Rosa Rodriguez sits beside her 19-year-old daughter, Alexei Treviso. They have no idea this is the moment their lives would change forever.

SPEAKER_07

We discovered that I didn't in the bathroom. Oh my god. I just asked you baby to tell me the truth. Nine months.

SPEAKER_14

Alexei Treviso walked into a hospital as a patient. Hours later, a was discovered, concealed in a bathroom trash can nearby. And what began as a medical emergency quickly turned into something far more serious. A situation that would shock everyone in that hospital.

SPEAKER_19

And so I started getting the trash out, and then when I did that, I seen that there was the energy delivered.

SPEAKER_14

The investigation that followed would leave officers, medical staff, and family members in disbelief, as the truth behind what happened inside that hospital slowly began to come to light. What should have been a routine visit quickly turns into something far more disturbing. Staff would claim they found her wrapped in a hidden at the bottom of the trash can. That single discovery triggers a police response and transforms a hospital visit into a horrifying criminal investigation.

SPEAKER_01

So we started working her up. We did a pregnancy test on her, showed positive. She was denying that she had sex. Then she said she had to go to the bathroom. She went to the bathroom. She was in there for quite a while. We kept knocking on the door. Finally, we got her to open the door, and there was everywhere. She was cleaning it up. So we took her back to the room, and I was afraid that she knew she was pregnant. She had done something to herself. So the doctor started doing a vaginal exam on her. We had the lady come to clean the bathroom. The baby Okay, we have them in Toronto too, but Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

How old was the elderly?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, it's full-time. She just had it, she had it in the bathroom, is what happened. And then she whatever she did, I don't know. She's gonna lie. She wouldn't even tell us she's pregnant. She's been lying the whole time. So that's what's going on. Um I just pulled the doctor out of the room, so nothing's been said of the patient or the mother that's in there yet.

SPEAKER_14

With officers now fully briefed on what happened, they prepare to tell the mother the truth, still unaware of what's unfolding around her. And while Alexi believes her secret will remain buried, police are about to bring it into the light.

SPEAKER_09

I'm sorry to care about that.

SPEAKER_07

We discovered a dead in the bathroom. Oh my gosh. I'm sorry. Maxi, I told you about this. I just asked you, baby, to tell me the truth.

SPEAKER_09

What did you do to it? Okay, stop right here. Number one priority, guys. Number one priority is she just had a baby. I don't know if she's delivered the placenta. She's significantly.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

I've spoken to the obstetrician at Loveless. They want her up there as soon as possible. I need your permission to transfer her from medical since she is. Oh, you're right. But she is a student too. No, my chair is right. You you're right. She used to. Sorry, I forgot she's like, I'm sorry about this, but in terms of delivering um a baby, and it looked like you tried to hide it, we do have to have the police involved. Nothing was crying. It came out with nothing. I know, I know. But the the is gonna have to be taken for autopsy and you know be an investigator and everything. I'm really sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, but we need to do this correctly. Um, and I want to be transparent with you about what our steps are gonna be.

SPEAKER_14

Alexi has no idea this moment will become the biggest regret of her life, as Officer Alexander Williams and Officer Xavier Anaya step in to detain her, telling her that detectives are on the way to uncover what led to this tragic incident.

SPEAKER_12

I got I got detectives on the way, so they're gonna they're gonna be talking to her.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Like how babies are babies.

SPEAKER_01

It's full-term.

SPEAKER_07

What nine months? Something was crying.

SPEAKER_06

Let's see. Have you watched the news of the girls that what they do to their babies and what they go to jail?

SPEAKER_12

So as of right now, like what I said is we're gonna have the detectives come over here and they're gonna talk to you, okay? We have to gather some more information about what's gonna what's going on. They'll get your statement, they're gonna get the doctor's statements, they're gonna get everybody's statements, okay? So I don't know everything yet, okay? So I'm not gonna tell you I can't tell you nothing, honestly, okay?

SPEAKER_03

All I'm gonna say is couldn't go to jail.

SPEAKER_12

But right now she no, well, right now she's being detained. So she she's not gonna leave from here at all, period. Okay, so one of us will be in your custody, but yeah, she's detained. Yeah, she's not under arrest, but she is detained. Okay, she's not free to leave. So while this whole thing is coming up, is you're not free to leave, okay? One of us will be in here the whole time with you because you're not gonna try to leave or nothing like that. So like I said, the detectives will be here, they're gonna talk to you.

