Ready, ready. Hey everyone, welcome back to the latest episode of Snitchin' it's your host, kristen and Brittany. Get ready for the best part of your day, and it's Friday, so we know it's a happy day. Happy Friday, snitches. Happy Friday, snitches. We made it. It's an especially happy Friday for me because I had a great night of sleep last night. Oh, I just need to say my evolution with sleep has been like a wild ride over the past. Yeah, I'd say to that you can attest to that when I was younger truly could sleep anywhere.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you were like the best sleeper I knew. I'd say like like on a cement floor, truly, you could fall asleep.
Speaker 1:Truly I'd be happy as a clam, like, have a great night's sleep, not think a thing of it. I mean, thank goodness I still can sleep very well on planes. I think my body it's almost like, it's almost like a trigger that you know, once I get on a plane and I hear the noise, it's like, oh, time to go to bed, and I just go to sleep and it's a gift, that's a gift, yeah it true, and I don't.
Speaker 2:Here's the thing, though with age.
Speaker 2:I've come to appreciate that gift like I know it's a gift now. Yeah. Yeah, I know I feel like I am very good sleeper but I need to be like in a bed, like in the right, right setting, but like I don't have problems falling asleep and stuff knock on wood and it is a gift, yeah it's a gift, I mean, and when I was younger and could sleep on a cement floor, I did not realize that this would not always be the case and I definitely took it for granted.
Speaker 1:So just PSA, you know, have some gratitude if you are a good sleeper, because it really is a game changer. But I have been trying. Honestly. It was Mish who, like she's not even going to remember this conversation, but maybe, like a year ago or something, I was complaining about the fact that I can never fall asleep, like I just have racing thoughts. It's really hard for me to calm myself down at night, or not calm myself down, but just like shut my brain off. She was like well, are you on your phone before you go to bed? I'm like yeah. She was like well, are you on your phone before you go to bed? I'm like yeah. She's like do you have a routine? I'm like no, as simple as, like you know, when you put a kid down for bed. You like do the routine you get them ready? Yeah, what is the bedtime routine in your house for your kids?
Speaker 2:that's a good question. I mean, we do tubs most nights, probably every other, and then I don't. Well, they're a little bit older now. Connor watches his kindle in bed, and then tyler will go into bed. We'll read like three books and then he just goes into bed. I am lucky.
Speaker 1:Both my kids are pretty good sleepers too that's nice from, yeah, from what I hear, that's a fucking blessing, so it wasn't always like that right, because wasn't tyler not always the best sleeper?
Speaker 2:yeah, connor slept through the night at like nine weeks old and connor I tyler didn't sleep through the night until he was like eight months old. Wow, what a difference. I know well. It was a little harder with tyler because, like if he woke up and was screaming, he'd wake up connor so like we had to get him up more. It was was a little harder to like sleep train. Yeah, just like. Let him cry it out Once, connor wakes up game over.
Speaker 1:But you know what though this is, I wonder if this is at all like a nature nurture thing, like they grew up in the same environment. But one's a good sleeper, one's not, like how, I don't know. You know, it just begs the question, like, are some people innately better at sleeping than others? I don't know. I think yes, you think yes, yeah, yeah. I mean that your situation would like beg to say yes, I guess between your two kids. But yeah, I would agree, I would agree. Yeah, but anywho, I have been trying to get into like a better routine at night. So I'm not looking at my phone, I'm just trying to get my screen time time down, like in general.
Speaker 1:I feel like when we talked about our screen time, and I don't know why I'm saying scream time screen time you have like way less screen time than I do and I was like, okay, I'm going to try to be more conscious this month. I'm obviously, you know, I'm doing sober September. I'm like let's just try to get into a good, just good habits going, you know, for the month, and so I'm not looking at my phone, like for the, you know, a couple hours before bed. I'm trying to get my screen time down and I now have a fan in my room. That's like blowing air on me. That's really helping. And now, no, it's. I told. I mean, I forgot about that. Yes, or my sister, Melissa, is the one who, like really pushed me on the fan. She was like I cannot sleep without a fan. When she came to visit me in London, she brought a portable fan and she left it with me and that's really what started this whole thing was, in terms of the fan, just realizing how great it is.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I've been trying to be better about like little Amazon purchases, but I may have to break it for that.
