I'm Jeannie Duncan, host of Undoing. Women on the Threshold and the Journey and Beyond. This show is all about getting to the heart of your most true self and living it in the world. While I'm curious about this topic among women of all ages, I'm most interested in those at midlife and mid-career. There's just something about this particular stage of life and its intersection of events that makes this work especially messy and difficult, and at the same time, hugely rewarding. Here's what I mean. At this point, we have long-term careers, 20-plus-year marriages, children who are either teenagers or transitioning out of the home, elder care for aging parents, menopause, and more. Any one of these topics is a lot to navigate in and of itself. Combined, it's epic. Epic because it's really hard. Epic also because it holds transformative possibility. There's a lot here, and this is undoing. Undoing is examining what no longer serves or fits and getting curious about it, like relationships, careers, and decisions. It's answering that internal call to what draws you, even when you're unsure of what it is. Undoing is excavating, a de layering of all that's been layered on to get to the core of who you really are. It's shedding identities that don't feel true. Maybe they felt true at one time, but now they feel like clothing you've outgrown. It's getting out of your head and dropping into your heart. Undoing is my invitation to you. On this podcast, I'm featuring bold, brave women in their truth journey of re-examining identity, purpose, and voice. Here's what I'm curious about, and I wonder if you are too. What does it take to really know yourself? What supports or holds you back from living your true self in the world? And what emerges when you do? This is what I want to explore together. I'm so glad you're here.