SPEAKER_14

However, Alexei has no idea that the decision to move her to a bigger hospital will buy her time. The moment she's transferred, the questions end. That's why officers and detectives press in, racing to learn what they can before she's taken away.

SPEAKER_12

Your care is of the utmost right now, okay? They're gonna do what they need to do to take care of you to make sure you get stable. They get you transferred out or whatever. Like I said, the detectives have already been notified, they're already on the way, so they're gonna come talk to you. All right. So don't leave, don't try to do nothing. One of us is always gonna be in here in this room with you, okay? Unless we have to step out for doctor's orders or something like that, because if they need to examine you or do something with you. But other than that, like I said, you are detained, you are not free to leave at this point. Do you understand that?

SPEAKER_08

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_12

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Where was the lady at?

SPEAKER_12

I I don't know. I have no clue yet. Like I said, I just talked to the charge nurse. We're still getting all the information right now. Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_14

Um as the clock starts working against them. One turns to the medical staff, gathering statements from those who witnessed everything. The other heads straight for the hospital's CCTV, locking down the footage before it's lost.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_15

Um, can you just tell me from the beginning, like what I'm So I can actually get that the nurses that were involved and and the housekeeper, because the housekeeper and our ER tech are the ones who found the actual bag.

SPEAKER_02

Where are they?

SPEAKER_15

Let me get them. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Uh can you just get the housekeeper first?

SPEAKER_15

Yeah. Hey Lila, it's Marina. Hey, you wanna you wanna come to the ER lounge? The detective was meeting the speaker.

SPEAKER_14

While Detective Gonzalez waits for the nurse to arrive, Detective Minter moved to track down the hospital CCTV. The footage is either still there or leaves them with nothing at all.

SPEAKER_11

How's it going? I mean they're brain got me.

unknown

Um guess we had a uh yeah. Was it the staff bathroom? Okay. I wasn't I wasn't on the call.

SPEAKER_11

I've I I've I've missed this because I wasn't fully involved with everything either, so I'm trying to do that. I'm assuming it's that bathroom in the hall, like going to X-ray and Yeah, because we have a we have a patient in the staff bathroom, and we have her block and we're gonna just the left go in that direction as well, but we'll pull it in the camera.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_14

Meanwhile, back with Detective Gonzalez, it doesn't take long for one thing to become clear. This wasn't just an accident. It points to a secret Alexei had been hiding from her mother all along. A truth that, if admitted earlier, might have changed how everything unfolded.

SPEAKER_02

Hi, I'm Detective Gonzalez. You can sit down if you are you don't have to. Uh uh.

SPEAKER_03

It's just been crazy.

SPEAKER_02

It's okay. Sauce told you were Lori?

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So can you tell me uh your involvement with everything?

SPEAKER_04

Um, well, when the patient went to the bathroom, like we didn't know if she was delivering or anything. I she was in there for quite some time. So me and a couple of nurses, we were we kept knocking on the door to see if she was okay. Because she came in with cramping and then she had a positive pregnancy test. So we thought she was miscarrying or something. So we were just making sure she was okay. And when she when uh the one of the nurses said, Can you we have a key from this bathroom? And I said yes. So I went to go get the key, but by the time I came back, she had already opened the door and nothing. So I called housekeeping to come and clean it, which she did, and then when she picked up the trash can, she said she called me, she says, she goes, Oh come here, the trash can't heavy. And I said, Heavy, yeah, okay. So I put gloves on, and when I removed the one at the bag, she had to place the bag back in, so I removed the bag. There was like two paper towels, like bundled up in there, and then like uh two of the clear charge bags like balled up on top, and so when I did finally get to the bottom, I picked the bag up and I noticed it wasn't because I saw the because it's clear bags. So when I opened it up, I was like, oh my gosh, like that's when I called my charge nurse, and I said she delivered her trash it through. This is the first time I've ever had experience this, so I know for future references to take the trash can. But like we both looked. Um, I think the nurse looked too just to make sure you know we didn't see anything.

SPEAKER_14

For now, Detective Gonzalez takes her statement at face value. But across the hospital, Detective Minter is already combing through the CCTV, rewinding to the exact moments that matter most.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, it's already actually about 153, but nothing's like it's holding to the door. 157 she likes out.

