Ready? Ready. Hey everyone. Welcome back to the latest episode of Snitchin'. It's your host, Kristen. And Brittany, get ready for the best part of your day. It's Friday. We love Fridays. How you doing, Britt? What you got going on for the weekend?
SPEAKER_01:It's been a long week. Glad it's Friday. Not a whole lot going on this weekend. Uh, corner is hockey, boy start gymnastics. So that will be fun. But that's really it. Nice. How about you? You got plans.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I'm so excited. I'm going, I'm driving to Lake George, New York, and I'm gonna do a girls' getaway weekend with my friend Jill. We talked about her way back when. Um, her wedding was this this summer. So uh there was an episode where we talked about that, but I haven't seen her since. So I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_01:That's a fun drive, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00:It's four hours, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, that's what I thought. I've actually been there for a family reunion. It's like the middle of nowhere. Oh, really? Yeah, I remember like there was no cell phone service. You had it like to go to like Target or something, or well, I think it was Walmart. You had to drive like 30 minutes up to the street. But that might be somewhere we went. I don't know. That was all it this was also probably like 15 years ago.
SPEAKER_00:The thing is, I couldn't like I don't mind going and visiting a place like that. I could never live somewhere that's so remote that you could you had to drive 30 minutes to buy groceries or convenience items, like it just wouldn't work for me. Yeah, I would starve. Yeah. Honestly, same. Like, honestly. Um, but yeah, I mean, I'm excited though. I uh feel like a long drive by myself is no problem. I cannot that out. Four hours is nothing. So yeah, it's gonna be exciting. There's a rodeo there this weekend. Oh, what's that? Like riding tables, boat riding, barrel racing. We might have to go. You can take the Clemson out of the girl, you know? Or you can take the girl out of Clemson. Whatever floats your boat there. Um, so yeah, so that's gonna be really fun. But I will say, I have spent this week really on the hunt for a hobby, and I need to talk about it.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00:Winter Here's the thing. We talked about it already last week with daylight savings. It's dark by five. And this is the first week where I really felt like I couldn't go on my walks, like my outside walks, which I've grown very dependent on. Yeah, I I feel the same way. Yeah. So realizing that that's no longer gonna be a possibility in maybe like a month, and also tennis is no longer gonna be a possibility, which is another thing that I've grown very dependent on. Yeah, I'm realizing like I really need to find some type of indoor cat activity that I enjoy. Yeah. And I think I found it. Yay.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_00:I know it's very exciting. So I told myself this week, I was like, all right, you have to go and try a couple of things and see what you like. I did two. I did yoga, which I like yoga. I like the stretching component of yoga. I feel good when I'm doing like the child's pose and all that. Like that feels really good, but I don't enjoy it. Yeah. It's it feels forced. Like I'm making myself. It's slow for me. You like Pilates, right?
SPEAKER_01:Well, oh yeah, like I'm obsessed with Pilates, but yeah, I've just never really been into yoga. I don't know. It's a little too slow for me and like just doesn't feel very hard.
SPEAKER_00:But yeah, well, I think a lot of it is like also just like the mindfulness, breathing, centering, be present of it all. And that was definitely the class I went to. It wasn't so much like it that's I felt like that was the focus. First off, she was like nine months pregnant, the instructor. She was a pregnant lady. But yeah, oh, she's crushing it. But yeah, so I felt like that was more of the focus. And I, the thing is, is that I can walk to the studio and I've been for three years been like, you've got to check this out. Cause like there could also be a community aspect. Maybe I would meet people that live in my neighborhood. It was okay. But the one that I felt I love is there's this studio that came to Boston this summer. Any Boston-based snitches that might be listening, if you took dance when you were a child and enjoyed it, as I did, this class is for you. It's called Diva Dance. And it's a nationwide, I guess, like chain. And they just opened up in Boston near South Station. And it's literally you go for an hour and they just teach you a dance. But it's not like Zumba. It's not like it's not like you're doing like exercisy, you know, you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_01:Like, like I do like a cardio, like a choreograph cardio thing, but it's like jumping jacks and like, you know, shuffle and like run forward, skip back. Like it's it's not like that. Mine's a little more yeah, cardio-ish. Yours is like pure dance, which is cool.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, it's not exactly so. But the thing was, so I've been also like, this is the week you have to do it. And the only night I could do it was Tuesday night. And they only have one class a night. Um, so I go, it's like Pussycat dolls, the song buttons.
unknown:Like a word.
SPEAKER_00:And there was a chair. Um, and you could, it was heels optional. So I did not bring heels, I wore sneakers, but like everyone else in the class was wearing heels. We were doing, yeah, a full-blown Britney Spears stronger music video esque. Oh my god, I was just thinking of that. I was like, I wonder if they do Britney Spears Stronger.
SPEAKER_01:You have to go.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, a hundred percent. A hundred percent. So I've already well, it was so fun. Like the minute I got in there, I was like, Oh, I'm gonna crush these bitches. Like, I've got this down. Like my ego was so inflated.
SPEAKER_01:Kristen is a is a as a naturally gifted dancer.
SPEAKER_00:You are. Thank you so much, Brittany. I really appreciate that. In another life, I would have loved to be a dancer, but yeah, so it was so fun. And I was like, oh, I mean, this is it. Like, I'm definitely oh, and yeah, that's that's perfect for you. It's perfect. So I already looked at the November class schedule. Um, they have a Sabrina Carpenter one. I'm definitely going to that. Yes. And then next week, I you should come with me. They are doing a Taylor Swift Fate of Ophelia.
SPEAKER_01:Do you think it's like the is it the TikTok dance?
