We have a lotttt to catch up on!! From moving into our own places, discussing how 1D fanfic shaped Rachel into the person she is today, Love Story, and our thoughts on our Bravo shows!!

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we can't stare at ourselves the whole time. Guys, we're in a studio, like a legit studio.

SPEAKER_01

And they're just screaming right there that sees us, and we're just like we've been just Mogging.

SPEAKER_00

Is that what you called it? We've been mogging to ourselves just this entire time. I only learned what mogging was because you told me I was mogging at on Valentine's Day. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The last time we went out, it was on Valentine's Day. And Lizzie, I will give it to you. You looked fantastic. And if personally, if I looked like that, I would be mogging too. I would be mogging the entire club. Mogging means being so hot that you make your friends look ugly. That's what mogging means. It's actually a compliment. Like, oh my god, my best friend moged me. Like she served face so well that like you noticed me. I'm pretty sure. I hope well, but she was she was standing there the way she was dancing. Like you could tell she was feeling herself.

SPEAKER_00

But I mean, she she was I actually wasn't. I was I was trying to pretend to. So yeah, right.

SPEAKER_01

I mean seriously, dude. Y'all, the way she was dancing up against this one table was unreal. It was so funny for like two hours straight.

SPEAKER_00

You're such a hater. You're genuinely hating. Not hating, you look such a hater.

SPEAKER_01

It was really funny watching it happen. Okay, yeah. So you're a hater.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, we haven't done this in so long. We haven't done this ever, actually. No, we've I'm talking about like recording.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's been a while.

SPEAKER_00

I know. What have you been up to?

SPEAKER_01

Dude, so much. I hosted a chili cook-off. And yeah, chili cook-off ran my life for a couple weeks, which is weird to say, but it was actually really fun. It's for a nonprofit. So we lose a lot of money. But we also moved since our last podcast. We separated. We did separate. She got custody of Girly.

SPEAKER_00

Well, she's my dog's meeting. Girly is I don't have custody of her right now. She's at mom's house.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You abandoned her.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I didn't abandon her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She went to go spend the night and mom had mom wanted to keep her.

SPEAKER_01

Because I freaking love that dog. It's been very weird looking by myself, but I'm not gonna lie, now that I'm settling in, I kind of like it.

SPEAKER_00

Living by yourself is great.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's pretty fantastic. There were a couple things wrong when I moved into the place. Like there's this like back door that has a deadbolt because it kind of goes to this parking lot or whatever, and the lock was missing. Um, so that needs to be replaced.

SPEAKER_00

You're supposed to look at me, not yourself.

SPEAKER_01

You keep looking at your and then my AC started leaking.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, mom said that it was flooding at one point.

SPEAKER_01

It wasn't flooding, but like it was a steady flow. I will say that. Yeah. And but it stopped eventually, and now like they're replacing the part that's broken. I don't even know what's wrong with it.

SPEAKER_00

Every time they talk about it, I'm just like, you know what's nice the fact that you don't have a dog, so people can come into your apartment with you not home. Yeah, like whenever like I've lived in apartments with girly. If maintenance has to come, I have to be there because I have a dog and it's like a whole ordeal with work and everything. So that's a plus of not having a pet in an apartment. Yeah. So something to think about moving forward. Also, you don't have time for a dog.

SPEAKER_01

I don't. We're a man.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Okay, no, moving, moving stuff. Also, speaking of this chili cook-off, if people want to know, let's I don't know, I know what it was for. You think I could put a zin in while we're here? You think that's allowed? When it stops you. Oh, by the way, when I was moving by myself, because no no stop. Because Rachel booked up our parents on chili cook-off for her whatever for chili contest. So I had to move by myself, which is fine. I paid for movers, but still doing it by myself is a lot of work. Correct. So did you, but you also had mom and dad when you did it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was by myself, not the same. Okay, not the same at all. When I was going to move the cats. I got I booked him first. I got to him first. It's selfish. You know I you knew I was moving that day, and you you sneakily were gonna book them up. Well, I didn't because when I told you I was gonna ask dad for help, you had a shitty little eating grin, whatever the F you want to call it. And you're like, oh yeah, they're booked because he's driving generators across the Metroplex.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, the worst part of that.

SPEAKER_00

They didn't even use it. Yeah, you shouldn't have told dad that, by the way. Well, I wanted to be honest. Why? You should have just been like, thanks so much. I did say that.

