The Outsider Discovery

I'm not interested. In being wrong? Nobody's interested in being wrong. How you doing today? I'm doing good. How was your weekend? Yeah. Played some video games. Yep. Hung out with some other friends. Yep. And I found a new TV show. Oh, really? Oh, really? So the good thing is it's very intriguing. It sucked me in. I'm already halfway through it. The bad thing is, is they didn't do a second season. Ah, of course. Here's the crazy thing. So HBO has the rights to it. HBO. Yeah. Hobo boxing. Anyways. Um, so it is based on a book that Stephen King did called The Outsider. And I and I haven't read it. I'm I want to see if they have an audible version of it, but I'm, you know, almost done with my drugs and stuff. But, anyways, and uh so it's got Jason Bateman in it, and it's got I am not gonna say his name right, no matter how hard I try. It's Ben Mendelholm, okay, uh, an Australian actor, but it's got Jason Bateman in it. The the story is wild, and Cynthia Arrivo as well, and she's the one who just played Alphaba in the the Wicked and Wicked for Good movies. Not that you watched.

Yeah, she was the yeah, she was Alphabit, the wicked witch, which is funny because somebody at work is just like, I watched Wicked. I was just like, Oh, what'd you think? Because they're very much a horror fan. They were like, I didn't move from my couch for five and a half hours. I had to watch the second one. I'm like, oh my god. Like, is it was it really that good? And she's just like, yes, and I don't even fucking like musicals. And I'm like, well, there you go. So, but um, so it's got Jason Bateman, Cynthia Revo, those are gonna be the most recognizable names for most people, and it is insane, and you know it's gonna be a little insane because it starts toying with the idea of doppelgangers, okay, and then it's like, well, that's you know, like Cynthia Revo is like this really smart, like savant uh investigator who ends up getting called into this case because the whole thing, I literally thought when I started watching this, what drew me in was I was just like, hmm, this kind of reminds me of the black phone in a way, because in the black phone, you've got this black van that's just kind of sitting there with the creepy ass clown, right? But you see this white van and a guy walking his dog, and then you know the guy walks and you see a little bit of blood on the ground, and then the dog takes off, and this chunky middle-aged guy's chasing his dog, and then he stops, and you see this look on his face. Now, when we watch like horror television shows or thriller shows or mystery or anything like that, if you're gonna ask whatever, you know, we'll hear things have happened to kids and they don't show you shit. And you know, and that it's probably the better that way because we don't unit's an unfortunate reality that children have been adopted and and murdered and everything. Yeah, it has happened. They

The Setup: A Gruesome Murder

did not pull any punches with this, they showed what happened. This like they didn't show it like, oh, here's a bit by bit what happened, but they showed the body of this kid, and it was just like, and the minute they did that, because I was just like, you know, I'm not really into creepy shows too much. Not that I think it's creepy, but it's more kind of like thriller. There you go. I I'm not super into thriller shows, but the minute they did that, I went, oh, this is a whole different ballgame. Well, because you never see it, you know what I mean? You like you never see it, and they literally showed everything on this kid. Uh, and uh then they tell you exactly what happened to him, and it is a mortifying thought. Like one of the things that happens to the kid is that somebody bit into his skin so hard they ripped his skin off with their teeth. Okay, and I'm just like, whoa, I literally was gagging a little bit, but so then it's just like, wait, what? Because they're disclosing everything, they're not pulling any punches, and then you see Jason Bateman. And we all know and love Jason Bateman from like he's just always the happy go-lecky guy, you know what I mean? Like, he's he's in Horrible Bosses and Game Night, and he's always the guy who's just and of course identity thief, or yeah, identity thief, and he's just always the guy where it's just like I might be a little down in the dumps, but things will be okay, and I'll figure it out. Okay, so it was kind of weird because so this kid's been murdered, right? And then they showed Jason Bateman in the kitchen, and his wife's like, God, don't you think this is really odd that they're holding this game and it's only been what four or five days since this since little Frankie was killed? And he's just like, Well, he goes, That's just how it is with people. They want to forget about the bad things that happened and they want to move on. Yeah, and you know, it's just normal. So everybody fingers Jackson Biteman for the bad guy. They're like, I see him. And it's really weird because Ben Menhole Time, or whatever his name is, the Australian dude who's super cute, by the way. Um, not that you care. So he starts looking into it and he gets video footage and he's just like, that's Jason Bison characters. This is Terry Maitland, this is this guy. Like you see him dead right, but it's creepy because it's not like he's walking around like a normal person who's like oblivious to cameras being everywhere. This guy is aware of every camera, and he's looking at the cameras, and it's when he looks in the camera, he's it's it's it's really odd because it's almost like the body and the head don't match. It's almost like somebody has taped a photograph over their face. Okay, that's how it comes across visually for me. So, anyways, and then weird shit starts happening. Like he's just like, fucker, you they arrest him, he's like, I didn't do this, and then they find video footage of him in another town 60 miles away or 70