SPEAKER_00:I don't know. Um, I feel like it's not long enough. Like I think maybe that maybe they incorporate it, maybe it's part of it. Yeah, because I cannot get those arms down.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, not do the arms. You try to teach it to me, it just doesn't click with my brain. I know, I know.
SPEAKER_00:One day, keep trying.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, one day. But yeah, that that dance seems a little advanced for me, but I mean, whatever, fuck it. I would do it. That would be very good.
SPEAKER_00:It would be really fun doing Taylor. I know, it would be so much fun.
SPEAKER_01:What a great business idea. Dancing, was it Diva dancing?
SPEAKER_00:Diva dance, and it's all women. Yeah. I will say there was one thing that I mean, it wasn't weird by any means. Well, what do you think of this? So it's all it was all women. Um, but I think it's open to anyone. But the social media manager is was a man. So he there was like one guy kind of just like off to the side, like, and he really didn't do anything. He checked people in, but then at the end, he like did you like he like videoed the dance for their their social channels. I just thought it was like a little, I don't know. It just like made I just be like a great point. No, he was could not have been nicer. No, very nice guy. I think that's bad. Something I just noticed though, you know.
SPEAKER_01:Well, yeah, it's just it's definitely like a vulnerable environment.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, maybe that's what it was.
SPEAKER_01:No, doing a chair dance, like vulnerable.
SPEAKER_00:Oh my god, the old eye too at the beginning. Like they made us like so we learn the whole dance and then we do a group performance with everyone, and then you split into two groups and do each do a performance. And some women are videotaping themselves for their own, like on their own phones. Uh, this is not me. I I mean for the first go-around, I was like, absolutely not. There was a couple women there who were like, This is your first class. I was like, Yeah, this just don't ask. It was crushing it. Oh, yeah, crushing it, exactly. I mean, I'm fully in. But I will say, um, it definitely pushed me a little outside my comfort zone because when we do the actual performance, she's like, Okay, everyone start at the back of the room and they have like four big poles, just like the way that the the structure of the building. And they're like, she's like, get near a pole and like do a dance and then walk over to your chair before you go and do the actual dance. And I was like, Oh, good lord. Like so they freestyle, freestyle on a pole. Like, it's just not. I was like, you know, yeah, but we did it.
SPEAKER_01:It was so much fun. Six months from now, you might be up on that poll videotaping yourself.
SPEAKER_02:Probably not.
SPEAKER_01:You know what?
SPEAKER_00:Six months from six months ago, you know, the other way, back in whatever April, whenever that was, we didn't have a pod. So who knows? True. Anything could happen. Anything could happen.
SPEAKER_01:Anything could happen. Um, but yeah, like speaking of the pod, should we give a quick little plug for more guests? Yes. Okay, cool. So, yeah, you guys have been loving the guest episodes, and honestly, we have too. Um, we love having people on that are just regular everyday crushing it. We really truly believe that everyone has a story to share. So we want you guys to consider this an open invitation. Every single one of you are invited on the pod. Please reach out, text us, call us, email us, message us, consider yourself invited. And we would also love, I feel like we're kind of testing out this idea of like letting the guests kind of like lead, like let us know what you want to talk about, because maybe that will be like a little, you'll you'll feel more passionate about it.
SPEAKER_00:But we're also happy to help come up with topics. Yes. Our guest episodes are far and away, our most popular episodes. And like, you know, we've said our brand, every woman has a story to share. So no topic too small. Um, but also if you do know someone or have a friend that you think would be a good guest and does have, you know, maybe an interesting story or something they're really passionate about, send our info along. We'd love to have you. Sweet. Let's get into it. Should we talk about our topics for the day?
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um, Sexioman Alive first. Oh my god, I'm so excited about this. Okay, Sexiest Man Alive. People's annual uh sexiest man alive has been named. It is Jonathan Bailey. I think they've been listening. We talk about him.
SPEAKER_01:Could not be a better pick. Literally, I was looking at the like last, I think it was like the last 10 years, honestly, and he's like far and away the best pick. Oh, wait, who else was on there for the past 10 years? So last year, oh last year I think it was John Krasinski, which I was like, nah, it's okay.
SPEAKER_00:I like John Krasinski, but mainly because he's from Massachusetts. So like I like his wife. If he that was bad, it seems funny. Bad timing, though. Like it would have been better at the height of the office.
SPEAKER_01:Agree, agree. Um, 20 oops, 2023 was Patrick Dempsey. That's a pretty good one. But again, he might have been better at the height of grace.
SPEAKER_00:What are they doing? Like, why are they picking people a decade later? Who who is Patrick Dempsey? Yeah, yeah, like what has he been in later? I mean, I know who is why is he relevant?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, why is he relevant? Um 2022, Chris Evans. He's cute. That's a good one.
SPEAKER_00:Another Boston-based boy.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, yeah, I always forget about that one. Paul Rudd, 2021. That's a good one.
SPEAKER_00:Always classic, you know, like stand to the test of time. Also, Chris Evans did just have his baby, first baby. Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01:Wow.
SPEAKER_00:So with who? I mean, it's a no-name. She's beautiful, um, but she's like 26.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, wow. Well, good for him. Congrats, Chris Evans. Um, but yeah, I still think Jonathan Bailey is by far the best pick. And I was also laughing because like the picture of him, if if anyone's seen it, like his picture, it's like him holding and like hugging and kissing his dog like on the beach. And yeah, it's very attractive. But I'm like laughing how about how like for like the sexiest women alive or whatever, like guys want to see like girls with like her boobs out, like on the on the beach. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, totally.
SPEAKER_01:Girls just want to see like a guy and their dog.
