From Test To Testimony
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Pressure has a way of exposing what we truly trust. Tonight we sit with a hard but freeing truth: you can’t have a testimony without a test. If you’re walking through a trial, feeling stretched, tired, or unsure how you’re going to make it, this message is built to meet you right where you are and remind you that God can carry what you cannot.
We move from prayer into Scripture and real-life application, grounding the conversation in James 1:2–4, Romans 5:3–5, 1 Peter 1, Hebrews 12, and Romans 8:28. We talk about why trials can refine faith like fire, how endurance builds character and hope, and why your story matters more than you think. A testimony isn’t a catchy line. It’s the lived evidence of God’s faithfulness when life gets painful, confusing, or unfair.
I also share personal transparency about healing, learning obedience, and stepping into purpose even when I didn’t want to. We address betrayal, envy, and spiritual wisdom for protecting your heart, plus the danger of judging people in a season when so many are one paycheck away from crisis. We even go into mental health, the “mask” many of us wear, and why forgiveness is a command even when going back is not.
If this helped you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find it. What test are you believing will become your testimony?
Welcome And A Quick Reset
SPEAKER_00The chains of broken victory is mine.

Prayer For Needs And Atlanta Flood
SPEAKER_02Dear Heavenly Most Gracious Father, Father, we come to you on this evening, Lord, saying thank you. Thank you for another day's journey on this green earth, Lord. We do not take it for granted. Every day we get up to see a new day, Lord. That's a blessing. It's a blessing to see a new day, but it's an even greater blessing to be able to get it right with you, Father. For we know we live in an imperfect world, we know we're imperfect people, but we have a perfect Father, we have a perfect Savior that went to Calvary for us, Lord. So, Lord, we thank you for that. We just ask, Lord, that everybody that's standing in the need of prayer, Lord, you meet them at their needs on today, Lord. We just asking on this day for those that's in Atlanta, Lord, that flood that took place yesterday, Lord, that you bless those people that was caught up in the flood. Lord, I was just downtown yesterday, but you got me home safely. But so many other people were caught up. But the good Samaritans, especially that veterans, just jumped out in action and went to work. Lord, I thank you for the people that have a heart of goal, that don't think twice, just react. Because, as you say, we are a brother and our sister keep, love our neighbor like we love ourselves. And if we love ourselves, truly love ourselves, we go love and do for others as we would do for ourselves. So as you give me this word on tonight, as you speak through me and exude, I ask that you let it bless someone's soul. Let them not only be hearers of the word, but also doors. Because we're living in a day and time where people just repeating rituals and not taking heed to your word, your call of action of what we need to be doing and how we should be living down here. So continue to use me as your vessel as you see fit to awaken the giant and the souls of man. I ask these in all blessings in Jesus' name. I pray, Amen.
Your Test Becomes Your Testimony
SPEAKER_02All right, child. So tonight we're gonna talk about how your test is for your testimony. See what we must understand when we go through these tests, it's because it's you're gonna have a testimony on the other side. Because just like in school, you don't go to the next grade until you pass the test, right? Well, that's kind of what God did with us while we incarnated. We were incarnated on this green earth. We didn't come here just to look pretty, we had to take these tests, trials and tribulation. Cast your cats on him because he cares for you. It's not just supposed to be cliche, something that you're just saying. Because I want y'all to really think about something. If we didn't go through the tests of needing God, do you really believe you would call and depend on him? I doubt it. Because I mentioned, I I don't know if it was today or the day before, how even in life, if someone didn't leave an impact on you, you're not likely to remember them. So needing and depending on God keeps us grounded and rooted in Him. Because I can promise you, even if you think you don't need Him, baby, when life comes at you and slap you down, only God can get you up. I don't care who you know, how much money in your pocket, nobody got all power than God. So let's get into this word tonight. So y'all know I got my notes to keep me on task.
