Authority in Christ | Ep 8

In this episode, Keith and Megan Peeler discuss the authority Christians have in the name of Jesus. Understanding your identity in Christ allows you to pray with power and authority in ways that are truly transformational.

I am Keith Peeler and I'm here with my amazing wife Megan Peeler.

And babe, we have a passion for prayer and prayer that sets people free, don't we? 

We sure do.

And the purpose of the Everfree Podcast is to share stories, biblical principles, concepts, and tools that are going to help you find freedom in a relationship with Christ that is naturally supernatural.

Welcome to episode number eight.

What are we talking about today, babe? 

We're going to be talking all about spiritual authority and why it matters.

Okay, friends, so we're going to start in prayer today.

So Father, we just say thank you, that we are your sons, that we are your daughters, that we are filled with your spirit.

And so come Holy Spirit, and as we pray, as we listen, as we speak today, would you lead us and would you allow Father everything that is of you to just resonate deeply within us? Father, anything that's of Megan or me, would it just fall away and that this time together and listening and speaking and talking and praying would honor you and glorify you, that your name would be lifted high.

We pray this in Jesus' name.

Amen.

Amen.

Man, that's a good way to start.

So in authority, we talk about this a lot, right? And we also talk about how in the beginning of our spiritual journeys, that authority wasn't a concept that we even thought about.

It was a core concept, however, in the readings that I did first and then you followed when we did the training with Dr.Kraft.

We've mentioned before he's been our mentor and how he has shaped us and given us a foundation.

And from that foundation, we've searched the Scriptures and searched our experiences to kind of really lay out how we do what we do.

And the purpose of Everfree has been to grow people and to grow disciples, right? And to multiply people to take spiritual authority, to take their understanding of the Scriptures, understanding the power of the Holy Spirit, and to multiply that in their individual lives, in the lives of their church, their small groups, their businesses, their homes, and everywhere, that people would walk in fullness and freedom.

And in that, when I first went to that training and one of the books that I read was, I Give You Authority by Dr.Charles Kraft.

I'll put that in a link here on the podcast page of the website.

And in that book, it really started to challenge the way I thought about what is spiritual authority.

And we've talked and you talked about how growing up, was the idea of authority something you were thinking about in your faith walk growing up? 

Well, the authority that I experienced was, I mean, my parents had authority over me, submitting to that.

My pastors had authority over me and my church growing up.

But my personal identity of having authority, like as an individual, just did not resonate with me at all.

Do you think that's family related, church related, personality related, or just kind of the way you saw scriptural things played out for you? 

I think I just, I missed that detail.

I mean, looking back now at scripture, I can see very clearly where the Lord gives us unbelievable authority in His name.

And so I am starting to understand that.

But back then, I think it was just, I honor and I respect those in leadership.

And so that's where I acknowledged the authority coming from.

And so if I needed some help with anything, I would go to the authority.

Sure.

Yeah.

And I mean, scripture is clear about that.

Yeah.

Like James, is any of you sick? 

Call the elders of the church to pray and the prayer of a righteous man or woman is powerful and effective.

Right? 

So that biblical authority is accurate.

Right.

But I also agree.

I think I missed the part where I had a place in that as well.

So one of our favorite Psalms about this is Psalm 8.

And Psalm 8 says this, I want to read this whole Psalm too, because it's really, really powerful.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name and all the earth.

You have set your glory into heavens.

Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies to silence the foe and the avenger.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them? 

Human beings that you care for them.

You have made them a little lower than God Elohim and crown them with glory and honor.

You made them rulers over the works of your hands.

And you put under their feet, all of the flocks of the herds and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the sea.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name and all the earth.

Now this Psalm references Genesis 1 and how God gave dominion to man, humankind, over the earth.

Now here's what's interesting about Psalm 8.

It's particularly verse 5.

At the very end of that verses, you have made them a little lower than, some translations will say angels.

But when you look at the original language, it's Elohim.

Or one translation says heavenly beings, right? 

So God created heavens and earth in Genesis, but in Genesis we can read the fullness of the Trinity.

The Father, Son, the Holy Spirit were already in Genesis.

Let us, the scriptures let us make them in our image.

There's a plurality there and there's an understanding of Trinity even in Genesis before Jesus is on paper in you know the canons, holy scriptures later on.