SPEAKER_00:I know. Well, yeah, that's so there's two covers that are out, both of them phenomenal. One, he's like coming out of the ocean, and it's like he's like very brooding and he's looking at the camera and his face is all wet. And then he I saw him on Jimmy Fallon, and then he I didn't know there was a second cover, and then I saw the one that you're talking about where he's holding his own dog, it's his dog named Benson. Yeah. Oh my god. I mean, I think I like audibly gasped or made a noise. Like it was so, so cute.
SPEAKER_01:No, same. I know. Well, I was like, are they listening to us? Because I feel like we talk about this all the time. Like ever since his season at Bridgerton, I have been like in love with him.
SPEAKER_00:How do you how are you not? You know what I mean? And he also just seems like the nicest guy. I heard that on Bridgerton, he um like every single season since he was like the oldest brother, Anthony Bridgerton. I I'm gonna get it wrong, but something like he writes a note or something for every leading man every other season, like every other Bridgerton brother, of just like encouragement. You just you never hear a bad thing about this guy. Yeah, so well deserved. And he said something really funny on Fallon. He was like, I'm glad that people gave this award to someone who really can appreciate what a beautiful man looks like.
SPEAKER_01:True, that's a good point. Yeah, brother. I know. I'm like, I wonder if there's any of the other guys. Is he like the first gay one? Can't be.
SPEAKER_00:Maybe. I mean, it's not on this list. I don't see.
SPEAKER_01:Michael B. Jordan, no, John Legend, Idris Elba, Blake Sheldon. I do not think he what? I do not think Blake Sheldon is attractive at all.
SPEAKER_00:I was referring to uh Idris Idris Elba. Oh yeah, he's cute. I agree.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I was like, yeah, you know, Blake Sheldon. Yeah, I mean that's I don't understand the attraction of him at all. Um, but yeah, wow. But I also like how they're not making a big deal about it, that about that, because it doesn't have to be a big deal.
SPEAKER_00:Totally. How many, but you're so right about a sexy woman. I mean, think sports. I feel like sports illustrated actually is kind of going away from like super overt sexiness, but you're right. It's like bikini, boobs out, like yeah, if the men had their way, it would be you know, 20 years ago, sports illustrated covers. 1,000. Like if boy no, if men have their way, it would be like Playboy Bunny.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, exactly. Yeah, so like if they're moving in a different direction, it's not for the men.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, totally. I know. But you know what though, that makes sense. Who do you think are really like people subscribers or like people who like on their Instagram followers? You know what I mean? It's like probably 75% women. Do they do sexy as woman life? That's a great question. And no, they don't. I don't think they do. I think they do like most beautiful people.
SPEAKER_01:Uh no, they do something. Um I don't know if it's people, but wasn't there one? Oh, yeah, Demi Moore was people oh, people's world's most beautiful 2025. Yeah, yeah, they do.
SPEAKER_00:Well, that's that's interesting. I mean, even just like I never really thought about that. Like, they label the women like beautiful and the men sexy.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I mean, I think to your point, it is a more female audience.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Like they're they've got to be at least 75% female.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. I feel like people used to be my like source of truth for any celebrity gossip. Like, if it wasn't confirmed on people, I didn't believe it. I feel like they've kind of I feel like now that's like e News page six. I feel like people is more like fluff, but they still have this going for them. This is a strong thing that that that they have.
SPEAKER_01:People have the awards and the rankings.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. How many men do you think are gonna now put like dogs in their profile? I mean, normally if I saw a guy who is shirtless holding a dog in his hinge profile, I'd be like gag ew. But it just seems corny. It just seems like thirsty, you know?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. But if you saw like a guy who was like posing on a walk with his dog, you know, that that's a little bit of a different scenario.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, more wholesome. Like it's I think it's just it's like the gym pick of it all. Like if you're shirtless, like you know, whatever. Yeah. I saw that photo, but on him, man.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, well, he's next level. Yeah, nice job, people. Good job. This is I yeah, much better than the last couple years.
SPEAKER_00:1000% snaps. Oh, and they also said Conrad was what the sexiest what was it, green flag boyfriend or something? I don't know. Like, I think that they do have other categories. I can't find I don't know what No, they do. I found it. Oh, okay. Let's read some of them. That's really interesting. Sexiest green flag, fictional character, Conrad. I think that's just like best fictional, like golden retriever boyfriend, like good guy, good guy boyfriend.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Even though I felt like Jeremiah was kind of more of the golden retriever one, but whatever. Maybe season two, Jeremiah.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Season three, Jeremiah was a little baby back bitch.
SPEAKER_01:Like Yeah, Sexiest Country Star. I don't know who this person is. Riley Green. Don't know him. Sexiest Podcasters, the Basement Yard, Frank Alvarez and Joe Santiago Santagado.
SPEAKER_00:What's the name of it again? The pod like the pod.
SPEAKER_01:Um, the basement yard. Basement yard pod. Okay. Okay, keep going. Ew, sexiest four-year-old Derekov.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, okay. So we and we also do have our Dancing with the Stars recap. We'll get to that. Yeah, don't agree. Don't agree.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Sexiest tattoos, Dylan Afron.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, agree.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, whatever.
SPEAKER_00:I think Dylan Afron's hot.
SPEAKER_01:I don't know what Sexiest Sally. What's that mean? True. Oh, Savan?
