Ready? Ready. Hey everyone. Welcome back to the latest episode of Snitchin. It's your host, Kristen.
SPEAKER_01:And Brittany, I hope y'all are ready for the best part of your day because I am coming at you live from the heart of the South, Charleston, South Carolina. One of my favorite cities. One of the best cities out there for sure. Yeah, it is real. I don't know if it's like a hidden gem. I don't know if it's hidden, but it's like a gem of the U.S., my favorite city in the U.S. Besides, I also love Santa Monica. Oh, I thought you were going to say San Diego, the land of no sweat. Well, I do love San Diego too, but I have a special connection to Santa Monica. Oh, I didn't know this. Why Santa Monica? I don't know. I just love it. When I'm there, I just feel like I'm at home, like here. Like a cat cafe or a Harry Potter uh theater production.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. I think Charleston is used to be more of a hidden gem. Mish always talks about when she went to classroom there, like it was very different than it is now. It's much busier, much more touristy. I feel like Southern Charm. Definitely.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I came here before Southern Charm, I think. Or maybe one of the things I came here before it was like bachelorette. Now it's like very bacheloretti, which kind of stinks. But other than that, it's great. It's great shopping, it's near the water, it's warm. So pretty here. Like you forget to, like, I remember you saying this book, Clemson, like or South Carolina. Like, I feel like everything, like the sky is just like so pretty.
SPEAKER_02:No, totally. It's beautiful. Some of the best, I think Charleston is like the best food city. All the restaurants are top tier. I I really feel like you can't have a bad meal there.
SPEAKER_01:I love it because it's like a true walking city. Like you can just like walk everywhere. There's so much to do. And like you said, the shopping is top tier. Top notch. Yes. It's like a mix of boutiques and like chain stores. It's awesome. How was the travel now? It was good. That's like another great thing. It's only like a two-hour flight. So very easy. We got here like midday yesterday, and then we walked around, like did a little shopping. We went out to eat at that place Magnolia's. Oh, yeah. Right there on my bachelor for lunch. Yeah, it was really good. So yeah, it was really good. And then now we're like today we're doing the carriage ride, which I'm super excited about.
SPEAKER_02:Fun.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I haven't done it since like the first time I came, like 10 years ago.
SPEAKER_02:So fun. How's the weather?
SPEAKER_01:Good. It's great. 670s. It's awesome.
SPEAKER_02:It sounds like you're having the best time. So that's great.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I know. It's awesome. The weekend is just beginning. Vacation Britney is the best, one of the best versions of me.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. Oh yeah. Brittany can do a vacation very well. She's a good time. Yeah. Um, and you know, the committed gal she is still doing an episode even mid-vacay.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, it's nice to take a little break from everyone, you know, and it's just fun.
SPEAKER_02:I have to tell you, I this morning went down to get my Duncan and I was in the car and singing, and I the song had just started. So I took a little bit of a detour to get home. And I yeah. And I drove down. So I live on a marina and I drove down to like the other side of the marina, and they're filming a movie there today. What movie? Yes, I don't know the movie. I did get an email from my building about a movie shoot, but I thought that it was gonna be, I thought it was last month, but I'm pretty sure it's a Mark Wahlberg movie. And I saw the tent had signs for set. I was gonna go back and like walk by and stalk it. That's legit exactly what I was thinking. I was thinking I might go up to the market that's there and just, you know, get whatever and just meander on by there and see what's going on. I mean, Mark Wahlberg, I would say he's pretty A-list. I think so. I mean, here's the thing there's this movie studio that opened here, and there's actually one, ironically, in our hometown in Canton as well. Really? Yes, it's the same like production company. And they have a big building. It just looks like a warehouse where I live. I was kind of thinking about it before. I was like, that's honestly genius to have a movie set here because there's a lot of A-list actors who are from the Boston area. I'm sure they would love shooting here. Mark Wahlberg. I guess, yeah. Ben Affleck, like the entire cast of The Office. So it was an exciting start to the day for sure.
SPEAKER_01:That's like when they um there used to be a show. I think it was on Showtime. What was it called? It was like something mom. I don't know. But it was like set in Southie. And like they filmed, I think like once or twice on my block. And it was like crazy. They would they gave our condo association because they used like our front steps, like a thousand dollars.
unknown:Oh.
