Hi, everybody. Welcome back to our podcast. If you are new, welcome. If you are one of our regular viewers, thank you. We appreciate you. So let's get started. Let's jump into it. Tomas proposed to Kat. I was glad she turned them down. So what did you think about it?

I think we're all happy about that one. Because I was like, Kat, don't say yes to this man. Y'all know. Y'all not ready. Yeah, I mean, they're they're not even living together right now. It's like, come on. But I feel like their relationship is at a standstill. It hasn't had much movement in their. I don't know. I feel like she has to work overtime in this relationship. It's it it's exhausting to watch. It must be more exhausting to be in it. But it was a bit embarrassing because he did this in front of the family and the audacity of him interrupting Vernon Dupree. I said, oh no, he didn't. I was a little bit annoyed with that, but I'm glad that she turned him down. Chelsea was, I think Chelsea was the most happiest about it. Because I think most of everybody was like, no, she shouldn't marry him. And I I'm glad she turned him down. What I didn't like was that she brought a condo for them. And Tomasa at first was like, no, because I want people think I'm with you for your money and blah, blah, blah. And I'm just like, what's the problem? So are they moving in together or not? Because I was a little confused on the on the ending of that. Um, yes.

So he said that he would do it only if he pays her rent and he pays the utilities. I think when it comes to Tomas and Kat, they're just on different pages. And I think that's why it's it's a lot of work, probably for both of them, because they're not on the same page at all about anything. I think what Kat needs to do actually is not move in with him, but actually have a conversation with him. And I think she'll see that they're probably not compatible for each other. Because I think if they sat down and honestly talked about what they want to see in the future out of each other, I think they'll both realize maybe they made a mistake and they need to go ahead and call off their relationship. But they need to have one of those conversations like, you want to have kids? How many do you want to have? What do you want to live? What do you, you know, they need to have like that kind of conversation. Okay, if we had kids, then which should gonna be your parenting style? What's gonna be your parenting style? So I just think they need to have a conversation. I think if they went through their list of things that they're looking for in a partner, they might realize that they shouldn't even be together. Because he's because he's old school, he told her that, where she's not. So that that's a red flag right there that they need to meet, sit down and have an honest conversation about a lot of stuff.

Well, I feel Kat needs to have an honest conversation with herself. Remember a long time ago, she stayed with Tomas because she didn't want Tomas to be with Eva. And what did what did Tomas do? He went straight to Eva's and was like, hey, I need to talk to you. Luckily, Isaiah was cool with it because I thought he would have an issue, but he like, nah, I can see y'all two needs to talk. I'm gonna go get Eva stuff because Eva's been really hungry lately. I hope she needs she's not pregnant. I really hope they don't write that that way. But but her appetite is really high right now. And I was glad that Eva went off on Tomas and was like, are you trying to do the same thing again? Tomas like, oh no, I don't have any friends. It's like, dude, you need to get some friends. Like, he could have gone to Andre about this, or maybe Jacob about it. He could have gone to somebody else but Eva, and he chose to do that. And I agree with Chelsea. If if there's an issue between Kat and Tomas and she thinks he's gonna go with another woman, is it really is it really worth putting the effort into that relationship? Because he showed her who he was a long time ago. And I just don't like Kat. I feel like she's doing like the most to keep on to him. And my thing is why? Because you said you were kind of with him because you didn't want Eva to have him. Eva is happy with Isaiah. So why are you still with Tomas? Is it because you you still have this expectation of the first person that I'm I'm intimate with, I'm supposed to stay with? Because that's that's the vibe that that that I'm getting from it.

Well, I like the conversation that she had with Mona and um how was the other lady?

Yeah, that's it, Gian. So I was glad that she had that conversation with them because it kind of gave her something to also think about. Um, but she really needs to think it through. I don't think she signed off on the condo yet because um Deanna's supposed to be helping with that. But I hope she hasn't signed. And I just wish she would go back to Tomas and they sit down and have a conversation because Tomas is over there calling his mom and telling her that Kat basically turned down a proposal, and his mom is asking him about kids and all kinds of stuff. Well, how do you know if Cat wants to have kids? I never saw them have a conversation yet about kids at all.

Nope. I don't recall one either, and also the pressure from Bill with his hypocritical butt saying how he wants a family kind of atmosphere with his sperm. So he's getting Bill and his mom on him about marrying Kat. My question is, does he really love Kat or does he feel pressured to marry her because of Bill and his family?