SPEAKER_00:Okay, yeah. So he's a singer. So Sexiest Sally is um, you'll know the song. It's um, it's like, oh shit, here we go again. Maybe you don't know it. Oh, you do? Oh, I know the song, but okay. So that's Sally. Well, because it's like Sally, gonna come in. And the singer who performs it every time that he performs it, he brings out a different star during that song. And they are the Sally of the night, and it like a lot of traction online. Actually, Niall Horrin was just Sally, and he crushed it. He crushed it. Why is it Niall? I it just I mean, literally, he did it like last week. He did it like last week. Oh he's um he's Troy, I think it's Savon, maybe or Sivian. Yeah, he's a kind of like a Gen Z singer.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, that's the vibe I'm getting from the picture. Um, Sexiest New Dad in sports, Christian McCaffrey. That's niche. Very specific. Okay, so now we're on number nine. Sexiest Drew Barry Moore co-star. Like what the fuck? Who is making these categories? There's no, I'm gonna choose them. Yeah, it's Michael Martin, who is in uh oh which one is he's in uh never been kissed, right? Oh, is he ever? Yes, Sam. He's very active.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Can I pause on that for a second? Okay, so Never Been Kissed is like one of my all-time favorite round comms. Oh, I love that movie so much. I might now go watch it. It is a great one.
SPEAKER_01:It is a great one.
SPEAKER_00:Well, I might have talked about this before. Here's the thing we've done, this is episode number 65 of The Pod. I can't remember all the time what we've talked about, what we haven't. So sorry if we already heard this. But my niece Ava, she is turning 18 next month. She has gone back and watched a ton of 90s rom-coms. So this is like the I mean, I could not be more interested in her thoughts, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Her number one uh she's all that, which great choice. I love she's all that, yeah. Best of my favorite.
SPEAKER_01:I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:You think she's all that or never been kissed would be my favorite. My favorites, I think.
SPEAKER_01:One of those two.
SPEAKER_00:So she's all that, I think, is like the best Cinderella moment when she's coming down the stairs to kiss me. A plus, chef's kiss. Yeah, yes. She had a real Ava had a real issue, and like one of her least favorites was with never been kissed, which was like a dagger to my heart, but it makes a lot of sense. She is like, this is so creepy. Like she sure Drew Barrymore, for anyone who I mean, if you're listening to this and you haven't seen the movie, I am shocked. But um I would whatever. Spoiler alert. I feel like we're like, no judgment, no judgment. I'm like, judgment. She Drew Barrymore is like this very frumpy 25-year-old who goes, she's she's a reporter, or she's really like a copy editor, but she gets the chance to be an undercover reporter to go back to high school and see what kids are like nowadays. So she goes back to high school, you know. So she's 25, disguised as an 18-year-old, and she falls in love with her teacher, played by Michael Vartin, Sam. And Ava was like, This is so creepy. Like, even though she's really 25, why is this teacher, you know, pursuing or flirting with this student like gross? I mean, what am I gonna think? Of course. Well, you know, maybe if it's true love, I don't know. I I don't, it's just, I mean, you really can't like it's hard to defend, you know, because it's like, yeah, that's gross. So uh it's like a little tainted now for me. Yeah, I could look past that. I'm just choosing to live in the land of rom-coms where that's yeah.
SPEAKER_01:If they were like, if it if she was actually a student, that would be way different. But the fact that she was actually the same age as him, I feel like totally changes it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. So yeah, so anyway, I just need to pause on that. But don't you think he's hot? I think he's very attractive.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, he's very attractive. And the picture they have is like from Never Being Kissed. Okay. Last one I'll say is Sexiest New Heart Throb is Mason Tames. He may star in regretting you. Oh, so he's in regretting you. Oh okay.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know him, but he'll be on the battery. I actually haven't read that book. I did read that book. Um, really? Yeah, I think that was actually the first Colleen Hoover I read. Yeah, it was good. I heard it's I heard it's sad. It's not sad. I think it's the one, you know what? Actually, maybe it's not regretting you. Um it's the other Colleen. It's not. It's the other Colleen Hoover.
SPEAKER_01:She's got like 75.
SPEAKER_00:It's the other one that's coming out, though. It's gonna be made into a movie. It's the one where she's in jail and then she's gets out of jail. Okay, wait.
SPEAKER_02:Actually, I don't know if I've got the who oh shoot.
SPEAKER_00:I'm sorry. We might maybe if this takes too long, we'll edit it, but it's it's imperative. Um the guy who stars in that heartthrop. I'll get you the name. What is this? She gets out of prison? Are you sure? I'm sure you're not talking about the housemaid. I'm I'm pretty positive. Hold on. Reminders of him. Reminders of him. Oh, that's it. That's sure. What's the other one? Regretting You. Yeah. Yeah, same thing. Okay, reminders of him cast. And once I give you the name and you look it up. He's in something else. I just don't know what, but he is so attractive. It's next level. Um, what's the guy?
SPEAKER_01:Tyreek Withers?
SPEAKER_00:Yes, Tyreek Withers. Do you not think Tyreek Withers is Yeah, he's attractive. He's kind of like a Jesse Williams from Grays. Yeah. Dr. Avery.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Oh my god. Yeah. I saw him in, I went to the movies this summer and saw I Know What You Did Last Summer, like the remake, and he was in that.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I feel like I never really was into that. It was a little before our class, I feel like.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Um, but yeah, that was fun. Go, Jonathan Baylor. I know. Props, people. Props, people. The only other really thing we have to maybe note. Well, this isn't really a story, just alert. I think people might have seen. We talked about it maybe a month or so ago. Hillary Duff is coming out with new music tomorrow. New album.
SPEAKER_02:Oh.
SPEAKER_00:Let's go. She has a new single. I think it's dropping today, or maybe it's tomorrow. We couldn't find it. We can't find it. But I saw an article on like, I think it was Rolling Stone that said November 6th, she's dropping the single. So I don't know. But it's called Mature. And we're going to be listening to the album this weekend. So if anyone else wants to listen. Cannot wait. So if anyone else wants to listen, we're going to be talking about it on Monday. Just a heads up. Not much to share right now, but we're going to talk about it on Monday. So FY. And then the only other thing I feel like we should touch on because the new season is coming out this month. And we didn't mention it when it came out, I think last week. This was, I think, news from last week. But did you see? I don't have a lot of detail on it, that Millie Bobby Brown filed a, I think it was a bullying complaint against her co-star, David Harbour, who plays her father in Stranger Things.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I don't know why. I always thought they had like a really good relationship in real life, but apparently they didn't. Yeah, no. Apparently he there has it's been going on forever. Like there are people on the who have like worked on the set where like there's been like harassment claims and bullying for like years.