Speaker 1:Oh, I have an extra one. I'll bring it to you tomorrow. Oh, perfect, perfect, okay, great, it's like a little one, so you can just see how you feel about it. But I upgraded this month to like a, really I mean, it's bedside. It's small, no, no, larger than 12 inches tall, but, dang, this thing is a powerhouse. So I, you know, I have that going. And my newest thing this month is I have like a little sleep playlist that I've been listening to. Nice, six songs, brittany, without fail. By song three, I'm out. Oh, what's on it? Okay, it's um, hold on, let me pull it up. I have it on my Apple music. It's very, yeah, just like very slow. So the first song is you'll know it. If you to it, nothing's gonna hurt you, baby. It's by the artist cigarettes after sex. I actually found it because, oh, I know that one you know that one yeah, it was on handmaid's tale.
Speaker 2:I know yeah taylor.
Speaker 1:Put it in a playlist. Mazzy star, fade into you you know that one too it's like, okay, yeah, I'm not gonna say it, but you know it, it's like a 90s song. And then the one that I'm always out by is Ryan Adams' cover of Taylor's Out of the Woods.
Speaker 2:Oh, interesting, I feel like that would keep me awake?
Speaker 1:No, it's no. No. The other ones are treacherous, but I never even make it to that one. Birds of a Feather, Billie Eilish, and then this one song that you might not know I love it. It's like I don't know the band at all, but I heard it on I don't know where I heard it, Some soundtrack or something. Your ex lover is dead by the artist stars yeah, so good so I just want to.
Speaker 2:I feel like birds of a feather is a random. It's weird in there. Yeah, that's probably. It's a little more upbeat.
Speaker 1:You're not wrong, but I think I kept it because, like, I literally never make it to that song. Yeah, yes, foolproof I'm. I'm so jazzed like interesting.
Speaker 2:I feel like that would be hard to make a sleep playlist, because it's like you wouldn't want it to be songs that you like too much. True, like you almost want them to be songs that like you don't like but that you can listen to.
Speaker 1:I guess I don't know the first three songs are just like incredibly slow paced. I mean like, and it's like a lot of repetition. I think that's part of it. You know, I don't know if that's like the secret sauce, or maybe it also just might be a mental thing where now I believe that I will fall asleep when I listen to it, so like, yeah, I just fall asleep, yeah.
Speaker 2:But I'm. I would have the opposite reaction. That would give me anxiety Cause I'd be like oh my God, I'm not asleep. It's birds of a feather, it's on. I'm not asleep Like I'm, I'm, I'm awake all night. Now I'm not sleeping.
Speaker 1:That's fair. That's fair. Yeah, no, I mean I can. I definitely can understand that, but it seems to be working. So I'm like holding onto this playlist for dear life, nice. So if anyone else you know is having issues and wants to borrow the playlist. You heard the. You heard the track list and feel free.
Speaker 1:We would love to hear, or I would love to hear, if it's helping you at all. But yeah, all's to say that this Friday is a very happy Friday because I am fresh as a daisy right now, you know, got my eight hours. I haven't felt like that in a while. Well, you also yeah, I mean you have a full household.
Speaker 2:I'm just trying to manage this one body and it's even though I do sleep on the weekends like I will sleep like nine hours, 10 hours.
Speaker 1:You know now that you say that, I will say I love like whenever obviously we've traveled a ton together. You like, I think, because you are so regimented, which is amazing. I've always. I think one of the things I've always most appreciated or, I don't know, admired about Brit is that she's like a very disciplined person and I feel like during the week you're really disciplined. You get up, you always do your workouts, you go to bed on time, like all the things, but I appreciate that you give yourself like the weekends to totally just snooze if you need to. And I've noticed that when we travel, you're not one to be like we need to get up and do this and do this. You're like no, we're on vacation.