SPEAKER_01

I said both of those things. I was like, Well, I said you'll never have to do this again because we didn't even use them and we're never gonna book those again. So it won't happen again. At least not for Rachel Cook.

SPEAKER_00

And yeah, and he'd he'd work on it till Monday. He had those generated, whatever. But I'll never move again. I'm dying in this apartment.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Second of all, the amount of contact lenses and zen pouches I found under my couch.

SPEAKER_01

Contact lenses are not me.

SPEAKER_00

They're Caroline, but you don't reach down and you didn't get your zins. I did a lot of them. You well, I don't believe you. I'm sorry. So if you find zins in this podcast studio, they won't. They won't. I wouldn't do it in a public space.

SPEAKER_01

Asshole. I'm too ashamed.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. Yeah, never moving again. I'm still not impact.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I still have a lot because I have two bedrooms and there's a second room that I want to make like an office slash getting ready room. There's a lot of just like random stuff in there. I've started filling up that closet with like my extra nicer clothes. Um, I also want that to be my shoe closet. Um, so that'll be nice having two closets. But yeah, that space isn't. I mean, I don't have Wi-Fi. I don't have like internet space.

SPEAKER_00

You haven't set up Wi-Fi yet?

SPEAKER_01

I've been using my hotspot. Rachel. I have unlimited data, girl. Just order one from I know. I need to. I listen. There's a long list. Me and Chat GBT have been best friends. I know, but there's certain things that I have to prioritize right now, cost-wise. Listen, it doesn't cost anything. It does cost something. Well, it's like 20 to 50 bucks a month. Mary Helen made fun of me at work because she found me asking Chat GBT how to buy internet. She was like, how to buy how to buy internet and how to buy electricity. She was like, How do I buy the whole earth? How to buy the internet.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, I'm telling you, you're so clueless. I can't.

SPEAKER_01

It's bliss.

SPEAKER_00

I seriously don't know how you function. It's concerning. I don't.

SPEAKER_01

I don't. It's organized chaos.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. I FaceTime her last night to help her with like some outfits and stuff. For a bachelorette she's going on.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I forgot about that. But um speaking of bachelorettes, oh. Have you seen what's going on with Dak and his fiancee calling off their engagement?

SPEAKER_01

Is it a rumor? Because it was is is the part where it's about that they wanted to she wanted to do a joint bachelor and bachelorette trip.

SPEAKER_00

They were on a joint bachelor and bachelorette trip. Yeah. And she called it off.

SPEAKER_01

There?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I think so. Yeah. That's what I've gathered. But and she, okay, so this is why I don't know. I've seen I've been served a lot of this content.

SPEAKER_01

She saw something that we don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so listen, I've been served a lot of this content. I don't know why. I don't know if it's a big news.

SPEAKER_01

I thought I was wearing my cowboy sweatshirt for a second. So I was like, ugh.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't know if it's big news everywhere else, or it's just because we're in Dallas. But I first they were saying it's because of like prenup stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Valid.

SPEAKER_00

And then um she like shut that down. And then someone, okay, so they emailed their wedding guest list because they're they're supposed to get married in Lake Como in a month.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And they emailed them and was like, essentially, we're cutting it off, whatever. We ask for your prayers. And someone whoever linked that to TMZ kind of sucks, but um, and then but also thank you. She will like shut down the pre-up rumors, and then they're like a lot of posts are saying sources close to Sarah Jane are saying it's because of ongoing infidelity. So, and I saw some guy who knows who this man is online saying, like, if you have to do joint bachelor and bachelorette trips, there's probably a lack of trust there, unless you have a lot of mutual friends.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was about to say mutual friends, that would be like a funny.

SPEAKER_00

But um, yeah, like everyone was saying, everyone's saying like she called it off on the bachelor and bachelorette trip.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, that's a power move. She did it in front of all their friends, yeah. But that also makes me sad for her because that makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

They have two kids like two babies.

SPEAKER_01

What an idiot.

SPEAKER_00

I feel so bad for her.

SPEAKER_01

I do feel bad for her, but like if I were her, I would have been smarter, I would have married him and took all his token all his money.

SPEAKER_00

Um, no, they probably agreed to some sort of a prenup. Yeah,$240 million contract.

SPEAKER_01

Ugh. Yeah. Yeah, of course. But dude, that sucks. Like the cowboys do themselves no favors. Like, I don't know anything about sports. I don't know. I mean, I know how football works and stuff. I like watching football. The cowboys do themselves no favors. That entire franchise just like Dak, you need to get a grip. Because she's banging. I've seen pictures of her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she's gorgeous. I don't know. It's just a rumor. Like, it could be wrong, but I feel like if she shut that down and then, like, there's a source saying that it was infidelity. Like, if all this stuff was going on and I was mad enough, I would be like, call TMZ.