SPEAKER_00:You know what's so shocking about it, I think, is like they started shooting this when she was like a child, even though it's only five seasons, it's it premiered like what, seven years ago or something? It's been on for a while. Why are we now just hearing about this when the whole cast was like underage for the first two, three seasons? That feels suspicious.
SPEAKER_01:That does feel suspicious. I feel like those young kids get taken advantage of.
SPEAKER_00:Ever since the Nickelodeon documentary, I trust no one. I trust no one.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can totally see how it happened. But yeah, apparently, so it says she uh had to have a legal representative on set all times while at all times while shooting the show's final season. But it does say it did not include claims of sexual impropriety.
SPEAKER_00:So I guess that's thank God for that. But still, but still, and this guy, all I've ever heard about him recently, he's not someone I really care about, so I don't like pay attention. But I know that he recently broke up with his I don't know if they were engaged or wife, whatever, Lily Allen, the singer. And I think that they it there was some drama. I think there was like cheating allegations. Oh, she's she hints at his rumored infidelity in an upcoming album.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, this kind of sucks. Yeah. Damn. This guy does suck. I didn't even know that. Taking advantage of young kids.
SPEAKER_00:I'm curious if in maybe like five years after the show's been out for a long time, if we'll get the true story of what happened. But this feels really icky. She was very young when this started. I don't like that it's just now coming to the surface.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I feel like I'm putting something together here. You said that the new season's coming out this month. Yes. Thanksgiving. I feel like maybe they're trying to get a buzz. Which I hate. I know. But it's a good tactic, and I feel like it's one that people do now. I hate that. It's probably true. I'm not saying it's not true, but like that's probably why it's coming out right now.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Oh no, I totally believe that this is yeah, that this is true and has been going on. I really like Millie Bobby Brown. She seems like a very self-assured, confident person to me. Yeah. I love how she adopted a baby. Me too. I love that she just is living her life on her farm in like Georgia, wherever she is. So I definitely believe her, but I just hate that, yeah, this could be a ploy to get ratings by breaking the news about it now. I feel like because you and I would never do something like that, and I feel like we tend to be like more naive on like peep everyone's good, because that's like the worldview that we grew up in.
SPEAKER_01:Very gullible.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, very gullible. I just would never think to like I'm just like, why would people do that? But yeah, you're right. I I could totally see it.
SPEAKER_01:I know, I know. I never want to like think that the bad, the worst about people, but then you find out and you're like, oh, I guess that makes sense. And people suck, so yeah. Honestly, and like that show kind of sucks. Like, do you watch Stranger Things? Oh, I like Stranger Things. Uh I do too, but it's like on every like fucking four years. It's like takes forever to make it. Like, can you just can you not do that? Can they like make it so it's not like that, please? I don't know how, but I'm sure there's a way.
SPEAKER_00:Could not agree more. It's like euphoria. When are we gonna get the new the new season? It's annoying. I don't remember anything that happened. I feel like I need to go re-watch all the seasons, which I really don't want to do.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, like instead of trying to like spill all this drama right before, like maybe you should just put your seasons closer together and people will just naturally be more interested in. But yeah, no, the last season of Stranger Things, I thought was really good.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I just think of that scene with Sadie Sink's character, um Matt.
SPEAKER_01:So Yeah, I love that song. Yeah. Yeah. I love the uh the couple and too, the sister, and it it's like one of their sisters and one of the brothers, right? And they're they're dating in real life.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, yes. Yeah. They've been dating the whole time, the whole show. I know. I love them. I think they're so cute. I guess they have good chemistry for a reason. I know. And I like um I like the character of Steve. Oh, I love Steve. So lovable. So lovable.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Him and his um little duo partner. Who's uh what's his name in it? He's the one who sang my branding story. Is it the one with the curly hair? Yes. Yeah, I don't remember. See, this is why.
SPEAKER_01:I think four years.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. But I'm excited. I I can't wait for the new Me do. And honestly, it's probably good timing because Dancing with a Star. We need a new well that that okay, so this isn't like a weekly thing though. We need if anyone has ideas, uh won't Summer House come out soon. Summerhouse and Vanderpump just came out with a new trailer. They they have revamped the cast, brand new cast, and that's premiering, I think, next month.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, I'll give it a try, but I feel like Vanderpump was the cast, like that's why it was good.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, that's totally fair. So, but but we'll have this month to to binge and talk about. And it is coming out in parts, actually, now that we say that. Like they're releasing some episodes. I think it's Thanksgiving, I think it's three parts they're releasing episodes, like Thanksgiving, I want to say Christmas, and then I think even another third release date. So it's not gonna be like the whole season at once. I kind of like that. I'm a fan, I'm not a binger. I like when there's a show once a week or shows that release a couple episodes at a time.
SPEAKER_01:Uh yeah, I think the best is like when they do like two or three at a time. Yeah. It's I think one is one is is not a lot, I think.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I like the one. I like the whole like it's like the Dancing with the Stars effect. I like that everyone watches it once a week, and then you know, we all talk about it. And it's like when we talk about not having a song in the summer or like a collective thing that we're all experiencing. Yeah, this is like a type of thing that we can.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I just feel like binging, it's like an addiction, you know? It's like you really want it in that moment when it ends, and like it's so good then, versus like week to week. Then I'm like, oh, I gotta wait another week, and then I'm like, what happened last week?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, that's fair. Maybe we should say it for a different day, but we didn't ever talk about nobody wants this. So I still haven't been able to watch it. Oh, okay. Well, when you do watch it, you let me know, and then we'll we'll talk about it. I liked it, didn't love it, but there is a third season that got renewed for a third season.