Scripture On Trials And Perseverance
SPEAKER_02So we're gonna come here because the Bible teaches us about true testimonies come through enduring trials. God often uses suffering, persecution, and hardship to refine our faith, it produced perseverance and give believers a powerful story to share about his faithfulness. Do you know sometimes what you go through can save someone else's life? I mean, for real. Sometimes what you're going through, you just sharing that story, sharing what you went through can give somebody else hope, somebody else strength to hold on just a little while longer. So in James 1, 2, and 4, it says, consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. This testing is not just hardships, but a process that strengthens character and equips believers to stand firm. Romans 5, 3 through 5 links suffering to perseverance, character, and hope, all of which are essential for a testimony that can inspire others. 1 Peter 1 6 and 7 describe trials as refining fire that produces genuine fate of greater work than gold, which will be praised when Christ is revealed. Hebrews 12 and 11 calls disciples painful discipline. I'm sorry, calls discipline, painful at the time, but produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those trained by it. Some examples in the scripture. Job endured extreme suffering, but emerged with a testimony. I heard about you from others. Now I have seen you. Jobs 42 and 5. His trials made his faith visible and credible. Paul faced beatings, imprisonment, and exile, yet his experience became the foundation of his powerful gospel testimony. See the idea, a testimony is not just words, it's a lived out story of God's faithfulness in the midst of the trials. See, God lived through that trial you're going through, and you gotta go through it in order to get through
A Personal Miracle And Real Faith
SPEAKER_02it. See, I remember when God told me that with my middle child who will be 22 this year. I remember having her, I just turned 25 weeks. That was scary because doctors didn't think she was gonna make it. But I knew when God gave me the child, he said she shall be called miracle. I knew what miracle meant, but I went and looked it up again. But see, he told me she gotta go through it in order to get through it. So, what that means is whatever you're going through, you gotta go through it in order to get through it. But that sort of faith, see what we must understand when you say you walk by faith and not by sight, you must remember faith is truly believing in the power of God, not in Sean, not in your spouse, not in your pastor, not in your parent, is truly believing in the power of God, the Almighty, the divine, the great, I am, the beginning and the end. Only one that can carry us through. And you can't have a testimony, you can't have a testimony, you can't have a testimony without a test. Notice testimony. There's a test before it becomes a testimony. So you in order to have a testimony, you gotta go through some tests, and some people just have more testimonies than others, and that's okay, because God knows children, and some is his soldiers, which that's what we are, his soldiers. We're just he knows we're a little bit stronger, we can go through a little bit more. God knows each and every one of us, so he knows what we can handle, what we can bear. And I remember somebody wanted to argue one time with me to say you don't God don't know how much we can bear. How can you? He's the creator, just like we as parents, as you sit with your kids and you've been with them from birth, and and as they develop, you watch their patterns, you watch their habits, you start knowing what they can handle. Right? See, we gotta sometimes think outside the box. The very trials God allows are the tools that believers are encouraged to embrace trials as opportunities for growth, knowing that God is refining their faith and preparing them to share his truth with others. This process builds endurance, character, and hope, the very qualities that make a testimony compelling and credible. See, you want the testimony not to only be compelling but very credible because people need to know it's true. Because now it is just what it is. People don't they they make up stuff, okay. I I I didn't seen it on TV. I'm not here to judge and say nothing about nobody people giving all this money and they tell them look, they made such and such walk right in the in that moment. But at the end of the day, y'all have to remember people know if we use God's name. Now, I'm not gonna say we because let me not include myself in that because I'm not gonna play with God. Playing with God is like playing with fire, you're gonna get burnt. At some point, you're gonna get burnt. Second Corinthians 1 and 4 through 5. God comes alongside us in hard times, and before we know it, he brings others through similar trials so we can be there for them, just as he was for us. You see there, so as you go through, God bringing us through. So, Romans 8 and 28, one of my favorite verses, God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. So, just because we went through something bad, don't worry about it, count it all, joy, because God gonna turn it around for your good. And his love is shown through our lives, and that's the God honest truth, you know. With so much going on nowadays, I see all the good. There's a lot of times you'll see me sharing uh my different on my posts with other people outside of myself because I think it's beautiful to see the world coming together in love in spite of everything else that's going on. We don't need to keep seeing all the negativity, all the hate. We know it's there, the envy. We don't need all that if we as his children continue to breathe life into others and love others and help others through their trying time, that's what makes the world go around. That's what makes the world a better place. So, like I said, the Bible teaches us that a true testimony comes through in doing trials, you know. So we must understand that, and that's why we have to count it all joy, because you know, sometimes when you're going through, you sit there, you you you just beating yourself down, you're so depressed, you're angry, you're mad, sometimes you're bitter.