SPEAKER_01:And yeah, I saw Rosie O'Donnell literally destroy a car, like right in front of my window. I was like peeking out through the shades, just a tiny, tiny little bit. No way. I was like, this is so cool. Oh my god, I'm dying. Yeah, they used like our neighbor's house as like their dressing room. So they paid for them to go and like stay in like this nice hotel for like a week and gave them like 10 grand. I'd be like, done. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02:First off, done. Yeah, 10 grand, say less. Put me in a nice hotel, say less. Also, just knowing, let's say Rosie O'Donnell was in my home for a significant amount of time, saw all my stuff, like that's so crazy. No. So I would have loved that. I'm definitely going down there now. There's no way. Yeah, no, you gotta. Yeah. I've already now in my mind, I'm like, okay, so yeah, I'm not really good at being sneaky. Oh, well, try. Yeah, okay. I can I can try. I can I mean, I'm just saying, it's just not in my, you know, I wouldn't, it's not something I would say is one of my strengths. But okay, I'm gonna go down there. Maybe I have the sunglasses on, be covert, you know, just I'm just have your headphones on, but like don't have them on. Yes. I'm sneaky. Yeah. Okay. And I'll walk kind of down by the ferry. I don't know I don't know what's going on, whatever, whatever. And then once I'll walk by, and then hopefully they spot me. Hopefully, someone walks over and basically just invites me to be in the movie. And then like Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Like automatic. They're like, oh, you need we need extras. Do you want to be an extra? I would be so jealous of that. Oh, oh, but here's the thing. I feel like it's I'm thinking about if that actually happened, like I know I would just breathe. Yeah, you'd panic. Yelling, you'd panic. I just know. You'd be like, ugh.
SPEAKER_02:I just wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to talk.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, you'd panic. You'd panic.
SPEAKER_02:Oh God, that's funny. Okay, you know what? No, though, not today. And we're gonna give it a shot and I'll report back.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I mean, maybe if you know going in, you won't be as caught off guard.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, right. Preparation's everything. I I need to prepare for oh, if I run into Mark Wahlberg, no, this is what I'll say. I'll say, oh my god, Mark, I am going. Wait, why'd you make that face?
unknown:I don't know.
SPEAKER_02:Oh my god, Mark.
SPEAKER_01:I don't know. Keep going. Mr. Wahlberg?
unknown:I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, hangovering it.
SPEAKER_02:Like, oh my god, Mark.
SPEAKER_00:No, okay.
SPEAKER_02:I'll say, hey Mark, and then I'll say, me and my friends are going to Alma Nove, even though we're not. My friends and I are going to Almanove, his mom's restaurant, in like a few weeks. That's perfect. Yeah. And say, what should I order? What should I order? I'm not, I'm not, you know, I'm not too much of a fan, but yet I'm like cool, calm collected, asking him about his family. I think that's the move. I wonder if he's cool. Like if he's down to earth or if he like is kind of a jerk. My feeling is that he probably comes across as a bit of a jerk. But is like a good guy. Yeah, like he's raised well. Exactly. Yeah. Like I think he's a stereotype of, you know, the boss, the Boston thing. Like you're kind but not nice. Like he's a he was a good dude. I'm sure he like, you know, is more like generous and charitable and nice than we think, but probably comes across as a dick.
SPEAKER_01:You know, I didn't know that was a Boston thing.
SPEAKER_02:People say that like East Coast people are kind but not nice, whereas like West Coast people are nice but not kind. They might present as being like really friendly and nice. Oh like they talk shit about you behind your back.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, way better over here.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Way rather be kind and not nice. I feel like I see it. Yeah, no, I see it too. But I'm glad I'm on the East Coast. Oh, same. That's way better. Yeah. I mean, I'm a West Coast girl. I would move to the West Coast to have the. But that's like the biggest problem on the West Coast is it's fake. East Coast people are where it's at. Yeah, that's true. East girls culture is good. I would I would say that about myself. I feel like I'd be kind, but not always like just nice, right?
SPEAKER_02:I mean, I think you're nice, but I I think generally this the stereotype is true. Like when you come across people that are kind of, you know, rude or whatever. Like I've heard it be explained as like if your car broke down, like an East Coast person would stop and help you change your tire, but they'd be like pissed about it the whole time.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I mean, that's better. What would a West Coast person do? They would be really nice about it. Well, that's not good suitable.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I get it. I'm picking up what you're putting down there. Yeah. There's one other thing I have to bring up before we talk anything like pop culture. Okay. I saw this TikTok. I was scrolling. I was definitely on a TikTok hole last night. But one of the things I came across, have you heard of um the account Letterboxed? I feel like I've told you about this before.