So some say that some commentators are uncomfortable with the power dynamic of human beings, man, humankind, being a little lower than God.

So they say he's a little below the angels.

So if you're out there, I would check it out.

Go get on Bible Gateway online or something like that and pull up Psalm 8.5 and just go through the different translations.

See how they do it.

And then you can also maybe find commentaries that speak to that.

But this picture, right, that humans are made a little lower than God.

I tell this story a lot.

Like my idea from a kind of a Westerners mind, I'm a Westerner, right, born in the United States.

So my Western mindset had this picture that I'm, you know, here's the earth down here, right? And little Keith is standing on the earth.

There he is.

And then, you know, and then way up in the sky is God, right? 

He's in the heavens.

We raise our hand.

I mean, God is everywhere, but for some reason our Western brain like puts it all up in the sky.

And then after that, I saw like the angels and the demons were like in between all of that.

So in my mind, I had to kind of pray through the atmosphere in order to get to God.

That was my position in my mind.

I'm sorry, but it really wasn't a powerful position.

I mean, No.

It was I'm under all of what's going on in the air.

Yes, and specifically the enemy.

Like I had to fight through the enemy and his power or its power in order to get to God.

And Psalm 8 is not the only one that you know, shatters this.

I mean, Jesus came and, you know, all authority in heaven on earth was given to Christ.

And then Christ looks at his disciples and the Word says to us that you are no longer slaves, but your sons and daughters.

Not only are your sons and daughters, you're co-heirs.

Jesus says, I'm a co-heir.

I am a co-heir.

It's so empowering to hear it.

Does a co-heir get a lesser portion? 

No.

Does a co-heir have anything other than the fullness of what the other air has? 

Everything.

You get everything.

So Christ who sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty and that kind of power, and there's power in his name, says to you and I, listener, says to you that if you are in Christ Jesus, that you sit at the right hand of God the Father as a co-heir alongside Christ.

And this matters so much.

Absolutely it does.

Because if we don't know our position, then we won't know how to enter into the spiritual battle that we've been faced with every day.

We don't know how to pray.

Right.

So if I am a slave, I pray like I say, I beg God, dear God, please, please, please, please, please.

Maybe he'll answer.

My posture is, well, if I'm good, and this is bad theology, if I'm good enough, maybe God will answer my prayers.

Right.

And this isn't a conversation about sanctification and salvation of Christ.

And once they've always saved that kind of conversation.

But the idea is this.

If you are in Christ Jesus, you are a child of God.

And as a child of God, you are a co-heir.

And through the power of the Holy Spirit, you are filled to the fullness and have the same power of the Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us.

So when we're talking about this, we're not just talking about authority, we're also talking about identity.

All the things you just said, I mean, we have to know who Jesus says we are in order to step into the authority that He gives us.

Because left to me, I'm going to think about who I think I am.

Sometimes I don't think very great in myself.

No, every one of us has.

We'll pretty beat down.

Well, we have insecurities, we have failure moments as parents, we have success moments as parents.

And so this is the part where Scripture speaks to us to take on the mind of Christ, to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

To be renewed in your mind means that you're taking on what Scripture teaches you about you, not what your dad says about you, or your brother, or your daughter, or your cousin, or your teacher, or your boss, or anyone in authority in your life.

When they speak that over you, you can take that on.

But if you don't challenge that against Scripture, you will think improperly of yourself.

So dealing with authority is exactly that.

It is understanding our identity in Christ and knowing that we have been given this authority.

It's very important.

Now, there was a time when you were praying for a dear friend.

Would you share that story? 

Because I think it's a really good kind of picture of like an experience you had that would help our listeners understand what we're talking about.

Yeah, so in the beginning of our prayer ministry together, Keith and I would do these prayer sessions with people, and we would have each other.

But I went to a speech therapy conference, and my girlfriend was going through some very trying situation with pregnancy.

And she just had a miscarriage, and she was just going through a lot of pain from that loss.

And all week long, I was wanting to pray with her.

She's heard my story.

She's heard our experiences.

And I was just waiting for the right timing.

But truth be told, I felt anxious and nervous because you weren't there with me.

I'm like, I really would like to do this with someone else.

But there was just such an urgency.

So then the last day she walks in, and there's a pregnancy test, and it's positive.

She's pregnant.