Healing Leads To Obedience And Purpose
SPEAKER_02I'm telling you from my experience, I ain't saying that's you, but I'm just telling you, because somebody out there it had had an experience what I experienced, and it was not until healing that I realized all that I went through was to help others because see when God called me, I didn't want to do this. I promise you I didn't. I fought God tooth and nails until I couldn't fight no more. And I tell you all the time, I'm very transparent, I was very stubborn, and I realized I could talk till I was blue in the face. God was not trying to hear me, I had to learn to be obedient. Obedience is better than sacrifice, and when I decided to be obedient, my life changed. Well, it all started with healing and then helping others, and then others' people start saying, Oh, it made a difference in their life. Then it clicked, the light bulb clicked for me, and I realized that was the purpose because even when God was telling me it was I was gonna be global, I didn't. I'm just sitting here like just in the United States, is it is enough. You thinking global, you know, a lot of times people don't understand because you you got your good and bad with everything, but with social media, when you have other countries that don't share and participate and talk about God, and they can hear about God, get a better understanding about God because God is using me as his vessel as he sees fit. Do you know that's a blessing? I had to realize that. Amen. I didn't know what I didn't know until I start seeing the bigger picture. So sometimes we're running from the one thing God needs us to learn from, so he can use us to help others. Because that's what it's really about, beloved. It's about helping one another. And once you understand that concept, that it's about helping one another and being there for each other, you will see even in your household how things change with your spouse, with your children. Because sometimes, you know, we don't understand, even when we're going through, we react out of emotion, mostly women, you know, because women is embedded in us. I I'm I mean, y'all could just be mad with me. We we emotional beings, so sometimes we don't understand that that concept, even when we're going through. If we learn to let go and let God, it'll make home better with you, your spouse, your children, everybody, because we all not once did God say you was gonna have a perfect life. He automatically has in there where we fighting against principalities and power. See, people continue to look for the devil with red horns. He don't have red horns, yeah. He looked like you and me. Because we all spiritual beings, and you gotta understand spirits look to connect. That's why you have to even be careful who you suck with. Even Jesus showed us that with Judas. You think he didn't know? Yes, he knew. Everything Jesus showed us by example was for us for this day and time. He wanted us to know we was gonna get betrayed by someone you you you was close with. He wanted us to know we was gonna get lied on. Most of us then had people steal from us. Most of us then had somebody wanting to copy you, and
Betrayal, Envy, And Staying Original
SPEAKER_02a person can try to duplicate you a million and one times. You are an original, no matter how many times they try, they can never be you. It's one thing you look up to me as a leader to lead and guide you, just like I train my agents. There's not another Sean. Tweak everything I'm teaching you the skill and make it fit your personality. But see, some people get so caught up in being envy that they lose what could be the blessing. You can be that guy to help prep them. No different from a tour guide that's taking you around. That's how we gotta look at ourselves and the people that want to be us. They have to look at what I can learn and tweak so I can make a difference in society, I can make a difference in the world because God wants us to be a blessing to one another. He didn't just say for the rich to be a blessing, you might not have monetary to bless others, but you might have a word, you might have a story, because let me tell you something. I don't care who you is, we all got a story. Your story might not be just as deep as mine, but you got a story. Because saying you had a perfect life, that's like saying you was God, and none one of us is God, so near one of us has a perfect life. We all have flaws because we had imperfect. Parents, imperfect grandparents, imperfect teachers, imperfect pastors. See? Sometimes we gotta think before we start speaking. And I don't know no other way but to be truthful and be transparent and tell it like it is. Because I'm not gonna sugarcoat it because I don't want nobody sugarcoating for me because God's gonna hold me accountable. So I have to do my part and do what does say the Lord. Not with Sean. Oh, I want to protect the feeling, I don't want to hurt nobody feeling. This is why a lot of people going astray and doing what they want to do. Because everybody wants to preach prosperity, but nobody wants preach the truth. See, true manifestation comes when you're here, but we'll talk about that another day. And when I say true manifestation, you know what in the prayer says, as it is in heaven, it shall be bound here on earth. But I don't wanna get too deep, that's a whole nother topic. God gonna make sure you're good, but God will make sure you're great, but that's where being obedient comes in at. That's where doing the will of God comes in at.