SPEAKER_01:So I saw that. I saw that. Oh, so you didn't love it.
SPEAKER_00:I I really liked it. I think it's a hard, it's a hard first season to top. And like I'm always gonna enjoy the love story of when they first meet and fall in love versus like making the relationship work. So it was kind I kind of had a feeling that like nothing was gonna compare to season one for me. But there's a lot of um investment in the side characters, like Esther has a much bigger role, and so does her sister, and they're very good. So I really did enjoy it. Like I liked it, didn't I didn't love it. I mean, I loved season one.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I feel like that's typical, honestly. Most times, like season two of shows are not as good.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, not always, but usually, especially a show like that that's like you know, kind of like in the rom-com sphere and was so big, you know. Yeah, yeah. But but talking about it anyway, talking TV. Should we dancing with the stars it up?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, let's do it.
SPEAKER_00:It was rock and roll night. Do you want to start any what what were your takeaways?
SPEAKER_01:Um, I felt like their definition of rock and roll was very loose. Oh, okay, okay, yeah. Like, why is like I like outcast? Hey yeah, that's rock and roll. I don't know. Who did that one? People. I know it was like one of the in-between ones. Or maybe it might have been the people that are going on tour. I don't fast forwarded it, but oh like um Yeah, I think it was like the the professionals who are going on that tour.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, they're called it, they they're called like their true the troop dancers. Oh, so yeah.
SPEAKER_01:That's fair. I mean, even even Tina Turner, I've never heard thought of her as a rock and roll person, but so you know it's funny that you say that, Brittany, because I never would have either.
SPEAKER_00:But since I just saw the Tina Turner musical, that was like her whole thing. She wanted when she reinvented herself in the 80s to to be like the queen of rock and roll. Oh I would think Stevie Nicks. Yeah, I mean, I get that, but I do see why they included the Tina Turner thing because she is that is kind of like what she's doing.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, that makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, but I didn't know that either until um, and I did I wouldn't have associated her, so I totally get that.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, but yeah, otherwise, I mean I thought rock and roll night for me was like okay. Like, what the fuck was Flava Flav doing there? No, no. This like is he a professional dance, like dancer? Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_00:No, the minute that man walked out on that stage. First thought, I was like, scores are I mean, scores don't mean anything.
SPEAKER_01:But when he gave Dylan Efron a 10, I was like, dude, this is serious. This is serious, it's like he messed up his paddle or something.
SPEAKER_00:Like I could not, I knew that was gonna happen. Flavor Flav is like just out to lunch. Like, that's his whole personality. I don't know why they had him on. He was in um a really big group. He was in I don't know if it was around DMC, he kind of had a resurgence maybe like 10 years ago because he had on VH1 Flavor of Love, the reality show that was, you know, like he was trying to find a wife. And it was actually pretty popular because it was just so outrageous. Oh, public enemy, that's what he was in. He was in public enemy. I don't know what that is. They're a really big um hip hop group that came out. I think it was like the 80s. I there's a couple of things. Yeah, I'd probably know the songs. Yeah, probably. So yeah, that's why he's like well known. Like, is he is that just like how he acts, or like is he on drugs? That's how he acts. So, like the minute he came out, I I was like, what the f you know, like this is gonna suck. It was like last season they had Gene Simmons, and like Gene Simmons was commenting on people's looks half the time when in his judging comments, and you just I mean he was terrible. Um yeah, this was the exact same thing all over again. The minute he gave Dylan Efron a 10. Dylan Efron messed up in his like first three steps. Like, I don't know what they were they were thinking, you know? Yeah, Dylan Efron, I'm ready for him to go. I like him a lot, I love his partner, but I just don't think that he is as good as everyone thinks he is. And yeah, he's overhyped.
SPEAKER_01:Um, I feel like though with this one, it seems like they're it's definitely clear like who the top what four are. Definitely. Like it was crazy when people were like not even getting excited for getting like nines, like eights and nines, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00:They're like I know, no, I know. Well, but also on the flavor flav thing, like with the scoring, the fact that Alex Earl got three tens and then he gave her a nine when he gave every single person a 10 is yeah, outrageous. I know. Like, does he like have something against her? Well, he came out later same night in an interview and said that he actually meant to give her a 10. He screwed up the paddle, and because of the rules, he couldn't change his score.
SPEAKER_01:Like, I'm telling you, that's he was messing up the paddles. It was like it was we're on national television.
SPEAKER_00:Fucking learn how to flip a paddle if you're gonna be a judge. Did you do a run through? Like, have you seen the show? It's like I'm sorry. Whoever at ABC decided that he would be a good guest judge needs an evaluation. And I really hope they learn from this because I feel like now that they have such an invested following, people are upset, you know.
SPEAKER_01:Like I well, I just googled when I Googled Flave of Flaves to see like what he's famous for. A lot of bad articles about dance with the stars backlash.
SPEAKER_00:I'm I hope they hear it. I will say I thought Alex's dance was killer, and I loved her, I loved their look. Same, the like leather, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:It's really cool. And when they're doing the pasta doble, is that what it's called? Pasa Doble, yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, the top three couples did the pasta doble, so Alex did it, Whitney and Mark, and then Robert and Whitney.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I mean, I thought they all crushed it. I yeah, I think I still thought Alex was the best. Um, I mean, Whitney's really good, but I just they're just not likable. Oh, also, I think so. This show needs to tighten up their roles and stuff because like you were saying that Mark Ballis and Derek Kauf are like best friends. Yes, like that's so biased. They were best men in each other's weddings. Like, if if if I was a judge and you were dancing, I would obviously give you better scores than everyone else.