SPEAKER_01

I would have called it myself. No, I would have, I would have gotten married, have had the bougie ass wedding, taken all the gifts, waited until a certain amount of time, and then it's what he deserves. If he I'm sorry, if you cheat on your wife, it's what you deserve. In my humble opinion. But what should we do?

SPEAKER_00

I can't believe you haven't seen anything of that.

SPEAKER_01

No, I saw I saw that they broke up over a joint bachelorette trip. Like I thought.

SPEAKER_00

They were on it together.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, see, rumors are flying because I heard that it was like he didn't want to do one or something like that. Could have been.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I could be wrong. But yeah, that's I seriously, a month before. You know, things have to be bad if you're doing it a month before.

SPEAKER_01

No, that's sad. I wish I'd have bought no one.

SPEAKER_00

I know, right?

SPEAKER_01

Her name's Sarah Jane.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she's gorgeous.

SPEAKER_01

Of course she is.

SPEAKER_00

Her kids are gorgeous.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, of course she is.

SPEAKER_00

Well, have you watched Terry Styles concert online on Netflix? You have, even with no Wi-Fi?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't watched it yet. I haven't watched it yet. But it's fantastic. I love the new album.

SPEAKER_01

He is okay.

SPEAKER_00

So I also for people who don't know, Rachel lived, lived, breathed, ate, slay, slept, drank One Direction as a child. Yes. Like she was I can't even explain 2010.

SPEAKER_01

They framed me and who I am as a person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. No, Harry Stiles, without no one, whenever they kind of like broke up, and whenever the Zane stuff happened, and it was rumors like, okay, they're gonna break up, it was without a doubt, like Harry is going to be phenomenal. And he was like, even when they were a band, everyone had their favorites, but he was just worldwide. He was even with like like publicity and people promoting them, like he's just like a star. I mean, all of them are, but he's just so talented, and I love his music so much. I'm I'm weird when it comes to new albums. Like it takes a couple listens for for any album to really grow on me. Like, even Life of a Showgirl, I was like, I don't know if that's my favorite. Now I listen to Life of a Showgirl like the entire album every single day because it's my favorite album of hers. His was the same way. Listening to this, I don't know. Maybe I'm just not, I don't have good musical skills or whatever, but I at first I was like, okay, now dance no more's like I listen to that four times a day.

SPEAKER_00

No, dance no more is so good. American girls and very long hair, yeah, hairy styles coated.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, very four-coated, if you know what that is. His fourth album? No, it's One Direction's fourth album.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you very much. Um, and it's funny because the same day that that dropped on Netflix, YouTube made the One Direction documentary, This Is Us, free on YouTube. So I watched that yesterday. I was like, oh my god, they were so little. And yeah, they were so little is whenever they performed Teenage Dirtbag. That's the concert that I went to. Or I might have gone to the one, no, that's the one that I went to.

SPEAKER_00

You went to the one where Five Seconds of Summer opened and then you came back obsessed with five seconds of summer. Yes. I will never forget dad. When dad secured those tickets, Madeline at Bama. I cried. And he told me, Would you rather go to One Direction with Rachel or would you rather go visit Madeline at Bama? And I genuinely, because I, you know, when like your little sister's obsessed with something, I remember like I did enjoy them, but you loved them so much. Where I was like, This is so embarrassing. Like I can't love them because Rachel loves what I was cooking. And then I was like, No, I will go visit Madeline at Bama. Yeah. And fun fun fact, they like, because Madeline was going to do her like tour because she got in and all this stuff. And so they brought me and they put me in this like like future student program or whatever. Like kids who were like interested in going like a smart kid thing. Not like a smart kid thing, but like these were high school. I was talking about college. These were high school. No, no, no, no. These were high school kids I was with who were thinking about applying and like all this stuff, and it's been a whole it was almost like camp almost. And then we had to sit around the circle, and everyone was like a sophomore, a freshman. And I was like, I was in seventh grade. And so I was like, My name's Lizzie Thomas, and I'm in seventh grade. And so all these kids thought I was a genius.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, like a literal genius, because I was there as great as hearing teenage dirtback performed by One Direction Live. No, I wish I don't, I wish I wish I seen them in those tight ass black skinny jeans. I don't think so. They finally got to show their tattoos because they were all in their 20s. I don't fucking think so. I know because you wanted to you wanted to go into Texas AM getting a Maggies, and you had to sit in a stupid high school pre-college orientation saying roll tide, like an idiot.

