What's up, what's up? We back in the house today. How you doing, Renita? Checking back in.
SPEAKER_00I'm doing great. You know, just
SPEAKER_01enjoying this lovely weather we have. I
SPEAKER_00am. You know, this rain is like, it's refreshing. It's nice after that heat. That heat is
SPEAKER_01a beast, man. I mean. Hey, this is a serious heat wave right here we got going on because I ain't seen no heat like this in a long time. This has been some serious heat. I don't like it, but yeah, that rain coming in today was very nice. I appreciate that rain. Yeah. So, yeah, so we're going to get into our vibe check question of the day. Let's jump into... A question, seeing we both as parents, I thought this would be an interesting question for us to ask. And remember, the questions of the day now are going to be on our Facebook page. So make sure y'all check out our Facebook page and answer our questions right along with us. We're going to give you all our responses, but we want to hear what y'all think, too, about these questions. So check out us on eWatchers on Facebook. All right. So here's the question of the day. What made you not want to have kids? I know that's a question that I know as parents, like I said, it's like, okay, you got kids, so it's hard to say something wrong. about having kids when you got kids, but you've had your moments where you'd be like, you know what? Y'all did something that made me be like, yeah, I wish y'all wasn't here. What was that moment for you, Renita? What was the moment that was like, all right, yeah, I could throw them back. I could throw
SPEAKER_00them away. Well, you know, for me, like, okay, so I have boys and I have a girl. So, you know, girls can, you know, test you. You know what I mean? As a girl, As a, as a, as a homie. Yeah. So it's like, it's like not those moments. Like, it's like, oh my God, like what was I thinking? You know, but prior to having kids, like I used to always say, okay, I don't want kids. I was good. I was chill. You know, when I was younger, you know, and I started having children, barely young. Um, so, um, back then, prior to having kids, like, I ain't want no kids, you know, because I have time for that. You know what I mean? You don't have time for that. You ain't really thinking of that. You know, you ain't trying to be with that. But then, you know, it happens. And it's like, Wow, now I have kids. It's all cute. I tell people all the time, it's so weird. It's like, okay, with little babies, you're like, okay, oh, they're so precious, so innocent. And then you have those ones like, man, I wish I could get some sleep and all that. But then it's like, I can't wait for my baby to grow up. And then when the child gets older, you're like, oh, my God. I miss when the newborn you know what I mean I
SPEAKER_01can't wait for you to talk I wait for you to tell me what you want instead of doing this pointing thing you doing I can't understand what that means and they start talking you wish they would shut up just shut the hell up please I'm tired of hearing you so yeah for me I would have to say the thing that made me just be like you know what these kids can go changing diapers I got two girls and yeah changing diapers is not for me I don't like no changing no diapers and them explosive ones yeah that one already made me just be like yeah y'all please take this child back I don't want it no more I couldn't do that so yeah changing diapers for me nah I was like yeah that one made me rethink kids all together as a whole just like yeah I can't do this same for me but yeah yeah let us know what What y'all think out there, man? What made y'all not want to have kids? If you don't have kids, you know, definitely, I'm pretty sure we're going to get some answers for the people that don't have kids. But for the people that do have kids, what made you rethink your kids? What made you say, you know, I wish I could give them back? You know, DSS, please come knock on my door. No, no, we're not promoting that. But we're going to jump into the reels and the feeds today. So, Renita, go ahead and give us your first one.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so my first one goes a little something like this. Y'all making me laugh. That's okay. Y'all know I like to come with the jokes, you know, the humor or whatever.
SPEAKER_01We got all day. We're just
SPEAKER_00here. Okay, here we go. Getting older is wild. One wrong pillow angle and now your neck is applying for disability.
SPEAKER_01That's real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I saw that and I thought it was funny because it's like...
SPEAKER_01You must be a strange sleeper. I'll take that. You sleep weird and wake up in all kinds of weird positions and just don't know how you got there?
SPEAKER_00No. I sleep like in the one spot but my pillow. You know like it has to be like I have to set it away and it's like okay I might turn my head a little at night. You know what I mean? So the pillow is not like you know I don't like like a flat pillow. I like a fluffy pillow but not too fluffy. And you know sometimes my face is heavy. So you know when you lay in like sometimes well you know sometimes like I might fall asleep with the pillow under my chin. So of course over the course of me sleeping that's not under my chin no more you know or my way on my neck so I wake up like oh man oh my god what you call it cranking my neck yeah
SPEAKER_01that's the worst waking up with that crank in your neck after you just feel like you just had some of the best sleep of your life oh my god and then trying to work that thing out that's something yeah you right you trying to apply for disability like oh my god I can't even work no more my neck is just broken it's all tore up but Yeah, I'm a wild sleeper, I think. I don't know how. I mean, people always tell me, you know you be all over the place in your sleep. I'm asleep. How the hell do I know that? People tell you that? I see what you did there. I didn't do nothing. I mean, in previous relationships, Renita, I have been told since we got to be specific here. Women have told me that I sleep all over the place in previous relationships, ma'am. Since we're getting all specific here. But yes, I don't know how I sleep. Just like I've been told I snore in my sleep. I don't know that because I'm asleep. Hey, they say it's so loud that it wakes up the neighborhood. Oh, well, they're just going to have to be awake because I don't know nothing about it. I'm asleep. But, yeah, you know, like I said, if you feel like you done got good and comfortable and you got that pillow just in that right position and you wake up and that crank be in your neck, you'd be like, man, what happened here? I wasn't expecting that. That's not okay. But yeah, I definitely get that. It definitely makes you feel like you're disabled waking up like that. So, yeah. Shout out to the people who work out them neck cranks. We're going to go to the next one. I saw this story and thought it was quite interesting. For people that believe in good karma, I feel like this is a good karma moment if I ever did hear one. So... A South Carolina Gamecock star, Joyce Edwards, donates entire $15.9 million bonus and sponsorship earnings to homeless shelter in Camden, South Carolina, to help fund 150 units housing with 300 shelter beds. That right there, I feel like... is definitely some i'm trying to get me some all the good karma because she definitely did not have to do that now i've heard a lot of people giving different takes on it like apparently social media was eating her up i've seen some of the posts and stuff like that where people were saying she was stupid and she crazy she not lost her mind um i don't think so i don't agree um What do you feel about that, Renata? Were you giving away that kind of money, $15.9 million? You giving that away for a good cause?
