Hey everybody and welcome back to our podcast about Girona Hospital. If you are new, welcome. This week, July Sweeps is on and popping. It's been a great week for Girona Hospital. So let's start with Anna. Anna tells Felicia about caches. And if Felicia was like, huh? What? I'm like, come on, Felicia. Like, why would Anna make up this letter that she found? Why would she do all this? So Felicia started to put two or two together and she calls Cody to make sure that James stays away from Cashes. And then at the end, you know, Anna is gonna get released, so she'll be back in Port Child cleaning up a hot mess. I don't think she should be commissioner after we saw her seeing Peter. Would you happy to see him? Because I know you like Peter.
SPEAKER_00You know I like me some Peter. I know a lot of fans probably don't, but I I always like the character Peter. I thought he was a funny villain, just like uh Sitwell is. Yeah, the Anna thing. I knew something was up with Anna before they even showed Peter. Because when she asked Felicia, can you bring that doctor in so that Felicia could explain to her the doctor what Anna, you know, had uncovered, I knew something was still wrong with Anna because she said she needed the lady to come in to kind of like prove that she not basically seeing things that's not really there. So I kind of knew that was a tip that she still was having problems. And even before that, I think she was talking to, I don't know if it was Emma or Felicia, and she had also made another um indication that she was still having some issues, and she couldn't 100% trust what she was seeing. And I think that Felicia needs to pay attention to that. I know Felicia is happy to know about Cassius so she can get James away from him, but at the same time, Anna is still having issues. So it's like they need to not overlook that and take that seriously and really listen to what she's saying. Because she basically said she's not sure if what she's saying is what she's saying, you know. So it's just like, uh, y'all gonna let her go back home? Like, okay. Yep.
SPEAKER_02And hopefully Lisa, even Jocelyn can let her know that she was held captive because they saw her note there. And maybe Lisa can help her out with that, because I think Lisa would know what column probably used on her, but yeah, her brain is just not the same right now. So we're probably gonna see more of Peter. I know people are gonna be rolling their eyes, like, oh my gosh. Not me. Because I when I saw him, I was like, uh, Peter freaking August. I was just like, here we go with Peter. I mean, the the actor is fine, it's just that he does this like Shakespeare overacting stuff sometimes that you just go, oh my gosh, like can you just dial it down a few notches? So I'm looking forward to see how Anna's gonna deal with being back in Port Trials and if she still wants to be commissioner. Because if she does, I need for her to fire Chase. That's been going on way too long. I need for that to be handled.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm just wondering what what's wrong with her? Like, is it that they gave her some kind of medication and made her like that? I think so. She's starting to see Peter, yeah, because they need to get into that deeper because um I'm like, okay, you can tell a part of her is healed, but then the other part isn't. So I'm just like, what caused it? So you see, and basically they gave her some medication and made that happen. Yeah, because I'm wondering why is it still going on?
SPEAKER_02I don't know, maybe even now. Maybe it's a long-term side effect because they they did give her something because she was having some blood issue. I cannot remember what it's called, and then they gave her that medicine because she thought she was seeing Lizel, and and of course we know Lizel wasn't there, and then she started seeing Peter after that. And I think maybe they might go down the storyline of her feeling guilty about what she did to Peter. That's very possible. Uh, cause she did just left him there to not keep living. So she may feel guilty because that that was her family, that was her nephew. That's very possible. I'm not really sure how they're gonna do all this. I I'm looking forward to seeing how Anna's gonna be when when she comes back, because if she's not doing that great, she cannot be commissioner. That's gonna look really bad. I mean, it's the PCP, though.
SPEAKER_00They always look bad.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm gonna only got one person doing their job, and that's Joe.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I wonder how that's gonna affect Emma too when she comes back. Because Emma is gonna most likely be living with her, so she's probably gonna start to see certain things. And then I wonder how Emma is gonna handle it. But yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see. I think John Hospital is going in a good direction with the storyline. Um, I think it's gonna be interesting to watch the whole thing with Anna coming back and what's that gonna be about, especially with Emma in the picture.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. And I wish Robin was around for this too. She helped her mother, but we all know why Robin isn't isn't around. But hopefully Emma will be able to help her out. Because you could tell Emma loves her grandmother and wants to help her out as much as as much as she can. And maybe this will kind of give Emma Gio a storyline too, maybe in some kind of way. I'm not sure, but I am looking forward to the Fiona Huge doing her thing because she always does it. Next up, we have uh Cody gets the phone call from Felicia, and we have it Cassius, and James says goodbye. I felt really bad for James because he got his alleged father back, quote unquote. Turns out it's his uncle, and now his uncle is leaving, and it's it's a lot. I feel sorry for James because dude just cannot catch a break at all. He has people coming in and out of his life, and that must be exhausted for a child to go through. So, what were your thoughts on this scene?