SPEAKER_01:I feel like we've heard of it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Basically, they stop um actors, they stop all celebrities, but it really started with actors on the red carpet and they ask, what are your top four favorite films? And it's now become a thing. All actors like know when they see Letterboxd, they're like, oh my God. So they had Kiana Reeves and Azizari in an interview because they're doing a new movie together. And they asked the question, but they said specifically, they said your top four movies that you saw in a movie theater. I had to bring it up because most of mine involve you. Okay. Do you well? I'm curious if you can guess what one of them is. I don't know. You're putting me in the spot here. I know. I know I am. Well, I'll give you, I'll give you them. Bring it on. Oh quick, I'll bring it on. I think we saw that for my like eighth birthday. Yes, that's what I thought about. I was like, for some reason, I like they were like, what's the first movies that you can remember? Like, you know, whatever. I'm like, bring it on. I remember specifically seeing that for Britney's birthday. Yeah, I remember that. That was fun. The other one I remember seeing with you that I thought of because it was a Wednesday night when we were 11 years old, and we thought we were hot shit. I remember this so well. We went and saw a walk to remember. Great on a Wednesday night as an 11-year-old. And like I could not have felt cooler.
SPEAKER_01:I yeah, I totally forgot about that. But now that you're saying it, I remember. Yeah, it was like so cool to go to the movies at 11. I mean, yeah, 11 p.m. I don't know who drove us. I thought about that now too. Like, uh, yeah, I don't know who definitely not my parents.
SPEAKER_02:Probably Mo and Rico. Probably Mo and Rico. Mo and Rico, if you listen to this episode, could you weigh in? Do you remember driving us to the movies or not?
SPEAKER_01:Definitely not my parents.
SPEAKER_02:I I don't see think that's something that Lindy and Bob. Maybe, maybe. If they felt like other parents were in on it, they might have done it. But yeah, I'm betting on Rico. A hundred percent. My money's on Rico, a hundred percent. Yeah. Um, and then the last one, you'll die. I'm pretty sure. Actually, I didn't even double check if this is the movie title, but again, when I was when we were 11, I went to see Queen of the Night. Aliyah starred as this like vampire, not a good movie at all. But it was when I went with Katie. I'm not gonna say a no, but it wasn't her. Katie. Oh, oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah. And remember, she was having her no, but her boyfriend Mike, it was like they had just started dating, and it was the first time. And then you oh my god. It was the first time so 11 years old. No, it was so 11 years old. It was the first time I was ever hanging out with her, and I remember I went to her house and we're like probably on AOL, who the fuck knows? And she was like, let's go to the movies, and I'm gonna invite Mike. And I was like, Okay, it was a rated R movie. I remember we had to sneak in, yeah. And we snuck in, and I remember, yeah, it was me and them two, like hard third wheel as an 11-year-old. But at the same time, I felt like cool because I was at a rated R movie and like they made out during the movie, and I was so scared.
SPEAKER_01:It was a really scary movie. But now like 11 seems young to be making out, no?
SPEAKER_02:I mean, I know they were living 13. I don't think so. I think I was young, like I think we were young. I was like, I literally had no idea what to do. And I misreaded our movie.
SPEAKER_00:I was like, if my mom finds out of bed.
SPEAKER_02:But oh wow, when I saw that TikTok, I immediately started thinking, wow, what were some of my formidable movie-going experiences? And it's not, I don't even remember the movie, but I literally was like, no, I will never forget that night.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I don't remember that movie at all.
