Hey kids, consider this your little Trigger Warning snack while we’re on hiatus between Season 1 and Season 2 — a messy, mouthy, mildly unhinged taste of the chaos you’ve been missing.

It’s me, Adam “Meat Hammer” Klesh, serving up a compilation of our favorite triggers from the podcast so far: pet peeves, nightlife nonsense, social media drama, bad manners, big opinions, and the kind of zero safe space energy you’ve come to expect from Trigger Warning Podcast.

If you like your podcasts gay, funny, uncensored, inappropriate, chaotic, and just a little bit rude, congratulations — you found your people. This episode is a quick hit of attitude, laughs, and lovingly offensive commentary to hold you over until the real madness returns.

Like, subscribe, comment, clutch your pearls, and please try not to block the subway doors on your way out.

Trigger Warning Season 2 will be back with brand-new episodes Thursday, September 9th. See ya then.

SPEAKER_05

What happens when you let Enfant Terrible, now just terrible, Daniel Nardicho, off his leash to say and do whatever he wants? The man who has offended everyone is back.

SPEAKER_04

Along with my brother from another mother, Adam Klesh, we're back with our latest creation, Trigger Warning, a podcast that is not for the faint of heart. Prepare to be offended, enlightened, and highly entertained. Trigger Warning is not a safe space podcast, but answers the questions no one wants to ask. Serves steep in vodka and a dash of bitter.

SPEAKER_05

Each week we'll bring you the highest and lowest in NYC nightlife. So buckle up, you've been warned. Hey everybody, me the hammer Clesh here. It's Adam from Trigger Warning. Uh, of course I'm without Daniel because he's always gallivanting doing something fucking stupid. Uh don't worry. We've got tons more coming your way in season two, but we thought while on hiatus and living our best lives, you might like to see some of our famous favorite triggers. I hope you enjoy. We'll see you at season two.

SPEAKER_04

The show is called Trigger Warning. So if this bothers you, please call it a professional.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you know what? We're in like we're in like, I don't know where we are. We're lost in somewhere like season three and a half. And you know what? I'm I'm starting to be okay with this show triggering people.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, totally.

SPEAKER_05

And then so far it's not really bothered anyone.

SPEAKER_04

Because you know what I know? Because there's one listener.

SPEAKER_05

I know we're good. I know we're good people. I know we're doing good things for our community. I know our producer's a good person. And so when we get pissed off about something, you're probably shitty. So let me ask you a question.

SPEAKER_04

We're the show is called Trigger Warning. And we always ask our guests, what triggers you? Because let's face it, we're in a world now where I'm triggered almost daily with stuff, right? Like that. What is something that triggers you being here right now under the ground?

SPEAKER_03

Worrying about whether or not I'm gonna leave the subterranean hell.

SPEAKER_05

I went with two middle-aged white men into a gay baby.

SPEAKER_02

Actually, you all don't know that you're gonna be the ones missing the name. Don't sleep on the sweet tasting foolishness of the I love this shit. I love everything. I'm sorry, what about what are you saying twigs?

SPEAKER_05

Do you have a trigger for us? Is there something that's triggered?

SPEAKER_02

I guess it's kind of triggering. Um, I don't like it, and I find it very condescending when somebody pats you on your back. Oh. I just or a weak, source. Like a hand. Those make me just want to, and mind you, I'm known as the goddess of light, but that makes me want to smack the shit out of you.

SPEAKER_05

Make you go down.

SPEAKER_02

I don't like those two things. I just don't. So that's very triggery for me.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, there is something about a pat on the back.

SPEAKER_02

It's very condescending, right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's it's like it's it's like authoritative in the wrong way.

SPEAKER_03

Especially if you don't know me from a can of paint and you just tap me like that.

SPEAKER_05

I'm like, like it's and especially like if you're asking kindly for something, or just like, oh, this is so nice to hang out, or like, oh babe, do you think you can grab me like a I need an XLR cable? Like, yeah, yeah, we'll get you that.

SPEAKER_02

And it just takes it all away. It doesn't matter how you ask it, but when you do that tap, it's like whoopsh.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it makes your skin crawl.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it does, absolutely. Those are I get that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, totally. I can see that totally. Adam, do you have one? Uh I do. Mine is uh mine's a little more like a concurrent event. Mine's like fucking bureaucracy right now. Like, so I'm dealing with the we open and close the ice palace every year. So we can take care of things, salt air, all that other stuff. Today, while I was on the train in here to do this podcast with you, um thank you. Uh PSEG just slammed all the power off in the grove. And like everything at the Ice Palace went like this huge pop. They're replacing transfers, all that stuff. So my sound guy, my lighting guy, my GM, you remember Ken Brought. Yeah, of course. So they all go outside and they're talking to the PSG guys, like, oh well, no, we sent out robocalls to everyone that this was happening, which is absolutely untrue. There were residents like out on the walks, like, what the fuck? Oh my god. And so just like, I don't know. I'm just over government agencies and power companies all that stuff right now. Everything corporate bureaucratic America is really rubbing me out. Especially when you're working your ass off. We have so many people that like the Ice Palace is the world's oldest LGBTQIA plus we'll call queer um. Continuously running Cisco Tech. Yeah. 1956, the boom boom boom, then became uh the Ice Palace has never shut its doors since the day it's opened. Even during uh COVID, I think that was still open on the outside deck. Yeah, on the outside deck. And so you have these people that like believe in this and they have this passion for it, they're working their asses off, and we it's just constantly dealing with the hatred of the country we're in. So I'm triggered by like pencil pushers. Right? That's what's really getting me.