SPEAKER_00I have to be honest. No. I would give away some. You selfish bastard. I would not give away that much. I am not going to sit here and lie. I would not do that. I would not give away that much, but I would give away some. I'm the kind of person, I give all the time. I don't have it, but just simple. But if you had it. I wouldn't give away that much. Even if you had it? Not that much. I'm not even going to sit here and lie. I'd probably invest it or take... Weird trips or something. I don't know. I would not give away that much. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that. But I could see why she... You know, did it? Because if you look at most celebrities or well-off people that do things like that, maybe it was like something she went through or someone that was close to her went through.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it says she's seen the effects of homelessness firsthand growing up, and I never knew. I knew if I ever had the means, no one deserves to sleep on the sidewalk. So she experienced something like this, and that's why she partially
SPEAKER_00did it. Exactly. But,
SPEAKER_01you know,
SPEAKER_00so, yeah. because I don't have I feel like you know it's an act of passion what she did it's also giving and passion so she has a great you know passion can really now we can get deep passion can really overtake you overtake the mind so it's like I think that's what's going on if it's something like me I'll have a passion for traveling so I could see myself doing something like that you know yeah you
SPEAKER_01spend it on yourself
SPEAKER_00no I'm gonna give a little bit but not that much so if
SPEAKER_01you got 30 million you're not gonna give it half of it away 15 God, I
SPEAKER_00hate
SPEAKER_01this. The way I thought about it, though, and I looked at the story and I looked at the overall of it. Okay, this is a bonus. that they said she got. So this means this is extra money. She, this is not her actual salary or nothing like this. This is extra like sponsorship money and bonus money that she got. So this is extra money. So that means she has money. She got, like I said, she's well off apparently. So she might, like might've been a situation where it's like a 30, you know, she might've had 30 million and she gave 15 of it away. I feel like that's, that's actually inspiring. Like that's very humble of her to do that. And, especially for a good cause, for a good reason. I mean, if I had it, I'd probably give it away. I mean,
SPEAKER_00she might be on the back end, like, you know, making different moves and stuff with it. You know, it could be like an investment kind of sort of something.
SPEAKER_01I don't feel like it's a situation where she's doing it to a detriment to herself, where it's like something that's going to financially hurt her. Like after it was something that was going to financially hurt her, I feel like she probably wouldn't have did it, but for her to do it, You know, at that amount, I feel like that's something she's secure with. You know, she's secure with herself to be able to deliver that amount. But I don't feel like people have the right to judge her and call her stupid for doing that because I'm like, it was a very positive thing to do. Y'all shouldn't sit there and downplay something she did that was so positive and make it out to be like she's stupid. She has her money. Let her do what she want with her money. Renita would go and travel with her money. This woman just wants to give it away. Hey, there's nothing wrong with either one of those things. It's just how you decide to live. But, yeah, Renita, let's go to the next one. Just give us the next feed.
SPEAKER_00Okay, my next one. Since we on, like, you know, goodies and stuff like that. So I saw this one, and it's kind of similar, and I thought it was pretty neat. So 42Doug releases children's book inspired by his son's autism journey. Mine kind of normal. Okay.
UNKNOWNSo, you know.
SPEAKER_01What you think about the book?
SPEAKER_00I have to be honest. I did not read the book. I just scroll inside this. With young children, teenage son, I'm not familiar with all the rappers, but I'm kind of familiar with his music or whatever. I feel like it gives a light for that age group. You never know. Autism can hit anyone. You can't just choose it. I feel like It makes it more relatable, you know, and I feel like it's a good deed that he did, you know, not only for his child, but for other, you know, people, because like a lot of times you have to be able to grasp the attention of the youth. And a lot of times that's hard to do. So it's like, okay, 42 Doug, you know, even being an author, you don't even have to be about autism. But the fact that autism, you know, I think that that's pretty neat and cool. Like I wouldn't even expect him to do something like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that surprised me. I saw that same story and it surprised me to see somebody like him. Like you said, you know, somebody that the young people go around emulating and they rap in every word of his songs and stuff like that. There's something, you know, so special for, you know, his son. I get, you know, being a parent is definitely, you know, that takes that soft side and brings that out of you. And I'm pretty sure that's where that came from, that place. But it was just different to see that. But it's a very positive thing. because at the end of the day, like you said, that's going to bring more eyes and more attention to that cause of autism and things like that. So people who have children with autism and stuff like that can get their children to, you know, relate to his son's story. And it's just an all-around relatable situation. So, yeah, big shouts out to Doug, 42Doug. Yeah, that was big, man. You did a big thing with that one, man. So, yeah. Real respect for that one. So, Renita, you ready for a story? Let's go. This is a crazy story. I'm almost, okay. All right. So, here we go, guys. Story time. So, boom. I told my man I was getting bored in the bed with him. I wanted to bring a little more action into our relationship. So I introduced him to a poly relationship with my current sneaky link. Our relationship went from good to worse. I'd always catch them having it more than me. I wouldn't be invited into my own house. So I asked him, was he gay? Because who doing the bending? Because it ain't me getting bent. And I then got my own Dude, bamboozled right under my nose. That's what I get for trying to introduce a ninja to some fun. Look, he just texted me. And the text reads, yeah, I don't even want to be in a relationship anymore. I'm just not feeling it anymore with you. I'm feeling him way more and he satisfies me well. And can I borrow your heels and makeup bag? I need to start practice on my makeup. How are you feeling about this young lady story?