SPEAKER_02:Truly, no one does. Um, okay, so we do have some stuff to get to to talk about. The first thing that we're gonna talk about, this is some crazy stuff, Britt. Oh, I'm excited. I don't know about this. Brittany Spears and Kevin Fetterline are making headlines. They are talking trash about each other right now online. Okay, so it all started because Kevin Fetterline, who's 47, he's releasing his memoir called You Thought You Knew on October 21st. And he is saying some crazy shit. So just a few of the bullet points of things that he's already leaked to the press. He says that Britney did cocaine while breastfeeding. She Jesus I know oh, um, drinking while pregnant. Says that his sons told him on multiple occasions that they would wake up when they would sleep over at their mom's house and find her standing outside their bedroom doors holding a knife. What? I know. Yes. He says that Brittany hooked up with one of her female dancers when her and Kevin were together. He came in and saw them full-blown making out. He says that she called Justin Timberlake the night before Kevin and her wedding to get closure. Oh, that's again, that's juicy. That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. She never got over. Same, same. Which I hate because I feel like he got over her. Oh, oh, oh. I mean, he's definitely moved on. Um, so yeah, so he's saying all of this crazy, crazy stuff. He said that she slapped him like while holding when she was holding their eldest Preston when he was a baby, just like really letting it feel like yes. So she came out on Instagram on Wednesday, and then again, I think again yesterday, but she basically like slammed him. So she's saying, like, you know, my ex is saying all this stuff. He's gaslighting me. She said something to allude to the fact that like he's doing it for the money and like his book's gonna sell way more than hers. And then, but then she goes on these tangents in the same post. She says, I just got a greenhouse and I'm gonna heal, she said. And then she finishes it by saying, quote, I'd like to have lunch, coffee, or coffee, lunch, or dinner with Michelle Pfeiffer and Paris Jackson. It is important to look up to people and still believe in humanity. And there are extremely cool, beautiful people here. Like, what? Yikes. That was all in one post. All in one post, four screenshots of a note that she took and she posted the whole thing. You know, just full-blown, it seems, stream of consciousness. Like, not no one's checking her social media.
SPEAKER_01:Like, but I will say I feel like Kevin Federline, I could easily see him embellishing or exaggerating for the purpose of this book because, like, how else does he make money?
SPEAKER_02:Brittany? Exactly. I mean, he needs cash. Exactly. I'm reading this and I'm like, okay, the thing is, you broke up almost two decades ago. They were together from 2004, 2007. Your son, yes, 2004, 2007, and their sons are 20 years old and 19 years old. So full grown, past the age of 18. Like, why now? You know, like what what else is he? A producer or something? Well, he was a backup dancer at one point. Oh, the dancer. She loves the dancers. She loves the dancers. Well, she loves to dance. That's her thing. I feel like she's more of a dancer than singer.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, wait, side note. Sammy said she would learn the um fatumophilia to disappear.
SPEAKER_00:Oh my god, yes. I love that. You have to.
SPEAKER_01:But anyway, but yeah, I don't know. I just feel like take his things with a grain of salt. I mean, like, he's probably, oh, she was drinking when she was pregnant. But like, I could see how that could get taken out of context as like sounds way worse than it was.
SPEAKER_02:When thou, I mean, I think the most alarming claim is the knife thing.
SPEAKER_01:The knife, yeah. But like that could have happened one time and she was holding a butter knife because she was like putting butter on bread. She ran over.
SPEAKER_02:You know what I mean? No, I agree. I think take it all with a grain of salt. And like, Kay Fed, you're not the most credible source, dude. Yeah. We forget, this was in one of the articles. His ex-girlfriend, Char Jackson, who was an actress, was pregnant with her second kid with him when he hooked up with Britney. And he said that Oh, Jesus. There was something about in his interview that just like made me chuckle. He said something about that situation, how him and Britney were kind of holed up in a bungalow, and all of a sudden the press got one of their romance and photos leaked. And that's how Shar Jackson found out. And that's when he called her to tell her. And he kind of said something like alluding to like he wanted to let her know, you know, before the press, like being the good guy. And it's like, no, dude, you just got caught cheating on your pregnant pregnant girlfriend.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, like your grassman straws here. There's really no good guy left.
SPEAKER_02:There's no, there's no saving.
SPEAKER_01:It doesn't make up for it.
SPEAKER_02:No. So, but then again, it's like Britney though, her insta-help herself.
SPEAKER_01:She doesn't help herself.
SPEAKER_02:The girl's tapped. Scary.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I know. It's yeah, sad. It's like, I want to believe that she's not, and like her Instagram is just like I don't know, someone did or something, but it's hard to not.