SPEAKER_02

We've all kind of gotten that in this whole um foolishness with the orange Cheeto, you know what I mean? Absolutely. But now we're kind of, and it's kind of almost that it's like desensitized us in a sense. Correct. You know what I mean? Where in the beginning it was very true. Now I'm just kind of like, get out of the fucking pod people shit. Well, and then like it feels like are you all idiots to believe and look and listen to that?

SPEAKER_05

And they won't wake up. Their lives are terrible.

SPEAKER_03

You can't get an abortion for your child who dad is dick and his daughter's pussy. You know what I mean? Come on, let's be real with this.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, get rid of the kid.

SPEAKER_02

You know, you know what you give me, you give me like a leaf carrot 70s heart throbbing. Oh, I'll take leaves. Very sexy, huh? Oh, I had a biggest crush on him. Gorgeous, huh?

SPEAKER_05

Well, I mean, the wig's on point today, as well.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe that lay's front is laid, huh?

SPEAKER_04

Josh was like, honey, that wig. I've seen better wigs on undercover boss. How about you did? You know, for me, it's a you know, what I what I don't have social media anymore because I've been banned or my meta, if you're listening, yes, my account on Facebook and one of my accounts on Instagram. Anyone else watching and listening? They're going after the gays. They're going after the gays. They shut them down. I'm gonna have to restart my Instagram, which really sucks because of something you know that they said was you know against community standards, and I'm very careful about it. And I've also seen full ass on Instagram.

SPEAKER_02

But you've even said that it was like a year or so ago. So it's like if you're gonna be real about it, stay on your shit. It should have happened a year ago.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they founded the photo a year ago that they said it was a party I did here, it was a Thanksgiving Eve party or something that we did down here, and they found something that they found offensive, and that's what they claim. But you're gonna do it requested repeal, and normally the repeals, if that ever happens, I do it, and then they say, sorry, we made a mistake, but this time they didn't. They permanently disabled that, the temple one and Caso Aces. So I had like literally no Instagram, which is kind of gonna be nice for a little bit. You're gonna read so many books.

SPEAKER_02

And this is what more people, people, but this is also really great because you know, having the podcast and also the visibility that you have, and also about ready to go into the island. This is a great way to re-kick it and reboot uh reboot your browser.

SPEAKER_04

I kind of think about, you know what I might think about. I'm just gonna start all over on you know, a lot of it was well, we talked about this other triggers that I've had, a lot of it for me, um, because I'm sort of a lightning rod sometimes for negative comments. I'm not 100% sure what that is about my personality. I'm willing to say that it's me. But it started to get to the point where people were going, Tabasco looks like he's gained weight. My dog to leave the babies out of it.

SPEAKER_02

Don't touch the babies.

SPEAKER_04

Uh, you know, are you okay? Like to like all of these comments, like are you look like you've gained weight. Like people were commenting about my body and shit like that.

SPEAKER_03

Like, what gives you the free will?

SPEAKER_04

I think that people just feel I'm just I don't really comment about people's looks. To me, I always just say you look great. Or I don't say anything at all.

SPEAKER_05

Right. Or that your wig's from undercover boss. Yeah, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_02

Or a shake and go.

SPEAKER_05

No, but by the way, speaking of compliments, those glasses are kicking. No, they are kicking. Hello. Those are kicking. It's an aviator game.

SPEAKER_02

You and you and aviators would just literally send me to an early grave right now and be baby, put these on, please. He's gonna look so hot. Oh, no, totally.

unknown

Oh, fuck.

SPEAKER_02

No, totally. No, totally. Damn. Hold these dentures.

SPEAKER_05

I gotta fix a dent.

SPEAKER_03

I got the green. Oh, I gotta wanna trigger warnings.

SPEAKER_04

The theme of the show is trigger warning. And what we do is we all do a little trigger, what triggers us. Um, and so I'll start. We'll go, we'll go quickly. Yeah, yeah. What triggers me is when um the Pines decides that they're going to mop my exact ideas. Yeah. And then they like to pretend that we're like, we're from LA and we're really rich and we're gonna do really unique, crazy, interesting things. And then they go, an underwear party. Like literally, I love to watch them fail every time they do this. So I but this party call it the jock strap party. Yes, back when those awful guys were doing it, it was awful.

