Culture Shock

The state of education is poor and going in the wrong direction quickly. Students are rethinking college and entering the workforce early. But you might be curious about the state of student affairs, specifically cultural centers, and how we are thriving through this very difficult time. I promise to share how that looks during our story time. 

I also know you are here for the tea (as our students say). There are many recent experiences (dating back to COVID) at Rutgers (and many other schools in the country) that have challenged our work and area in very difficult ways. The Center for Latino Arts and Culture (CLAC) was a target and we endured a tremendous burden that NO community centered in care should go through. But we are healing and are coming out of the dark night of the soul and are headed into a powerful new beginning.
