Growth doesn’t have to mean losing the human touch. We sit with Diane, our founder and nurse practitioner, to trace how Couture Med Spa moved from an 8x10 room to serving hundreds per day while staying rooted in evidence, care, and real-world results. The heart of the conversation is simple: help people feel good in their skin, cut the downtime, and keep the science strong.

We unpack how today’s lasers, fillers, and body contouring tools are dramatically better than a decade ago—and why we still say no to hype until the data is sound and the team has personally vetted every step. That mindset shapes our newest offering, the Enlightened Membership, a smart entry point designed to lower barriers, deliver meaningful injectable savings, and open the door to wellness services clients often discover for the first time.

The episode dives deep into our coached weight loss program—built on peptides, accountability, and habit change. Diane shares stories of clients losing 20 to 120 pounds, stepping off medications, and reclaiming daily life through consistent support rather than mail-order shortcuts. We also explore NAD for energy, mental clarity, muscle recovery, and skin quality, and how it helps some clients push through plateaus by elevating performance and motivation. Beyond the clinic, we spotlight community partnerships, from fitness events with B12 power injections to local sponsorships that bring wellness to new audiences.

If you’re curious about a science-first path to confidence—whether that means injectables, peptides, NAD, or simply a place that feels like family—this conversation offers practical insight and a clear starting point. Subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review to help more people find trusted, data-driven care.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome back to Kuture Conversations, where we share the stories, vision, and people behind Couture Med Spa. I'm Lindsay, your host, and today's episode is a very special one because I am sitting down with Diane, nurse practitioner and founder of Kutor Med Spa. Diane is truly the heart of Couture, and so much of what we do today stems from her original vision with blending aesthetics, wellness, and personalized care. In this episode, we're talking about some new things at Kutor Med Spa, from our enlightened membership to our expanded weight loss and NAD offerings, and how we've created a simple supportive path for anyone ready to begin their journey with us. We'll also dive into how Couture is showing up beyond the spa through our community involvement, like our recent golf tournament sponsorship, the Ovidos teamwork out at UCF, and a recent alt social event where Diane and Kator Mentzpa participated as a vendor, plus how we continue how we're continuing to expand these efforts as we move into 2026. Let's get started. Diane, welcome, welcome. Nice to see you again. You too.

SPEAKER_00

This is your first time in our new studio right now. Yes, I love it. Wow. Huge difference. I know. So good. Couple months. Yeah, love it.

SPEAKER_01

Nice and calm environment. Yeah. I like it.

SPEAKER_00

The lighting's nice and dark. You can't see the bruises on my face from a little skin beave treatment I got yesterday. Give it a couple days, it'll be glowing.

Growth From One Room To Multi-State

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. I love it. So, Dan, as the founder of Kutor Med Spa, when you look at where we are today, what stands out to you about how Couture has evolved?

SPEAKER_00

Um, I would say the amount of lives that we touch today versus when we first started and we were in like a little 8x10 room, and now we have, you know, multiple locations across multiple states, and we see 80 to 100 clients per location per day. Um, we've evolved, you know, all of our policies and procedures and our operations team. Shout out to Ashley and Rocky. Um, just the way that we run things, we're able to see a lot more clients and touch a lot more lives. And to me, that's the biggest change is um just being able to really help people feel good about themselves and do it through the masses, not just one or two clients a day. So to me, it's just the amount of people that we can reach and um you know the resources we have, the community engagement that we have, and just that people know Kator Metzpa when we're out and about and we're at a soccer game or a magic game. And you know, if I wear something with a logo, people will be like, Oh, I know, I go there, you know, I I've been there, I hear your advertisements, and um, it feels good.

Evolving Services And Tech Standards

SPEAKER_01

So, from when you first started Kator Medspa and the services that you offer, um, how has that expanded over time? What new things have evolved over the years of Katura Medspa?