And I wanted to scream with excitement, and she was bawling because she was scared.

She was scared that her body was incapable of carrying a baby to term.

And I said, I'm going to call her Susie.

I said, Susie, before I leave to go back home, can I just sit and pray with you? And she was open to it.

So I sat and I prayed with her, and her husband was there holding her hand.

And their denomination was Lutheran.

And so I know that she was open to the stories that I shared, but she didn't really have a clear understanding of spiritual warfare until we entered into prayer.

And as we entered into prayer, I was praying over a spirit of death that was trying to attack her womb.

And as I did, she felt nauseous.

She thought, I mean, she almost started convulsing, and I was scared to death.

So the enemy was putting intimidation and fear in me to say, you can't do this.

Yeah.

You don't know what you're doing.

And I was like, oh no, what do I do? 

I don't want her to throw up and feel awful.

So then I realized, and I remember, take authority in Jesus' name.

And so I did.

I said, I take authority in Jesus' name of anything that's trying to torment my friend, and it has to stop now.

And like a light switch, it stopped.

And she had a release and a feeling of something leaving her that was evil.

That's right.

Yeah, I forgot that.

And we take it and we put it in a jail cell, and we lock it under lock and key.

And then she says, in the name of Jesus, any spirit of death that was attached to my womb has to go to a coffin.

And I said, okay, Susie, what happened to the coffin? 

And she said, it was destroyed with dynamite.

Like there was this explosion.

And so then I leave and I get in the car and I go home and she calls me about 10 minutes later and she was freaking out because when she went back inside, she smelled fire.

So there's a tangible manifestation? 

Yes.

Of the Holy Spirit showing her it is complete.

And also some other things that happened in that prayer session were that she had a vision of her miscarried baby and that that baby was alive and well in Jesus' arms.

And she also saw the son that was going to be birthed out of her womb.

She had a boy.

Okay, I thought I remembered that.

So not only did she get to experience the power of God through this explosion that happened, and she was like searching outlets to find the fire because she smelled fire.

And her husband, who reminded her, well, didn't the...

Jesus burned it up with dynamite? 

It was a dynamite and she was like, I guess that's what this is.

So later she went and told her church, her pastor, and then we ended up...

They were very open.

They were so open that we went and did a training for them and people in their church.

Yeah, I think and what that reminds me of is that practically speaking, sometimes inner healing prayer or deliverance prayer maybe is not practiced with regularity, but that traditional church is Lutheran, I mean, wherever they're coming from.

It doesn't matter.

But the theology is there.

The understanding biblically is there, but sometimes the practical application of how to pray.

And so I want to go highlight when Megan's talking about putting this...

It's a visual experience that we're talking about.

So when she was praying for this friend, Susie, we call her, she had authority.

Megan had authority, so did Susie.

Susie and Megan are both believers in Jesus.

Therefore, they're filled with the Spirit.

Therefore, Jesus says that they are co-heirs with Christ and that we can pray and do what Jesus did.

Jesus cast out demons.

So in that prayer time, this death or whatever was manifesting against Susie, either Susie or Megan or a combination of the both of them said, all right, we're going to do this visual experience where you say, all right, death, you get out of Susie and get in a jail cell.

And when we say death, get out of Susie, we're saying she's being tormented or persecuted by the enemy.

We're not saying that she's possessed.

We're just saying that she is experiencing the physical manifestation of evil.

Yeah.

And it's also acknowledging the fact that the enemy uses human emotion as like names, right? So the spirit of death, the spirit of fear, spirit of anxiousness, it is all of the things that are opposite of the gifts of the Spirit, right? 

These are things that are opposite to what God has for us.

And so the enemy can manifest as these emotions and that's kind of the open door or the release that they're getting.

You know, it reminds me also to in the beginning of a time when I was praying, well leading the prayer, you were with me, and a young woman that we were praying with had some very dark history, specifically around sexuality issues.

And we're praying and all of a sudden we felt this crazy presence in the room.

And I heard, not audibly, but I had this sense that this demon cussed me, said, you blanked up now, Peeler, this is out of your league.

You don't know what you're doing.

You've opened a door, you can't close, you better shut this thing down, something like that.

And I was like, uh-oh.

And my first reaction was that same intimidation and fear.

And like you, I went, wait a minute, what did my training teach me? 