SPEAKER_02:I don't know, it's hard to deny. It's hard to deny. She's putting herself on film dancing with rings of eyeliner under her eyes, and she's wearing like in half of her video, she's wearing like next to nothing. It's not behavior of someone who maybe is the most. Yeah. But like this post you just talked about sounds good. No, read it. Everyone, go read it. It's just, it's not, it's it's a straight stream of consciousness. She talks about Kevin, then she brings up her mom, then she's talking about her greenhouse and healing, and then she's talking about Michelle Pfeiffer and Paris Jackson. Like it's not, you know, what are we doing here?
SPEAKER_01:That's not a single person's reaction.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. So the whole thing is just sad. I know. Like, I just don't know who believe in the situation, but it feels like everyone's a little crazy.
SPEAKER_01:I know. I feel like my feeling on Brittany is that she's definitely crazy, but like, give her a break. Gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. Like that documentary that I watched, it was like, I don't know, three years ago. I think it was on Hulu, her documentary, like that like rocks my world. I was like, I can't believe interviewers were asking her this. Like this is when I was like little, you know, and we didn't notice. But now looking back, I'm like, holy shit, like this is inappropriate.
SPEAKER_02:I think I'm I am team Brittany in general. You know, we want the best for her.
SPEAKER_01:Same.
SPEAKER_02:But wow, the Justin Timberlake thing. I believe that the most thought of all of them. I believe that too. Oh, I mean, I feel like because that was the last time in her life where she was really on top was when she was dating him. You know, they were kind of ruling the world. Like, I wonder if her association with him or just her feelings about him are skewed because they were such a power girl. Like she was just thriving at that time in her life.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Yeah. They were like Justin and Splina, like Brad and Jen.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, they were huge. But the thing you said about the interview is kind of a good segue. So we're also going to talk about Kim Kardashian on Call Her Daddy. And she did say, not that this was like one of the major takeaways, but they asked, Alex asked her if there was ever an interview question that she was shocked by. And she brought up an interview she did with the on the view with her sisters. And she didn't say it was a question directed at her, but she said it's crazy. Chloe sent this clip of the View interview, and it was the three of them, Courtney, Chloe, Kim, and the interviewers were basically asking Chloe, like, how does it feel to not, you know, look like the rest of your like you look like your sister? What?
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my God. But it's the view is nasty. Oh, really? I think so. They're all when Taylor put out that Miss Americana documentary, they were all over that. Like, I feel like even like the Britney Spears one, like when they feel like media clips, the view is always in it. And it's women.
SPEAKER_02:That's really interesting. But also to what you were saying about the Brittany thing, that was kind of commonplace at at that time. I mean, she's obviously they're still doing it and being nasty, but definitely back then that was kind of just worse.
SPEAKER_01:Like and you didn't even know it was so bad. When was that when was the Kardashian thing?
SPEAKER_02:I don't know. It was when the show first aired. So probably like 10 years ago, maybe.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, some resolved, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Or maybe they've been on longer. I don't even know. Maybe 15 years ago. But that, yeah, that's what she said. But anywho, yeah, Kim Kardashian was on Call Her Daddy this uh week. And I thought it was a pretty interesting interview. What were your takeaways?
SPEAKER_01:Um, I mean, I think she looked horrific when she was when Alex asked like how much a year she spends on beauty products, and she was like, I don't really know like how much day-to-day things cost. I was like, shut the fuck up, Kim Kardashian. And like you sound so dumb.
SPEAKER_02:Um that was the exact opposite reaction.
SPEAKER_01:Really?
SPEAKER_02:Exact opposite. That's so funny. What did you think? I thought it was really genuine. I don't, I thought that she was like, like, of course she has genuine. Yeah, that's so bad. I don't think so. Someone, she's a billionaire. Like, I feel like it makes sense. She has no idea what like groceries cost.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, yeah, well, I think it makes sense too, but like don't put that on glass to the world. Like, it's not something to brag about. Like, Taylor definitely knows how much stuff costs, and she's billionaire. Like, Taylor would never say that.
SPEAKER_02:Taylor would never say that. She would never say that, but I don't know if she knows what that stuff costs. I mean, why would she?
SPEAKER_01:I know. But the point is, is like saying it, you sound so dumb.