Evidence Over Hype: Safety First

SPEAKER_00

Um, I think if you go back to what we offered at the beginning versus what we offer now, with the exception of um Botox Disport and a couple very basic fillers, I think everything's changed. All the fillers have changed because they've evolved, like the companies have evolved them. Um, we still use Sculpture, um, but the body contouring lasers are all different because technology's changed so much in the 13 years we've been open. All of our lasers have changed and upgraded because the technology has updated. Um, so I think every service that we offer now is a new and improved version of when we started 13 years ago. So that's been really cool to see each time. It um they focus the technology on less downtime, um, less pain, and better results. So um, you know, where what used to take be very painful and have a lot of downtime, now the services that we offer at least are quick, um, they're not pain-free, but they're um very tolerable, and there's not much downtime if at all, because what we find is especially with our clientele and the people that tend to come towards us, is they're they're working women. Um, you know, we have men too, but they're working, they have careers, they have families, they have kids, they have engagements they have to go to that night or the next day. Um, so even with services like the aesthetician site, skin pens with exosomes, it makes it so you could basically look like you had nothing done the next day. Um, so I think technology overall has changed, and then the way that we um provide it has changed. And then obviously, like peptides and weight loss that wasn't available 13 years ago. Um, I know myself I had um weight loss surgery done because not none of that was offered. Um, so it might be a totally different weight loss journey if I had started now than if you know I started when I did. Um, but yeah, those services, I think all of our spa services are completely different than when we started. Um, all of our retail product is different. Um, just everything keeps changing and evolving. Um, one thing that I I don't know, I pride myself on, but I don't know, I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, to be honest. But um, there's a lot of like new trends and fads, and I tend to be very science-driven and evidence-based, practice driven. So I tend to let the new things come out and let other people explore them, test them before I will touch them. Um, and then me personally, I will have I will have to physically demo everything with some of my staff as well to get their input before I'll ever let it see a patient. Um, so I might be a little behind on some of the really trendy stuff, but I know it's also saved me. Um, there's some stuff that that has been in and out, and then real quick, people were like, wow, that wasn't good. And um, you know, there are some things I I will explore, like threads, clients talk about that all the time, but for a while, you know, they had a lot of adverse effects and you know, barbs coming out, and um, you know, once that all settles and they get to a good spot, that's when I'll start researching them more when there's more science practice behind it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think that's one of the biggest things that I've learned from you, and then I take away is I do all of clients all the time, and they're like, oh, why don't you guys offer this? And it's something that's just come out and it's super trendy. And I'm like, we always take our time to look into it, research it, find the science behind it, try it ourselves and make sure it's something that we believe in. And I've definitely learned that from you. Like anything that we bring in, we test it, we try it, we make sure that it is, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And Lindsay and I, like, for just an example, like retail product, me and Lindsay will both use it, take it home. And there's been times where like I have not liked a product and Lindsay has loved it, and I'm like, you're the expert then. Let's let's try it. And then within like a month, I'm like, okay, I love it. Or vice versa, I'm like, Lindsay, I have been on this for a month, I'm obsessed. And Lindsay will be like, I know you, and you don't like a lot of things, you're very picky. So if you like it, I'm like, I didn't like it at first, but I've been I've been on this whole regimen, it's ourself, for a month, and and now it's been three months, and I won't use anything else on my skin. And she knows how that's crazy. Yeah, so she's like, let's try it. So I think also, you know, having the relationship that we've had, and Lindsay's been here a decade, and uh just kind of having that trust in each other, but um, yeah, we are very much, we don't use something unless we personally um agree with it ourselves. So I like that.

Inside The Enlightened Membership

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I love that about us. So talking about some of the new things that Kedor has evolved with one of them being the new enlightened membership behind that. Um, what was the intention behind creating that uh membership and what is it involved?

SPEAKER_00

So when we started years and years and years ago, um, it's always been like a little bit of an idea of you know having a facial membership. And um that wasn't something that we were necessarily wanting, but I think over time what we've found is the enlightened membership, which is something new that we've offered, that we just started offering, it's not a facial membership, it's a membership to get for people to get their foot in the door to try the med spa services that we offer um to build confidence, to feel good at an affordable rate. So a lot of our clients um get the enlightened membership simply because they get the discounts on the injectables, and that's a huge discount. So we have a ton of clients that were like, this is exactly what I need. This is, you know, I'm not quite ready to commit to this, that, or the other, or they've been members forever, they've done everything, and they kind of want to take a break from lasers, so they'll they'll do the enlightened membership for six months to a year, and then they'll come back and do um, but I think it was to kind of um be a gateway to different types of clientele. Like you don't have to be a med spa client to come in and get our services. We have so much more to offer. We have cryotherapy, we have um weight loss, we have body contouring, we have stuff that is not med spa. Um, and so to me it's been great because we've seen a whole totally different clientele. Um, I'm sure you mentioned it earlier, but there's an alt social event, which is a very fitness um lifestyle type of company that um hopefully we can get on the podcast soon. Yes, I would love to have them. Um, but we've partnered with them and we are seeing a totally different clientele than what we typically do. And it's people that are just really interested in health and wellness and feeling good about themselves. And the services they're interested in are more B12 and peptides and NAD and weight loss and body contouring and not the other stuff. And will they eventually go to that other side? Maybe, maybe not. But I like the fact that this membership gets people in the door, and then we can custom tailor whatever it is that bothers them to make a difference in their life, whether it is injectables or has nothing to do with injectables.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's been an amazing addition, and I've seen so many people already come in and they'll start with it because yeah, they want to get their discount on their injectables or whatever it may be, and then they're like, Oh, I didn't even know you also offered this. I didn't know you offered NAD. I didn't know you offered so it really gives them a way to see what all we do there.