SPEAKER_00You know what? I have to be honest. I read it. I saw that too.
SPEAKER_01I
SPEAKER_00feel like, hey, you know, that's what you get. It's kind of like, you know, from working around multiple men throughout the years that's normally how it goes like with men you know because it's like okay they'll introduce like the whole three way to their you know and they'll bring their like literally I remember a story from a co-worker in the military you know and that's what he did like he introduced his sneaky link to his current and had a three-way.
SPEAKER_01These were two women though,
SPEAKER_00right? Yeah, two women. But that's what I'm saying. It mostly happens like
SPEAKER_01that. This girl introduced this guy to her dude and he got it in with the dude more than he was getting it in with
SPEAKER_00the girl. That's why you shouldn't try certain things.
SPEAKER_01That sounds like you feel like that's normal.
SPEAKER_00In today's world.
SPEAKER_01Where?
SPEAKER_00In today's world. Anywhere. Because you know what? A lot of times like You know, like, I don't know. The way I was raised and the way I grew up, you know, like, so it's like you're not going to, like, get, like – drunk and tipsy around certain people you know what I mean because these kind of things could happen and you wouldn't even know because if you're out of your mind and you don't know what's going on something like this could happen I've heard so you never heard stories or like okay men go out okay you might go out to a different city different area even your city and you know he having a good time he's like whatever he's celebrating or he turning up he getting out of his mind you know he smoking he drinking whatever the case may be he starts you know a A girl, he think it's a woman, you know, starts gyrating or whatever on him. And before he know it, he might be participating in that and not even knowing that it's a man. And it could lead to them, you know, hooking up. And then he find out later. You know, you never know.
SPEAKER_01Is this dude by himself or is he with friends?
SPEAKER_00Either or. It don't matter. So many people are so... It does
SPEAKER_01matter because if you with friends, you ain't got no real friends.
SPEAKER_00And then let's be honest. Most of these dudes going to jail, you going to prison and staying in prison. You already... So it's like it's so common now. Like when I was a kid, like gayness, you didn't even really know about gayness. It was taboo around here. But now it's like that's so... You see them everywhere. They're flamboyant for men, you know. So it's like you could never know, you know. You just never know. So I don't... That's why I react how I'm reacting because it's like it's not a shocker for me. You know what I mean? If
SPEAKER_01that's your dude and you introduce him into a situation where y'all decide to do a
SPEAKER_00threesome. I told you that from last episode. It's a crowd. I'm not
SPEAKER_01doing anything over two. It's a crowd. For the sake of kicks and giggles here, if you did up and just say, okay, I'll do it, but it's got to be with another guy and then The dude and your dude decide, hey, we getting it popping now. You're going to be like, well, that's my fault. I shouldn't have introduced that.
SPEAKER_00I tell you, I can't. But see, that's how it happens. Men do it all the time. Men do it all the time. So you've never heard of men that... introduce their side piece to their current, and then they start messing around, and then now they hooked up, and now they teaming up against him. But that's a man and two
SPEAKER_01women.
SPEAKER_00So that makes it okay, because it's a man and two women. Gay is gay. That's how I look at it. I mean, because a man, two gay women and two gay men, you know, you can't justify because, oh, it's women. I don't
SPEAKER_01think it's gay, though, if it's two
SPEAKER_00women. Exactly. So why is it gay if it's two men?
SPEAKER_01Because that's two dudes. Okay, if the girl is involved, it's not, in a sense. So yeah, you would just train. No, I'm not with that. I'm just saying it makes it less gay if the girl is in between.
SPEAKER_00It cannot be. Nothing less gay with two men and their private parts.
SPEAKER_01So if two guys run a train on a girl, that's just automatically
SPEAKER_00gay. But two men shouldn't want their private parts even out at the same time.
SPEAKER_01I agree, but at the same time, there's a lot of guys that will argue, hey, that's good clean fun.
SPEAKER_00Guys are little boys. Men are little boys.
SPEAKER_01Oh, hold up now.
SPEAKER_00Because no grown man should be.
SPEAKER_01Did you just come from men in general, really? Men are little boys because they want to have threesomes. Trains, I guess. That makes them little boys? Oh, man. I don't know, man. Like I said, my problem with the story is the fact that these dudes... It's two dudes. No, it's not the fact that it's the two dudes that they just started to taper off and started off with a girl being involved in this and these two dudes just all of a sudden just decided, hey, we don't need her no more. Where did that happen? The one
SPEAKER_00of them got turned out.
SPEAKER_01But it was two straight men, apparently.
UNKNOWNYeah.
SPEAKER_01How did that... I'm lost. Was this not two straight men? Because they was both dealing with her separately at first. So...
SPEAKER_00One of them turned one of them out and they liked it. But
SPEAKER_01then...
SPEAKER_00Who should feel betrayed in
SPEAKER_01that situation?