SPEAKER_02:I feel the opposite. I feel like it's it's just her being real. I that's just it's just funny how we could have different reactions because like I think a lot of people agree with you. I see it as her just not being fake. Like, why would she know those things? Yeah, it's true. It is not being fake, I guess. Yeah, like she's just keeping it real. Like she, and I liked how she's like, I wish I knew more, but like, I don't know. Like, part of me is like, why would she know? And then I also thought when Alex asked her about how much she spends on Glam and she said between one and five million a year. I also thought, so I'm curious your reaction that like most people were like, that's crazy. But in my mind, I'm like crazy. I thought the opposite. I what? Yes, I mean, she's a billionaire who is making appearances daily, and a lot of her whole thing is her looks and her aesthetic and her fashion.
SPEAKER_01:It does not be like, maybe oh well, we're not coming close.
SPEAKER_02:But you know, I mean, but but her glam and her hair and all that is a part of it. Like if she's getting made up daily, I okay.
SPEAKER_01:Wait, yeah. I have so I thought the question was like how much do you spend on like products? Like if we're talking like the pe like she's paying for the makeup artist to come every day and do her makeup, that I could see a million dollars. But like if it's just simply like products or like plastic surgery, like she's gotta be doing plastic surgery every year, if that's you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_02:Yes. I took it as her whole team, her makeup artists, her hairstylists.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, that makes more sense, and the products. Like think Botox alone. She probably spent like a thousand dollars on bot on Botox.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I mean, her hair extensions must be like the best of the best.
SPEAKER_01:Her nails, I mean, they always are doing like lip nails, lip injections, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, lip filler.
SPEAKER_01:Um to me, that screams, you're doing like not just like makeup, you're doing like like medical shit.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. But I just feel like if there's if she if you have that much wealth and like clearly her glam and hair is important to her, we would never spend that. But if she has that much money, and like to her, that's not proportionally that like that crazy, it it does not surprise me at all that she would spend a mil to five mil a year.
SPEAKER_01:I feel like it just makes her once a bill sometimes. I'm like, how is this person like so rich and famous? Like she's dumb, she doesn't do anything, like she doesn't have talent. She just like shows her boobs and like looks pretty.
SPEAKER_02:And then it's like I think that the fact that she has I mean, skims is obviously huge.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, no, I know. But I mean, she's mainly famous for nothing. Like, that's how she got her money. And like skim she launched once she had following, like all that other stuff. Like, you have to remember, like, the the reason she got her following. I mean, what did she do? Like, she's not a singer, she's not a dancer, she's not an actor.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I mean, she's definitely a reality star. That's for sure how she got her launch. But I do give them some flowers in the sense of how many reality shows are there out there, and they put themselves in a different echelon. Like they're not reality shows. Yeah, totally, you know? Yeah, I mean, a lot of that is the Chris Jenner of it all, but they are big business people.
SPEAKER_01:And I know it's like, but like, why are people like this like the big business people in America? It's like, come to be smarter people with all the money. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02:I don't know. I mean, I like Kylie Jenner. I do respect them. Like, I think I do. I don't think it's just that they're like reality stars who show their boobs, they have made an empire. But obviously, they're polarizing for sure. And I can understand why. I mean, definitely. What did you think of what she said about the Kardashian curse? How they always say like the men that they date are cursed.
SPEAKER_01:Um, I yeah, I don't know what the Kardashian curse was.
SPEAKER_02:It's basically like from what I understand, every guy that they date like just goes downhill. Kanye, obviously, Tristan with all of his cheating scandals, Chris Humphreys. I don't know if Scott's looped into that, but maybe. She said that she hates that. She thinks that people are projecting them to be the problem when it's really like the men that have the issues.
SPEAKER_01:I can see that. Oh, she also said she was like, I dated a guy who won the Super Bowl. Who is that? I think it was Reggie Bush. Okay, okay. Because she was also talking about how she dated Tom Brady. And I was like, wait, they definitely didn't date that much that she was dating. They were like, they probably went on like a couple of pickers. But I honestly I feel like they fit together.
SPEAKER_02:So well, do you remember when there was that period of time where we were talking about Tom, like every episode, because he was ill. Oh, he's first yeah, Giselle's winning by a lot. By a lot, for sure. A hundred percent. I also thought it was interesting that she said they haven't she hasn't heard from Kanye in a couple of months, and she raises kids full time.