The Supernatural Elements

miles away, exact same time. Everything matches, and it's like so creepy, and then you get the payback. So they've done this arrest very public, very like in your face. In the at the end, at the end of his baseball game, the police went in front of all of his because he's a he's a baseball coach, he's a he's a he's a little league coach or whatever, yeah. Uh is one of the things he does. He's the school's coach, right? Okay, so they go and arrest him in front of the pretty much the entire town that has kids is there, yeah. And they arrest him, and it's a very public thing, so it flips back and forth a little bit, right? So this has happened, and then it shows like him being processed into prison, and that's scary because I am pr I'm like 99.99999% certain that when somebody says it out loud is exactly how it happens. So he's getting processed in line to go into prison, they're making him do the coffin squat, and this guy turns around and looks at him, he goes, Ooh, you're the kid killer, you're the child killer, you're the one who fucked that little boy, killed him. And it was like, Jason, the look on his face is just like, fuck, right? Because he doesn't say anything. He doesn't say anything except for lawyer, lawyer, lawyer, not saying shit. They go to put him in this cell with like 12 other guys that are just sitting there going, Come on, kid killer, come on, kid raper, blah blah blah blah. And he just looks at the he looks at the oh, the staff, whatever, the corrections officer. Yeah, and he goes, You can't put me in there, I'll die. And he was just like, sounds like your problem killer. And the the other guard, the other correction officer goes, We don't need another one to die right now. It's like, what? So so what do they do? They don't take him down around the way, they put him in the cell of crops from these guys are just on him. So it is super crazy, it's super intriguing because first of all you've got Jason Bateman who's doing both roles, obviously, right? And it's just like hence Jason Bateman. The worst thing he did was like punch somebody in horrible awesome, you know. I I mean, of course, he's I've got to check out his. I was recommended to check out his other show that he did. It's all complete, the whole story's complete, the Ozarks on Netflix.

Um, but I mean, I mean, I liked his sister and family ties, and I thought he was just a super cute kid because of his little freckles across his little tiny nose and underneath his cheeks. And and of course, he's married now he's married to Paul Anka's kid. So it's it's it's interesting. But it it just kind of messed with me because I'm just like, how do you look at that face? And and