SPEAKER_00She might as well just join in. That's what she
SPEAKER_01created. She's clearly not into this at all. She is turned off by this at the highest level. They don't want to include her no more. She's like, they don't even include me. I'm the one that started this up. She feels hurt about this. We're going to have to go back to the comments on this one. Y'all are going to have to comment on this one. Who do y'all think should be more hurt about this? Should the girl be hurt because she's introduced the two guys? Should the main dude be hurt because she introduced him to the guy and he somehow got turned out? Or should the side dude be hurt because maybe the main dude turned him out? I don't know who, somebody did some foolery in this whole situation, and I'm just trying to get to the bottom of what it is. So, yeah, y'all leave y'all comments, and y'all tell us what y'all think about this one, because this is an interesting story. Renita, let's go to the next career.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so I have this one. Love is when you stab Bae and take him to the hospital, and he lie about who did it.
SPEAKER_01That is not love. That is the most toxic ass, whatever you want to call it, not love. God knows. Violence is not, violence in a relationship. How come it's okay for women to want to stab men or shoot men, do all these evil things to men, but yet if a man was to do that, that's abuse. That's just straight up abuse.
SPEAKER_00Well, no.
SPEAKER_01It's
SPEAKER_00not a double standard. I mean, to some women.
SPEAKER_01There's a double standard there. You know it. There's definitely a double standard there. If a dude was talking about stabbing a woman, he'd be crazy. And she definitely wouldn't be. Well, some women would stand up
SPEAKER_00for that. But in most cases, dudes are more domestic. I don't
SPEAKER_01agree with that statement negative nope nope I'ma just call y'all crazy women out as I see it y'all crazy too don't even try to put that off on dudes and try to say dudes are more physically domestic than women that is not true dudes don't admit to being abused like women do that's the difference there's a big difference there's a bunch of dudes getting beat up every single day out here getting black eyes and going to work sitting there with glasses on and everything hey man what happened to your wife I ran into a wall homie I ain't even see it coming man I Man, I don't know what happened. So trust me, that is not the truth that women get abused more than men. It's about 50-50. Might be actually 60-40 on the women's side because I believe women get away with it a little bit more just because they, you know, women. And, hey, who's going to believe a woman is beating up a man? But like I said, that's some toxic stuff to sit there and say you're going to stab a man and he's supposed to go to the hospital and not say nothing about it. Hey, report that woman. Put her in jail. She'll put you in jail if she moves on the other foot. You getting locked up, homie? Don't sit there and save that woman. Let her stab you up like that. And then you're going to sit there and agree with her and say that's love. I worry about you sometimes. Oh, man. Let me go to the next one. This is one of my favorite sayings. I saw this one on the reel. It says, I'm just going to get gas in the morning. It's one of the worst decisions you can make as an adult. I'm currently sitting on about 40 miles to empty right now, and that is my whole thought process at this current moment. I'm going to get gas in the morning because I don't feel like stopping to get it tonight. That's just not part of the plan for tonight. I'm just going to make time to get it in the morning. I'll be all right. Are you a procrastinator when it comes to stuff like that, Renita? Like with gas, you wait until that light come on and
SPEAKER_00you just ride it out? No, I try not to get past below a half a tank. Okay. Yeah. Now, in my younger days, that was me. Like, if it's raining, it's cold, it's too hot, I'll wait, I'll come back out. But, you know, with age, because you know you're supposed to get better with time.
SPEAKER_01Supposedly.
SPEAKER_00I don't do that. I haven't done that in about 12. 12 plus years. Oh, really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so you really, like,
SPEAKER_00stay up on it. Mm-hmm. Yeah, because, you know, with age, you're supposed to get better. And then, you know, like, my significant other, he always put me on, like, you know, you cannot do stuff like that to your car. You know, it messes it up. You know, you got to, like, try to, don't try to get...
SPEAKER_01See, Anita just told the truth there, basically. She said she, you notice how she started off saying, I always make sure I have gas in the car at half a tank. She just told the truth, and basically what she just said is, my significant other makes sure that my gas tank is full before I leave and go anywhere, so I don't have to worry about such things. And I respect that. That's what a man's supposed to do. You're supposed to do that. As men, we're supposed to do that, so you're supposed to make sure you want We got a full tank of gas. And you're supposed to be letting her ride around in that light on. Come on now. You got to do that for your woman. But, yeah, like, that's what I just heard. But me personally, yeah, I'm still just going to ride that light out until I just have to absolutely stop. I'm not making that stop at night. I'm just tired. I got things to do. My bed is calling me. I'm not feeling like stopping at that gas station. So, yeah, as an adult. And I get you said, as an adult, you're supposed to evolve into better and do better. Nah, I'm good. I just ain't there yet. So, yeah. What you got next, Renita?
SPEAKER_00Okay, next. Everybody is shocked when you start being real serious about your boundaries. Like, yeah, surprise. Good people get tired, too.
SPEAKER_01Huh. Hmm. Okay, well, let's talk about it. Um... What's the time that you feel like you, you know, had boundaries and you had to set them and somebody just kind of... They were surprised about the fact that you kind of laid that down. What was the time you think that, you know?
SPEAKER_00I mean, in a relationship. Yeah, in a relationship. You know, you have to because, like, you have to... You can't ignore things all the time. So you have to, like... when your peace is disrupted. Because I'm a firm believer that, you know, a lot of people feel like, oh, my person don't make me happy. No, I make me happy. So it's like I need you not to disrupt that. So it's like, you
SPEAKER_01know. That's a different way of thinking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because it's like you shouldn't need no one to make you happy. You know, you should make you happy. I mean, you should want your partner to make you happy too. But no, you should make you happy. Life should make you happy. Being alive, you should be happy. Being blessed. For some people,
SPEAKER_01yeah, but your partner's supposed to be there to kind of balance that out too.
