If you're listening, that means you're a subscriber and we appreciate your support. spring has sprung, not so much in Vermont, but we hear it's happening in other parts of the country. So in honor of that changing of the seasons, we have a spring trivia quiz for you. Hope you enjoy it. Question one. What is the name of the Persian New Year, which comes from Ancient Zero Astrom and occurs around the first day of spring? Question two, what is the Sunday before Easter called? Question three. What country is known for? Its spectacular cherry blossom season signifying the arrival of spring. Question four. Who proposed the idea of daylight saving time? Question five. Name the Greek goddess of spring. Question six. Name the spiced bread traditionally eaten on Good Friday in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth country. Question seven. What is the name of the National Day of Remembrance in Australia, New Zealand and Tonga. That falls on April 25th. Question eight. What spring? Hindu Holiday is known as the Festival of Colors. Question nine. Where is the Easter Lilly capital of the world? And question 10. Ancient Egyptians built the great stinks so that it points directly toward the rising sun. On what day? In the spring. And that great country is Japan, which I just visited and saw the beginnings of the cherry blossoms. They were just starting and wish I could have seen more, but they were beautiful. Question four, who proposed the idea of daylight saving time? That is good. Old Ben Franklin, I mean it made sense at the time. Not sure if it makes too much sense now since we're not all out there farming. But yeah, it was a great idea at the time. Question five. Name the Greek goddess of spring. That's Persephone question six. Name the spiced bread. Traditionally eaten on Good Friday in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth countries. Those are hot cross buns and they are very, very tasty. Question seven. What is the name of the National Day of Remembrance in Australia, New Zealand and Tonga? That falls on April 25th. That would be Anzac Day, which stands for Australia, New Zealand Armed Corpse. Not sure why Tonga doesn't get a mention in there. Okay. Question eight. What? Spring? Hindu holiday is known as the festival of Colors that is holy. And question nine, where is the Easter Lilly capital of the world? That is Smith River, California. This fertile area is located in the far northwest corner of California, and it's home to less than 900 residents, but it produces about 95% of the world's Easter lily bulbs, which is pretty incredible. And question 10. Ancient Egyptians built the great stinks so that it points directly toward the rising sun. On what day? In the spring. That is the spring Equinox, of course.
