This week I'm joined by Joe King - a 29-year veteran of Dallas PD and board member of Assist the Officer Foundation, a foundation providing financial assistance to first responders facing a loss of income due to serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event.
In this episode, Joe talks about his involvement in his department's wellness unit, his own experience in therapy after the loss of a coworker and friend in the line of duty, and how he used his experience in therapy to pay it forward to other officers.