Wait a minute, they're underneath, they don't have as much power as I do because Jesus has more power than the enemy.

So I said, all right, Holy Spirit, what do I do now? 

What do I need to pray? 

And the Holy Spirit, I just felt led to pray, all right, in the name of Jesus, I command you to reveal your actual size right now.

And it felt like the room deflated and the woman we were praying with goes, whoa, did you guys feel that? 

And God was just trying to draw it out.

I said, feel what? 

She goes, it felt like the presence was, I mean, like there was like this evil presence in the room.

And as soon as you prayed that, it felt like, oh, peace just came over the whole room.

And I was like, yeah, I did feel that.

I did sense that.

So that's really cool.

And there's scripture too that goes with this, right? 

1 John 4, babe, would you read 1 John 4 for us? 

We were talking about testing the spirits and it says, beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

By this, you know the spirit of God.

Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.

And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.

This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

They are from the world.

Therefore they speak from the world and the world listens to them.

We are from God.

Whoever knows God listens to us.

Whoever is not from God does not listen to us.

By this, we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Yeah, so this whole part of this, two things to pay attention to.

One, that there are false teachers.

In fact, frankly, some will say that the gifts of the spirit and the fact that the spirit is alive today, there are, we've talked about this word before, cessationists and continuationists within theology.

A cessationist does not believe that the Holy Spirit moves today in the same way that miracles today do not occur, that speaking in tongues or things like this, the gifts of the spirit are not alive and active today.

Continuationists would believe that they are.

Some cessationists will say that continuationists are false teachers, false prophets.

So just be aware of that, right? 

Like what we're here to do is to expose the truth that we found in the scriptures and in the practical applications of healing and deliverance ministry.

But you have to understand that as you're listening, that this is part of the argument about whether this is even okay or not by some theologies.

And we're also wanting to share our experiences and what we have seen that happens in prayer sessions that we sit with people.

And we actually see things like this go on.

So we can't deny our experiences.

Right.

And so the part of that verse in 1 John 4 says that greater is He that is in you than He that's in the world.

So the Holy Spirit's work in you is greater than He that's in the world.

Well, what's the He that's in the world? 

It's the demons.

Yeah, the enemy.

Right.

So we can even look back at Job, right? 

And Job, the pictures of authority are all over Job.

And that's a story of God's faithfulness, that even though Job was tested, there were limitations to the test, that God had ultimate authority over what could happen to Job.

The enemy had to ask for permission and had to have, there were ground rules.

So it's difficult sometimes to understand that until you get to the end of Job, when you see that Job ignored his friends, he ignored the lies of the enemy, and he stayed faithful.

He lost everything, but in the end, he was restored more than what he had before.

And we don't want to go through pain.

We don't want to go through loss.

We don't want to go through persecution, but Paul had it, Jesus had it, Job had it.

I mean, there are biblical characters that if you are obedient, there are times in your life that you will pay for it.

And we always say God will use that persecution for our good.

Absolutely.

And the enemy has no real control.

We operate from a position of victory.

We have already won.

That's true.

We have already won.

So part of this idea of authority is, one of the ways we talk about it is in two, well, it's two different ways really.

We talk about positional authority and relational authority.

Okay, so imagine this with me, right? 

So in your world, you have positional authority in your life and people that have positional authority in your life.

And then you have relational authority.

My recent example, I had a little incident, if you will.

Sometimes I don't realize how fast my car is going.

Or the speed limit.

Or the speed limit.

And I had a little situation where my car was going a little faster than was legally allowed.

So I got a ticket, right? 

So this just reminded me.

So when I was going to ask, if I could get it reduced or if I could do driver's ed to keep it off my record.

So I had to go before the judge.

Now, I live currently in the state of Montana.

And just like every other state in the United States where we are from, there is a judge that's appointed over the area.

Now that judge has a position of authority in my life.

So I had to submit to him, I went to his courtroom, and I had to submit to his rules and his jurisdiction and all that.

And I confessed my sin, right? 

I laid it before him and I asked for help.

And he judged fairly.

He said, all right, well, this time is your first time.

I know you're new.

Here's your fee.

Pay your fee and it won't go on your record.

I said, thank you, judge.

So he had a position in my life.

He's the judge and I have to obey the laws of the land.

And his job is to oversee those laws.

