Day 25: An interesting one in every way.
Horse Progress:
– The horse with a tight lumbosacral showed a 50-60% improvement the moment we changed the saddle. Now I'll work on releasing long-held compensatory patterns in the body.
– The other horse showed the brewing signs of an abscess, my gut told me to stop, and the pain response confirmed it. Trusting that instinct likely prevented more damage and discomfort for the horse.
Sessions In & Out:
Both follow-up sessions today involved difficult cases, but both horses showed real progress, physically and mentally. That felt like a win.
Personal Victory:
After a serious concussion six months ago, I misplaced a $3K saddle. I searched high and low, thought I might have sold it - but my gut feeling said no!
Then, today, there it was at the saddler's, waiting for me. Had I not trusted my gut, I may never have found it!