SPEAKER_00

And clients that are in their 40s, 50s, 60s that are like, I've never had a facial before. And I'm like, What? And then they're like, Oh my gosh, this this is so great! Like, and I'm like, that's what your skin needs. Like, you're spending all this time and money on injectables and lasers, and if you're not doing a facial, like you're not like I'm yeah, I mean, I guess you could be exploiting your skin, but you're not doing it to the depth of what it needs to be done, so um, it's cool seeing that part, and it's like the nice, it's like um a little bit of a therapeutic part of the services, like you're doing all the the pain, like get a little bit of the rewards. Not that everything that you do is pain-free, but yeah, you definitely see those results super quick, where with a lot of the stuff that the providers do, it takes a little bit of time. Yeah, so I think it's a good marrying of both.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's been good. So, speaking a little bit more on our weight loss peptides um that we offer, we've been offering those for about two, two, three years. I think we're going on two. Two years, no. Um, so what have you seen in this balls with clients that um have been taking these weight loss peptides?

Weight Loss Program Philosophy

SPEAKER_00

I have seen life-changing results. I can't tell you how many clients have lost 60 pounds, 70 pounds, 80 pounds, 100 pounds, 120 pounds. Um, and clients that have lost 20 pounds or 30 pounds, and that's life-changing for them. Um, I've seen so many people like their confidence coming up, um, them be off medications that they were on previously, um, them be able to tie their shoes and climb a flight of stairs and do stuff with their kids. Um, so it's a lot more than just weight loss. Their confidence is building their lifestyles better. Um, I think it's definitely one of the most rewarding services that we offer because it's life-changing.

SPEAKER_01

So, a weight loss journey, even getting it started, can be very intimidating to some people. What advice would you give some people who are on the fence about it?

SPEAKER_00

Um, I would say that pick the right program. Um, so at Kator, we have a weight loss program. It's not just weight loss shots. So we are there for your journey from the the second that you just have questions, whether you're signing up or not, we're gonna give you resources and give you uh diet and exercise and protein and kind of just go through the whole step. And when you have bad weeks, we're gonna sit down and go through, you know, what did we eat that week? Is there stressors in your life? Is there um exercises? Is there meditation? Is there things that we can do to help get you through that hurdle? It's not just go up on your meds or go down on your meds, it's it's an entire journey, an entire program. Um, so to me, that's the biggest thing is it's a it's a community. It's not just coming in and getting a shot and leaving. It's, you know, we really care about you getting the safest, best results. Um, and that is a journey. It's it's a marathon, not a sprint. And that's what helps keep the weight loss off is you know, doing the entire program. If you're just coming in and getting shots somewhere or getting them mailed to you and never seeing a provider weekly, then yeah, you might have great results, but the second you get off of them, you haven't built those lifestyle changes to help keep them off long term. So for us, it's a program. It's it's us teaching you the best habits and breaking the bad habits and you know, kind of holistically working on mind, body, and soul so that when you are able to, you know, get down to a low maintenance dose, um, that you still um continue to succeed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think one thing that you mentioned that a lot of people really like is like you said, yeah, you can just get them mailed to you or something like that. But when they come in to this fall, it kind of holds you a little bit more accountable. And our providers and even our client care coordinators, like everyone's really good about working through a problem if you're having a stall, if anything like that, like really kind of okay, let's see what we can do. Like you said, instead of just going up in a dose, all right, let's just up your meds. What are we doing to really have that long-term success? And we've had clients come in that have been on other types of you know, weight loss, the ones that yeah, they just get mailed to them or they don't really have anyone holding them accountable, and they come in here and they're like, I've seen such better results because I get to talk to you guys and we just share stories about oh, what are you eating for breakfast or what are you using for this? And it's really building that community with those clients and really seeing those life-changing results, which has been really cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's huge.