SPEAKER_00That's why. Don't disrupt. Don't make me unhappy. And if you do, let's talk about it. Because when you're like, oh, my person makes me happy, then you're giving that person too much power over you, over your well-being, your mentals, you know. your energy level
SPEAKER_01so you don't think that's just a exchange of power within the relationship itself no um no that goes back to that clingy thing no
SPEAKER_00it's just
SPEAKER_01like
SPEAKER_00so it's like you know because a lot of times especially like in relationship you know you gotta like you gotta speak on certain things so it's like You got to let that person know, like, hey, this is not it. You know, and I'm not bending. You know, certain things you're not. Some things you're going to bend, even with my children. You know, some things I'm a little lenient. I bend with a few things. And some things it's like.
SPEAKER_01You bend on everything with
SPEAKER_00your kids. Oh, no. No. And then some things it's like, this is what it is. Like, there's no shifting.
SPEAKER_01No, so you stay out of business when it comes to your kids. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00At all times. You have to, though. You have to. Sometimes.
SPEAKER_01Within reason. I'll say within reason.
SPEAKER_00You know what a wise lady told me years ago when I was a teenager? A person is only going to do what you allow them to do. And at the time, you know, I'm like, whatever, this lady just... Just yapping. You know, I'm like, this lady just yapping. But, you know, again, with age comes wisdom. You know, so it's like, I see that. A person only going to do what you allow them to do. You know, because somebody could be doing something or saying something, whether that's your child, your significant other, a family member, and they don't even know that it's a problem or that you feel some type of way if you don't address it. So you have to say, hey, I don't like this or this is not, I'm not going for this, you know.
SPEAKER_01But sometimes you address the issue and still no change. So what then?
SPEAKER_00That's when you do what you have to do.
SPEAKER_01That's very broad what you just said there. You do what you have to do. What does that mean? If you're in a relationship and you feel like there's no change and you're saying all these things, what is it when you do what you have to do? Because for some people that's cheating. For some people that's leaving.
SPEAKER_00For
SPEAKER_01some people that could be a number of different
SPEAKER_00things. I mean, why would you... continue to stay in something when a person knows how you feel about it and it bothers you and they don't want to change. So now we're like two fires. You don't want to let down. I'm not going to let down. So what are we doing? We just going to burn and burn and burn and burn and burn and burn? Might as well just go find someone that, hey, it might be someone that's okay with your view on this. And why are we taking up space? Why are we taking up time? We can't get time, money. You can get that back. Time is... You cannot get back time. Don't waste it. Don't waste
SPEAKER_01it. That's very true. You said something very true there. Money is something you can get back time. It's something that's very valuable. You cannot get that back. But people still waste it on each other sometimes. Because I love him. I love her. You know, that type of thing. So, yeah. But, yeah, I agree. I mean, yeah. Definitely invest your time into people that are willing to invest their energy into you. I'll say it that way. That's the best way out of it. with that. Yeah. let's go to the next thing. So this, well, this one came about, um, saw this on a feed and I thought about it because, you know, there's been a lot of people, a few celebrity, big celebrity deaths. Um, recently, uh, we had Malcolm Jamal Warner. Um, we had Hulk Hogan. We had, um, Ozzy Osbourne as well recently passed away. So, um, I was just sitting there and I saw this one on the feed and I said, which it says, which celebrity death shocked you the most? Um, And I thought, okay, well, there's been so many, like, big-time celebrities that, you know, when it came across that they died, I was just like, wow. Never saw, didn't see that one coming. Some of them, you're just like, okay, no surprise there. But, like, some of them, it's just like, wow, that's, that one, that one's, I wasn't expecting that one. So, what was one celebrity death that was, like, real shocking to you? That one that just kind of just came out of nowhere for you?
SPEAKER_00Like, recent or just, like, in general? No, just in general. So, I'm a huge Laker fan. Kobe. That one really, like, was just,
SPEAKER_01like... Kobe was definitely a shocker. Yeah, that was a shocker for me. Yeah. I think that one, I don't remember... I think I was at the beach when that happened, and I heard that over the radio. So, yeah, that one just came out. I thought it was a joke, honestly. Me too. I didn't think it was real. When they said that Kobe had passed away, I thought it was just one of them hoax ones. And I was like, all right, somebody will get to the bottom of this, and they'll be mad about it. But when they said it was real, I was like, oh, wow, that's crazy. So, yeah, that was a shocking one for me. I think the most shocking one for me probably – was um Tupac that was probably the most shocking one for me I don't I know people probably be like how okay like how why would um I remember I was like in middle school when that happened and I just I don't know it just seemed like he was just high up and everything was going good for him at that point in time musically and everything he had going on for him so it just was like And they said he had got shot and everything like that, and then he died a couple days later. It was like, wow, that one surprised me. So I would have to definitely go with Tupac on that one, for sure, out of all the celebrities. And, you know, there's been other ones that probably shocked me pretty good, but that one to me, I think. was one of the most notable ones to me. That was real shocking. Y'all post on our Facebook page and let us know which one of the celebrity deaths, it does not have to be a recent one, it could be any death of a celebrity, that was shocking to you. Which one just kind of made you like, wow, I didn't see that one coming. Y'all give us y'all answers for that one on Facebook and let us know what y'all think. Give us your next read. All right.
SPEAKER_00My next one, I do not want to hear nothing negative about nobody. We all out here trying to make it.