Speaker 2:My body needs to sleep, I'm going to sleep and that's a good mentality. I think, yeah, and honestly, it's not. It's less discipline, it's more. Just, I'm tired. That's when I'm tired. No, yeah, that's fair, that's fair. I go to bed early, not because I'm like, oh, I need to go to bed at nine. It's because I'm like I can't keep my eyes open anymore. But yeah, but yeah. Wow, look at you nailing down the nighttime routine. You got your morning routine. Did you buy the crossword?
Speaker 1:puzzles. No, but I've made the decision that I am going to subscribe. They got me. I'm really missing Letterboxd. I love that. Tiles and Letterboxd are two of the best games I just you know, I need it. I need it in the morning. So Fair, you got her. New York Times, yeah, new York Times, you got me. So, yeah, that's going to happen, that's on the horizon, but, anywho, should we get into our pop culture topics for the day? Yeah, let's do it, let's do it. We've got a lot to talk about and we're going to start with the one that I'm like most excited about.
Speaker 1:Hilary Duff is planning her return to music. I love this, I love this. Okay, so Hilary Duff, she's announcing her return to music. It's been 10 years. She's also teasing a new docu-series that's going to kind of show like the behind the scenes story of getting back into music. It's going to have interviews, performances and what's most exciting is that she's going to also show videos from her personal archives. So we're going to get, like I think, behind the scenes footage from the Lizzie McGuire Cinderella story, metamorphosis days and man, it's going to be so good. Yeah, I'm like more excited for that that. Yeah, I am too. I mean metamorphosis, her first album. It came out in 2003. I have vivid memories, like flashbulb memories of listening to that cd. Like you're a basement in my basement, but also in my bedroom.
Speaker 1:But I'm sure we listen to that all the time in my basement yeah, I remember what listening to on the futon.
Speaker 2:I literally remember being in your basement with the futon and having the CD. I'd be like, oh my gosh, she's so pretty, I love this song. But then she kind of fell off. I'm like what are her other I don't remember most wanted she made a bunch of albums.
Speaker 1:I don't know any of her other music at all Right. Why.
Speaker 2:I don't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know. I mean I feel like her, I think just her star in general was big around that time, because it was definitely right after the Lizzie McGuire days, which obviously that was huge for every single millennial. When did Cinderella Story come out? Because that was also a really big movie and she did a few others. But that story come out, Cause that was also a really big movie and she did, she did a few others, but that was like the one. I think that was biggest.
Speaker 2:Cinderella story.
Speaker 1:Let's see 2004,. But also come clean with Laguna beach theme song. So that was. That was big in the zeitgeist at the time Also. So yesterday, it is Okay, I was like so yesterday.
Speaker 2:Also. So Yesterday is okay. I was like so Yesterday is on Metamorphosis. It's the first song, and then it's also on her 2005 Most Wanted album.
Speaker 1:Maybe Most Wanted was like a. Maybe this is like a greatest hits, yeah, like a hits yeah. Yeah, I mean like I feel like Hilary Duff is one of those very specific millennial celebrities where, if you missed her, she's not going to be relevant to you Because she did kind of fade away from the spotlight. She had her kids. She did that show younger, but that's really it in the past.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I feel like she intentionally stepped away a little. I don't think it was like she wasn't good anymore.
Speaker 1:No, agreed. I mean the fact that I saw a stat that after she announced this, the searches for her name on Spotify increased 400%. Streams of her catalog increased 80%, and it was mostly from millennial listeners. Like that just shows how she was so influential back in the day.
Speaker 2:She is like very, I feel, like niche to millennials.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the Liz McGire movie was so good.
Speaker 2:I feel like she was one of the first like big disney channel stars that like became famous.
Speaker 2:But I mean aside from like britney spears and justin timberlake being in mickey mouse club, but like I feel like she was one of the first ones that really blew up because she was right before miley, yeah, right before miley. And then I feel like after miley, like she was one of the first ones that really blew up because she was right before Miley, yeah, right before Miley. And then I feel like after Miley, like it was just a domino effect.