Now, if while I was at in his chambers, he said, now let me tell you how to take care of your children and take care of your family.

Let me tell you how to be a good husband.

I might go, thank you, judge, but no, thank you.

That's outside of your jurisdiction.

How I treat my family, that's up to me.

Okay.

Now, here's a picture of relational authority.

I had a phone call last night with a mentor of mine.

He's a prayer mentor of mine.

And he and I know each other.

He has opened his heart to me and his life to me.

And so I called him.

And when he speaks, I listen, because we have relational, he has relational authority.

I have a relationship with him.

And I want to hear what he says to me about how to make decisions, about how to pray for my family, about what advice, those kinds of things.

So when we're talking about praying or we're talking about, as you're at home listening, where do you have authority? 

Well, you have authority in your home at a varying level of degrees.

So in our home, we understand biblically that I am the head of this household.

Now, Megan and I have equal parts in marriage.

We don't have a patriarchal situation talking about, like, I'm not talking about something that's like, you know, don't go political crazy here as you're listening.

But the biblical authority is at the end of the day, Megan and I decided, together we decided this, the beginning of our marriage, that at the end of the day, if we were undecided or unclear about a decision, that the buck had to stop somewhere.

And in our family, biblically, the buck stops with me.

So I can pray with authority over my family.

My wife has authority over our family, and we have mutual submission in our marriage.

So my wife has authority to pray over me.

I have authority to pray over her.

We have authority to pray over our property.

We have authority to pray over hotel rooms or rental cars, anything that's been given to us to have, you know, for a certain time or measure, authority over something.

And you also have authority over your office space.

If you work in a place where you have a signed contract with that company, then you have authority over the people you interact with.

And I don't mean lording authority over them.

I just mean more like, I take authority over this next conversation I'm going to have with this person, and I just bless them.

And I pray, Lord, that you would, you know, be a part of this conversation.

And it's about not us having our way, but it's about the Lord having His way in our place.

So let me give you an example.

When I pray for authority over my home, here's how I pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare that 5655 Cottonwood is my property.

I own it, and I have authority to pray.

And so in the name of Jesus, if there's any dark force here, any work of the devil, I command it to flee right now in Jesus name, Holy Spirit, would you send your angels to protect my property to the north to the south to the east into the west? 

Would you put a dome over my property that would forbid the enemy from seeing, knowing, hearing or understanding anything that's going on in my home? 

This is a place of worship.

I declare that it's a place of forgiveness, a house of prayer and community and peace.

So Father, protect my children, protect my wife, and do not allow any part of any dark force or enemy or dark angel to come into my property to mess with us.

It's my property, and I have authority to pray this way.

Amen.

Right? 

That's the prayer.

Now, listener, if I'm coming to your house and you asked me to pray, I'm going to pray like this.

Father, would you bless this home? 

Would you enter it and fill it with your spirit and your presence and allow all of the goodness of your works and your faithfulness and Father, the righteousness that you have bestowed upon this family? 

Would you just encourage them and strengthen them and bless them in Jesus name? 

Unless the owner of that house gives me specific permission, I'm not going to cast anything out.

I'm not going to do work.

I'm going to just bless them.

And here's how it relates in the human realm as well.

Like, okay, let's just say you invite me over for dinner, right? And, or actually, let's call it a dinner party.

And somebody shows up to your dinner party, and I'm thinking, ooh, that's not a good guy.

He needs to go.

If I go over to that person and uninvite them to the party, but I'm not the host, won't the host be mad at me? 

Peeler.

That's my guest.

Now, if I tell the host, hey, host, listen, you may not know this about this guy.

He's really bad news.

I don't think it's safe.

I don't think it's good for him to be here.

Then he has the choice to uninvite that person or not.

That relates to spiritual authority we have in prayer sessions, right? 

So would you, would you share, like when we're praying with somebody at the beginning of that time, how we explain authority in a prayer session? 

We explain when we ask you, do you give us permission or do you give us authority to pray with you, that we are exercising the same authority that the power of the Holy Spirit gives us is in the person we're praying for? 

It's equal.

It's equal, but we're acknowledging it out loud so that the Spirit around the enemy understands that we're in agreement.

That's right.

And then we're also reassuring the person that we're praying for that we're going to hold an umbrella over them, and we're going to cover them with protection, and we're going to stand in agreement, and we're gathering together to listen together.

