial for congestion and glow, chemical peels to even tone, and SkinPen microneedling to smooth acne scars and pores. Claudia shares her shift from tanning beds and harsh drugstore cleansers to a calm, consistent routine that finally cleared breakouts and softened texture, proving consistency beats intensity.
Curious about neurotoxins? We explain why light Botox or Dysport can prevent expression lines from settling, how a lip flip adds shape without filler, and why personal preference matters—some love Dysport’s quick onset, others prefer Botox’s feel. We also dive into lasers: IPL for sun spots, redness, and acne discoloration, and fractional resurfacing to build collagen and refine texture. Living in a sunny climate like Florida? We talk timing, sunscreen, and realistic expectations so your results last.
Whether you’re 21 or 61, there’s always a smart place to start. Begin with skincare, try a facial, consider IPL, and add microneedling or a conservative neurotoxin plan when you’re ready. Prevention is easier than correction, and pairing treatments with the right products stretches every result. Subscribe, share this with a friend who says they’re “too young,” and leave a review telling us the one change you’ll make this week.
Why Start Before You See Aging
SPEAKER_01Welcome back to Kotura Conversations. Today we're talking about something we hear all the time in the skincare and aesthetics world. Saying people saying, I don't need to do that yet, or I'm too young for that treatment. But we're here to shift that mindset because preventative skincare and aesthetic treatments are not about fixing something that's wrong, but they're about maintaining skin health long term. I'm your host, Lindsay, lead aesthetician here at Kutor Medspa, and I am joined by Damie, one of our aestheticians at our Obedito locations, and Claudia, our practice administrator, who has also had our own personal skincare journey that she's going to share with today. So welcome Claudia and Damie.
SPEAKER_02Hi.
SPEAKER_01Are you excited?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so excited.
SPEAKER_01Alright, so let's start with the big question. Why do we encourage people to start their skincare treatments before seeing visible signs of aging?
SPEAKER_02I think mostly because it's harder to fix something when it's already popped up rather than preventing it. Um, for example, like age spots or spine lines, wrinkles, even like acne scarring while you're going through an acne journey, just kind of taking like those extra steps so that way you don't maybe have scars in the future, or if like I'm 24 and I still do my retinol, my tretinoin, and stuff, just because in the future I don't want to have those spine lines, wrinkles, pores. Um, so I think it's better to prevent something than go and correct it.
SPEAKER_01Claudia, what would you say as far as someone who so Damie is our esthetician coming from more of the um like she's in the treatment room seeing clients all day? What do you see as far as clients coming in? Um, do you see a trend of younger clients or do you get a lot of clients still that are like, oh, I don't need to do that yet? What is what does that trend look like in?
SPEAKER_00Definitely a lot of clients that are younger that don't think they need it. I feel like especially being around like UCF, like so close to like a college, they're like, no, like I don't need sunscreen, I don't need this or that. So I feel like that's definitely like a struggle in that area of where the younger clients don't think that they need it.
SPEAKER_01Do you ever hear older clients be like, man, I wish I would have started younger?
SPEAKER_00All the time, every single day. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So what would you say? Are there any common misconceptions about starting early?
SPEAKER_02I think that they're gonna um get used to it. That's like the the first one that they say, like, oh, I'm gonna get used to it, or like it won't work for me now in like 10 years, especially like if they're doing like an injectable or something too. Um, but they're always like, Oh, well, it it won't work for me if I if I use it all the time. Like, actually, no, like it's still gonna work. Um, and there's different protocols when we're preventing something rather than going and correcting something.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, or that if they start now, it's gonna look bad like in the future. Like they think they have to wait until like they actually need it.