SPEAKER_17

157, she blocks out, yeah.

SPEAKER_14

As the investigation deepens, the cameras begin to tell their own story. On the CCTV, you can see Alexi's mother pacing back and forth, checking on her again and again. Nurses hover near the door, waiting, unaware of what's unfolding, just feed away. To the officers watching, her calm demeanor is almost more unsettling than the scene she left behind, and it leaves detectives with a question that won't let go. Now, imagine seeing so much more. Well, that's why we went all out and decided to create channels in every niche, which are still based on true crime for you to enjoy. I mean, who doesn't like seeing people's reactions like these? From no commentary to just interrogation. Because I know some of you guys hate that, but that's not the end. We really enjoy what we are building, so we have an exclusive Patreon community where they get first hand access to anything we post and all uncensored footage and images. And some of the things are truly horrifying.

SPEAKER_02

Hi, Rosa? Yeah, that's me. Okay. Is this your family? Yes. Okay, how detectives also are TJ Police Department? Uh what questions do you have for me right now?

SPEAKER_08

Um, what's gonna go on? Like, what can I be with her?

SPEAKER_02

Can uh She's getting life-letted out right now.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So they're taking her right now.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I haven't spoken to her at all.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, so like what like what's gonna go on? Like what uh are the what's gonna happen with her?

SPEAKER_02

Like So she's gonna get treatment before we even talk to her because she needs to be stabilized. So she that's why she didn't lifeline it out.

SPEAKER_13

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Once she gets stabilized, we'll try and talk to her. Um, the baby's gonna go up north for autopsy. More likely we'll be done with them the next day.

SPEAKER_08

Um, is she gonna get detained after like she's released? How get what? Like, are y'all gonna take her into custody or anything like that?

SPEAKER_02

Like, that depends on what the DA finds. We have to wait for the autopsy to come back to see what happened. Because right now it's how everything happened. We we're gonna do an investigation. So still home. We don't we don't know. That's why we'll be going up north. Even though she's of age, if she's not available to be contacted, can we put you down as next can for all my okay and you'd be grandmother? I am on. So you'd be the descent. You'd be the decision's grandmother. Yes. Okay. Just wanted to make sure. So she deaths to her boyfriend.

SPEAKER_14

As the officer prepares to leave, a call comes in that changes the direction of the case. He hangs up and turns back, letting Alexi's family know that once Alexi has been cleared at the larger hospital, she's being sent home with her mother.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_08

As soon as they're done with her, like if everything's okay, will I be able to bring her home with me? Yes. I will? Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's I don't know where she'll be going with me.

SPEAKER_08

No. My health.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, like, when she gets like it. I don't know which one.

SPEAKER_08

They told me Loveless. Loveless regional.

SPEAKER_02

Loveless regional?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's my card. You know, keep a hold of me. Okay. So if she stays at Loveless and then she gets released, she can go back to y'all. Okay. So what did she come here for that she told you?

SPEAKER_08

She had she told me she had back pain.

SPEAKER_02

That's it? That's it. Has she been having back pain before?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she's pain for her and her hips is is I mean, she was born with like her, I don't know, it was like crooked.

SPEAKER_02

Her spine?

SPEAKER_08

Okay, because my ex-husband, he hit he beat me whenever I was pregnant with her. So she was early. So um she had some problems with her hips. Like I always had to take her to chiropractor to get adjusted because she couldn't use, like, she was always getting constipated, like she had to get lined up, whatever. So, I mean, I've been taking her to chiropractor because I always thought, you know, well, this time, you know, I didn't know. I honestly didn't know she was pregnant. I didn't know. I just thought, like she said, I have back pain while my hips are hurting me. I think I need to go to the chiropractor. I said, okay, let's go tomorrow. But she was like in really a lot of pain, and you know.

SPEAKER_02

When did it start?

SPEAKER_00

Like the pain.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um today she's hurting. Yesterday she said it was really bad that her hips were hurting her back. And then last night we're on the phone together, and she said her her hair was hurting bad, hasn't asked her if anything else is hurting. And she said just everything. And she went to sleep.

SPEAKER_08

But she's a cheerleader too, so she's big in cheer. They have cheer competition. She's she works out.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, she's been active this whole time.