SPEAKER_00

No, I regret it looking back, but I was just so like anti-Y.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was just like, I'm just gonna go. I'm gonna like be with my big sister. And turns out I was by myself with a bunch of high schoolers in seventh grade.

SPEAKER_01

Fucking loserville.

SPEAKER_00

Being in Loserville. But I will say when they showed me like loser. When they stop staring at yourself, bro. I can't. I can't freak.

SPEAKER_01

I can't. If I don't have mirrors in my house, if I didn't have mirrors in my house, I'd get so much more done, I'm telling you right now.

SPEAKER_00

What are you just sitting there mogging? Yeah. I don't like mogging. I decided.

SPEAKER_01

I'm bogging because no one's there. Listen.

SPEAKER_00

I like serving better. You elder Gen Z.

SPEAKER_01

No, I serve.

SPEAKER_00

But what I was saying, like seeing the dorms and stuff, that's what made me lock in on school.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

It didn't work out because I had to go to Tarleton at first. But anyway, I regret not going with you, but I do think I wouldn't have appreciated as much as Mary Helen did.

SPEAKER_01

No. Mary Helen was also, she she's a believer more like over everything. But she also loved One Direction. I I'll never forget that night because that's one when I discovered Five Seconds of Summer. Two, that's whenever they dropped um the best song ever music video.

SPEAKER_00

And they started like I remember when you showed me that music video and you were like, Lizzie, it's so good. And I watched it and I was like, all right, that's pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

And they started singing it on stage, like just candidly. And then Liam was like, stop, stop, stop, release like all this stuff, and everyone was freaking out, screaming.

SPEAKER_00

And because that was kind of before phones, too. So they could do that at every show and people not be like, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

And that's the night that I told Mary Helen about One Direction fanfic. I was like, Do you not listen? Do you not read Imagines? Do you not know what that is? And it's like POV, and it's like every time Harry says like your name, it's just parentheses your name. And so I showed her, and like we stayed up until like 2 a.m. reading One Direction Fanfic. It was one of the best days of my life. It was one of the best days of my life.

SPEAKER_00

Like I fanfic, where would you find it? Anywhere.

SPEAKER_01

Like, did you Google it? Well, here's the thing is like some of it, because imagine you know how I am when it comes to anything like sexual. I like clan, I get weird. But you were like, no, imagine, no, some of those 12-year-olds were dirty little children.

SPEAKER_00

There weren't 12-year-olds writing that.

SPEAKER_01

There's no way some of them were, anyways.

SPEAKER_00

But but was it on Instagram? Like, I need to.

SPEAKER_01

I found it on Instagram, you can find it on Tumblr, you could find it on Twitter, you could find it. Oh, what was that fanfic site? What is it?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, keep going.

SPEAKER_01

If we asked Carol like Caroline or someone like that, like she would know. But there is a specific site where like people, there are people who you know that that movie with um Ann Hathaway and What's His Face, where she starts dating a superstar? Yes. That is based off of a Harry Styles fanfic.

SPEAKER_00

You're lying.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, there are people who became published authors from One Direction fanfic, not just one.

SPEAKER_00

What 12-year-old is writing about dating a mere like him marrying an older lady.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, they're five seconds of summer fanfic was a thing. Like any anyone who like loved a celebrity would create fanfic about them. And it's essentially these fans who create stories. They're obviously fiction, right? Fan fiction. And they would create scenarios with their favorite pop stories. Wattpad.

unknown

Wattpad.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, Wattpad was literally I lived on Wattpad.

