The Carers' Meditation Podcast
Caring for someone living with dementia rarely leaves room for a moment that's just yours. The Carers' Meditation Podcast exists to give you exactly that — free, guided meditations designed specifically for unpaid carers, five to seven minutes at a time, whenever you can find the space.
No experience needed. No chanting, no jargon, no pressure to do it "right." Just a friendly voice and a few minutes that belong entirely to you.
The podcast is created by Alison Watson-Shields, MSc Dementia Studies and founder of Young at Heart ULO CIC, drawing on over 20 years of dementia care experience to make something that speaks directly to what caring actually feels like — the exhaustion, the guilt, the small moments of joy, and everything in between.
Season 1: 55 episodes available now.
Season 2: new episodes every Monday morning, Starting September 7th.

Wave of Relaxation Meditation | For Dementia Carers
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The Wave of Relaxation Meditation for unpaid carers uses gentle ocean imagery to support rhythmic tension release and deep calm.
With each breath, you're invited to imagine the stress of caring for someone living with dementia being carried away like a retreating tide — leaving your body lighter and more at ease.
Especially helpful for carers who feel emotionally or physically overloaded and need a soft, gentle way to reset.
Find a quiet space, get comfortable, and allow the waves of relaxation to do the work for you.
Suitable for anyone supporting someone living with dementia, whether at home or in a professional care role.
