Stine:

Welcome back to Overflow Funnels, the podcast for creative entrepreneurs who want sustainable freedom. First marketing strategies that actually convert. I'm your host, Stina, and today I'm coming for the myth that blogging is dead because here's the hard truth. Blogging isn't that boring, disconnected blogging is. So if you've been ignoring your blog posting at random or feeling like no one reads blogs anymore, this episode is going to shift all of that for you. So let's talk about why your blog isn't working and how to fix it. Okay, so you've probably heard it before. No one reads, reads, blogs anymore. Everything is video. Just post on Instagram and talk to your audience on stories. Maybe you've even tried blogging, maybe you've posted a few things and got. Mm. Nothing. No clicks. No signups. No inquiries. So you gave up, moved on, focused on platforms that felt, felt louder. But let me ask you this. If someone Googles branding for wellness coaches, are they hoping to find a ten second reel or a thoughtful, helpful blog post that actually answers their questions? Think about it. Your clients are searching, they're Googling, they're pinning and blogging still works if you use it, right? So let's start with the biggest shift. Blogging isn't just for updates or thought dumps. It's not a dear diary. It's a search engine tool. It should answer. The exact things your dream clients are typing into Google or Pinterest. Questions like, how do I choose a brand designer, uh, fund poses to do on my wedding day, what to include in my website about page, how to. Sell my offers, like anything that they would search for and every post should be strategic. It should be helpful and it should be clear and rooted in what people are already trying to find. Another reason your might, your blog might not be working is dead ends. So I see a lot of people having their blogs up and they're doing their thing. They're posting consistently, but there's nowhere for people to go. It's like a content graveyard. People go there to die, okay? It's not that deep, but people publish post, move on. But your blog should connect to your funnel. Every single one should lead the reader, reader somewhere to a freebie, a discovery call your service page, a strategy session, another blog post your Instagram, like whatever it might be. You need to have a CTA that converts. Uh. Action for them to take something that will build trust, something that will make them get to know you better. It's that simple. Okay, so let's talk about synergy. Your blog doesn't live in a vacuum. It's not there on its own. It's part of a big old system. You write the blog, you pin it to Pinterest so people can find you. You share it in your emails, you share it to socials, so subscribers keep coming back. You repurpose it everywhere. In captions, carousels, reels, TikTok threads, LinkedIn. And you don't have to create something from scratch every time. Like one blog post can become 10 Pinterest pins. You could probably have like three or four emails switching up the angles. You can create several Instagram content pieces, reels, carousels, tiktoks, like whatever it might be, that where you are, where you're where you're alive. So it's not just. One thing is the core of the overflow funnel because it's not just blogging. It's blogging with a plan. So to answer the question we started with, is blogging dead? No. What is dead is the idea that you can throw. A few paragraphs online and expect clients to magically show up. Blogging is where trust gets built and when it's a part of your funnel connected to Pinterest, supported by email, it works quietly, consistently, and sustainably. If you're burnt out from social media, if you are tired of chasing trends, your blog might be the ma most powerful tool you've. You've been underusing, so I hope that this episode has you rethinking how you use your content. I want you to grab the F free overflow funnel mini map below.