SPEAKER_01:Full time.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, that sucks. It would be hard to co-parent with Kanye West.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I mean, what is like what is he doing right now? You know what I mean? It's like what is he like making music? No. Is he on tour?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, well, I mean, he's definitely canceled. I he said some really crazy stuff, but she did say that the one thing that bothers her is that there's a narrative that she keeps the kids from him, and that's not the case. She says that she would let her kids see him anytime that they want. And she, I felt like she was giving Tristan and Chloe a lot of praise in this interview. She brought them up once, and she was saying Tristan's there for drop-off and pickup. Makes me happy for Chloe.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I would agree. I like Chloe. She's yeah, I think Chloe's my favorite.
SPEAKER_02:I saw something else I haven't read. I didn't read into it, but I saw the headline that Gwyneth Paltrow didn't know that Timothy Chalamet's girlfriend. She thought that Timothy Chalamet was dating a young girl with two kids. Didn't know it was Kylie Jenner.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, that's so funny. I love him.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, me too. I like them together. Me too. Me too. Anything else from the interview? I think so. Cool. All right. Next, let's do some dancing with the stars. Dancing with the stars week five. It was dedication night. I thought, okay, first off, I think my biggest takeaway is that Robert Irwin needs to be protected at all costs. I was crying before he even started dancing.
SPEAKER_01:Oh god, I had the opposite reaction. What? I don't know if it makes me like a cold hearted bitch. Like I was like, this episode is so cringy. Like, why is everyone crying? I was like, this is so cringy. Like, why why are like the random professionals all crying? They don't even know that. Like no, that his his was a little more emotional, but like some of them, like Whitney and her husband, I was like, no need for tears here.
SPEAKER_02:No, definitely. And then sometimes when the judges, like when Derek Huff is crying, like, come on.
SPEAKER_01:He yeah, he's he's an interesting person. Real it is very dramatic. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, the drama, the emotion. No, that's so fair. I totally understand that. The only one where I really was like, oh my gosh, I am I love him was Robert Irwin.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I would say of the ones of the with the crying, his was probably like the the one that warranted it the most. Definitely.
SPEAKER_02:Oh man.
SPEAKER_01:I can't believe he was only two when Steve Irwin died. I didn't really, I thought Steve Irwin died like 10 years ago. Same. No, totally agree. Right. Totally. Yes. I was shocked by that. Their dance was great.
SPEAKER_02:Their dance was so good. I think that was maybe my favorite of the night. Close second, though, and I thought they were so underscored it annoyed me. My favorites, Elaine, parent trap lady, and Alan. Dancing with Lisa and Walter to This Will Be an Everlasting Love. I was cheesing.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I loved that one. And the girl, like her friend, like legit danced. I feel like they should get some credit for that.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, she crushed it. It was Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, they did underscore her.
SPEAKER_02:Yes. And you could tell Alan's face during the scores was like, what the hell?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I know you can totally tell when they get like upset and they're trying to act like happy, but they're like seven and they're all like, oh. But like you can tell that they're pissed. I really liked um I liked Alex's. I feel like I'm rooting for Alex Rebel.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I love that. No, Alex is crushing it.
SPEAKER_01:She's killing it. Well, I just I like how she's like not an actual dancer. Like, I'm sorry, but Jordan Child, like, I'm kind of not rooting for her because like she has such an advantage. She's a perfect, like a professional gymnast. Like, she's been in the Olympics. I don't know. I just don't think that's fair. I feel you. I feel you. That's a big critical.
SPEAKER_02:So I'm not, I'm kind of not rooting for them. I'm not voting though. I'm feeling like a bad fan. I'm not voting during the episode. Yeah, I don't vote. I gotta start supporting my people. I think I need to start for Elaine and Allen. I'm worried about them. So what do you get 10 times to vote? Yeah, you can vote up to no, well, you can vote 10 times per couple. So I think I'm just gonna vote at the beginning of the code. Yeah. I've been watching the beginning of it live, so I could vote. You can get that vote in. Make your voice heard. I mean, people already know who they're voting for. Like, I think if I'm gonna vote, it's gonna be Elaine and Allen just because I worry that they're not gonna get the votes. Alex and Val are making it to finale.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I know. I wonder if like that does come in. Like, I wonder though, if it's like, oh, I'm not gonna vote for Steve Irwin because like Robert Irwin because everyone's voting for him. But then in reality, so they're like, oh, I'll I'll pick like you know, the Elaine or whoever, like the people that you think aren't as good and are gonna get cut, and then like no one votes for the good people. Like, does that ever happen?