We're not lording authority over that person, or we're just, we're commanding the enemy to listen up.

We're taking authority and we're speaking in Jesus's name, which is power.

Yeah.

And some people argue, can demons read your mind? 

Do they have to, we don't know, we don't care particularly.

I don't really care what demons do.

I care what Jesus says, and we want to honor that in prayer, but we do acknowledge that the enemy can hear us.

So when we speak it out loud, we're doing that with intention.

In the name of Jesus, Spirit Realm, you understand that we've been given authority to pray over Susie, and the enemy has to obey because they are lower than us on the food chain.

Now we have another example of authority, right? 

About the idea of a president.

Would you explain the idea of presidential authority? 

So an example of this would be the president, if he wakes up and he's having a really horrible morning on the wrong side of the bed, just not ready to be a president.

It doesn't matter which president we're talking about.

It doesn't matter.

It's not a political statement.

No, but he just doesn't feel great.

He doesn't feel like he has authority, doesn't feel like he wants to play the role of president.

Well, it's not going to change the fact that he's still president.

That's right.

And the fact that he still has authority.

Yeah.

And so the point is, is that it doesn't matter how we feel.

It doesn't matter if we feel like less than the truth of the scripture still says that greater is he that's end me than he that's in the world.

And so I take that authority in Jesus name.

Yeah.

And I love that example because here we are.

We are prayer warriors.

This is our calling.

It's our livelihood.

The ministry we're called to is prayer, and it's prayer based on authority.

But there are some days I wake up and I'm not feeling it.

But just because I'm not feeling it, doesn't mean that I don't have that authority.

Just like that presidential example, there's one more example in scripture that we often use, and that's the idea of the Roman centurion, Matthew five.

And in this verse, right, the centurion hears that Jesus is coming to town and he's got a servant that's dying or is dead and says to his Jewish leader friends, hey, would you ask Jesus to pray for my servant? And Jesus gets word and starts coming to visit the Roman centurion.

Roman centurion says, I'm not fit to carry this man's sandals, but I'm a man of authority.

When I tell my slave to go, he goes.

When I tell him to stay, he stays.

If Jesus gives his word, my servant will be healed.

So here's this military man who understands the idea of authority from a military standpoint.

And when he gives the word, those that are lower than him on the food chain, so to speak, they just simply do it.

That's military.

If you don't do what your hair up say, you're done, right? Jesus's response is greater faith have I not seen.

His servant will be made well.

So here's a very clear picture that Jesus has authority over healing.

We see in other parts of scripture, Jesus has authority over casting out demons and Jesus has authority over all things.

All authority in heaven and earth was given to Jesus.

This is a clear picture of that authority.

And what Jesus is asking of us is that we go forth in his name, not our own name, but in his name.

And scripture says that we will go on to do greater things than he did.

Well, what did he do? 

He raised the dead.

He healed the sick and he cast out demons.

So as a part of our understanding of our theology and the way we see Jesus showing up in scriptures, Old Testament, New Testament, authority is everywhere.

Power and authority is everywhere.

And when we are obedient and when we're doing what the Father is asking us to do, we can command things in the name of Jesus and they will happen.

So particularly in the inner healing environment, as Megan described in that earlier example, you know, she had authority and she had both relational authority because she knew this woman very well, but she had positional authority because in that realm, they knew that they were on an equal playing field, that we are the priesthood of all believers.

So they had equal authority to pray on behalf of one another.

And because of that, even though the enemy tried to intimidate, that's all they do.

They just try to intimidate.

But when we stand firm in our authority, we can tell them to shut up, to get out and say, Jesus, what do you want to do with these guys? 

And in that particular example, dynamite, you know, dynamite, we, you know, Jesus is creative, but he always shows every time we're in a prayer session, Jesus shows up and reveals to whoever we're praying with and praying for some kind of metaphor, some kind of imagery, some kind of thought, a scripture verse, a song, something that helps them understand that.

Which would make sense with how he writes the scriptures of so many parables.

You know, he creates pictures and images and told stories, yeah, he told tons of stories.

So I think it's neat how he does that even today in our prayer sessions.

And we get to see him doing that.

And it's so unique for every person.

It's really fun.

The uniqueness is, you know, God is a creator God.

And he's very unique that way.