SPEAKER_00The person that plays Cashes, Ryan, did great. I felt his emotion when he was talking to James. It was really good. It was really, really good. I hope he submitted his work for um daytime Emmy or something because it was good. But I I I thought it was good. I'm glad he didn't try to run off with James because I thought that'd be more traumatic on James if he, you know, was to do that and then find out later, you know, that's his uncle, not his dad. So I'm glad the way that he didn't just snatch him up. He wanted to so bad though. Yeah, but Cody had um has stopped it. So thank goodness that James does have Cody and he really looks up to Cody. So it's good that Cody is still around and available for James. But yeah, I felt sorry for James too, because his mom just woke up from a coma. He gets his dad back, thought that was his dad, and eventually he's gonna find out that it wasn't his dad, and I think it's gonna break that kid's heart. So it'd be interesting to see the person that played James. It'd be interesting to see how he plays all of that when it comes out, because he's a good actor as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I definitely agree. It just sucks that Maxie isn't involved in all this because she's the core of the she's some mother of James. So I think Maxie deep down knew that something wasn't right with Fate Nathan, which is what Felicia told Anna as well. It just sucks that we don't have Maxie around. I hope that during the hospital at least does a recast, even if it's just a few episodes, just to have that, you know, just I guess um round it out well, because it just seems kind of missing someone, and that's Maxie. And hopefully they have something going on with that. But I will say I was happy and I said, uh, I don't feel bad for you. And that's Lolo finding out that fake Nathan is Cassius, and she ruined a long friendship with Maxie over a guy, and they're together not that long. It was probably like they what happened? They just slept together, and then that was it, right? They they really weren't together that long.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, because they yeah, they started arguing over Rocco, yeah, and let's get into that for a second. I did not like Dante calling the police on Brit because Rocco basically begged them to just you know leave Britt alone because he left willingly with her. So it's gonna be interesting to see how all of this kind of plays out with Dante, Lulu, Britt, and Rocco. But, you know, Rocco is upset and he should be, to me. That's my opinion, because he did ask them not to go after her because he left willingly. And instead of them kind of honoring what he was asking, they did the opposite. I think it's gonna get to the point he's not gonna be able to trust them when he does. Because it's like, okay, Rocco, come to us. We your parents, we here to help, okay. Then he tells y'all, okay, listen, could y'all not, you know, do this and put her in jail? I love her kind of thing. I don't want nothing bad to happen to her, and she's sick. And they do the opposite. So I'm I'm here to see how this is gonna play out because I felt like they should have had honored that and just kept it moving at that point. Because he left Winnerly. It's different if she took him, then heck yeah, you know, you have her locked up, but that wasn't the case.
SPEAKER_02So I just feel like you you don't believe what Dante said, saying that he was trying to keep her safe. Keep who safe? Britt. He said that he was trying to keep Brit safe by doing what? So he said he was he he was trying to keep Brit safe from Column, which is why he called the police and had her transported back to Port Charles because he felt like if there was 24-7 watch on her, then most likely Column wouldn't be able to get to her.
SPEAKER_00Okay, you can't see my expression, but I'm giving you the side eye. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So in other words, you don't believe what Dante was saying. In other words, you're like BS on that one because because I mean Column has more reach than the PCPD. He could have easily paid off whoever go in and take her out. So I understand what Dante was trying to do, but I also kind of agree with Rocco. It's like yeah, I should just left her alone. But we found out that she's not really sick, so she was missing miss diagnosis. I'm not understanding why she's having Trimerson. Is there something else going on? Or was they giving her something that's something that the writers need to iron out? My thing is, will this change her relationship with Rocco? I feel like Rocco was attached to her because she was sick, but now she's not. Will he still be on her or will he back off? Like I wonder how that's gonna go.