SPEAKER_01Well, are you a person that... The person who posted this, are you a person that posts positive things or says positive things? Or are you one of those people that probably posts a bunch of negative stuff too? I mean, don't dish it if you ain't trying to, you know. Don't put that out there, that energy out there if you ain't actually giving that energy. Because a lot of y'all out here posting all kinds of random stuff. So don't be sitting there talking about, oh, I want only positive vibes only. But yet you're the most negative person ever in the world. Stop it. Yeah. Stop it, man. Be serious. Like, do you hate that, though, going on social media and seeing people, like, post a bunch of positive stuff and then you actually know those people in real life and they don't talk like that at all? Yeah. That gets on your nerves, doesn't it? It's like, come on, man. Be serious. Like, stop. That's... I get people want to try to uplift people and things of that nature, but you have to be an actual uplifting spirit in reality. You can't just be that way online. This online persona can't be, oh, I'm all positive and about all things positive in real life. You're just the worst person. person to be around ever so yeah nobody wants to be around you because all you do is drain everybody's energy because everything is oh my god everything bad always happened to me i don't never have nothing good happening for me and it's like Weren't you just online talking about peace and blessings? Stop it. Oh,
SPEAKER_00man, yeah. Giving bipolar. I
SPEAKER_01don't know about bipolar, but it's giving something. Stop. Just stop faking it. Stop trying to fake it till you make it and just be about the energy. If you feel depressed and down and sad, it's okay. It's okay to tell people that you're feeling that way. It is absolutely nothing wrong with telling people, hey, today. Today sucks. Today I just did not feel like getting up. Today I just did not feel like moving or doing anything. There's nothing wrong with saying that. Don't sit there and say, oh, today I just feel so great and I'm just so full of energy and positive vibes to everybody out there feeling great and best wishes to everybody. And you know, well, you feeling dead inside and you just feel like I could go shoot about 10 people in the face right now. assassin i mean people have these thoughts and that's why they actually go and do these things because they trying to mask it behind oh i feel awesome knowing they
SPEAKER_00don't
SPEAKER_01just be real just
SPEAKER_00be
SPEAKER_01real just tell the truth hey i just don't feel it today today is not my day that's fine you have people that would tell you Say something uplifting for you so you don't have to be the one to pretend to have that uplifting feeling about you. That's what I would rather. Be
SPEAKER_00genuine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, be genuine about it. There's nothing wrong with that. Be genuine about it. So we're going to go to the next story I saw. So I'm hoping this one is not real. But I don't know if you saw this one. They're saying there's a Manhattan-sized mystery object in space. And they say it may be alien technology. Some say it's heading towards the Earth to attack. How do you feel about that one, Renita? Do you believe in aliens, Renita?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01You don't believe in aliens at all?
SPEAKER_00No way. Why not?
SPEAKER_01So you think this big... Galaxy is out there, all them stars and billions of everything out there in the galaxy, and ain't nothing out there in existence but us.
SPEAKER_00No, there's things in existence, but it's not like in our making. I don't know if I'm making sense.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00No, because, okay, you got to think, okay, spiders are living. Certain plants are living, you know, so it's like... How deep are you going to live in? Are you talking about like in a human shape and
SPEAKER_01form? We are human, so it wouldn't be in our necessarily shape. Well, I don't know. I take that back because we don't know what aliens are. So we might be aliens to something else that looks just like us, though.
SPEAKER_00But it
SPEAKER_01might look just like us, though, so it could be.
SPEAKER_00That's an animal, some type of animal. That's got to be an
SPEAKER_01animal. It could look
SPEAKER_00just like us. You see how in the movies and stuff, how they have aliens look? What does it look like?
SPEAKER_01That's for Hollywood, though. I know. There could be aliens on this planet right now walking. We could work with aliens. We could see aliens every day walking past us and not even know it. You never thought somebody around you seemed a little bit too weird and was just like, okay, something about
SPEAKER_00them
SPEAKER_01just ain't right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but not to the fact that they're aliens.
SPEAKER_01You don't feel like they might have been from out of this world? No.
SPEAKER_00I feel like, you know, they maybe got dropped on their heads. Not dropped on their heads. Yeah, dropped on their heads. Jesus. Oh, my
SPEAKER_01God. They just got dropped on their heads.
UNKNOWNYeah.
SPEAKER_01I believe in aliens, for one. I feel like there's something else out there in all of these galaxies and stars and stuff like that. We're not the only thing.
SPEAKER_00No, we're not. It's animals and stuff out there. It has to be animals. It's
SPEAKER_01more than just animals. It's actual living creatures that are like us, I believe, out there in the solar system. Which
SPEAKER_00are animals. So we animals, too? Yeah. Little Mars dogs running around in Venus and Saturn. Rats and... I don't...
SPEAKER_01I have no idea what... No. We are not the only thing in this existence to look... to look like this possibly, but we are definitely... There's other beings out there, I believe. And do they fly around in spaceships? Hey, that's yet to be seen. Well... No. Depends on how you look. So you believe in UFOs, right?
UNKNOWNMm...
SPEAKER_00You on your scientific stuff today. They proven,
SPEAKER_01though. They proven. They release videos now, so you can't say they don't exist. Okay. You not even going. No. Not at all. No. Hold up. I'm sorry. Hold up. I know why you getting quiet. You was in the military. ah the plot thickens you know some shit that's what this is about yeah okay we gonna have to stop talking about this subject cause we don't wanna get Renita in any trouble we don't want no people in them suits to come busting through the door like you better not tell it no no no but Renita clearly knows some shit so if y'all wanna know what's going on out there hit Renita up for sure cause she knows some shit no way yeah so If y'all really want to know all there is to know about aliens, just hit Renita up. Trust me. She got all the info. I'm telling y'all, she got all the info. She was with them people. She got all the info. That's Eric. Nope. I don't have firsthand knowledge like you do. You got firsthand knowledge. All right. Give us your next one, Renita.
