Welcome to the Everfree Prayer Prompt.
You can find more information at www.everfreeprayer.org.
The purpose of this prayer prompt is to help you engage in prayer with our Heavenly Father.
Find some time, a quiet place, and the opportunity to hear from Him.
Take your time, and you can use these prayer prompts repeatedly over time.
Today's prayer prompt is on generosity.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we come before You today to seek Your face, Your presence, and Your voice.
We acknowledge, God, that we may not hear Your audible voice, but Your word, Your impressions, images, memories, songs.
Move creatively in us and through us.
We praise You.
We worship Your Holy Name.
We acknowledge You as Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit.
Father, let me lay down whatever is on my mind, my concerns, my work, my family, my obligations.
Because today, Lord, I want to come before You and seek Your wisdom and Your guidance for my generosity.
Lord, I acknowledge that everything is Yours.
I can do nothing without You.
I have nothing without Your grace.
And You've called me to steward my time, my talents, and my resources.
Father, I acknowledge that You've made each of us differently, and You've called each of us differently to partner and to empower ministries, individuals, and organizations.
Father, I want to use my resources wisely and freely.
God, I acknowledge that freely I have received and freely I want to give.
So, Holy Spirit, would You lead me?
Clear my mind of my expectations of the past.
Renew within me a right spirit within Your presence.
Lord, is there anything in me keeping me from being generous?
Holy Spirit, move in me and through me and reveal to me
what's keeping me from being generous.
Holy Spirit, what emotion do I feel when I hesitate to be generous?
Holy Spirit, where does this emotion come from?
What belief, memory, or teaching come to mind?
Jesus, we acknowledge that we don't always see things as they really are.
And we acknowledge that we don't remember things as they really were.
But Jesus, You are the revealer of all truth.
So, Jesus, what truth do You want to bring to this emotion and this hesitation towards generosity?
So,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, would You cleanse me anew?
I acknowledge that the blood of Jesus covers me, renews me, empowers me, and releases me.
Lord, I want to step forward in boldness to trust You with all of my resources.
I lay them down before You again today.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I repent of any hesitation, any holding back, or for any ways that I've heard You call me to give of my time, of my talent, and of my finances.
I lay it down before You and say, yes.
Yes, Lord, I want to follow You.
I want to trust You with my time.
I want to trust You with my talents.
I want to trust You with my resources.
Help me release.
Lord, as I actively give You everything once again, where are You calling me to give?
Let various things come to mind, Your church, missionaries, missions, organizations, local charities, national charities, international charities.
Holy Spirit, bring the various places to mind that we've given in the past.
Jesus, what joy do You find in these various places of giving?
Jesus, we acknowledge that there is a time and a place and a season for everything.
For the seasons of the past, we let them go.
We step into our present.
So Jesus, what organizations, people, or ministries do You want to bring to mind to me today?
Jesus, where have You burdened my heart to partner?
Jesus, how much have You called me to give?
Jesus, I acknowledge that I often feel double-minded.
I feel like I hear You clearly and then instantly doubt.
Lord, restore my mind today that I might be fully present with You, that I can ask, as James says, and not doubt that I can believe.
So Jesus, I ask again, how much have You called me to give?
Jesus, take a moment and write down what You've just heard.
Jesus, as I come before You now, where have You called me to give?
My local church?
A missionary?
A charity?
A charity?
A charity?
Holy Spirit, how have You made me to partner?
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I give this number to You.
I give this person or organization to You.
So lead me, guide me.
As I consider my generosity, as I consider my partnership of my time, of my talents, and of my resources, Lord, I commit them to You.
And I commit to You today to give the amount that I've heard
to the person or the organization that You've revealed.
Lord, thank You.
You know the desires of my heart.
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
And as I declare that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I acknowledge that the way You've made me is unique.
The things You've called me to do is unique.
The places You've called me to go is unique.
And the places You've called me to give are unique.
Holy Spirit, lead me and guide me and may all of my time and my talent and my resource be Yours.
Thank You for being with me.
Lead me, guide me, and empower me to move forward in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Amen.