Compassion Over Judgment In Hard Times
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I hear all the stories. Well, they put themselves in that position. Do you know the average minimum wage in the United States of America? You could be one paycheck from the poor house, too. Everybody got something to say about somebody, but nobody knows how that person got there. Gas prices like it is now. Bread is what it is now. You don't know what people go through. If we learn to stop judging and pray for our brother and sister, we'll see a lot of people come out of depression. We'll see a lot less suicides. See, they ain't telling y'all how high the suicide rate, but go research it for yourself. Just go see in the last year how many people committed suicide. See, I told you I I I can't tell you no lie sugarcoated to make you feel good. I ain't here to get the tiding plate passed around. That ain't what God called me to do. Because one got like a cheer forgiver, but that's gonna be a topic, too. We have to have our own relationship with God because the more we have a relationship with God and get to know God, the more God will reveal Himself and everything about the Word of God, the way He wants to deliver it to you, so you know the truth, it won't be no confusion, none, none whatsoever. See, the whole idea, everything, a testimony is not just words, it's the live out story of God faithfulness in the midst of your trials. Going back to without a test, you have no testimony. Because anything that's genuine and and and done in authenticity, it speaks of a true test, no different from Daniel and the lion, then a lot of things the Bible spoke in parable metaphor, metaphorically speaking. But God did everything for a reason, just like stories. Don't we remember stories? Now, if I just tell you something without giving analogies like a story or something that's gonna stick, you're not gonna remember. It's human nature. That's why they say facts tell and story sells because we all can relate to a story, and what it said, everyone got a story inside them, and that's true. We all have a story. So, some takeaways I want you to understand. Believers are encouraged to embrace trials and opportunities for growth, knowing that God is refining your faith and preparing them to share his truth with others. This process builds endurance, character, and hope, the very qualities that make a testimony compelling and credible. Yes, I repeated that, but I repeated it for a reason, it's important. We have to understand what you've been through will take the next person to the next level of their healing journey or going through because it's not easy for none of us out here, even a person that has a significant income, they going through too, nobody exempt, nobody because I say all the time, God is not man, God does not lie, man. Does not God see you you can make a person see something different because you could put a mask on.
Depression Masks And Learning To Forgive
SPEAKER_02Most of us been good at that. I know for me, before healing, you know, I smile, put have a mask going through depressed is all outdoors. I couldn't even tell you the last time I dealt with depression. When I truly sat down this last time in here and got to know God for myself. See the joy I have now, it surpassed all my understanding, every bit of understanding, and the love I have now is unconditional for all my fellow men. I had to forgive and love all my enemies. Now God didn't tell me forgive. And he didn't say go back and hang among them. But he said forgive and love. Forgive and love. And he said he works everything out for your good, everything for those that love him and are called according to his purpose. He didn't say some things, he said all things, even when your enemy try you, count it all joy. Because I'm gonna tell you something. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy coming in the morning. This too shall pass. Trouble can't last always when a storm comes in the world, do that storm last? It comes in, and it might cause severe damage, total destruction, demolish the whole home, whole neighborhood. But when they rebuild, most of the time it's beautiful than the original state, no different with God when we go through what we go through, and God get us through, because we got to go through in order to get through. Put us back together than what we were. See the potter put the clay back together to the original state.
Count It All Joy And Closing Prayer
SPEAKER_02So whatever you going through, whatever you've been through, count it all joy. And before we pray and leave, I want y'all to hear a little snippet of the song Count It All Joy. Okay. Well, we'll we're gonna go ahead and pray, and then I'm gonna exit out with y'all hearing uh count it all joy because I want you um to hear this song before y'all exit tonight, because this song that I want y'all to hear really moves me through my healing process, going through so much, and still do. So I want y'all to hear before y'all leave completely tonight, but we're gonna go ahead and pray, okay? Please close your eyes, dear heavenly most gracious father. Father, I come to you tonight, thanking you, Lord, for this evening's word. Lord, I ask that somebody, whether it be Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, iHeartRadio, wherever this podcast may be, Lord. Let this message help someone understand that no matter what we go through, we should count it all joy. We should give you all the thanks, all the glory, knowing that you go carry us through for you tell us to cast all our cares, all our worries unto you. For you, all you want us to have peace, peace and joy and love. So, Lord, help my brothers and sisters on tonight, those that don't know you in the midst of their sins, in the midst of their trouble, those that walked away because of people hurt. Help them understand, Lord, that people will hurt you, but you will never hurt us. Let them know, in spite of what they're going through, you're there to lead them and guide them along the way. All they have to do is extend their arm out to you, extend their hand, and you will guide them, you will lead them. Let them know we don't have to do nothing on our own, and we shouldn't do nothing on our own. We should put all our trust in you for those that lost their job, lost their home, whatever they need, Father, they don't have money for food. Send an angel, send them their way, make a way out of no way, and those people, father, that lost health insurance due to no subsidy that wasn't enough to meet their needs because they couldn't afford paying the premium or paying their mortgage or their rent. Make a way out of no way, like I know you can and you will. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. All right, child. Until next Thursday. Now stay stay tuned. I want y'all to hear that song.