Speaker 1:Miley, selena, jonas Brothers, demi Lovato that whole crew Demi. Lovato yep, they must have looked up to Hilary Duff big time because they were like right after her time and she was definitely the biggest Disney star, yeah, but, and she was definitely the biggest Disney star, but she also kind of coincided with, like even Stevens, shia LaBeouf, yep.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, shia LaBeouf was another one, yeah. And do you remember she starred in Cadet Kelly? Oh my God, I forgot about that one. Yeah, and they do like the gun dances with like the rifles. No, but the Lizzie mcguire movie is iconic, iconic, oh, it's so good man I forgot. You haven't even talked about how much you loved lizzie and gordo. Oh, I loved lizzie and gordo.
Speaker 1:I was a sucker for friends to love her storyline. That was always my favorite type of relationship. I loved the two of them. I remember the scene where he, like, rests her or maybe it's the opposite way, but they're on the way to Rome and the Lizzie McGuire movie and she rests her head on his shoulder, britney's Because you know talk about niche. Oh, my God, Like, like.
Speaker 1:I literally think that that scene was like imprinted in my brain maybe that's why, when our last episode with christiana, we were talking about how airplanes like are romantic, are romantic, that could have been a subliminal thing. That just stuck. Yeah, true, but if you look at that album metamorphosis click on that because I know you're on her Spotify stuff yeah, like I listened to. Well, there's two songs that I was listening to right before we came on here, just like for fun, just to you know, get a little nostalgia, anywhere but here.
Speaker 2:I was just like looking through the list and I was like whoa anywhere? But here I feel like I remember I liked that one but, I don't totally remember it.
Speaker 1:You have to listen to that, everyone. Go and put that on, pause this and go listen to that right now. You are going to get the biggest dose of just pop candy nostalgia it's. Oh man, it was so good. I literally felt like I was transported back to the futon, back to my bedroom. Oh my God, so good. I feel like I was transported back to the futon, back to my bedroom, like, oh my god so good, I feel like sweet 16.
Speaker 2:I remember pretty too a little bit.
Speaker 1:That was the other one. Oh my god, we are on the same page today.
Speaker 2:Yeah, dang yeah I can't wait to do the album review. Oh, I know what. So when's it coming out? Do we know?
Speaker 1:we don't know. Yeah, she it doesn't, it doesn't say, she just said like new music soon. But I'm hoping I mean hopefully by like the end of the year.
Speaker 2:I feel like I never listened to her 2015 album. Kind of interested to hear what that sounds like yeah, I never did either.
Speaker 1:Breathe in, breathe out. I think that they said that's her last one and that's the last one that's listed, right, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:I don't know. She looks great. I feel like she looks the exact same and she looks phenomenal.
Speaker 1:Totally yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:What'd she have? Like three kids.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think she has. Yeah, I think she has a few. So, yeah, we can't wait for that. It's going to be awesome, yay. Speaking of album reviews, should we like quickly touch on swag too, because we did talk about it. Have you been listening?
Speaker 2:I mean listening, not really like in a verb. I listened to it once and could barely get through it. It's really long, it's mind-blowingly bad. Did you listen to the to the whole thing?
Speaker 1:I did listen to the whole thing. Yesterday on my walk I just listened to it through. It's like an hour long, painful. Well, I like the first song, but I think it's because I listened to that one separately, like when we first learned about it Speed Demon I like that one. That's literally the only one that I like have put up, put on. It's all very similar. It's just kind of bland, like yeah, it's trash, it's like shockingly bad.
Speaker 1:I don't think it's gotten good reviews either. I it's like I mean, no wonder it took him four years. The thing, the whole album is like 40 plus songs and like two plus hours. Yeah, but they're all short, yeah, it just. But it just feels like you could have combined. You could have like narrowed down those two albums with the best songs from either side and made a much better album in general.