SPEAKER_00:1000%. I I couldn't agree with you more. I feel like in terms of like power rankings of who we think the best, like who's gonna win, I feel like Alex is kind of creeping up to my number one because she is so likable. She's crushing it and she's getting, it seems like she's getting better. Whitney is always gonna be good, but she's not likable. I hate to say it, she's just not. Yeah, not at all. She comes off, I think, very full of herself. Yeah, she does. And the thing with Robert and Whitney, although I could see them making it to finals and maybe winning, like I could definitely see them winning because he's so likable, also. Yeah, he's so likable. I feel like he started his first dance still, like was his best dance. It was so strong that even his pasta doble, like I thought it was good, but it I was like, no, it's not my favorite of the three. Like, I think he was my least favorite of those three passas.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I mine was probably Whitney's, but that's just because I don't like her.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. No, that's fair.
SPEAKER_01:But no, he oh, I feel like he seems though, like genuinely like so nice too. I feel like he's always the first person like hugging the people that get out and like rooting for the other people. Like just loving.
SPEAKER_00:I know. He said in an interview that his best like celebrity friend that he made on the show was Danielle, which I could so see because Danielle also has that she that's how that's the impression she leaves on me is that she's incredibly positive, like, fun, kind. She's also always someone like who's hugging people when they come up to get their scores. Yeah. Although I don't think that what do you think of her dance? Let's start there.
SPEAKER_01:Uh, I don't remember it. What was she wearing again?
SPEAKER_00:It was like um the contemporary, oh shoot, I don't remember the song, but it was the intro package was she was talking about her cancer diagnosis, and so it was like a very emotional empowering, and there was a lot of lifts and oh yeah, and she was trying to like be bigger on the stage or whatever after Gary Ann's feedback.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Gari Annama. I mean, I thought it was good. I I just feel like at this point it's kind of like even if she like crushed it, I still don't think she's gonna win. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:Well, she got out, yeah. I like I went into that dance, I wanted so badly to love it. Contemporary, you can kind of do your own thing. There's not really as many rules. So I was like, and then with the backstory, I was so hopeful that it was gonna be great. I thought the lists were cool, but like some of the times where she was just like punching the air or like doing so, like it just felt not strong enough. Yeah, yeah, I didn't love it. I hated that I didn't love it. I mean, I can't even remember it, so it's not very memorable. That's a great point. Yeah, I can barely remember it. So I even like I'm with you. I didn't think she was gonna make the the finals, and I didn't think she probably should, but I was so sad that she was a I know, I know, I know.
SPEAKER_01:Like the competition is too hard.
SPEAKER_00:Well, like I'm sorry, Andy mean I I know we love Andy, and I think that like I'm blaming Andy because he's a nice, he seems like a very nice guy, but Andy's gotta go. What are we doing?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I mean, people just like him, I guess. I do love him and Emma's like relationship though. I know it does seem like they're really good friends and like she loves him.
SPEAKER_00:I know, but the uh it's just like the dances aren't good. I don't like when they come on, yeah. Yeah, when they come on, I'm like, great. Like I it's just gonna be like whatever, it's gonna be whatever. Like, let's just get through this 90 seconds.
SPEAKER_01:But I do love how like I loved how in his intro thing he was like, people like celebrating my birthday now. Like he was like so excited to be like you know, relevant because of dancing with the stars. It was cute.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, that's true. That's true.
SPEAKER_01:And he seems like very appreciative.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I don't know. I think he's gotta go, but yeah, yeah. That's my opinion. It's gonna be him, then Dylan. Him, yeah. I think it would be him, then Dylan. And then there's only five couples left. I think there's only seven couples now. So it's yeah, so Andy and Emma, Dylan and Daniela, then it's Elaine and Alan. Elaine and Alan.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. What did you think about theirs?
SPEAKER_00:I absolutely loved their dance. Simple. It kind of I felt was like throwback y to like old, old dancing with the stars. Very simple, nothing crazy. She could not have looked more elegant, more crazy. I liked their colors and the dress and stuff. She looked unbelievable. I love these two so much. I just, yeah, I thought she was great. I was so happy she got all nines. And she needs to make finals. I need to see her make finals. And Lisa Ann Walter is the bestie of a lifetime. Every time that Elaine is dancing, I'm excited to see Lisa Ann Walter.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I know. I know. I love that. I love that. I love it. Forgot about that. You're the best. Yeah. I I liked her as I feel like it didn't wow me as much as like her wicked one. I I do feel like she kind of pulled back a little in terms of like the stunts, which is probably right. But yeah, otherwise that was good.
SPEAKER_00:I saw at the end, you know how they did the group dances? Yeah. She was like at the end when they were getting their scores, like holding her rib.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I feel like she's hurt and is not really saying it. Me too. I think she seems she seemed hurt at the end of it. So yeah. Understandable, but she's so graceful. I just love her. I love that whole story. I could see them being, though, of the seven, like it going Andy, then Dylan. I could see Elaine being like, and then the four making finals. We already talked, like Alex and um Alex, Robert, Whitney, and then Jordan and Ezra. Jordan, yeah. I like Ezra. I like Ezra too. It's funny. He's cute. I thought theirs was great. That's so interesting. I thought you weren't gonna like it because it was very heavy on the flips and stuff. The tumbling. I mean, yeah, I I still think it's unfair.