SPEAKER_00Okay, my next one. I saw this and I thought it was funny. Kids school is getting out of control What you mean They need a starter for the school bus Wait what I can't make this up
SPEAKER_01Wait a minute now Kids school is getting out of control A starter for the school bus On the kids school list Look here I wish somebody would. These districts have millions of dollars. That ain't got nothing to do with y'all buses. Y'all can't keep y'all buses on the road. That's on y'all.
SPEAKER_00Shit. But you know what? Like, I don't have any elementary students. So, I mean, I have to say for my students, like, the list wasn't, you
SPEAKER_01know. It wasn't. It was normal things. Yeah. Hey, so did you hear about this book bag they got? Because one of the parents told me about this book
SPEAKER_00bag.
SPEAKER_01The schoolyard? Uh. School yard backpack. No, what is it? It's not school yard. It's a... God, what is the name? I forgot the name of the thing now. But it's supposedly a book bag that costs like $200. And it's just a little crazy little design on it. Shut up. Something with a gun. Something related to a gun, I believe. is in the name of it. And
SPEAKER_00the kids buying it. Well, parents buying it. You know, the older kids buying it. No, these are little kids that are wearing these things. And they're like $200 book bags.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, who spends $200 on a book bag? Like, really? That's what we doing?
SPEAKER_00And you go to Timberland and spend $200, they're giving you a book bag.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, but you're getting books with that, though. Huh? You're getting books with that, though, right?
SPEAKER_00No, just the book bag.
UNKNOWNHuh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you spend $200 to get your backpack. Spend $200 on what? Anything in the store. Shirts.
SPEAKER_01So if you buy some boots, the book bag come with the boot. Yeah. Okay, yeah. I can ride with that. That's cool. But no, this is $200 just for a book bag. No way, no day. Some funky looking design book bag.
SPEAKER_00No way, no day.
SPEAKER_01I thought that was the craziest thing. I'm like, $200 for, and then she was like, oh yeah, it lasts a long time. I was like, that better last them from kindergarten to high school. Talking about it'll last a long time. I'm not buying you another book bag ever in life again if I spend $200 on a book bag.
SPEAKER_00Listen, my kids use their backpack for two years and it's, I don't spend no more than 30 bucks, if that, for a backpack. Exactly. That's the normal prices. I'm not buying no backpack unless it got holes, strapped, just not working. Seriously, like, come
SPEAKER_01on. Yeah. I mean, back in the day when we was in school, your book bag literally had to be falling apart to get a new book bag. You had that joint stapled together, taped up. Listen,
SPEAKER_00I'm in the day. I know we did it back in the day when we were little. We in the day. My kids know, like,
SPEAKER_01two
SPEAKER_00years and even something longer than that like you said I'm not buying another backpack unless like something is wrong with the other one yeah same thing with lunchbox like I mean true and my you know when I was younger as a kid before having kids like I mean like we talked about before on previous episodes like I would make money you know have my little job clothes shoes and my mom would always you know tell me hey you know you're throwing away your money you're throwing away your money you know save your money or invest your money you know buy you a piece Right. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You ain't spending up my money like
SPEAKER_00that. No, not on that. Not on those type of things.
SPEAKER_01But I mean, kids, you got to think about it, too. I mean, clothes are way more expensive. Shoes are definitely way more expensive. Coupon. Coupon. Yeah. Oh, I did see. Shout out to. I'm not a sponsor, so I should have shot them out like that. But I mean. I'm going to just give props where props is due. Dick's Sporting Goods had a good sale on the Air Force Ones this week.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's all the time. Dick's and Academy. Like, I frequent there a lot. Like, really, now is the time to go get, like, your hoodies and things like that. Like, winter sets and stuff. Because you can get, like, good deals. I went in there, like, last... Well, I say last. But this, like... April and racked up on my kids like you know the t-shirts the shorts and stuff like that all named Brent you go to that clearance rack 60% off you know 70% off so some of this stuff is valued at like 80 bucks and you're getting it for like 12
SPEAKER_01right
SPEAKER_0016 I mean you can't beat that
SPEAKER_01you definitely can't like I said when I seen Air Force Ones for $30 I was like what the hell Air Force Ones is these them gotta be the knockoffs no these was legit Air Force Ones for $30 I'm like whoa Okay, at Dick's. Okay. Hey, at Dick's Sporting Goods. God, I swear it's got to be clear in here. Very, very clear. Dick's Sporting Goods store. They sell a lot of different things at that store. And shoes, guns, things of that nature, you know. Sporting Goods. Dick's Sporting Goods. So be clear about this. Oh, man. Yeah. People don't be sitting there going over shopping over these kids lists and taking them to sometimes teachers will get outrageous when they put stuff on the list that they need for the classroom you gotta put that stuff in them people get paid just like y'all do they can afford to get some of that stuff for their own class don't be going out there buying up all that stuff for them people class for them to be taking home and you know that's what they gonna do take that stuff oh you laughing over there cause you know I'm telling the truth she used to be taking up all them juices and stuff all them kids candy and cakes and doggone chips and stuff be going right back to them teachers houses having all kinds snacks for months
SPEAKER_00nah
SPEAKER_01nah nah nah oh that's what we doing we just flat out selling lies on this show I'm telling the truth don't send them snacks
SPEAKER_00they don't be having like snacks I see what they have like the Kleenex and like disinfecting wipes
SPEAKER_01and stuff where does that stuff go when they have leftovers where does that stuff go when they have leftovers I don't know you know where it goes Straight to the house. They do not keep that
SPEAKER_00at the school. Most of the teachers, like, you know, they buy their own
SPEAKER_01real talk, though. Okay, we're not going to do that. But, I mean, I'm just going to say stop sending all that stuff to the school because it ain't going where you think it go. I promise you. I'm not trying to rat you teachers out. I love y'all, but I realize y'all have a really tough job in what y'all do, and y'all deserve to steal something from these little bastards sometimes. But, I mean, at the same time, y'all need to stop robbing them parents because y'all ain't robbing the child. Y'all robbing the parent. The parent the one buying all this stuff. So I'm just letting that be known. Stop sending all that stuff up to that school thinking them kids using all that stuff. Ain't nobody using that much stuff over the course of a year. No, stop. Y'all doing a disservice to yourselves. Getting cheated. All right, man. It's time to give our hot take. And this question I saw, I was watching, you watch The Chi on Showtime?
