As she prepares to conduct data collection for her dissertation study in the United Arab Emirates, which focuses on African American expatriate educational professionals in the UAE, she reflects on the notion of remembering and how each of these episodes, in completely different ways, support this notion of taking time to reflect on the lived experience.
