The Shaolin of the scissors is a project created by Michalis Alexandrakis, a professional hairdresser who works and lives in Athens. His mission is to make people happier through his work. This Podcast serries relates to the relationship between the hairdresser and his clients.

I'm Mimi Palomino-Gamba and l am a digital media specialist who has worked for various archaeological institutes. I was born in Colombia, South America and grew up in the United States. After graduation from the University of Kansas I moved to Athens to work for the American School of Classical Studies.
After being recommended by a work colleague I began going to Michalis Alexandrakis. There, we bonded over our admiration for vintage styles and fashion.
Michalis has been instrumental in my hair journey as I've been experimenting with hairstyles inspired by the 60s/70s. Not only does my hair look amazing but we have thoughtful and interesting conversations together. I always look forward to my time sitting in his chair.