Simple Preventative Routines For Beginners
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So, what would be some of your day meets? So you're more in like the treatment room, or you get a client for the first time, say they're coming in and they're getting a free facial. Um, and like you said, you guys work near UCF, which if you guys anyone doesn't know UCF is one of the colleges here in Central Florida. So they do tend to get a lot of younger clients, they get more of that younger clientele. Um, sometimes we do get that little like free facial points and stuff, so they might see some of those girls coming in. Or for those, what's something that you would talk through them, you know, as far as someone being like, Oh, I don't need to do that yet? What's kind of a good, easy, like simple start of getting into preventative skincare?
SPEAKER_02I say I kind of ask them first, what's your skincare like now? Like, what are you using now to kind of gauge like what they're at and what they kind of want to do? Um, and I think preventative kind of like okay, what kind of type of cleanser are we using? I always kind of start them on like a cleanser and definitely a sunscreen, and um also like an exfoliating cleanser because that makes such a big difference. And I feel like for us, it's the exfoliating cleanser um is like the gateway, they see such a big difference, like their skin's gonna look so much brighter, um, the texture is gonna be so much smoother, and they're like, Oh, this is something that I'm using now, then what else can I be using? And it's only gonna work more. I think that's a good one kind of asking like their skincare routine.
SPEAKER_01So, what did Claudia? What when you first started at Couture, did you have a skincare routine?
SPEAKER_00No, I used clean and clear face wash, and that was it. So burned my skin. I thought that was so good. I was like, it's burning all the acne. It's burning, right? Gosh, imagine leaving her friend and acne. No moisture answer, no sunscreen, no nothing. Just face wash.
SPEAKER_01So we'll go into your full like journey in a little bit, but what what did you when you first started working at Kutort, what was there anything that kind of changed your mindset to be like, okay, maybe I should start doing something?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um they would always make me do a VIZIA. That was so embarrassing. I was like, okay, I have to do something to change this.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I'll stop you real quick. So for anyone who doesn't know, can you explain what Vizia is?
SPEAKER_00It's a deep skin analysis. Um, it kind of takes a deeper look into your skin um and then rates you on a couple different things like sun damage, spots, wrinkles.
SPEAKER_01Um so what do you remember what your um what your number was?
SPEAKER_00I was like what 20 or 21 when I started, and my true skin age was probably like 25 or 26. And I was like, oh wow, that's embarrassing.
SPEAKER_01So we were working on correction at that point.
SPEAKER_00They would always make me anytime someone knew came, I would be the one that they would like train on. I'm like, oh perfect.
SPEAKER_01What was the um what was like the first thing you started on? Did you start with skincare or did you jump right into like lasers and stuff?
SPEAKER_00Um, I feel like I started with skincare. I was too scared to do the lasers at first. Um and then like facials too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So Damie, for someone who because I feel like a lot of people do, yeah, jumping right into lasers for a lot of people is very intimidating. And that I feel like is where you definitely get more of the people that are like, oh, I don't need to do that yet. Like I'm not, I'm not ready for lasers. Um when you see someone Damien, what are some kind of what's a what are some good facials that you recommend for for clients who are just starting out?
Claudia’s Skin Reality Check With Vizia
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so always our couture facial is just our staring at your facial, and it kind of gives me a look into what I'm dealing with and um where the clients at and what they do, then I always kind of see from there what they're willing to do too. So if it's more someone like struggling with acne um or just congested skin, always like hydrofacial. Um, I love people coming and do like fire and ice too because it's kind of like a way that it's more corrective, but they also get like that spa side. Um, and then it depending on their commitment level, then I'm like, okay, well, we're gonna do skin pen, we're gonna do chemical peels. So it's really kind of like where the clients at, um, but I always start with like our couture or signature facial because it's like okay, this is something that's relaxing, but they know it's still gonna work every day because it's still like a really good deep cleanse. I think that's a good one. Did you start getting facial?
SPEAKER_00I did, yeah. Um I feel like we started with like hydrofacials. Yeah. I just feel so clean afterwards, and I really struggle with like blackheads and stuff, like my nose and my chin, like that would always help with that.
