You're Not Falling Apart.
You're Carrying Too Much For Anyone to Bare.
There is a kind of grief that often goes unspoken during fertility struggles.
Not the grief of a single loss.
But the grief of loss that accumulates over time.
The waiting.
The uncertainty.
The hopes that rise and fall daily, weekly, monthly.
The version of life you thought you'd be living by now.
In this episode, we're talking about the emotional weight of fertility struggles and why so many women end up believing they're not coping well enough, when in reality they've been carrying far more than anyone can see.
We'll explore:
• The cumulative grief of fertility struggles
• Why your exhaustion makes sense
• The impact of prolonged uncertainty on your nervous system
• Why emotional support is not a luxury, but a necessity
• How small moments of rest can help you reconnect with yourself
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or wondering why this journey feels so hard, this episode is a gentle reminder that there is nothing wrong with you.
You're not too sensitive.
You're not weak.
And you're not falling apart.
You're carrying something incredibly hard in a world that isn't fully awake to what you're going through.

If you're listening to this in a waiting room or in your car before you go inside and put your brave face on, or lying awake at 3:00 AM with thoughts that just won't quieten down, this episode is for you. Today, I want to talk about something that doesn't get said enough Not the clinical side of this journey, not the protocols or the timelines or the statistics, but the part that lives underneath all of that. The part that's slowly and quietly exhausting you and tearing you apart There's a kind of grief on this journey that nobody really has a name for. It isn't the grief of a single loss, although that may be part of your story too It's the cumulative grief, the weight that builds slowly, cycle by cycle, appointment by appointment, hope by hope. It's the grief of the version of you that you thought would be living your life right now. It's the grief of watching time pass by. It's the grief of feeling left behind. The grief of a body you're not sure you can trust anymore. The grief of relationships quietly strained by something other people can't fully see And here's what I notice most in the women I work with. They are functioning brilliantly, in fact. Going to work, showing up, holding it together, while privately carrying something enormous and hugely painful, and wondering why they can't seem to handle it better. Feeling that they should be coping with it far better than they are But that's a myth I want to gently challenge that myth today. The idea that there is a better way to handle this, because what I see as a former midwife and as someone who has personally walked through infertility for six years, including IVF and pregnancy loss, is not women that aren't coping. It's women who have been coping for too long with so little acknowledgement that they have started to believe that their struggle is a personal failing They're too hard on themselves Your nervous system is responding to real sustained uncertainty and heartbreak. Your emotions are responding to real accumulated loss, monthly loss. Your exhaustion is responding to a journey that asks everything of you physically, emotionally, financially, and relationally You're not being too sensitive. You're certainly not weak And although it's hard to believe, you are not falling apart You are carrying too much, often feeling isolated and alone, and that's what matters I really believe that emotional support during this journey isn't a luxury. It should never be considered a luxury. It isn't something you earn once things get bad enough. It's something you deserve right now in the middle of it because you are a whole person, not just a patient. And support doesn't have to look like a big commitment or a formal process. Sometimes it starts with simply allowing yourself to be honest about how you're feeling. Sometimes it's finding a space, even a small one, a quiet one that reminds your nervous system that you are safe right now in this moment That is exactly why I created my free meditations They were made with you in mind, in exactly the place you might be right now. Not to fix anything, not to push you towards positivity that you don't feel. Just to offer you a moment of genuine rest, a breath, a reminder that you matter in this, not just your outcome. It's the kind of space and moments that I wish I'd had in my journey too. The kind of moments that I wish I'd found much earlier in my journey Before I go, I want to leave you with this. The fact that you are still here, still hoping, still trying, still showing up, says something really profound about who you are. Not just about your results, not about your timeline, but about your heart about your resilience About your courage And about you and your heart deserving to be taken care of too, right here, right now I'll see you in the next episode. And until then, be gentle with yourself Like you would a friend