SPEAKER_08

She's been active this whole time.

SPEAKER_02

Do you all have any questions for me right now?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Do you have my number? You can that is my work phone if you want to text me. Okay. Or call me. I have my email on there as well, okay? Oh. Sergeant and I got your information right? Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_14

Nurses move to transport Alexi, concerned about how much b she's lost. Their priority is her condition, and at that moment, officers lose their chance to ask anything more.

SPEAKER_12

Okay, Alexi, so you're getting obviously you're getting transport, okay? Well, if you'll be not detained no more, the detectives will be contacting you, okay? So they'll get a hold of you.

SPEAKER_13

So let me get this number.

unknown

All the way under there, see? Once we get the thing started, we can keep running a bit short flight upgraded.

SPEAKER_14

Alexei is flown by helicopter from Artesia General Hospital to Lovelace Medical Center in Roswell, a trip of roughly 40 to 45 miles. The transfer isn't about the investigation, it's about her condition. Nurses are concerned about the amount of blood she's lost and the risk of complications after delivery. Once she arrives, doctors begin a series of tests. She's given an OB evaluation, taken in for an ultrasound, and closely monitored to make sure she isn't hemorrhaging or suffering from retained tissue. Every step is focused on clearing her medically. But what Alexei doesn't yet know is that by the end of it, she won't be held. She'll be allowed to walk out of the hospital the very same day, while investigators are left waiting for their next move. By the next morning, Alexei is back to her routine, moving through the day like the night before never happened. Meanwhile, officers plan to approach her at school. Instead, what she does next turns the investigation into a game of cat and mouse. And officers start off with ringing her mother, Rosa.

SPEAKER_02

Hello? Hi, Miss Rodriguez. Yes, sir. Hi, this is Detective Gonzalez, Artisia Police Department. Who is it? Detective Gonzalez, Artisia Police Department? Yes, sir. Hi. Uh I'm calling you today because I try to get a hold of Alexi at uh school.

SPEAKER_05

Why would you go to school? Why wouldn't you come here to my house?

SPEAKER_02

Well, because you told me that I need to speak with a lawyer before you talk to me. So but I need to hear that from Alexi first. Would you be willing to just tell me that in person at your house?

SPEAKER_03

Okay, why? Yeah, I'll never tell you.

SPEAKER_02

Hi, is this Alexi? Hi ma'am. I just need to meet you in person. I know your mom told me before you that you wanted to talk you'd only talk with a lawyer present. I just need to hear that in person, okay?

SPEAKER_03

Um I'll only talk with the lawyer present.

SPEAKER_02

I just have to hear that in person, okay? When would it be a good time to meet you? To tell me that in person.

SPEAKER_05

You can come to my house right now, Detective Gundell, if you want you. I'm here and she's here.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, that'll work. I'll head that way then.

SPEAKER_05

All right, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

All right, thank you.

SPEAKER_14

Alexei's mother invites the detectives into their home, unaware of what's really about to happen. She believes this is just a conversation, a chance for Alexei to say she won't speak without a lawyer. But the officers have a different plan. This is a pretext to contact a meeting framed as a talk, designed to bring Alexei into a controlled setting for what comes next. Within minutes, officers arrive at the scene, prepared for the worst. However, their next move would catch both Alexi and her mother off guard and prove to be the detective's smartest decision yet.

SPEAKER_18

Okay, so what is she underwrest? She's over 18.

SPEAKER_05

I I understand that. What if she under arrest? What do you mean that's all you're gonna tell me? I understand that, but I I have a right to know as well. Okay, then let me know now. Let me know now. I'm giving you the information. I told you to answer my question. What is she under arrest for? No, I'm not bringing her out here yet. Let me know if she's under arrest for you. For what? For what? For what?

SPEAKER_02

Tampering with evidence.

SPEAKER_05

Tampering with evidence? At the hospital?

SPEAKER_18

Okay.

SPEAKER_14

Alexi's mother is caught off guard by what unfolds. She then presses for the warrant, searching for something to stop what's happening. But the answer never changes. And in the end, she has no choice but to let it happen.

SPEAKER_18

It's nothing personal. It really isn't. And we understand. But we have to do our jobs too.

SPEAKER_03

I understand that. I understand that. That's that's Melanie. That's uh Devin's Devin's law. She's she's good. She's okay.