SPEAKER_01Get all that congestion, yeah, yeah. Those are always really good. So, do you feel like as far as someone coming into couture, what would be just because we do offer so many things there, um, you know, we have different membership options, different things, what would be a go-to like start for someone coming in? More of not coming from like an esthetician side saying they should do that, but if someone was coming into couture and they really say they're just coming in to see what we're doing there, um, what what would be a good starting point for someone, you think? For like just in general, like if someone is wanting, they're like, okay, maybe I should start with some maintenance. I should start. Um, what what would be a good starting point for someone?
SPEAKER_00I feel like facials and skincare, especially if they're younger, that's probably like the easiest thing to get them on. And then I feel like from there it's kind of easier to get them to do like lasers or like skin pen and stuff like that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or even like enhanced, I think, too, because you're really starting off with one laser. You're getting, you're looking at the you know, you're meeting with the provider too, and they're always gonna recommend something skincare wise. So you're kind of getting like that little laser portion, and then you're gonna get recommended skincare, and then you could always like add on a facial, and then they're like, Oh, wait, well, like I want to add on a facial, or we do so many like sign up for membership and like try some some of our other services. So they always want to try a facial and then they love it, and then they're like, Okay, wait, well, then I want to do empower, I want to laser my whole body, and then I want all the skincare. So I think enhance is a really good thing, too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it just kind of allows everyone to like grow with what we have. Yeah, so Claudia, we'll get into your skin journey. So tell us a little bit about before you started working at Couture, even before when have you always struggled with skin problems, or kind of what was your journey like before you started at Couture?
SPEAKER_00I probably started breaking out and having like a lot of acne when I was like 11, 12, like middle school. Um, and then I did Accutane my freshman year of high school, and then like I stopped it, and then like all the acne came back, so like that didn't really help me. And then I didn't I like never really had like a skincare, like my mom was into like skincare or anything, so like all I knew was to like wash my face like at night with like probably like the cheapest face wash I could find. So that's really all I did until I was 21. I started at Couture. Um, but yeah, before Couture I had like no sort of skincare or anything. I would go to the beach because I knew like if I like laid out in the sun, like fry all my acne off, like no sunscreen, no nothing. I was like, Yeah, this will work. Like, this is perfect.
From Facials To Peels To SkinPen
SPEAKER_01A lot of people have that misconception too. I'm glad you said something about that about the sun, because a lot of people will be like, oh, when I go out in the sun, and or if I go to the tanning bed, it it clears me up. Yeah, and it's like at a certain point in the beginning, yeah, it'll kind of it's gonna take all that oil that's there and dry it up, but in the long term, it's gonna make that skin health even worse. It's gonna cause that to come back even worse. Um, so yeah, I do hear that misconception a lot. I'm like, oh I just go out in the sun and I can't.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, when I started at Kato, I had a tanning bed membership, and Damien was one that was like, You have got to cancel that. Like, please stop. My skin was like so red, like it was so bad. So yeah, I canceled that.
SPEAKER_01So then take us through at Katour. What has that journey looked like for you? What treatments have you done? What products have you been using? What are all your things?
SPEAKER_00So when I started at Couture, I feel like I was right when we like brought Tritonoin in. And then I started using Tritinoin, and that did help. Um, but it would just like dry me out too much. So then um after that, I feel like when I started doing skin pen. I feel like right when we brought it in, you started to do skin pen. I would do hydrofacials and stuff a lot with Damien before we had skin pen, and then once we got skin pen, she convinced me to do it. And I feel like that's what like now like my acne has like cleared up pretty much. Um, but I saw like scarring and stuff, so I feel like that is what has made like the biggest difference is skin pen. Even peels. We did a lot of skin.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, oh my gosh, we did a lot of peels. And especially when we brought on um even like the Avaji ones and like had Citrain on them, she loved it because she kind of likes, I think she likes that feeling of like it's burning our skin, it's working.