Speaker 2:Yeah, definitely this reminds me of TTBD, because when I listen to the Ringer podcast, whenever Taylor comes up with a new album and they talk about it and they were critics, critics and like legit and stuff. But the guy was like on the end of torture poets department, like I always think of this. He's like it's like a hostage situation because you're like I have to get through this, but like it's like you're on like peter and robin and blah, blah, blah and like yeah, it's like all right, I gotta get out of this, which like I under like I think the term is funny I don't totally feel like that with ttpd like I definitely not like, but swag too is a fucking hostage situation. Like I could not get off of that fast enough. And then it ended with a seven minute thing about him talking about god no, I, britney, I'm so glad you brought that up.
Speaker 1:I couldn't finish that whole thing like once, I realized I. So I listened to the first few minutes and then I'm like, oh my god, he's going on and on and on. He's talking about like light, that's. You know, there was, there was adam and eve and light, before there was darkness, and it's seven. When I saw it was seven minutes, I was like all right, we're done yeah, like what are you a preacher now?
Speaker 2:could not agree more.
Speaker 1:I was shocked by that how bad it was. 100 also. There's definitely like something with him and hailey and spider-man. He has referenced spider-man. Oh my god, I was gonna say that he has a.
Speaker 2:Spider-Man fetish Totally. What is that? What?
Speaker 1:is that? I don't know. I don't know, but the second song in the album he's talking about like Spider-Man, and then he says it on something on the first he says Spider-Man on your ass.
Speaker 2:Oh, yes, yes, spider-man, but that's in the good that's on the a side of swag.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's exactly, but just something's going on there and I feel like it hasn't been talked about, but they have a thing with spider-man. I don't know I agree.
Speaker 2:I wonder if that's why taylor says spider boy and karma, because I feel like that's always been kind of unknown oh, that's an intro, britney, and that's a good take.
Speaker 1:I never thought about that. Wouldn't Wouldn't have put that together, yeah.
Speaker 2:Well, you know, Spider-Man is a very prevalent character in our household.
Speaker 1:So that is a little bit more top of mind for me. That is true. Connor loves Spidey and Tyler. Oh and Tyler, they're so cute All little boys love Spidey.
Speaker 1:I mean I can see the appeal I feel like of the superheroes. It's like Spider-Man's popular I feel like Batman almost becomes more popular the older you get, like older people, older dudes likes Batman, like Chris's favorite is Batman Right and like the Dark Knight series. I think for at least for people that we know, that was a big that boosted Batman big time I think. And then Superman's just kind of you know, left out in the dust, yeah. Yeah, but anywho let's move on swag to.
Speaker 1:I'm giving it. Don't listen to it. Don't listen to it. It's like a D you don't need to. Don't waste your time.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like he needs a little bit more like I. Yeah, like he needs a little bit more Like I'm all about artists getting more artistic freedom as they become more successful, but he needs some freedom taken away. Some producers got to be like Justin. We got to clean this shit up a little here. Yeah, we got to wrap it up. So don't listen to it, but listen to the first one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, speed Demon's fun. I do like that one, but it's just because yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, I meant like the first album but, yeah, Speed Demon's okay.
Speaker 1:I heard Listen to the first side. The first side's not bad, okay. Moving on, we have some royal news. Prince Harry has reunited with his father, king Charles. He met with his dad at Clarence House, which is the King's home in London, on Wednesday, september 10th. He was inside for around 55 minutes before departing for an evening engagement, and this was the first time that they have seen each other in 19 months. The last time was February 2024. It's also been reported that Prince Harry's new aides and that some of the King's staffers met for the first time in July. So people are thinking that it's, you know, a move that's being viewed as an olive branch and hopefully they can come to some reconciliation, which I'm not, I feel, like you. I mean, you're not like a Royalist, but you, I think, haven't appreciated. Oh, I love the Royals. Yeah, you like the Royals, you like, didn't you watch all of the crown? You know a lot about the history.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, the Crown is so good. I know I like the royals from the history side, but I mean I also like them, like from the celebrity side too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know it's for some reason the royals just don't infiltrate my pop culture like love, like I just don't. That's surprising, I know, I know, especially Because Harry's a redhead Great call, I do love a redhead, yeah, I know. I mean I do think Harry's very cute, don't get me wrong, but I'm just not into him and Meghan I'm just not. I don't know, I don't care. Did you watch the Netflix documentary? I did and it didn't. I feel like we talked about this. I have empathy for Kate. I mean everyone loves Kate and I will say for the friends that I made from the UK, like they double downed on that, everyone loves Kate. I mean a hundred percent. So obviously, like Megan being an actress, being from America, I can see how that was not maybe the most welcome and she was treated differently and obviously there was like the racial allegations of the royal family being racist. I just don't, I just don't like her. I she seems very disingenuous to me. I don't know the way she speaks, I don't care about her show.