SPEAKER_00I've watched a few episodes. Okay. But I haven't gotten real deep into it because I had a free, I don't know what you call it, a little free trial. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm not even
SPEAKER_00going to... Coupon, listen.
SPEAKER_01Did you just say a free trial?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, a free trial. When it ran out, I ran out. She
SPEAKER_01kept up with the show until... Okay. I'm a little deep in on the show. I'm current on the show. One of the main characters on the show, Emmett's mom, is dying of cancer. On this week's episode, they decided to throw her, not a funeral, but it was kind of a celebration of life ceremony. And it made me think of the question, how do you feel about people, would you want to have a celebration of life ceremony if you knew you were terminally ill and you were going to die soon? Would you want to have a celebration of life ceremony instead of having a funeral? How would you feel about doing something like that?
SPEAKER_00I love it. I would do that. Because I feel like, to me, it's kind of like my take on weddings. Funerals is like overrated. That's just my personal opinion. Because unless that person, which is what you're saying, left something written or verbally told someone, you know, their children or their spouse, hey, this is what I want. When I pass away, anything else is for the people. Right. And most of the people that come with the suggestions and all this stuff, they ain't trying to pay nothing. They just want to tell you, oh, well, put Hattie Mae in a purple dress. We need four limos. We want Mr. John to do the flower arrangements. You know, it's just not needed. That's just my opinion.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. You know? Yeah, I agree. I think funerals are definitely overrated. Definitely overpriced. Definitely overpriced. I feel like a celebration of life ceremony is definitely a way to go. I would do it for sure. I would like for everybody to kind of, yeah, give me my flowers while I'm alive. While I can see. Let me celebrate it. Let me see who actually going to show up and show me that day. Show up and show out. Show up to me. I'll have all those people show up to my funeral when I'm gone and be like, oh, yeah, he was such a good person, and I loved him so much, and we just had such a great
SPEAKER_00bond. I ain't going to say that. Why they put all that in bonds? and fluid in them like
SPEAKER_01that.
SPEAKER_00Well, they should have took them down to John's funeral
SPEAKER_01home.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Oh, then who did the hair?
SPEAKER_01And I'm telling you like. I don't need all that. I need the actual people that I know rock with me and I cared about and love to actually be there with me and actually celebrating me at that time. And, you know, I don't really want to be a part of that fakeness. So, okay, if you would have a celebration of life, would you not do a funeral at all? or would you do both?
SPEAKER_00Nah, give me the celebration of life and then cremate me and take some of my ashes, you know, put a little bit in the ocean. You know, if I have grandkids at the time, make them a little pendant with it, you know, and keep it moving.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I'm skipping the funeral. I don't want the funeral. I want my daughters to know, hey, just let them know, hey, don't even worry about doing this funeral. Save yourself that money. We do the celebration of life before I'm gone, and I'll get that all out. And, you know, like, I don't know if you saw the new Coming to America. Yeah. Yeah. They did that for King. I thought that was real dope how they did that. Mine ain't going to definitely be that big, but nothing that grand. It's just the thought process behind it. Like I said, just being there with the people you love and care about you and you know really rock with you versus just having all of that fakeness around you when you're gone. I would definitely want to have the celebration of life versus the funeral and skip the funeral completely for me. Don't even bother with wasting that money on that. I home. Yeah, people tell us what y'all think. Give us y'all take on it. Would you rather have a celebration of life or would you rather have a funeral still and just, you know, have people looking over you while you in that casket going and you don't know what it is they feel about you or don't feel about you because you ain't here to hear it. So, yeah, give us y'all take on that. Hit up the Facebook page. Let us know what y'all thinking. Oh, with that being said, Renita, how are you feeling today? Got any shout outs you want to give before we get out of here?
SPEAKER_00Okay, first off, I want to shout out. I'm religious or whatever. I want to shout out the Most High God. Shout out the Most High God, God, God, God. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. Praise him. Praise him. Shout him out. Shout him out. Got to shout him out. Shout him out.
SPEAKER_01What the? Oh, I'm sorry. sorry God you know you still working on me a little bit but she just took me out I don't know where that just came from she just gave God a whole shout out like we was on a BET award show alright I'm gonna give a real shout out shout out to Digital Bass Digital Bass Media Group where we recording at today and always make sure y'all check out the digital base media group if you need to book anything get anything recorded you got any type of videos or audios you want to get recorded come on over to digital base and check them out man they got some good stuff over here for you so definitely come check it out all right we're gonna get out of here this has been the feed watchers shining out