SPEAKER_01So I feel like okay, that thumbs up.
SPEAKER_02So I was like, Okay, this is perfect for her because she likes that feeling. So I think that's also too how we like maintain the acne um with chemical peels too, and just uh like at-home skincare. Yeah, and then once we got rid of the acne, then skin done.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, should we make it like an actual face wash? Clean and cleaners like using neutrinos. I was like, I don't know what she's talking about, it works.
SPEAKER_02Like, look hard at the moment you're obsessed with a neutrinoma, like in the water moisturizer.
SPEAKER_01No, is it the hydropost? Yes, that's my favorite, so that's a bright tangent on this one, real quick. But that's my favorite one to always kind of tell clients like, is it the worst product out there? No, but when you talk about like so their biggest claim, like there um is that it has it's hyaluronic acid. It's hyaluronic acid's gonna be everywhere. And if you look at the back of it was their um, I think it was the water burst moisturizer, but if you look at the back of the label, like with the ingredients, the very last ingredient in it is hyaluronic acid, which means it has like less than like one percent in there, but they swear by it that it's gonna be the most hydrating thing you can ever use on the side.
SPEAKER_00I need to burn my skin to another genetic.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so now since we're off of the Neutrogena, what does your current skincare routine look like? What are you using?
SPEAKER_00I recently started using the um R self cleanser, and then I What do you love about that one? I love that like it doesn't have like a smell. Like I anything with the smell I cannot do. So I love that. This like there's no fragrance. I love that it gets like soapy. I like I like some of that foams. I don't like just like a gel cleanser. So I like that it foams. Um and I just feel really like clean after using it. I feel like I don't need to like wash my face like twice when I use it. Um and then I use a toner after um I used to use the porn therapy when we had it. Um and then I just use the TNS serum, no, the which one? Serum treatment. Is that the other one? Yeah, yeah, so I use that morning and night. And then sunscreen, the tinted sunscreen every day. Yeah, I keep it pretty basic, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01And that's I think a lot of people do sometimes overcomplicate their skincare, and that's is sometimes why we tend to get more red, more irritated, and breakouts because our skin is like what we do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think I'm so sensitive. Like if I use like more than like three or four products, like my skin is either burning or I I have a breakout.
SPEAKER_01What results have you seen from doing microneedling?
SPEAKER_00Way less scarring. I feel like not as many like pores, like I feel like my texture just used to be so bad. Like, even after my acne cleared up, I just still had a lot of texture. So that's definitely changed a lot. Um, I feel like my redness has gotten better too. Yeah, I'm not as red as I was before.
SPEAKER_02Um and then I think just overall, yeah, like her complexion too, a lot more even, healthier skin. Yeah, that's what I noticed with mine. Like your skin just looks healthier, like even glassy. Like after you do skin pen, like a little glassy like the next day. I think that's like the most the part that I want to see. Yeah, uh, sometimes face is so like reflection, and I just love it.
SPEAKER_00You probably have to like I kind of like like how like red it is like see, I don't know why she likes that.
SPEAKER_02Brings her back to her burning her face off.
The Sun, Tanning Beds, And Acne
SPEAKER_01So on the um other end of it, I feel like a lot of people too feel like they are too young to start neurotoxins. So, do both of you either of you do neurotoxins? Yes, we do. So, which ones, what's your go-to?
