In this deeply personal episode of the Faith@Work Podcast, Kelsi sits down with her husband, Josh, as he shares his story publicly for the first time.

After twelve years of hidden alcoholism, Josh entered treatment in December 2024. But getting help meant facing one of his greatest fears: trusting God with everything he was afraid to lose — his family, his business, his clients, his reputation, and the life he had worked so hard to hold together.

In this conversation, Josh shares what it was like to be a high-functioning alcoholic, how grief and hidden pain opened the door to addiction, and what it took for him to finally surrender to Jesus and go to treatment.

Kelsi and Josh also talk honestly about boundaries, fear, treatment, financial obstacles, rebuilding trust, outpatient care, accountability, therapy, and the healing journey their whole family has walked through.

Today, Josh has been sober for 18 months and regularly returns to the treatment center to share his story, pray with others, and encourage men who are still in the middle of their own battle.

This episode offers hope for anyone struggling in silence, encouragement for families walking through addiction, and practical wisdom for workplace leaders who want to respond with truth, compassion, and accountability.