then you see him in, you know, they're they're describing things, right? And then you see them, and they're playing as these witnesses are saying, This is who I saw, this is what I saw, and you're seeing his behavior, and it is I've never seen a role yet where Jason Bateman behaves that way, so disconnected from human humanity, just so like this little girl, she's like seven or eight, and she's one of the witnesses, and she's just like, I was walking through to go see my friend. Her mom's like, I was trying to give her a little independence, and they're like, Well, what did you see? She's like, I saw Coach Terry, and he had a lot of blood on him, and he and and I said, And then it rolls right into her, going, Are you okay, coach? That's a lot of blood. Yeah, a branch hit my nose, and you can hear her talking over this whole thing, and she goes, Can I have another soda? And her mom's like, No, maybe after you're finished, right? Like, just total kid interruption. And she and he's like, Well, what else? So the interviewer who's been, uh, what's his name in the show? Ralph. Ralph Anderson, Detective Ralph Anderson. And he says to this little girl, he goes, What else? And she goes, Well, the thing is, I've had a I've had a bloody nose before, too. And it's just on my lip. He had it on his face, and literally, that's how he walks out of the wood, just very stoic but nonchalant, just very robotic. And he walks out, and he's literally got blood all over his mouth, all the way down his chin, down his shirt. And he's just like, Yeah, I got hit with a branch. Oh, like so creepy. And what's really weird is they build this particular scene up with this little girl because you're just like, What the fuck? And he goes to the back of this van and opens it up and looks at her really quick, does something, gets in the van, and then he goes to pull out and he makes sure to talk to her again and look at her really good. Like he was just like, be safe. Like, it's so creepy. And every so it's my high recommend for anybody who wants something different, okay, or a little bit of thinking. I mean, and it's not creepy. Well, okay, it's creepy in the sense that you're dealing with obviously an entity, right? You know you're not dealing with an actual doppelganger because even if you have a doppelganger, you do not have the same fingerprints. But there's a there's a couple of things in there where you don't you don't quite understand it yet, which is fine. Because I did do some research today uh on this, and apparently what they're saying in the show is an actual uh like Baba Yaga, Baba Yaga, the Baba Yaga, the Boogeyman. Every culture kind of has their own one, and they were talking about this El Cuco, and I'm like, they've got to be making that up. Nope, it's a real one, and it's it's literally it's the same thing as what we would call the boogeyman or you know, uh you know, the Slavs or uh excuse me, Slavics would call uh Baba Yaga. Yeah, it's it's it's insane, but there is one scene, the only scene that actually creeped me out, and I mean like really creeped me out. Like I was so terrified I was gonna have nightmares or be visited by sleep paralysis demons that I meditated extra hard last night. Like, like me and Benjamin had a 10 or excuse me, we had a 10-minute session. Me and Bernard had a 10-minute session. Benjamin was my other one that I don't have anymore. Anyways, so this guy, he's a he he's out at the towards the like third, third episode of the show or whatever. It's like the very beginning, kind of end of the show. You see this guy and he's out hunting, and he gets a phone call. We need you to come back to work. Fuck, crap, whatever, but well, he uh he goes back to work and they're like, Hey, we need you to go check this out in this barn to deal with this case with this murdered kid. And he's like, Fine. Well, he goes and he gets pretty shit-faced at the strip bar and gets kind of in a fight. Then he goes to this barn, and he's the first thing that creeped me out is he's in this barn and he's walking through with his flashlight in front, because of course he gets there after everybody because he went to the pity bar for a while, right? And then all of a sudden he stops and he turns around, and and you can see behind him there's something behind him. Okay, and he like turns around and flashes his flashlight, and he's like, Oh crap, you can see there is something there. And then he's just like, fuck, fuck, fuck. And then he puts it up again and there's nothing, and he turns around, and all of a sudden, I'm getting goosebumps. If I had hair, you'd see it. I'm getting goosebumps. All of a sudden, he stops and he goes, I'm a police officer. They know I'm here. Tell me what you need. You know, like, like, let's get this over with kind of thing. And then he starts screaming. And you're like, What the fuck? Right. So the next time you see him, he's like not been getting sleep and he's doing weird things. Like he he goes to a Walmart and he buys like a whole truckload of shit and throws it out in the woods. He goes and he kills a deer and drags it over to the shit that he put out in the woods, and then he gets lippy. I mean, and other stuff's happening as you're going. So they're kind of doing like these little snippets at everybody. But I think you would be very intrigued by this Jack storyline, Detective Jack's storyline, because he reminds me of you in the sense where he'd be getting like really frustrated with, you said you'd leave me alone if I did all these things, fucking leave me alone, right? Like, what else do you need? So he's out in the woods and he's just like looking, and he's like, Oh, great, where's the gratitude? Because the lamp, one of the lamps that he's bought, is like knocked over in the mud. It's like, I think it's like broken or whatever. And he's just like, if you don't like the lamp, get over it. And then all of a sudden he just hits his knees, and you're just like, he's like, I'm sorry, I'll do whatever you want to make it stop. And you're like, What the fuck's he talking about? Then you see that he's got these mark phone back in the sneck, right? And it's like, man, and this guy's you just think he's nuts because there's nothing else there. So I'm giving total kudos to this actor. 