NAD Benefits And Results

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so we've also added NAD as well. Um, for anyone who doesn't know, what's just like a brief expression description of what NAD is gonna give benefits for them?

SPEAKER_00

So NAD is just kind of overall health and wellness. It's great, it's good for your mental clarity, mental fog, it's good for your hair, skin, nails, it's good for energy, metabolism, weight loss, um, muscle recovery. Um basically just head to toe. It's it's an overall peptide that's just really good for everything.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so fitting into that overall wellness realm has been a really good addition. Um, I've noticed a couple clients that have had some stalls with their weight loss peptides, and then we've talked to them about NAD, and they started doing NAD, and they felt like it kind of got them over that stall, whether it was it gave them the energy to work out a little bit more or whatever it may be, or um just kind of helping with that metabolism. I've seen like we've seen some really good results with that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know for my personal self, like I was doing Pilates three or four days a week, and now on the NAD I'm doing it seven days a week, and I don't have that muscle soreness, like I'm able to push myself further because of it. Um, and besides the skin weave that I had done yesterday, um, I haven't done any injectables at all. Um, and everyone is like, oh my gosh, your skin, what have you been doing? It looks so good. And I'm like, literally just NAD. That's it. That's all that's my only addition besides the stuff I've already been on. That's the only new thing that I've added. So it's been great. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

I need to get on it.

SPEAKER_00

It's so good.

Community Events And Partnerships

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, because I remember asking you, it was um maybe about a month or so after you'd start on it. I was like, your skin looks really good. What are you doing? And you're like, I just added an AD. I was like, Yeah, that's awesome, it's great, yeah. So a little bit more of community involvement has always been a big part of Couture. Um, but we've definitely kind of been expanding more, we've been doing more things. Um, I know you talked about the alt social that you guys did. What did you guys actually do at that event?

SPEAKER_00

Um, we gave away free B12 power injections. Um, I think we gave about 350 away. Um, and just kind of telling the benefits of the B12 power injection, which has all the B vitamins, amino acids, um, chromium chloride, all of the stuff in it, um, not just B12, and the the advantage of that injection opposed to just a B12, and just kind of getting them to know our brand and what we have to offer and how it could benefit um the health and wellness journey that they're on. Um, so it was really cool. It was my first event with them. It was the second one that Kator had done. I know we're doing it again. I don't know when this will air, but in February and March. Um, and I don't know, it was it was really cool. It was a really cool, we got a lot of positive feedback and a lot of clients um coming through the door to check out our services from there. What's the most fun about doing community things? Uh it feels like a field trip to me, like it's getting out of the day-to-day and just kind of letting the community know the other things that we have to offer and kind of finding out what they what their wants and needs are and see if it's something that we can help them with or help guide them to somewhere else if we don't excuse me, have those services that we can offer them. Maybe we know something that can, but to me, it's just kind of getting out and seeing like not our clientele and what they're interested in and what services they want, and you know how we can fit into that journey or help them find someone that can.

SPEAKER_01

So, as we look forward to 2026, what are some of your goals for guitoura? Not just services, but in general, what are some goals for a creator?

SPEAKER_00

Um, I think more community engagement, um, continuing to reach the masses, get clients in that wouldn't normally be in, and just overall hitting people's health and wellness goals and journeys, and continuing to build their confidence and get healthier and feel good about themselves and just have overall you know, meeting their goals.

SPEAKER_01

What do you hope clients, team members, and the community feel when they think about the tournament talking?

SPEAKER_00

Um, family and positive. Culture and positivity, and like oh, I remember that place. Like, I would go back there, it was such a great experience, and I felt welcomed the second I walk in, and it felt like a family, and it felt like support. Um, you know, that's that's to me why we do what we do, and the feedback that I get from clients and staff, and I think why we've had a lot of our staff for as long as we have, and um yeah, I hope that continues to grow and we continue to improve every day, every year, and yeah, it's we're doing good.