Speaker 2:The way she talks is a little condescending. Yeah like, yeah, just not into it. But she was fucking trashed by the british like media. I feel like they're like 10 times worse than america yeah, I, I could, I agree 100.
Speaker 1:So I mean I do feel bad for her, but I just and I do think it's on harry to like, mend the relationship with his family, and you never want to see a family torn apart. So like overall, I'm happy about this.
Speaker 2:I think that king charles is probably dying, and that's why oh, like, I feel, like he doesn't have that much long because I think he has cancer and he's like 70 something yes, that's true, which, like if you watch the crown, king charles sucks.
Speaker 2:Get him off the throne. I want William on there. Wait, why don't we like King Charles? He's just like, he's just a jerk. Oh, really, yeah, I mean, he wasn't nice to Princess Diana. I knew that he was an asshole to her and then like he never like he, like she was the one that really raised them, like he wasn't as involved in like their life until she died. And I think he's the one that, like they kind of hint at, like imply that he's the one that was like making the racist comments and saying that like they don't want, like her, to have royal children or something. I don't know, whatever the racist comments were.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's messed up. Yeah, that's messed up. Yeah, I I wonder if William and Harry will ever reconcile, cause it seems like they're still on the outs big time, I know. Which that's even like sadder to me.
Speaker 2:I mean, I mean, all, of it's the same but your sibling and like, especially with their situation.
Speaker 1:They have such a specific. You know, life like really, the life Really. The only other person that Prince Harry could have understand his upbringing is his brother.
Speaker 2:Right yeah.
Speaker 1:It's just really sad that they are at odds. Like I was thinking about how it must be so weird for the two of them, because you think, growing up like being a prince or a princess, especially when you're really little, like that's all you really see in movies and stuff, or at least you know the Disney side of it, and you're like how amazing would that be to be royal. But it must've been. But when you're actually royal, like it must've just been a mind, a mind fuck for them. Like this is not how it seems, like this is brutal.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah. Well, it's like weird too, because it's not like here, where, like the people, if they have kids, like celebrities will like kind of hide their children from the media. Like the royals like can't do that. Like the children have to like turn around and pose and pose and like take a picture when they're like on a family vacation or like at their mother's funeral or like whatever. Like they see it as like they owe the paparazzi pictures of them. That's like what they have to do, so it's like they like that makes it 10 times harder. I feel like as a little kid, and even more so, like who else has gone through that? Like no one.
Speaker 1:No one Not on that level of fame as well, like you could be royal and have to do all of like the duties or whatever, and sit through the things and smile and all that.
Speaker 2:but they are the most famous royals by far oh yeah, so it's just a whole different stratosphere I was gonna say I wonder if, like william's like kind of jealous that harry can have a little bit more freedom than him probably, probably.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know, I would be.
Speaker 2:I would probably be resentful yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but I also think, like from that documentary, it seems to me that like Harry always felt like Diana's kid, like it seemed I remember leave, I don't remember, couldn't point to an example, but I remember having the impression that like he felt like he was following in princess Diana's shoes by taking a stance against the paparazzi and like getting out of the royal cycle and like living the life he wanted to do as almost like an ode to her. That's kind of the impression I got, where it seems like prince william is more understanding of his father and his responsibility. I will say also he has to be, though that's also because he has to be right, right, because he is going to be the king, yeah. But speaking of the kids, it is kind of funny to see how him and Kate's three kids are like publicly, oh yeah, like very much following the birth order theory.