100% a massive kudos to this actor. So the third big scene that you see with him, he is uh been Ralph has asked him, Hey, you want to help with this? Sure, no problem. And uh he uh so he he he goes and picks up the uh Cynthia Arrivo's character. Her name is Holly. She's a private investigator, but she's a savant. Like, like she when you first meet her, she's just like, I can tell you how tall anybody is within how how tall any building is within six feet, and she's like high accurate. Like she was listening to something, and she's just and she works her way back in time, like she can do all these crazy things, right? Just like massive photographic memory, and she don't know how she does it, anyways. So she starts talking. Okay, this is what my investigation, what I have uncovered, and everything, right? So everybody goes their separate ways, goes back to their homes, blah blah blah blah blah. Jack goes back to his apartment, and he's just like he walks in the door and he goes, Oh god, and there's an old blonde lady standing there with this smile on her face. Okay, so like the smile from the movie smile, hey, and he's just like, Oh god, why did why did he send you? She's like, Who better? And on one viewpoint, you see this old lady comes rushing at him, and I mean old, okay. I'm not talking like I'm talking silent generation old, okay? Okay, I'm not talking boomer, I'm talking old. And this little old lady, she's not that little, but anyways, kicking the shit. So you see this where she's kicking the shit out of him. She's like literally fucking kneeing him in the crotch, kicking, she kicks him in the ass, like a whole bunch, and punching him and everything. And so you see that, and you're just like, damn. And you know it's his mom. You already know it's his mom by the look on his face. You knew it was either his mom or his grandma. Had to be. Because it was definitely not his X-Fi duel. So you see that, right? And you're like, oh man, but he's a douchebag, so he kind of deserves for the way he talks to women. But I'm gonna give the actor like 100% creds because then they show you what really happened, which is there's nobody there, it's just an unseen entity, and this actor, like, they had to have a pulley system or something because he it literally looks like his ass gets kicked by an invisible force, and he throws himself all over this apartment. It's just insane. He did such a good job, and I'm like, Daddy would love this part because this guy, this guy who's just a dick to everybody, is getting the shit kicked out of him, and you'd be sitting there going, Yes, yes, yes, yes, it's so good. So it's a big recommend. I'm a little more than halfway through. It's a bit on HBO Max. Um, you know, so I mean, like, not a lot of people can watch it, but it is something I believe you can actually. I'll have to check, but you might be able to rent the whole thing from uh the library, or it might even be on Prime Video because you know, Prime and HBO, they kind of switch stuff around a lot. Yeah, like this is something that like I've never seen it available on HBO before. I just know that by reading that HBO is the parent of this project, and so this was put out during the pandemic. Uh and I think that that probably was one of the reasons why it got even though Stephen, so this is written by Stephen King. And so even though Stephen King's like, yeah, I've helped, we've got a whole second season to go, all the players are interested because of the pandemic and everything. I I think that's why it didn't get opted. And now, if they were to do it, it literally would have to be years later. Yeah, and Cynthia Revo is very, she's a very sought-after actress, even from before Wicked. She was very sought after, she's very versatile, she's done a lot of theater and everything. Good singer, actor, actress, dancer, everything. But some of the people who actually starred in the show are at this point dead in real life. Some of the older people. Um, but man, I I'll tell you, I it uh I don't get the icky ickies very often, but that scene where Jack is getting his ass kicked because obviously they do great with like CJ and stuff and taking like you know, digitizing out like pulleys or ropes or whatever, however, they flung around the room, but like the sheer terror on his face. Like, have you ever you've seen it when when I've talked about uh what am I thinking about when you see that look on my face? Oh, that one thing, that one video game. So, you know, like that look on their face, like, oh, this is so familiar. So then your heart breaks a little bit, you're kind of like, at first, you're like, Yeah, you're a douchebag, you need to get your ass kicked. And then if like when you see the look on his face and the sheer terror, you're like, Oh, I feel so bad. This is like like he was begging for he was begging the entity to make it anybody but his mother. Because his apparently his mother was like a piece of work, and it's like it's just so good in in just the way he did it to where it was just like so familiar. Like, you truly believe he's been through this situation a hundred times with his mom. Yeah. If he's been through a day. Um, so I don't yeah, I'll finish it up over the next couple days, uh next couple weeks, maybe. I don't know. I lose track of time too easy, but it's really good and it's just outside the box. I I I almost would say I would almost believe just because of the way the black phone is, the way the black phone plays out the move, the movie. I don't know if you've have you seen that one with Ethan Hawk. Well, so the black phone is actually written by Stephen King's son, Joe Hill.

