In this special year-end episode, Jen and Dagda explore the fascinating history behind New Year's resolutions and the beloved song "Auld Lang Syne." Journey back to ancient Babylonia (4,000 years ago) and ancient Rome (46 BC) to discover how Julius Caesar established January 1st in honor of Janus, the two-faced god of beginnings and endings. Learn about the Christian covenant renewal services of the 18th century and why most resolutions fail by the end of January.

The hosts also dive deep into the Scottish origins of "Auld Lang Syne," from Robert Burns' 1788 poem to Guy Lombardo's Royal Canadians making it an American New Year's tradition in 1929.