SPEAKER_02So I love Discord, and I think I started doing Discord when I was 21 or 22, and I think I I started light though. I just really did my forehead like in between my eyebrows. Um, now that I know more, and it's not just for me either about like preventative, also just overall like aesthetic. I do like my full face Discord, but even I remember yesterday, like we had a client, they're like, Yeah, I just wanted some like baby Botox, like you know, I'm she think she was like 28 or 29. She's like, I don't think I need like need it right now. And I think somebody was like, Yeah, I was just kind of like explaining to her, like it is a good time to start now, just kind of doing like that full one because we don't want those lines to come in, like three or 11s in between your eyebrows. I think that was like the thing she was most worried about. Um, and it's not gonna last as long. So I think people are scared that they're gonna, especially with like a neurotoxin, that they're gonna look like plastic and fake, but it's really not like I know I could tell a difference when I don't have my Botox or my Discord when with my movement coming back, but I think they're scared that they're gonna be like frozen, frozen, frozen. I don't think that's objective. I think we're just trying to treat the areas and make the client feel comfortable, but obviously we don't want to make the client feel uncomfortable and step out of bounds, but yeah, I when I tell clients I start doing Botox when they're like, You're a baby. I'm like, Yeah, you don't need that. I'm like, but I'm sorry. Well, I'm like, okay, when when you see me when I'm 50, or like you don't even have any movement, I'm like, yeah, because I do it.
SPEAKER_00That's my favorite.
SPEAKER_01People are like, you don't even look like you need it.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, yeah, yeah. Really? Especially in three months to have a fun.
SPEAKER_01So when you say full face boat, where all do you get what areas do you get? I do my forehead, my glabella.
SPEAKER_02Um, I'm actually good. I don't have to do my crows right now. Thank you, thanks to Ness eye cream. Um and then I do like in between, like my bunny scrunch. What else? Lip flip, lip flip, vlog lip flip, gummy smile, master, everything. Did you like master? Do you like master? I like it, but I don't I do it more aesthetic because like the facial slimming, not because I have like the jaw problem. Um, but I like it more aesthetic. Well, I say like my bunnies. I feel like it makes my nose like a little bit like smaller. I don't know. It could just be in my head, but I feel like you have a cute nose, so what is it?
SPEAKER_00Sarah.
SPEAKER_01Claudia, what have you done?
SPEAKER_00Um, I prefer Botox, but I do my forehead, Lubella, Crows feet, jelly roll, bone sponge, lip flip, chin, and massacres. The full thing. You like it? Anywhere you can put it. I do, yeah. I like the look. Yeah, it does feel a little funky sometimes, but it's worth it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Literally, I feel like it's exhausting to talk when I have a lip voice. But it looks so good. It looks so good.
SPEAKER_00I feel like I'm talking like, do am I talking weird?
SPEAKER_01Like and I feel like that's a good one too, talking about this. I guess I necessarily wouldn't say preventative, but people who are younger and maybe still have fuller lips or haven't lost a lot of volume in their lips and feel like they need filler just yet. Lip flip, for anyone who doesn't know lip flip is they'll put just a couple, was it five units?
SPEAKER_00Five eight, anywhere from five to eight units.
Current Routine: Keep It Simple
SPEAKER_01Like five to eight units um in the top part of the lip. So it relaxes that muscle and just kind of flips it up a little bit. So it gives a little bit more volume to the top of the lip. Um, so for people who are nervous about doing fillers or yeah, maybe they don't, you know, they still have very full lips, but that top lip just kind of curves down a little bit. Um, that's a really good one that a lot of people I feel like it's getting more popular, but a lot of people didn't really hear about it at first.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the the Madden Girls. Yes, lip flips, they're so cute. I love when they come in. They're like walking.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you have time for lip flip, like, yeah. They're in there in there every six to eight weeks. With their friends, it's so funny. But now I'm gonna be like, hey, we have our self-lip filler, so yeah, that's good for Brandon. Well, too, like that's the thing too. Like, there's preventative skincare, but now there's all these preventative things like when it comes to like either a neurotoxin or like lip filler, that they're like, Oh, I didn't even know you could do that. I'm like, Well, yeah, well, now we have this and I'm gonna show it to them when they come in now. Like, I'm gonna take them all.
SPEAKER_01They're so cute. So, going back to just because I'm always curious, people's um opinion. So, you said you like dysport better, and you said you like Botox better. Why do you prefer dust work?