Um, but I wouldn't have pegged it for him. I I would have thought, oh, maybe Joe Hill collaborated with somebody, or you know, just somebody else. Um, because it's very mild manner because it really is a thinker. But it's uh, I don't know, it's it's really good. But they didn't do a second season. HBO passed on a second season, even though Stephen King had written a whole second season and all the players they talked to were good to go. I do think it's because of the whole pandemic, um, just really shut things back. And by the time HBO was rave, maybe ready to go again with something that it's shit timing. Yeah, it's just shit timing because the big draw to begin with, the big draw to it to begin with would have been Jason Bateman. You know, but now um, you know, there's gonna be Cynthia Arriva fans who was gonna who are gonna find it, and so maybe they'll petition and then she'll come back as Holly Gibney and be really excited. But because her boyfriend is like Cynthia Arrivo is a very small person, she's very petite. I don't know if she's like 4'10, 4'11, 5'even. Okay, but like her and Ariana Grande are very small women, yeah. Um, and she's she's got nice juicy, juice, juicy, juicy booty. But yeah, she's this little little gal, and then there's this guy, this actor in the show that kind of plays her boyfriend, Andy, or he becomes her boyfriend. I don't know how to explain it. She definitely f him though, right? But you get to see how short she is because it's it's like she at the top of her head, I think, comes to about man-nip level on him. So she's really tiny. So it would be really cool to see people like petition for her to come back, for the show to come back, and see where they are, you know, six years later. But you're gonna lose, probably you're gonna lose, you know, Ben Mendelholesome, Mendelsome. Uh definitely gonna, you know, Jason Bateman's out because his character's not gonna be able to come back. Um, and then like I said, there's a couple of people who've actually died, the older, a couple of the older actors have died. So, but it would be cool to see the especially she does a Cynthia does a really good job with this Holly character. Because, you know, we've all met people who are savant. We've all met so I swear to god, we've all met a savant in our life. Probably, you know, and and not an idiot savant, but like people who are truly a savant or on the cusp of being being a savant. And just the way she plays it is perfect because you can tell she's on the spectrum because savants are. Yeah, that's what they say now.