SPEAKER_01:I don't think she should win, but I do think she did a good job. Like, I feel like she kind of comes across as like, you know, very fierce and like stoic. Yeah. Because that's how it is in gymnastics. So I feel like she definitely did like go outside her comfort zone and like like playing a character more. And I think she did a good job.
SPEAKER_00:I thought it was the most entertaining. Her hair. I love the hair.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah. I thought she nailed it. I mean, she definitely did Tina Turner like, you know, justice.
SPEAKER_00:Agreed. Couldn't agree more. Um, yeah. The only other thing that I saw this week about Dancing with the Stars, like in terms of headlines, is that well, actually, I guess we don't really even need to talk about it. But Whitney kind of responded to claims that her and Jen Affleck are feuding, which oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Not surprising.
SPEAKER_00:Not surprising. So seems to be a little beef there. But I I mean, I I mean, Jen and Whitney could not have had like opposite, more opposite experiences on this show. Yeah, yeah.
unknown:Sadly.
SPEAKER_01:I wonder if it's gonna come out in the season. What do you mean? Like the show. Don't they like aren't they gonna film the show again after dancing with the stars?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, oh, the secret lives. Oh, I see what you're saying. Yes, I know. Oh, I wonder. I hope that they talk about dancing with the stars on the new Secret Lives of Mormon Lives. That would be great. I would maybe I'd watch. I'm not watching that. I wonder. It just seems weird. I haven't watched it yet. I could be I could be convinced. I wouldn't, you know, potentially.
SPEAKER_01:Seems like a bunch of wine moms in like Utah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I think that's exactly what it is.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, I guess to each his own.
SPEAKER_00:Well, next week is the 20th anniversary, and you want to know who the guest judge is gonna be?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:It's Tom Bergeron, who hosted the show for like I think the first like 15-20 seasons. So he does know the show. Oh, good, good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I want to let you have a dancer to be the judge.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, yeah. No more flavour flaves. Um, but we also have the songs that they're gonna be dancing to. Oh, yay. Okay, so Alex and Val are doing a foxtrot to singing in the rain. Oh, cute. That'll be fun. That'll be cute. Robert and Whitney are doing a foxtrot to Footprints in the Sand. I don't know it off the top of my head. I wonder how what I get the the what get this. Uh Whitney and Mark are doing an Argentine tango to sell block tango. Oh, wow. I don't remember how that goes, but it's pop sis like they had it coming.
SPEAKER_01:Damn, that's gonna be good.
SPEAKER_00:That's gonna be so good. Oh, yeah. That's what I'm most excited for, song-wise. Other couples, Dylan and Daniela, Argentine Tango, that's gonna be tough to compete with to Eight Nose Sunshine. Andy and Emma, Quick Step. Oh, that's gonna be hard to putting on the writs. Um, okay, and then Alan and Elaine are doing a salsa to It Takes Two. Oh cute. And then Jordan Ezra Cha Cha to Get Up. I don't know who sings that.
SPEAKER_01:I wonder what is there like a theme to the song? Like I know it's the 20th special. I wonder how they picked. I'm trying to think of if I can think of like a theme. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, that's a good question. Let me see if there's um anything in this article. Okay, so the ABC revealed the songs and special performances, 20th birthday party night. Former host Tom Bergeron returns. Yep, yep, yep. Oh, uh Derek Huff is choreographing the opening number, so that'll be good. Like a reimagined version of the show's theme song. There's gonna be a lot of current and old pros coming back. That'll be good. Oh, then there's gonna be a tribute to late dancers of the show said to always remember us this way by Lady Gaga, performed by Ezra and Riley.
SPEAKER_01:Late members of like people who have died?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Oh wow, it's been on that long.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, 34 seasons. Yeah. Um, and it's the 20th anniversary. It's like the same age as us. I know. And then on top of that, couples will there's like a new format. So previous like celebs, I think, are coming back and doing like a relay dance. I don't know. So there's other people, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I see what you're saying though, about those like extra things. Like, I don't know, it was cute, but I will say I thought the Chicago people were way better than the other people, and that's not what I thought was gonna happen.
SPEAKER_00:Me too. I kind of thought though, with like Andy, it would be a little hard to do something like all together that was really great. I feel like they had to kind of simplify the choreography. Yeah, that's probably true. Another great episode. I just love dancing with the stars.
SPEAKER_01:I know, I know. I like seeing uh, what's his name do the Carlton too?
SPEAKER_00:Yes, Alfonso. Is he a legit dancer? I don't think so, but he did win with Whitney on his season.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, so he was with celeb and he did it with Whitney, the the blonde one that's yeah, Whitney Carson.
SPEAKER_00:That was her only win. Oh was with him.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:So it must be hard to win. Yeah, I think there's a lot of pros who have never won. Like Darek Cup won six times and Marks won three times, Val's won three times.
SPEAKER_01:Wasn't Ariana on it? Was she on it last season from Vanderpump?
SPEAKER_00:She wasn't on last season, but she was on within the past few seasons. She was partnered with Pasha and they came in second.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, okay. I was like, for some reason I thought she won, but I hate her, so I'm glad she didn't.
SPEAKER_00:I don't get why you hate her. Because she thinks she's better than everyone. I yeah, I don't know. I feel like you've never liked her, but I've always never. Never. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I just think she's actually better than everyone. That's all. That's the reason. To each their own. To each their own.
SPEAKER_00:To each their own. Well, that's all the time we have for today. Thanks so much for listening in. We're gonna be back on Monday with another episode. We're gonna have a snitch session for you. We're gonna be talking about Hillary Duff's new music.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Remember to like us, follow us, comment at us, friend us at Snitchin' Pod on TikTok and Instagram. Tell everyone you know about us. And again, don't everyone's invited to be a guest. So reach out however you want. Bye. Bye.