SPEAKER_02:I I think that has happened. But there are the like I I think to a certain degree though, like I think Robert and Alex, that's not gonna happen. They have too big of a support, like us too much of a following. Like, I think yeah, yeah, yeah. So I definitely well, I feel like there's the middle of the road couples like a Scott and Riley, Elaine and Allen, Danielle and Pasha, even Daniela and Dylan, like those are the ones where I feel like you really need to, or even Jen and Jan, like you need to vote, otherwise they're gonna be gone. Um, yeah. I will say also, Mr. Feeney, although I have preached kind of like felt bad for him.
SPEAKER_01:I was like, Jesus, Bango, why are you doing this to this man?
SPEAKER_02:When they first announced it, I was like, yes, I can't wait to see Mr. Feeney. And then when you sit see him and he's like sad. He's just old, he's 98. Like all those lights, it must have been quite bright for him. That must be a lot of work for him. I mean, he stood, he just kind of sat there, but he looked like shocked. He looked taken aback.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I I would have felt bad asking him if I was her. Just saying.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I know 100%. I do think, and I will say at the end, no one was eliminated, which to me, I'm like, I get it. It's dedication night. It would have been super awkward to have people eliminated with like their daughters or sisters or whatever there. But lame. We need some elimination. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I know. When they said that, I was like, what? What the fuck? Like, what kind of scoring is this? They need to lay out the rules a little better. I want to know like how they pick the order of the dances. I want to know why why they pick like foxtrot or whatever they do, the style. And I want to know how they pick the songs, and I want to know how the judging works. And I want to know, yeah, like what's the deal with this? Like, oh, we can just randomly say everyone's safe.
SPEAKER_02:We need more clarity.
SPEAKER_01:But I guess they said their scores carry over or something.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I think that is how it works. They just double them up. But no, agreed. It's not, I don't like when they do it. So it'll be next week's scores combined with this one. And next week is gonna be Wicked Week. That'll be so good. One couple is doing Defying Gravity. Yes, let's go. And guess who it is? Elaine and Alan. Oh boy, let's go. Your favorites.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, let's go. Oh my god, I was so happy when I heard that. That song automatically gives you a leg up. 1000%. I mean it's a lot of pressure, though.
SPEAKER_02:I hope they can let yeah. It's gonna be good. I think Whitney and Robert are doing Dancing Through Life, the Jonathan Bailey Dancing Through Life. Um that's gonna be upbeat. I could see that one being a good one. And then Mark and Whitney are doing popular. So kind of the big three songs. Oh popular's good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I know. I don't know the wicked songs as well. That's like Hamilton.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, right, right, right. Well, the other one that kind of Alex and Val are doing, you know, this one where it's like, um, what is this feeling? So sudden and new. But anyway, they're doing that one.
SPEAKER_01:Do you know what I was thinking? It's crazy out their outfits. Like, they must have to make those costumes like so quickly. It's impressive. It is. You know who I but you reminded me. You know who was the cringiest crier was fucking Dylan Athron. He did it with like his little sister. Like, why were you crying, dude? Like, I don't understand. And it's gonna have cancer or something?
SPEAKER_02:Like, I don't know. He's just overcome with love for his sister. Oh, I had a little bit of a bone to pick on that dance. He got scored four nines. He has the best score of the season. I do not think that that dance. It was four nines, yes. Yeah, he definitely didn't deserve that. No, that was a very not memorable dance. I thought he did a good job, don't get me wrong. I thought it was a good dance, but best highest scored of the season? No. Um that's sketchy. Sketchy. I feel like he did win some people over, though, with the little sister thing. Yeah, I guess. Him and Robert Irwin just going head to head for like, you know, America's sweetheart. I feel like they're battling it out.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my god, I feel like Robert Irwin is like the winning by far. Dylan Evron, his anthem is milkshake. Like, let's just leave it at that.
SPEAKER_02:Never forget. Well, let's end on that note. Um, thanks everyone for listening in. We will be back next week. We've got a whole new lineup of shows. We're gonna have a friend on Owen on Wednesday who's a realtor. He's gonna be talking tips for buying a home, first-time home buyers. It's gonna be a great episode. Learn about real estate. SPEAKER_01:I know you're all waiting. Sorry, disappoint. Um, all right. Well, yeah, have a great weekend, everyone. Have a great weekend. Bye. Bye.