Okay, and so you know, when you first Google it, when you first uh Wikipedia, you know, Wikipedia, everything, you know, you've got the outsider, the novel, and then it goes into the outsiders, the Ethie Hinton book, and the movie, and then you find the outsider TV show. And so I'm kind of interested just to to read the book, and I'm I'm kind of thinking maybe I'll find an ebook. I don't have I don't know who on earth has time to go to the library anymore. I don't, do you? I I don't think they're open on your days off anymore. Or I maybe I guess you could hit the one closest to us after work because they're open till like eight.

Because like the last time I went to the library, I was almost late for work. I was like, oh shit, thank god I can drop them off whenever, but picking up's a whole different thing. Um, but yeah, yeah, it's it's interesting because I sometimes I was doing some thinking, you know, like when I first got up this morning because I was gonna watch this morning. I'm like, no, no, get get do your routine, do what you need to do. Today's a you know a podcast day, right? Um, but I was uh going, man, this is like there's other TV shows that are kind of around like the entities or the supernatural. You've got supernatural, obviously, that went on for like 20 seasons or whatever, and then you've got the grim or grim, I guess it is.

And so, you know, you I kind of I kind of wonder if it at that time, because in 2020, you know, was it too dark, was it too flooded of the market because it was towards the end of Supernatural, and of course, like the COVID ended up canceling a lot of things, yeah. You know, and that's just a really sucky, sucky, sucky thing. Um, because man, I would have loved to this is one of those ones where it's like it could be like the it TV series, well it welcome to dairy. Yeah, so we already know it welcome to dairy is not gonna have the next season out until sometime next year. We already know that this basically they're they're planning on it being three seasons and it's just gonna work backwards to the beginning of Pennywise. And then the theory is by the time you get through the third season, you should be able to watch season three, then two, then one of It Welcome to Dairy, and then roll into the uh movies, and you've got Pennywise's whole story. You've got Bob Gray's whole story, Pennywise's whole story, because you can't there's one point in this outsiders, and it's so this is how I knew for sure it was definitely a Stephen King thing because they keep talking about it. It, this, it, that, it, it, it. And the one say, Why do you keep calling it it? Why do you keep saying it, it? And sh uh Holly, you know, Cynthia Riva goes, because she goes, we can keep tracing it back, but that's not what's gonna work because it's not about tracing it back. We know it's been here forever, and where it came from, we don't know, somewhere out in the cosmos. And I'm like, oh, nice nod to it, right? Because that's exactly where it came from. Um, she's like, what we need to do is work forward so we know how to stop this. So you got some people who are mad because she has no way of vindicating the people who've been accused of these murders, yeah, falsely. And then you've got some people that are mad because it's like, how do you not already know how to stop the Baba Yaga? You know, so it's it's it's interesting. It's it's interesting. But uh, even though it it's not it's not really gory like it, welcome to dairy. Okay. Because I know that you did not enjoy seeing that.

Fucking Jerry Brockheimer is gonna fucking be doing I was like that was exciting. One of the reasons is what you're we're talking about reminds me of that, is because in that setting there are doppelgangers and they're basically exact copies of individual people.

And so it's one of the things that the night lords use to infiltrate and take over like the US government. They have shapeshifters, but then they also have actual doppelgangers of actual pod people that were like everything matched from the people they became. They're exact copies, they have all your knowledge and all your skills, it's just that they're from a different reality. They're out to do either. So sometimes, yes, they're not they're like regular humans, effectively, although they're supernatural creatures, sort of. Um they're like tougher than a normal human, but other than that, they're basically an identical copy of you. Um and so some of them fall under the sway of the Night Lords, but some of them don't. So not there it's not guaranteed just because there's a doppelganger of you that they're an evil version of you. Right. Um sometimes