I actually, in that moment when he called his mom, I thought about the whole Bill thing too. And I actually felt sorry for him because he is being pressure on both sides. And he needs to figure out if he wants to spend the rest of his life with Kat. He's saying he does, but does he really? And I yeah, I just feel like they need to maybe go to some kind of couples therapy or something where they can, you know, kind of go through are they compatible with each other? Because I just feel like if they sit down and start really talking to each other, they might find out they're not. I think moving in together would be good for them because that's gonna definitely tell you if you want to be with this person or not. You know, does he put the toilet seat down? Does he leave it up? Do you go in there and fall your behind up in there because he didn't let the toilet seat down? So yeah, I need them to go ahead and move in then. If they're not gonna have a conversation, then let's get some scenes with them living together. Who drinks coffee? Who drinks tea? Like, what's going on here?

Yeah. I think it's also sad that Kat found a place before her father. Theodore, why are you still at the hotel, man? Not gonna move out anytime soon.

What's going on, Theodore? Like, oh my gosh. Well, I I think a lot of us wish that Kat and Tomash would break up. They they just don't have the chemistry. And if Kat were to be with someone, maybe bring on Luke. Luke Hawthorne can come on. I wouldn't mind seeing him. Maybe he's a bad boy, somewhat type. I don't know, but Kat Tomash is not work they're not working out for me. And I think many people see that. And maybe when they do move in together, Kat would see how much she's twisting herself a bit for him. And at some point, she will leave. It's just a matter of time. I feel like we know somebody who stayed in a relationship a bit too long. And you could tell them over and over again, like Chelsea, like, is he really worth fighting for? Some point they will figure it out.

Yep. I I think I think them moving in would be great because then they can figure it out, and it's gonna happen so fast, it's not even funny. Because if he's a mess and she's not that that's gonna be a deal breaker right there.

And the condos in her name, so she can kick him out real quick. Be like, well, this is my condo, I brought it with my money, so skedaddle.

Well, well, and well, and Tomas is smart because he told her he's not gonna give his place up, and I thought that was smart of him to not give his place up because deep down he might know it might not work, especially once they live together, because everybody's gonna bring their little stupid habits, and then you gotta figure out okay, this is a deal breaker, is this something I can deal with?

That's true. I look forward to them breaking up very soon. Yes, I said it. I said it. Okay. Next up, we got Joey axing, Randy to look into Deanna. And I I feel sorry for Deanna because I feel like Randy is like a piece of her father that she misses. And of course, Deanna's like, Joey sucks, he's a horrible person. And Randy tells Joey this. I don't know what Randy's gonna do because this is his childhood, you know, best friend's daughter that he known since she was little. I don't I don't know what Randy is is gonna do about this.

I yeah, makes makes silence about it. So with Randy, so when Joey asked Randy, Randy's facial expression was like, hell no. He does not want to do Joey's bidding when it comes to Deanna. But at the same time, I was shocked that he told Joey, like, yeah, she can't stand you. So I was kind of like, what are you doing, Randy? Because I figured he would look out for Deanna's. I don't know. I do not know.

I'm not sure how he's gonna play it. I mean, I think as long as Deanna isn't in danger, I think Randy's gonna be fine with it. It's when Joey might say, Okay, need you to set her up, kind of thing. I think that's when Randy might push back on it. I I'm not really sure how Randy is going to play this. Um, because Deanna knows Joey ain't right. If she's supposed to be working with Vanessa, and Vanessa is just like, oh, I'm just so happy my daughter is back in my life. It's like you don't find that sus at all, Vanessa. Like, nothing sus about it. So I'm glad Joey is like, I'm not going to prison for nobody. So he's trying to cover up his tracks through her business, which is good. I don't blame Joey for doing that. My thing is if Deanna does find something about Vanessa and Joey, will she turn him in, knowing that Vanessa could be hurt too?

Probably so. So, yes. I mean, I I would think so.

Yeah, maybe. Well, especially when she finds out how everything went down with her father. She's like, oh, so you were over here on the island when my father was struggling, which is true. Vanessa did not help Doug at all. She just like, Doug, you suck. You're you're this, she that. I'm gonna go into Bismuth Joey. She didn't have to do that. She could have been like, okay, Joey, how much? Here's a check. Doug, you you need to go to rehab. She didn't do none of that. She she her her goal was to sleep with Joey. Oh, if Deanna does go down that rabbit hole with Vanessa and try to take her out, I wouldn't blame her, but Donnell would be very upset about it, though, because that's their last living parent.