SPEAKER_00I think he's gonna I think he's gonna be on her because his parents are not listening to him. So she listens. So I think he's still gonna be on her whether she's sick or not. Because she's it's like with Spencer. Spencer really adored Brit. And he knew Brit was up to stuff and doing and scheming and all kinds of stuff. But at the end of the day, he liked Brit, he respected her. So they had a real good relationship.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_00And so I yeah, so I just think that they need to come off, you know, the way that they treat him. I mean, the kid is almost an adult, treat him as such, and start treating him like he's a toddler. If he was, you know, very young, then that's different. You know, they should be protective and, you know, trying to um, you know, make sure he's safe. But in this case, the kid is almost off the college. So it's like treat him as such. I mean, he's telling them please don't do this, and then they do the opposite. We'll see if Dante really meant that at some point. I'm sure they're gonna play a scene out so we can really see is he telling the truth? Was he doing that to protect her and have her haul back to Port Charles, or was he doing that because he was mad about the whole thing? Because don't don't be mad at Brit. Be mad at Rocco because he's the one that went off with her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that's the thing I get annoying with Lulu and Dante is that they blame everybody else but Rocco. Because he's been making choices after choices after choices, and they blame everybody else around him but Rocco. Who knows how it's gonna play out, but it is what it is. Let's switch gear to Ezra. Had sitwell in his trunk. I was like, what's going on? Come to find out. He was just there to see Marco's supposed home, which looks like Austin's cabin. Did it not? It kind of looked looked like that to me, but anyway, Cash is and Joe walk in, and sit well threw him under the bus. Like it was just threw him all, just shoved him right on other lived there. It was just like really, even Cash is like, what the heck? So Joe gets knocked out, Cash is Sitwell gone. Ezra's having his own dialogue. I I'm starting to like Ezra a little bit more lately. He's he is a sleaze when it comes to Jacinda because he like in love with her or something. But I thought his scene was great, and Joe, he's just out of it. When he gets to Jaran Hospital, he calls the cops, like, hey, y'all need to find this guy. And then he talks to Lucas about the syringe. And I think Lucas is gonna feel like a fool because Marco got unalied for nothing. He went in there getting his medicine, thinking that he's helping Britt, come to find out she doesn't even have the disease at all. So, how do you think Lucas is going to react to all this?
SPEAKER_00I I hope he doesn't spiral out of control, but he's got to be angry even when he finds out about Cassius, because he learned about Cassius through Joe and explained to him that he's not Nathan. He's supposed to be this Cassius guy. So I think Lucas will was turning for sure. And he gotta be wondering to Britt know. And he's gonna be, to me, mad when he finds out that she knew the whole time that that wasn't Nathan. I think that's gonna definitely be an issue. But I I hope he doesn't start sparing out of control. But he does have a lot to be angry about.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And I for sure. And not the same way with Lizo. Because Lisa was mad at Brit, rightfully so, because Britt didn't say anything. But I do think Britt could be a little bit jealous of this, like my Nathan kind of thing. It's what um Lizo does. But Lizo is just like, I forgive you, but I'm tired of your crap. You know, it's just the same thing over and over again with Lisa. Do you do you think Lisa was right to cut it off?
SPEAKER_00Brit no, because I think Lizo doesn't, I think she knows most of the story, but I still think his piece is dismissing. And I think she needs to go back and talk to Britt again because Britt can fill her in on everything at that point. But Britt needs to fill her in too. And Britt hasn't done that with anybody. She's been very secretive about the whole Cassius thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. A lot of people are gonna be pretty upset with her.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because for her to allow Cassius to be act like he's Jane's father, that's bad. And she could have spoken up and said something, but I don't know. I mean, uh, I kind of I understand what Brit said though. Britt, they they basically grabbed her, woke her up, you know, and I and I told you on the one of the podcasts that she I knew that's the direction that the writers was gonna go in with her. And I told you when her and Jason was running around and stuff together, that's when they found out about her Huntington disease. And I knew, I said, they are lying about that because they needed her, and that's exactly what they wrote that they needed her to do what they was doing with that cold fusion stuff. And then all the while she believed in that she's sick, you know. So some of that is not on her. The Cassius thing, 100% on her. She should have spoken up once he hit poor Charles. But the other stuff, that's not on her. They grabbed her and lied to her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I feel like I feel like it needs to be some kind of compassion for her as far as that goes. When it comes to to Cassius, though, mm-mm, none. Yeah, no. None because she could have stopped James from the heartbreak.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely, definitely. But hey, Lil' show who she was as a friend. So I really wish Maxie was a good one. I wish Maxie wasn't round to go off on Lil' like, mm-hmm. You ruined you, you ruined a friendship over a guy who who who was not my guy, kind of thing. But I digress. When I saw we got Colum being hella creepy when it came to Jack. That's horrible to be tied up on the bed, can't do anything, and this guy just like, yeah, I'm gonna take you out. What? It was it was very hard to watch. But of course, Nina comes in all panicking. Nina, calm down. It's not that serious. And she's all panicking, and she ended up saving Jack. And thank goodness she used her connections. Nina is rich, she has connections. I don't get why she doesn't use them more often, but she's gonna help Jack out. I could definitely see them getting together. I think we all seen it the moment Jack went to Nina about Valentine. Are you looking forward to them being together? You know, yes.