SPEAKER_20

We're not gonna be rough with her on anything. We're just gonna take her.

SPEAKER_03

Please don't be rough with her points.

SPEAKER_20

Just bring her out. You can be with her the entire time. Okay? What's your name?

SPEAKER_08

Alexi. Okay. She don't even know it. I don't know.

SPEAKER_20

Alexia, do you know your date of birth?

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_20

Okay. That is it.

SPEAKER_08

Do you have to walk her own way okay when you bring her part of her? Yeah, that's all.

SPEAKER_11

I'll go get it.

SPEAKER_08

Has still been um like bleeding, so I don't know if she needs to be.

SPEAKER_02

Do you have any uh they do I don't know if they have tampons?

SPEAKER_11

Okay, okay, but I'm pretty sure if you take your own, you can use your own.

SPEAKER_08

Can she? Do you want to grab some can she grab some of that real quick? Get your little bag.

SPEAKER_06

Go ahead. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_08

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_20

Okay. Just make sure you're doing a little bit. Okay. Okay, they're gonna check it when you get over there, okay? Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. I'm going up there right now, too. Okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_02

What's in there? Personal pads. Personal pads.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she needs. She needs them.

SPEAKER_14

As Alexei was taken into custody, investigators waited on the medical examiner's findings because without an official cause of death, the most important question in this case is still unanswered. However, what officers uncovered with the autopsy would answer the one question everyone kept dodging. According to the At the station, Alexi is placed into a holding cell. Just outside, her mother steps forward with questions that officers don't have answers for.

SPEAKER_02

I just had to make sure she got it first, and then she was okay with it. So she was on there, so she did work. Okay? This is a criminal complaint. Okay? She wants this is her copy. She didn't want to give you a copy. She just didn't want to read it, so this is hers, okay? If she needs a cop, we can get her another one. Also did a search warrant for her DNA. All it is is a beautiful swab, like when you go to the doctor's office, you open your mouth, you have a cop, like a when you have a s a cough.

SPEAKER_08

Did she do that?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Thank you for being so nice to her.

SPEAKER_02

All right. We'll leave it all to you.

unknown

Thanks.

SPEAKER_14

Now the two detectives will conduct all interrogations. And this is where things start to take a concerning turn. Detectives start off by questioning the housekeeper and what she would say would even concern the most seasoned officers.

SPEAKER_19

Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

I'm the mentor. I'm the end of this. Yes, we've got to be.

SPEAKER_19

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Um, so can you tell me everything that happened on January 27th?

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Like your involvement from the time I was called? Yeah, to the end.

SPEAKER_19

Okay. I was called and uh to go clean the patient's bathroom in ER around I can't maybe two o'clock or so, I think it was the time. I'm not too sure. So when I went in there, it was a glory massacre miss.

SPEAKER_20

Could you describe it if possible?

SPEAKER_19

Uh yeah, there was anywhere. Um there was floor on the wall.

SPEAKER_02

Do you remember which wall?

SPEAKER_19

Um the one behind the toilet and then the one on the side right here. You know, there's the one on where the toilet sets the back of that.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah.

SPEAKER_19

And then on the side.

SPEAKER_21

Uh where the call button is? Yeah. Okay. And what else happened?

SPEAKER_19

Oh, okay. Then I went in there and then um I started cleaning. I started um first thing I did was I started mopping because we can't be walking around on that.

SPEAKER_13

Okay.

SPEAKER_19

So I started mopping, and then I started um after that I started wiping everything down. I went to the toilet, you know, and I cleaned the toilet, and then I got everything. I had to do everything like twice because it was you know bad. I could wipe down the walls and and everything. And after I did all that, I used to throw my trash first, but for some reason that night I had to clean the floor up and everything else. And uh when I went to put on the trash, I felt that when I picked up the trash and I looked in it, there was a you know, there was trash in it, but I knew that it was it felt like when I picked it up, it was on weight, so I thought it was the the trash bags because we put the trash bags on the bottom. And so I started getting the trash out, and then when I did that, I seen that there was a and that's when I um I freaked out and I called uh um Lori and HT or the nurses of friend.

SPEAKER_21

I know it's buggy bugs you looking like the strike.

SPEAKER_19

Yeah, it was here.