If Vanessa got word that Joey was gonna probably harm her daughter in some way, Vanessa's gonna go ham on Joey for sure. And she probably will figure out whatever she can, whatever dirt on him to, you know, turn him in. Because I believe that she will protect Deanna. Um, she didn't help, like you said, with Doug, but I I believe she will with her daughter. I was glad that Joey said he's gonna pull the business, the real estate business back right now, since Deanna's gonna be working in Vanessa's office where you know they deal with real estate. Because when she told Deanna, like, hey, okay, yeah, you can come work for me. I'm like, Vanessa, what are you talking about? He's laundering money through your real estate company. Do you not think that your bright, smart daughter won't figure that out? She's gonna figure it out at some point. So I just was like, Vanessa is just off her rocker right now, so I don't know what she's doing.

Well, she's very oblivious to stuff. Like it's it's right in your face, and she just be like, I don't see anything that's right there in her face. I don't see nothing around here. It's annoying watching Vanessa at times. At least the girl can dress sharp.

All the time. But next up, we got Martin and Kat. I didn't like Kat apologizing to Martin. I was like, for what? Why are you apologizing to Martin? Uh it didn't make any sense to me, but I am glad that Martin did apologize to Kat. And Martin kind of has the same mindset of Ted, like, oh well, maybe you and Eva could be sister. Kat is like, don't push it. That's not gonna happen. So I am liking Kat letting go of the hatred she had for Eva because I got tired of them going back and forth. I I'm just glad that they're at an okay place for now. And then Tyrell rocks in with tattoo with the look with the letter J. Now, do you believe him when he said it means June? Absolutely.

No, absolutely not. That boy is strong.

He's doing everything he can to keep her there. Everything he can to keep her there. I'm like, Tyrell, it ain't gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. Let it go. And he just won't do it. I could see Jessica leaving and him maybe following her, like moving out there. If so, he better have a scholarship because I'm not paying to die.

You know what it'd be a good storyline, and I hate to say this.

You better not say if she got pregnant. I know 18 years old, have to know the way. Oh my gosh, I do not want to see that. Well, on the flip side, we got Grayson at Uptown with Ashley. That bartender, I was like, what? What's your issue, man? Like, what's what's going on? He just had an attitude. And Grayson got a part-time job at Uptown, so maybe we'll start seeing Uptown a bit more because we haven't seen Uptown that much in the past few weeks. So I think it'd be cool for him to work there. I don't get why he didn't do that before, though. Because he used to be a bartender.

I don't either. Instead of doing the plasma stuff, yeah. Yeah, I don't get that either. But yeah, I was glad he was able to get the job and he had all that money and he's good at it. So I said it worked out.

Yep, he's really good at it. So I'm actually happy for Grayson. I I don't mind Grayson and Ashley. I can watch them and be okay with it. I'm not like dozing off or zoning out or fast forwarding with them. I think they're actually pretty good. Just take them slow. I don't want some fast-paced stuff. Just just ease into it. And Ashley did help Jacob with Jacob and Naomi's anniversary present, which was Year of the Wood, which is a five-year uh for for marriage. I thought it was sweet for Jacob to focus on Naomi because he's been all about work for months, even after he came back from being undercover, which wasn't that great. So I'm glad he's focusing on her. And she finally told him about the Rock and Jane. Finally, if she wants to see uh plastic surgeon about getting a double misectomy. I was like, mmm, as the female, I'm not sure what I would have done. I don't know if I could go through with that. Well, I know.

Well, I know when Danny went to go talk to Ashley about it, and and Ashley did ask Danny, like, kind of, I think what was the direction she was going. Danny said she wasn't gonna do that. She was just gonna make sure that she get her exams and things like that. Um, I probably would do the same thing Danny would do and just get the exams because even though they tell you that, that still doesn't mean that you're gonna have it, you know, at some point. I I I would have followed the direction that Danny was thinking, but you know, to each his own. Everybody gotta make their own decision, feel comfortable with those decisions at the end of the day that they decide to make about their body. It's nothing wrong with Naomi's decision to do that. Um, but yeah, for me, I would have gone the route Danny did too.

Yeah, probably that. I I don't know. I won't know until I'm actually in it. And instead, I was just thinking about I'm just not gonna really worry about it unless something does happen. I think it's just one of those situations where I don't want to do all that. I I think I'm like cat. Like, I don't want to know. If something happens, it happens. I don't want it floating over my head.

That's just I mean, yeah, no, because you still should go in. Every woman should and get their and get their screenings like every for me. I have to go every year. I think it's important everybody goes in when they're supposed to and get those screenings because it can save your life and not ignore it, because then you might be unalive because you could have just gone and got it, and then maybe they caught it early, and then you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, a life could have been saved. So I just think everybody definitely um make sure that you go in and get those screenings done like you're supposed to, as well as those PAPS ladies, go in and get those as well. I know I know it's horrible to get there, and you know, but get them done because all that stuff is important to go in and get those, you know, physicals, you know, those annually, you know, things done.