SPEAKER_00Um, I like them together, and I can see that they are gonna definitely pair them together. Because even when he was laying there and she revived them, and she was like, I gotta go bribe somebody to get you out of this room. And he was like, You would do that for me? Because he was just in a state of shock that she would do it. And she's like, Yeah, I need you to help me with Willow and Miss Juice. So, but he still was kind of taken aback by it. But I can see them putting them as a couple. It's gonna be awkward, you know, when it comes to Carly and Valentine, but so what I'm here for. I do like them together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think it's gonna be pretty cool. And I wouldn't be surprised if Jack somehow recruits Willow after all after all this.
SPEAKER_01Oh, definitely.
SPEAKER_02I can see him doing that for sure. And then next up, we got so Charlotte and Danny there at the queues after the attempt to kidnap Charlotte. And Carly, you know, tells him, like, hey, I'm going to Windermere, call Sunny for backup. I don't get why she didn't call Sunny in the first place to help her out with this. And then when she gets there, all I notice is her clickling, clackling shoes going around. I'm like, Carly, you couldn't find any quieter shoes. What are you doing? Of course, she gets caught. Of course, and Cassius comes in and saves her. I thought I thought it was funny when Carly and Jocelyn were together, and Jocelyn and Lisa just gave each other a look and then she pushed Carly. I thought that was funny and just locked her in the room. I feel bad for Lizo. Dealing with Jocelyn and then Carly, oh, that was exhausting for her. What what were your thoughts on all that?
SPEAKER_00I liked Jocelyn and Lizo together. They were hilarious together. It it definitely brought the comedy. And then when you threw Carly in there, and then Jocelyn came out, Carly and Lisa was funny as heck um together. So I liked the scenes, I enjoyed the scenes. But yeah, Carly, she was trying to defend herself with that big dude. That was crazy. I mean, she swung. I thought she had him, but she didn't. I was like, oh my goodness, because he was so big, you know, like over her. And I'm just like, girl, oh my goodness. But I'm glad Cassius came in and shot him to save her, you know. And then he gave her the code to go down there and get his mom and um Jocelyn out of there. I I thought the whole thing, it was pretty entertaining. I was just on the edge of my seat watching it all go down. But then to see Danny and Charlotte, I was like, come on, Jason and Sam McCall's son. They came through as a distraction while Carly did go up into Windermere to try to get Jocelyn and um Liesel. I thought it was pretty good. They used to fire crackers, um, and then they thought Column and on people thought it was, you know, gunshots, but it wasn't. I thought it was brilliant. I said, okay. I said they both came through. I loved it. I love it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was glad they they came through for really Cassius and Jocelyn. Because once Jocelyn got out, Cash's is out there um taking out some people and Jocelyn's helping out. But I don't get why Jocelyn decided to run when she did and she got shot. I was like, girl, why did you move? It was a little bit too soon for that. And then of course Column comes in and he shot Cash's and telling him about Brit not being sick and all this stuff. And then Jocelyn gets the last shot. Do you think Collum is gone?