Speaker 1:It's like it seems like George is like well-behaved, you know, you know, like does the stuff, like doesn't really. And then the what's her? Charlotte? Right, charlotte, yeah, she's kind of like the mediator. It feels like she's always kind of taking care of her little brother and then the little one, louie, hilarious, hilarious, just like a maniac and just doesn't care, and as a wild man, that is definitely like a thing Child doesn't care and is a wild man.
Speaker 2:That is definitely like a thing. Child roles Hilarious.
Speaker 1:But okay, our last you know story for the day some sad, some sad relationship news. Nina Dobrev, sean White they're calling it quits, they're ending their five-year engage, or their five-year relationship and engagement. They began dating in 2019. The snowboarder, who's 39, proposed to dobra, famous from the vampire diaries, who's she's 36 in october 2024. They are saying that it's mutual, mutual decision and they were last seen together on august 31st. They were holding hands and then a week later, on september 7th, ina walked the red carpet for a new movie. She's in eternity and she didn't have her engagement ring. Oh, wow, yeah, so it's quick, just happened. Just happened also, she unpinned her engagement post, which I guess had been like a staple, and I took a peek at her instagram seems like she wiped any you know?
Speaker 2:did they like announce it or people are just speculating because of that they that's a good question.
Speaker 1:I mean it's been widely reported by like every, like major news source yeah, yeah, they met. They met, I guess, like in 2012, but they didn't really become acquainted until 2019. They were both asked to be speakers at an event in florida that was organized by tony robbins, motivational speaker, and she was with sean White in 2022 when he competed in his fifth and final Winter Olympics in Beijing. So sad to hear it. I actually was very bummed out when I heard this news. What did you think?
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's a bummer. I didn't really care. I don't really care that much about them. I didn't watch Vampire Diaries and I don't know if I've seen her in anything else.
Speaker 1:I think she's been in like one-off things, but nothing major, nothing that.
Speaker 2:yeah, yeah, I know who she is and I know who Sean White is, but I don't usually watch, like the Winter Olympics, in depth.
Speaker 1:I just you know being pop culture obsessed.
Speaker 2:Well, he's a redhead.
Speaker 1:Well, and he's a redhead themed. Shout out for the redheads this episode.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you guys are getting a lot.
Speaker 1:I don't think if. Have we talked about that how, when I was younger, I had crushes on all redheads.
Speaker 2:I feel like we definitely have. We talked about how Ron Weasley has been on our fridge Also. Side note, the internet is on. We invented that, Leo and Conrad are the same.
Speaker 1:We've been saying that since season one. I could not agree more Catch up everyone. We spotted that from the jump. I did not agree more Like catch up everyone. You know, we spotted that from the jump. But I did like Sean White and Nina Dobrev. They seemed very cute together. They would always like post these funny videos. They kind of like did a lot of funny things. They moved in together in COVID. I remember that they would do all like the challenges and they just seemed like they had a very fun, playful relationship, yeah, and like they're very active, like they would be snowboarding, they'd be wakeboarding, like I would always see these videos of them doing all this like really active stuff. So they gave they gave the impression like they were like very happy and in love and I liked them together. So this was sad news. So I hate that.
Speaker 2:It's like you feel like kind of like gypped or like joked or something Like they fooled you.
Speaker 1:Yeah Well, I don't. I mean, I guess that's it, Anything else that we have to talk about?
Speaker 2:Not really.
Speaker 1:You know, just on a small, small note, we try to keep things light and fun here, but obviously this was a very sad week in American history. So we are just thinking about everyone who has been affected by all of the shootings the Colorado school shooting, charlie Kirk's shooting his family. Yeah, we hope, just yeah.
Speaker 2:Want to recognize that, that, yeah, that's still going on, even though we're having this light, lighthearted conversation.