It was really funny how Monica was like, yeah, I'm gonna stop the the uh free free clinic and garland working together. And Leslie like, huh? And then I thought Leslie was gonna go off on Monica, but she didn't. She was, you know, very calm. She talked about the community, not about herself as usual. And Monica was like, All right, I guess you have changed. And Leslie, like, oh, okay. Well, luckily, I I'm not my old self because I would have snatched a ball. I was like, Leslie, come on.

I was like, Leslie, please, it's dope. But they shook hands on it. So, uh, okay, all right. I thought it was uh pretty interesting.

It was it was it was funny, and then Leslie with Darlene. I don't blame Darlene for having her guard up with Leslie because people don't change overnight. No, this is Leslie. She'd done way too much for people to be like, oh, she's changed different. No, people are gonna have your guard up, but at least Leslie was making an effort to be like, okay, I'll be cool with you as long as you're cool with me because our children are in love, so let's just be calm around each other. So I thought that was nice, and then Jacob going to see Eva and Isaiah because I feel like Jacob really didn't have a beef with Eva, it was mostly Leslie. But I did like that Jacob, you know, was there to check up on him, and Isaiah was saying that Darlene had brought some food over, and Jacob's like, oh, that's a really good sign. Isaiah's like, I don't know. So do you feel like Isaiah is too hard on his family, or do you think that we just don't know enough information to understand his reaction?

Okay, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Um, I think at this point we just gotta see how they they're gonna write it. But remember, it was a scene with um it was Jacob and Naomi, they were getting married. Jacob's dad was going off on um Isaiah. So that was kind of hard to watch when they had did like that flashback. So at this point, I just think we gotta wait and see, but it's definitely more to it. Can't wait till they get down to their storyline so we can learn a little bit more about what was going on in the past there. And like you said, I hope they bring on Luke so we can also see, you know, how his character is supposed to be. Because he's supposed to be a police officer in Detroit. So I definitely want to see that character come on and you know, just kind of get the history behind the the Hawthorns.

Yeah, because there's some residual anger there. I think it's why. What's going on? Why did Isaiah decide to be this bad boy kind of dude? I mean, we we kind of see how Elon is out with Isaiah. He be going off on him so hard. So I kind of get it, but I need more information about that whole family dynamic. Because his guard is really up around everybody. I mean, even with Jacob, it's still kind of up because he still calls him the golden boy. You know, it's like you're not gonna want to let that go. I don't know. But I would like to get to know them a bit more. I think it would be cool to know more than the Duprees. To me, it's the Hawthorns and the Belle Claire's. I want to get to know them, know them a bit more beyond the gates. Bring it on. Next up we got Bill. Bill. Bill. Bill, what's going on? Bill, I guess the poison finds took a fet months later. She'd been poisoning him since what? November or something?

It's been going on for a long time. So now it's finally kicking in. And Haley is like, oh my gosh, I hope he's okay. And then she got the one eye open. Like, I'm like.

Looking like, I hope he's not okay. I was like, Haley, like, can you do a little bit better about that? But I was surprised at Mike's reaction. I was too. When Bill was having issues. I would thought he'd be like, oh, Bill, what's going on? You know, I thought he would do that. He he knew Bill. He knew something wasn't right. I thought that was really interesting of him doing that and just walked out. But I don't know what's going on with Bill. It could be another like neurological thing, but or it could be no uh uh like because I mean what what's the poison supposed to do?

It's supposed to at some point on a lot of them, the symptoms that he was starting to have because he wasn't able to talk at the deposition. So I'm just wondering is he having a stroke? Like what's going on with him? Hopefully, they go ahead and call EMS so they can quickly get him over to the hospital.

Oh my gosh, yes. Because you know, something because this looks pretty serious. He's going through this, and hopefully Madison can find out what's going on when she starts testing his um his blood. And um, hopefully she can put it together. There's something that's in his blood that shouldn't be there. I hope she can figure it out because I wonder how it's gonna play out at this point. But man, that was hard to watch him struggling like that.

I I I kind of do because Haley's wrong, and I'm I'm just waiting for them to go ahead and really target this storyline because it's been dragging out for a while, and I just want them to go ahead and wrap this up. Yeah, I need them to wrap it up at this point.

Yeah, but could be funny. I think it was last August about her connie and it's rare in July already. So hopefully they do wrap this up. My question is how are they gonna do it? Will she get away with it? Like, what's gonna happen? And this could be where Leslie teams up with Haley.

Hmm, maybe I'll because Leslie can't stand Bill, so yeah, I can see them teaming up.