SPEAKER_05

And now they're calling it bare minimum.

SPEAKER_04

Which is what they mean about their audience. Yeah, yeah, because the bare minimum isn't it.

SPEAKER_05

When you go there, you should expect the bare minimum.

SPEAKER_04

So what happens is every time someone buys it, that rotted whole thing over there, and I do like the Pines boys, they're coming, a lot of them coming to your phone. Pines boys are great.

SPEAKER_05

The pavilion is the triangle of sadness. Totally. Exactly. The best thing that could happen to the pavilion is another fire.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my totally, exactly. Absolutely. And and so every time they get a new owner, the new owner and I end up having some sort of conversation. They're always, I'm always like, look, let's work together. Counter program. So don't do Friday nights what I do. And Saturday nights, go ham, do what you want. They always end up focusing so hard on Fridays and trying to take down Fridays. Their Saturdays often are lacking. You mean like the dance stuff? They always do this. This time, uh, what numbnuts, uh, Tristan had dinner with me last year, wanted me to come over. I didn't necessarily want to go over. And then, of course, he's the And then ghosted us on Twitter. I'm gonna go, you know, on my private plane. My private plane, my private plane, my private plane. The plane, the plane. I've got my 40 husbands running back there. So anyway, then I said, just don't do an underwear party because you're gonna embarrass yourself. Because I, you bring out the beat, you wake the beast.

SPEAKER_05

And he said, I'll show you embarrassing and he did it in embarrassing.

SPEAKER_04

No, so then of course he's like, No, Daniel, we won't do it. And then of course they have to do it. So now my goal is to just watch him fail again miserably. And you wake, don't wake the beast. Be original. We're gay people. Why do we go from a creative class to a consumer class? Like, why is it suddenly we went from leaders to followers? Be creative. Do something where I go, I had thought of that.

SPEAKER_01

That's my trigger too, though. I mine very similar. Jump on jump on it. About being be original, be creative. What triggers me? If you go to a queen show, okay, and I I see many queen shows like in Provincetown, and instead of making a new video, like a vi an original video, like I did with Dina, or you know, like Dina makes genius videos, someone will put a Saturday night live clip in their show or and then expect people to pay. Because let's face it, when you do a show every minute, you're it's like a taxim, right? They're paying for every minute to put Saturday night night live videos in their show drives me.

SPEAKER_04

That's insane. Crazy. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And that happens, and then people laugh at it. That's the problem.

SPEAKER_04

So who who does who does that? What name some names? Name some names. Come on. Is it is our Rue, is it Rugals? Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because most of the most of the yeah, anyway.

SPEAKER_04

Just that's a good that's a good idea. If I saw that, I would like to throw something at the screen.

SPEAKER_01

Because you know, you have to work hard to create material and it it you know, and sometimes it doesn't work, and sometimes you'll do a video and it it you end up scrapping it. Not for me, but for colleagues. Uh you know what I mean? And so you work so hard, and sometimes it doesn't always work. You have to take a risk. And it just drives me crazy when people don't take a risk and just think, uh, this will make someone laugh. And but you know, I didn't pay for it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, well, that's wild. What triggers you?

SPEAKER_00

What triggers me is I think it should be illegal for somebody to walk into the elevator before you walk out, and into the subway before you walk out. And I think it should be illegal to stop on the stairwell. I think if we have red lights. I think it should be illegal.

SPEAKER_04

I think like deported to El Salvador to those prisons.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, go to Rikers.

SPEAKER_04

Crocodile Alcatraz or something.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, alligator Alcatraz. It gives me a lot of anxiety. And I uh I kind of feel like if we we adhere to green lights and red lights and yellow lights, like why can't we just like let people out of the colour like out of a door before you walk in a door?

SPEAKER_05

Everywhere else in the world, you know, everyone stands on the right of an escalator and walks on the left. In the US, it's it's a hodgepodge of lazy fox.

SPEAKER_00

It's just not a bad thing.

SPEAKER_05

People walking in New York City like four abreast at the slowest pace.

SPEAKER_00

And it's crazy. I just came back from London and boarding an airplane was so efficient. Like they actually made a real queue for your group. Whereas coming to London from America, it was like the white walkers. Everybody was just, it was a mob.

SPEAKER_05

You run off an airplane, don't you though? Well, you also fly, you fly first class, right?

SPEAKER_04

You're like, you know, you you only get whisked in like Donatella.

SPEAKER_00

Uh if it's for work, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And if Perry's buying the tickets for me, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

You know what to do, Babs. All right, this is Trigger Warning. Thanks for watching. We could talk all night and probably will.

SPEAKER_04

Totally. Exactly. All right, thank you guys for watching slash listening. We'll talk to you soon.