SPEAKER_00Because so far it looks like he is. It looks like he is, but you know, it's a soap. And if they're not showing somebody to me, they can bring him back. Same thing with cashes. They can end up bringing him back. Because they could have just told Jocelyn, yeah, you know, you was the only survivor, but they actually survived. Because I mean it's as soap, you know. So you can always bring people back. Yeah, I thought it was weird when she started running. It's like, girl, what are you doing? These people are still out there um shooting and whatnot. You know, I felt like Cassius basically risked his life for the greater good, and that was to stop the whole um device being transported by Colum. And I'm glad Jocelyn was able to take down Column, maybe, because you know it's the soap.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, but I was glad she was able to take him down. It was hard to watch her being so hurt though, you know, because she got shot. And so it was like, oh, Jocelyn, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was hard to kind of see Jocelyn be down like that, but I'm like, she did to herself, oh. You shouldn't just ran out like that. And then Z comes in, Mr. John Oliver steps up. He did great with with his first episode. He just came in all cool and serious, and then he shot the uh one one guy, and then he went over to Cassius. He walked past Colum, which I thought was funny. And so we get to the hospital, and Jocelyn tells him what happened, and Jocelyn makes a deal. She's like, I can blame everything on Cassius as long as Valentine and Jason are released. I thought that was an interesting deal that she made. I think it's gonna be a good deal. However, she's gonna have to deal with Lizel. Lizo is not gonna like it. She knows Cassius wasn't as deep in it as Colum was. I think Lizo is is gonna be after Jocelyn, and that's on her. She didn't she did not have to do that. If the WSB gets bad press, so what? They've had bad press before, it's not a huge deal. It is what it is. But hey, we'll probably see Valentine Jason soon, sometime this month. It is July sweeps, so I think I think it's gonna be interesting to see how Jason has been. I'm looking forward to seeing how Jason stuff is going to be. And then next up, we have the sitwell stuff going on at Ava's gallery. That was a hot mess. We have you know, um, sitwell coming in. He wants to get Ava. Ava pretty much flipped the bird at him and said F you pretty much to sitwell. She's like, I ain't going nowhere. I think Sitwell's kind of surprised, but I'm like, you talking to Ava the Jerome. She ain't going nowhere with anybody. And of course, Turner is there, so it seemed like Sitwell knew about Sonny and Turner, right?
SPEAKER_00Yep, it's yep, it does. It seemed like he knew.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I was like, oh, okay, so Sitwell knew about them. And of course, Sunny had baited Sitwell, Sitwell snapped. I thought it was funny watching this whole scene because the actor that plays Sitwell and the person who plays Turner, they are married in real life. So with him smelling her hair was hilarious. I wouldn't be surprised if they both were laughing their butts off after all that. Because I know I would be. I I thought it was really fun, but he finds them that call him is the one that took out Marco, and that's how Sitwell went down. Now, Sidwell's not gone, of course. He's not unalive, like allegedly, Column is. Do you do you see Sitwell coming back? If so, how?
SPEAKER_00I see him coming back. I'm not sure how they're gonna do it. I mean, shoot, they did it with um God, what was the other guy? Cyrus. So they're gonna find a way to bring him back, but um, yes, he's definitely coming back, or they they wouldn't have had it like that. He just would have been unalive down there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, so I believe that they definitely and they might even show him in prison. True. You know, so he might not be gone at all at all. I thought it was good that they just took him off to prison, but it was jacked up though that he Ethan, because he was gonna shoot Ava. Once Ava went off on him, she he was gonna shoot her, but Ethan jumped in front and got shot in in the butt. That was hilarious, though. When him and Ava was back there in the room after they had escaped, being out there with Sidwell, and she was like, You got shot in the ass? I was cracking up. I said that was hilarious. They about to put Ethan with um Ava. Oh yeah, we can definitely. And I told you, I told you, podcast after podcast, that is not Ethan's child. And he finally admitted it. I told you. Nope, not his kid.
SPEAKER_02So the question is who is it?
SPEAKER_00Right. He's protecting that baby from whoever the dad is, but I told you, I said that is not his kid. That is not his kid.
SPEAKER_02That's gonna be messy when whoever the father is finds out about Phoebe. Cause in Brooklyn, I'm just gonna say Brooklyn, not Chase. Brooklyn will have to fight for Phoebe. So we shall see how all that's gonna go when the father does come into Port Charles, probably sometime this month, because July sweeps is on and popping. So this week was a lot. I'm exhausted from everything, and I hope everybody enjoyed this week's Jira Spital. Thank you so much for listening to our podcast. Thanks for following, leaving us a comment. We really appreciate you and have a wonderful week. Until next time. Bye, everyone.
