About Dr. Becky Lutte
Dr. Becky Lutte is Chair of the Department of Aeronautics and an Associate Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) College of Aviation Worldwide and a member of the leadership team of the ERAU Boeing Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety. Her research includes safety policy, sustainability, and aviation workforce development including the outreach, recruitment, and retention of women and underrepresented groups in aviation. She has over 25 publications in a variety of academic journals, magazines, and book submissions.
Dr Lutte was appointed by the former Secretary of the DOT to the FAA Women in Aviation Advisory Board which developed recommendations and strategies to the FAA and Congress to encourage women to pursue careers in aviation. She has testified before the House and Senate on topics related to aviation workforce and women in aviation.
Dr. Lutte has given numerous presentations and interviews including being cited by Forbes, CNN, NPR, Aviation Week & Space Technology, General Aviation News, and Aviation for Women Magazine.