SPEAKER_14

And um he was like with the housekeeper's account on record, detectives don't slow down. They move straight to the next person who played a pivotal role in what unfolded that night.

SPEAKER_17

So I know we just want to start that off with all the all the interviews.

SPEAKER_21

Um, so if you could, could you just tell us everything from your contact with either the patient or the child, any contact you had from beginning to end. Aki t tell us what happened.

SPEAKER_10

So she came out of the restroom. Uh there was a little trailer. Bathroom back to her room. Uh we went to her room, I went to get her undressed. Uh the doctor came in, explained to her that she had a miscarriage. Her mom had a back and forth about it.

SPEAKER_17

The doctor said she had a miscarriage.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. She said it like it seems essentially like I'm not sure the exact words. She said, you know, it seems that you've uh suffered from a miscarriage, which didn't seem totally abnormal. I don't think awful miscarriages before they're very bloody. Oh, the mom was upset because she had had sex and hadn't told her. So they were going back and forth on that, and then she was just denying it, which was a little out of the wasn't really deniable at that point in time. Right.

SPEAKER_21

So the patient was denying having sex at this point to her mom.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, she was trying to state that she was still a virgin.

SPEAKER_10

After she came in from the bathroom and all the blood and all the so uh did the pelvic, and then I think shortly after that the mom was in the waiting room after that. Um and then she was just worried, she was asked me like what was gonna happen. I told her I was like, I did not know.

SPEAKER_21

Um Is this when she told when she you f found out she was worried about getting in trouble? Did she tell you anything like that?

SPEAKER_10

She didn't say anything about what had happened. She was just essentially worried that she was just gonna get in trouble.

SPEAKER_21

So uh that's what I mean. Were those a question she was asking?

SPEAKER_10

Like what's gonna happen to me, like that kind of thing.

SPEAKER_17

Did she ever ask about the baby? Not what I'm gonna do. And so her folks her being in trouble.

SPEAKER_14

Detectives now have a better picture of what they are looking for, specifically for the way Alexi acted, and even more with the reason behind her actions, and what the nurse would say next would paint a darker picture.

SPEAKER_10

Uh, ultrasound with the tech was in the room with her, ask uh if there was anything. She pretty much said, would there be any like bad outcomes if she had started taking stopped taking one medication and stopped taking another? And I said, Well, what medications are you talking about? She said, Well, what would happen if I stopped taking birth control and started taking weight loss medications? And I was like, I I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

That's a odd question. Like, expand on that? She didn't tell you why she was thinking that?

SPEAKER_10

No, that seemed obvious in my head though.

SPEAKER_02

So could you like tell me why it seemed obvious?

SPEAKER_10

Well, it seemed like she'd been trying to hide this pregnancy from her mother from some for some time. So if you pray if you know you're pregnant, you're not going to continue taking birth control lessons. But if you're trying to hide it, you might start taking weave loss medications. That's just kind of what it seemed like in my head.

SPEAKER_21

Okay. So I want to make sure. Because it seems like it to me is just want to make sure.

SPEAKER_17

I'm not thinking. And was the argument between her and her mom pretty heated? I wouldn't say heated, it was awkward. Awkward.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. Like they were going back and forth and they were her mom was definitely angry.

SPEAKER_21

And Facing is 19. Her mom is quite a bit older.

SPEAKER_17

Gotcha. And they never once asked about the baby. During the entire time you had contact with her once she left the bathroom. Even after they found out that the baby was found and all that, they never asked anything about the baby.

SPEAKER_10

I did go now that I think about it, I did go check on the mom just to give her an update. And I think she asked about the situation. Um, like asked what was going on. But I told her I couldn't tell her anything. So I just went to go tell her that like she's being transferred to Roswell. Right. And give her an update on her daughter, essentially, and that she asked about like what what was going on with all of that. She said, what happened to the bathroom? What happened to the bathroom? I said, I can't I can't tell you.

SPEAKER_14

As the interviews continue, detectives begin to see the motive take shape. The nurse explains that Alexei's panic centers entirely on her mother's reaction, not the baby itself. At no point, she says, does Alexi show concern for the child. And for detectives, that detail becomes a turning point in how they understand what happened. With all of this, Alexei Treviso faces first degree murder and tampering with evidence. Yet on a$100,000 bond, she remains free, while the fight over what evidence can be used keeps the case locked in the courts.