SPEAKER_02I don't I feel like Botox makes me feel so heavy, like in my forehead, and I just think it lasts longer on me. It's always like personal preference, and I love how we're so opposite because she's like, Oh, I love Botox. I'm like, Well, only Dysport, like you can't do that. Um, but I feel like it makes my forehead so heavy, and I like that it kicks in faster too, because I'm kind of like, I want to see it the next day, like I want to be frozen the next day. So I like that it kicks in faster too. Um, and it just lasts longer on me, yeah. Yeah, and why do you like Botox better?
Microneedling Results And Texture
SPEAKER_01I feel the same exact thing about Discord, like it feels so weird to my forehead, like I feel like it's so heavy, and I feel like Botox does last longer than disc work for me, and that is always funny to hear, and that is why we do carry multiple different neurotoxins, different fillers, because it's so everyone has such a personal preference and what is best for them and what works best for, which I love. I always go back to when I have clients who tell me, especially like younger clients, or when I have older clients who are always like, Oh, you guys don't need that yet. Like, you're not you're too young for that to do that. Um, one, like you said, preventing is so much easier than going back and trying to correct. It's more expensive to correct, it takes more treatments, it takes longer to correct because you're also still fighting the aging process that you're also going through as you get older. Um, but one of the reps when we were training, I don't remember which brand it was, but one of the neurotoxin reps when we were training, she was talking about um like if you had a piece of paper and you folded that piece of paper once and then unfolded it, that line comes out pretty quickly. If you're constantly folding that line, that line's gonna eventually you're gonna try and smooth it out the best that you can, and but that line's gonna stay. Um, and that really stuck with me because I was like, you're right, like if you're constantly making those movements over time, you can come in and get your neurotoxins, and they're still, I mean, how often do we hear like I still have lines? Like you're still gonna have you can still have resting lines when you get neurotoxins. So treating that earlier and not constantly making that movement, um, it's gonna be so much easier to keep that forehead smooth, to keep those crow's feet away. So that's just something that always kind of stuck with me. And then I I really kind of, you know, say to our clients when we talk about it, because I'm like, it's so much easier to stop it from happening or to slow it down than it is to go back and and try and correct that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And I think that's why when we have an ejectable client coming in, and they're more even now if it preventative or corrective, yes, a neurotoxin is gonna work, Botox or dysport's gonna work, but it's only gonna take you so far. And I think that's where skincare and and injectable come together too. And they're like, oh, well, I have to come like every three to four months for like Botox or Dysport. I'm like, okay, well, here's a product that's gonna last you the same amount of time, and you're gonna see actually that your results are gonna be better both ways. So pairing those two, I feel like have a big thing in being preventative and corrective. Always like doing skincare with your neurotoxin or injectable.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, getting on a good skincare routine is definitely going to make all of those last longer. Yeah, it's important. So go check out Damien Ofy Duncan'll get you on a great skincare routine. And then talk to Claudia and so if there was, um, so okay, so we'll go in. If someone is, let's say we're talking about preventative. So someone who comes in and they are younger, but they, you know, we live in Florida. Like, what are some treatments that you would recommend to someone? Like, what's a laser that you would recommend to someone to kind of start as a great preventative and why if they're worried about, especially living in Florida? Um, I've had one client come in, she's like, my mom is so freckly and like I don't want to be like that. Um, so if someone comes in, nothing wrong with freshls, fair curls can be super cute, but when they are from sun damage, um, we can fix those. So, what are some treatments that we offer that you think are a good um just kind of starting starting place for a client?
SPEAKER_00I feel like IPL is usually the easiest. I feel like clients are more hesitant to start with fractional because when they hear that you have to numb, they're like, oh no, yeah, like it hurts.
SPEAKER_01So for anyone who doesn't know what's IPL.