SPEAKER_00

And Dark Stall, Forbidden Piper, spotlight.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's yeah. And so I a lot of them were like, oh my gosh, you go to a show and you're like so interested in this stupid pop group. You're just there with your stupid little sister, and you're wearing like black skinny jeans and a ripped tank talk and tip a ripped tank top and a flannel, and you're reading a book in the crowd because you're so uninterested. And then Harry points you out in a crowd and they pull you backstage and then you fall in love and then you go on tour with them. That was a pretty typical one. A lot of them would start when you're already dating them. So it's just like day in the life being Louie Tomlinson's girlfriend. Totally. And it was awesome. Did you ever think they read any? I know they knew about it because they talked about some of them were kind of weird. I mean, personally, power in their shows would be like that's really odd. So interesting. And like the way they would talk about Harry Styles, they wouldn't call him. It's honestly so creative because we didn't eyes, they would call them his green orbs. His orbs. He glared at you with his piercing green orbs. Was it line with Harry a lot? And Zayn was like always the bad boy, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It was awesome. Zayn is totally a bad boy. Yeah, he is. He's totally. We don't need to talk about that because listen, one thing I will not do is badmouth any one direction member ever. Yeah. And the chances that they're a guest on the plot. Right. Right. I think it can happen to Brittany Bosker. It can happen to anyone. She, I look up to her so much because she's also an aggy. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Glock it. Okay. It's so funny you bring Glock it. It's so funny you bring this up because I watched, I always known she is because gigs, right?

SPEAKER_02

I love her.

SPEAKER_00

But I've never, here's the thing about me, like I we've I've talked about this on a pod before. I like see something and I don't investigate. Like I take it for what it is and I'm not curious. I feel like I'm not a curious person. Right. And so I'm trying to fix that. So I'm better be able to like talk about things for her. Because I'm like, yeah, I saw that. It's like I'm on to the next. Yeah. But so I was like, no, I need to actually like invest in her more because she's worth investing in. And so I saw Harry Styles Royal Court. She did a great job, but I was like, I want to like see more. And then I saw the one with Marcelo's. So because he's so funny. He's hilarious.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He's the internet's boyfriend. So funny. He's one of my. And I she's she's funny.

SPEAKER_01

She's hilarious. Yeah, she's born with it.

SPEAKER_00

She's born with it. I wish I could think that quickly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Genuinely.

SPEAKER_01

And she's hilarious. She deserves Harry Styles. She had Harry Styles and a crown and elf ears on a podcast. Like that is an unreal amount of power. Like I don't know if we have that kind of thing. And I think that's one reason I also love him so much is like he's also like, you can tell he's a pretty normal person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Got it.

SPEAKER_00

Walking around New York with Lenny Kravitz's daughter. I know. So rock star. He is such a rockstar. Fuck ass sunglasses, but I'll let it slide.

SPEAKER_01

And he started by working in a bakery. Have you ever seen his? Um I like serve. I serve like cakes instead of a bakery. God. I love him so much. And like in the This Is Us documentary that I just re-watched, it's the it shows like all of their auditions and stuff. Did you know that Liam auditioned twice? He was on the show twice. Oh wow. X Factor twice. Yeah. He was there once when he was 14. He made it really far. And then they were narrowing down all the men, and they actually like disqualified all of the members of One Direction first. And then they pulled all of the disqualified boys, men, back and pulled them five. Harry, Niall, Louie, Liam, Zane. Right. And we're like, we're gonna make y'all a group. And did you know that Harry Styles like gave the producers of X Factor? Like he went off on them and was like, oh, y'all just had to disqualify us to make good TV and all this stuff, just picking on a bunch of little boys, like giving them lip because they like disqualified them before making them a group.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That seems very unlike him.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. He was emotional.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But they didn't even win the X Factor. Did you know that? No. They didn't even win. And then One Direction fans, being who we are, made it a point to like, no, they are going to be huge. And they started because it was X Factor UK. So they blew up there. And then the this is us is whenever they were kind of going international. And that tour was 130-something shows long. All of them are like younger than us, I think. Yeah. They're like young. But yeah, they were in their frat boy phase. Like Harry was just starting to grow. Like, there's people who show clips of him at the beginning of that tour and how his voice drops by the end of it. And he's like a man. And all of them just wear less and less clothes and get more and more tattoos. Oh my god. It's I don't know. And here's what the documentary said, and this will be the last thing that I said.

SPEAKER_00

No, I no, please keep going.

SPEAKER_01

The way that they would produce their music was very intentional. They're like, yes, they're a pop group and they're a boy band, but they were very against doing like choreography and dances and stuff. They had like soft choreography where they're like, okay, you're all gonna come sing and over here and then all this stuff, but staging. Staging, right? But the way they produce their music, it was very intentional that it's like, yes, they're a pop group, but they put a little bit of that like edgy like rock behind it. So it's like they're a pop group, but you can tell like they're like a little bit, they're bad boys, yeah. Right, yeah. And they produced the song Rock Me. Yeah, and their primary demographic was 12 to 15 year old girls.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like I remember Rock Me.

SPEAKER_01

Ugh, yeah, I remember it every day.

