The Melting Stress Guided Rest is a deeply calming guided meditation for unpaid carers — designed to help you release tension, reset your nervous system, and find stillness in the middle of a demanding caring role.
Using gentle body awareness, slow breathing, and soothing visualisation, this guided rest practice helps you let go of accumulated stress and quiet the thoughts that so often keep carers from truly resting.
For those supporting someone living with dementia, stress can feel relentless. This meditation offers something simple and restorative — a genuine pause, not just a break.
You may wish to listen lying down somewhere comfortable, allowing yourself to fully arrive in the stillness.
Perfect for evenings, difficult days, moments of burnout, or anytime you need to let go.
Press play, settle in, and allow the stress to gently melt away.
Suitable for anyone supporting someone living with dementia, whether at home or in a professional care role.

Well can this we have this meditation for that? It's meditation, it's called the melting breath. This is a deeply relaxing practice. Designed to help your body suffer and your mind. It may help to lie down to the more comfortable. Allowing your arms to rest on the body of the heart. There's nothing you need to do, or you need to do it just breathing. And allowing yourself to rest at any point you don't focus on or even focusing on that's completely okay. Remember if your mind wanders during this meditation, that's completely natural. Just gently guide your attention back whenever you notice. When you're ready, gently close your eyes. Take a slow deep breath in and sigh it out. Not yet, but in just a moment, you'll melt into pure relaxation. Silently repeat, I allow myself to relax. I surrender to stillness. I allow myself to relax. I surrender to stillness. I allow myself to relax. I surrender to stillness. There is no need to force anything. Just letting the words settle softly within you. Like gentle warmth melting away tension. Now bring your attention to your forehead. Feel it soften and release. Down to your shoulders. Feel them dropping down and letting go. Continuing down to your hands. Warm loose at ease. Down now to your legs and your feet. Feeling heavy, supported, resting deeply. Notice your breath moving like a slow wave. Easy, steady, effortless, breathing in calm and breathing out tension. Breathing in calm and breathing out tension. Floating gently, feeling calm, supported, nothing to do, nowhere to be, just resting, drifting deeper into stillness with each breath. Begin to bring a little awareness back into your body. Notice the surface beneath you. Notice your breath moving gently in and out. Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes. And when you're ready, gently open your eyes, bringing this sense of calm and softness with you into the rest of your day. Thank you for taking this time to rest. I'll see you next week for the next care as meditation.