SPEAKER_00So IPL really helps with any sort of discoloration. So if you have any like redness, um, sun damage, age spots, that's what IPL is gonna help with or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I feel like IPL is a good one too because it also helps they kind of see that the dark spots can get darker and then like fall off. So they're more willing to do other things after because it kind of works so well the first time. Like you're kind of gonna really see your results for the first time after, even with like one treatment of IPL. Obviously, they're not gonna go away, but they're gonna see like, oh my gosh, like my dark spots or my age spots are a lot lighter. So I think that's a really good one to enter into. And then they're like, Well, okay, what else can I do? Like they always find something different that's gonna be.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, even our uh younger clients that have acne, like we have a couple of them that come in for IPL and like they they love it. And now that they've done the IPL, they're switching over to fractional now.
SPEAKER_01So what is fractional, don't we?
SPEAKER_00So fractional can help with um building collagen, preventing fine lines and wrinkles, um, more like textural issues. So if you have any like scarring, um, enlarged pores, stretch marks, that can it it can all help with that.
SPEAKER_01Do you do anything with those lasers?
SPEAKER_00I do fractional sometimes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I do IPL. I have like rosacea on my cheeks and that helps with that too. I think IPL is so universal too, because it helps like it kills the bacteria, the acne, rosacea, age spots. Um, so I don't know. I'm scared to do fractional sometimes.
SPEAKER_00Or I'm scared to do IPL.
SPEAKER_02Are you really? Yeah. I have so many clients that are like IPL hurts so much more than fractional, and I need to be numb for IPL.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, we do have a lot of clients that say that it freaks me out.
SPEAKER_02Like that scares me.
SPEAKER_01I love IPL and I do IPL all the day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel I see all of your before and afters all the time on your IPL.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love IPL.
Preventative Neurotoxins Explained
SPEAKER_00There's like clients that like cry after IPL, like they're like tears in their eyes. I'm like, ooh, I'm not doing this.
SPEAKER_01You should do it. It's really not bad. Really not bad. Really not.
SPEAKER_02It just feels like warm.
SPEAKER_01I mean, do you have you done laser hair? Yeah, it feels very much like laser hair. Okay.
SPEAKER_00It's yeah, you feel that like hot pepper band.
SPEAKER_01It's like a yeah, but it's it's not.
SPEAKER_00I think I'm just scared to do it on my face. That's like what scared me uh because I've never done it do it. I don't think I've done, I think I've only done fractional on my face. That's the only thing I've done on my face.
SPEAKER_01If you've done fractional, you can do it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, even skin touch like, ooh, ooh. She doesn't like the feeling of it.
SPEAKER_01Skin bed's just a funny feeling. It like vibrates.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, hysterically locked. And I looked up in the bat, I'm like, like, does this her or is this funny?
SPEAKER_00It's just like like it's just like pumpy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like do you feel like you need to sneeze when you do skin bed?
SPEAKER_00Sometimes, yeah, but she gets like close like my nose and stuff.
SPEAKER_01That's my favorite. I'm always like, You're probably gonna want to sneeze. All right. Well, if you have any uh last and final advice for someone who is young or not even just young, but someone who has never done any aesthetics treatments before. Um, or yeah, they feel like they're too young or don't need to start. What's some advice that you would give someone?
SPEAKER_00Don't use clean and clear. Don't use Neutrogena. Um get like actual skincare that works. That'll make the biggest difference. And then kind of go from there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think like you said, whether you're younger or older, um, oh, it's always good to start somewhere. Like we I think we have clients even that are come that come in their 60, they're like, I haven't done anything. I've you could always start somewhere. It's obviously gonna take you a little longer, but um, I think just starting a one like it's not too overwhelming with either a skincare product or one laser a month. It's always better just to kind of keep yourself in mind. And I think it feels good anyways that you're doing something mentally and physically. Um, so I always tell clients when they come in it doesn't matter where you start, you're here now. So I think that's always a good one.
SPEAKER_00I agree.
