What if being salt and light isn't about trying harder, but about being transformed deeper?

In this episode, we continue our Foundations of the Kingdom series by exploring one of Jesus' most famous metaphors from the Sermon on the Mount. When Jesus tells his followers "you are the salt of the earth" and "you are the light of the world," he's not giving them a to-do list—he's revealing their identity and purpose.

We'll unpack what salt and light actually meant in the first-century world (hint: it's way more significant than we realize), why Jesus says our righteousness must surpass that of the Pharisees, and what it means that he came to "fulfill" the Law, not abolish it.

But here's the real question: Where has God placed you to be salt and light? Your family? Your workplace? Your neighborhood? That difficult relationship?

You're not called to be someone else's salt and light. You're called to be yours—right where you are, in the ordinary, everyday rhythms of your life. Because formation leads to mission. Character produces influence.

Join us as we discover how transformed hearts produce transforming influence, one conversation, one act of mercy, one choice at a time.