Yeah. I mean, it is really interesting because you you say doppelganger, which I want to do a little bit of research on that because in the show they talk about there is a basically the Germans uh doppelganger means double life or something like that, or something. I don't remember what she said last night. But I was just like, I pondered it and I was just like, the way she described it is it's somebody who's an exact replica of you. But I've always heard their exact physical replica of you, but they'd have different fingerprints and usually different blood types and DNA. But apparently, there's something in German mythology where it's an exact replica of you. There's two of everybody on this planet, we're not as a big of a planet as we see, and it's basically you at two different spectrums of life. Yeah. So, you know, there's there's an urgent me going, I need to look up Doppelganger. But I've just been so so busy lately. Um, you know, like I said before, starting to work a little bit more. It's not by my choice, it's just what needs to happen for the shop. Um, so you know, I'm not super excited by it. I mean, I'm not gonna complain about more money, uh, you know, but at the same time, it's just like that's one of the points of why I took the job that I did and said, hey, this is how much I want to work, except for on rare occasions, but now it's being forced upon me. Yeah, and and I get why I totally do, but there's a reason why I only wanted to work X amount of hours a week, and it's just for my better mental health. Yeah, because on the I can tell you right now, on the weeks where I've had to work 36, 38, 40 hours a week, my mental health is drained. I have no more dieses. That is, I'm telling you, I have, and it's so weird because now I have regulars. And it and it's odd to me to have regulars again, yeah. You know, that I know by name and I know their health situation, and it's like in a very short amount of time. I had somebody come in on uh Saturday. I had to think because I'm like, she came in and she was like, How are you? Thank you so much for the other day. Because she she was in like two weeks ago, she was really sick, went to the hospital, and they were like, We think you're in congestive heart failure. And she was really upset. She got her only granddaughter, and they were spending time together. And I said, And I said, I will say a prayer for you. I said, But don't, don't, it's not gonna be that bad. I said, just trust me, it's gonna be okay. It's always gonna be what it's supposed to be. Here we are two weeks later, she came in, she's back to work, she's back to normal. They put her on meds just to help keep her blood pressure down, but she had a pinched nerve in her neck, so she had to get an adjustment for that too. There it was like, how often do you hear mainstream medicine say, you need to see a chiropractor, you've got a pinch nerve. Yeah, like she got a cortisone shot in her shoulder, she went and saw a chiropractor, and life is good. They've got her on medication for her, but the thing is, so she's telling me on Saturday, she goes, I've been talking to a guy online and I'm so nervous. I'm going on my first date in like four years tonight. And I said, Good, you'll have fun. She's like, I'm so nervous, I'm so curious. And I'm listening to her talk, and I said, Listen, I said, let me tell you something. You tell this person, I said, I said, listen to me really clearly, and I want you to say this to him. Because she's like, Yeah, he's reassuring me nothing's gonna happen that I don't want to happen, and everything's fine, and we're meeting, so you know I'm safety and da-da-da. I said, Listen to me. I said, You let him know from the get-go that you're acquaintance, Jen, that you see every once in a while who prays for you. I said, You say this to him. Say, hi, my name is Redacted, and my friend Jen says, I'm a little bit sassy, but I'm very much classy. My pace, my rules. Just tell him. And it and it's so funny because she was just like, That's a brilliant way. I was like, look, there's nothing wrong with being classy and sassy. It it lets them know that I will decide if I'm going to be that way. I said, but you're I said, you don't think I don't know. She's like, this is why I love it. It's interesting. It's just, it's very interesting to me. It's a weird dynamic to have regulars again. I've got I've got a gal who comes in that I met when I was doing moving and storage. Her first day and my last big day is where we met, and she remembers me all this time later. And she's just the cutest, sweetest little thing ever. Like I pulled into work on Wednesday, and I see her head bowed, walking out of the building because her her uh boyfriend was in the military and he just got to move, and he didn't ask her to go with him. He didn't even ask her to marry. So it was a big, big thing for her. Um, and I looked at her, I looked at her and I didn't know if she heard me or not. And I'm like, really? You think you're gonna get away without saying hi to me as I'm coming in, you're leaving me? You ain't never seen somebody run across that parking lot so fast. So it's it's a weird, it's a weird dynamic. I do want to research the oppelganger because there's just so much going on. Um, and I'm like, I'm German descent, obviously, right? I have the big German square head, which I love my square