SPEAKER_00

So that's Sobey's favorite One Direction song. I'm like, Sobey, do you know this? Jesus Lot. And a douchebag.

SPEAKER_01

It is probably her favorite One Direction song. You know what is funny because me and my coworker were joking about how their song Little Things, you know that song? Yeah, where they basically just sing about a girl's all of her insecurities, like, you still have to squeeze into your jeans. Oh my god! Like they literally call her fat. And they're like, but you're perfect to me. Like we would cry. I listened to that song live and I sobbed. That Nile came in. Yeah, when you're literally even though I had to squeeze it, squeeze into my jeans, yeah. Or probably third generation passed down to me. Yeah. But they are they're perfect.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I agree. They're perfect. I wish I appreciated them more in their time.

SPEAKER_01

I fucking love what direction do. I love them so much, and I love what Harry Styles is doing right now.

SPEAKER_00

It makes me because like I feel like when I think about my childhood, this is gonna sound bad. Like, we weren't we didn't spend that much time together, and I'm always like, what did Rachel do? Now I know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I built a lot of forts with Mark, and then I would go home and read One Direction fanfics. I remember um, oh my god, what's that song? One time Madeline was driving me around and she was like, Oh, I actually really liked the song, and it was a One Direction song.

SPEAKER_00

And you were like, Huh?

SPEAKER_01

And I was like, Oh my god, my older sister likes One Direction.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, did you and Madeline ever like hang out when you were kids?

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes, yeah, because you know, listen, I feel like you were just easy.

SPEAKER_00

You were simple, you were there for a good time, not a long time. Like you were just you were unproblematic. Yeah, I remember you truly were unproblematic.

SPEAKER_01

There was one time where like Madeline and one of her friends um picked me up from like cheer or something, and they were like dropping F-bombs in the front seat, and her friend turned around and was like, Oh god, like I'm so sorry. And Madeline was like, Don't worry, she's chill. And I was like, Fuck yeah. I'm so chill.

SPEAKER_00

I was not chill.

SPEAKER_01

No, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was not chill.

SPEAKER_01

You know when Madeline had zero percent chill in your body.

SPEAKER_00

No, I was problematic. I gave, yeah. I was just telling, I forgot who else.

SPEAKER_01

You just wanted everyone to be as angry as you were.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't want everyone to be as angry as me. I just wanted to be understood. Yeah, you just wanted everyone to do better. I wanted I still do, and I wanted people to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it, yeah, how I wanted it to be done. Yeah, I still want those things. For sure. So you missed out. You didn't know I didn't, you didn't realize my worth in the moment. I did, but I feel like I had that obsession with like Hannah Montana. I was just I was such a girly pop. Like I was never I never bought into the boys ballad. Like I was just such a girly pop. I still am to the stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I will say it's it's pretty off-brand for me to be obsessed with boys that much. Um, I'm sorry. You were I feel like you were very boy crazy for a while. I was.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But not when I was a little kid. I I thought I was one of the guys.

SPEAKER_00

Theory, do you think the reason why you were kind of boy crazy in high school and stuff in your adolescence is because you're so boy crazy with one direction? No, but I will say Did mom and dad ever like acknowledge the fact you were so boy crazy, or did they just give up at that point?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, really?

SPEAKER_00

I mean both. Really? Like, how so? I'm seriously, I'm learning so much about you. Like, I did not, I'm so in my own world.

SPEAKER_01

Like what I will say is I was so in my own little world and very innocent, and then I started cheerleading. And I think cheerleading being around a bunch of other girls who were also boycrazy, not that it's like their fault and stuff, yeah, but like for something you also might not know about me is when I first started cheer, the first ever team that I was on, I was the youngest one on my team and I was cheering with 18-year-olds. So girls who are talking about like partying and going to college and stuff, and because I was pretty good at cheer, I was kind of always like that. Like even when I got to high school, I was I would compete with like the older girls, and so and I had older sisters, so I feel like I heard a lot about like boys and I feel like you and Madeline were the most like boy centered.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I would I would say.

SPEAKER_01

I was more so than Madeline. Yeah, Madeline. I think because she was a like is like blonde haired, blue-eyed baddie, and she was like new to the school district, like all that stuff. Like, I think boys just like flocked to her, you know what I mean? But I think as soon as I started cheer and I realized that boys were a thing, and it's funny because like we joked about that Duke Tip program thing that we found. Oh yeah. Yeah, we were going through our mom has these like bins that are like shrines for us, but in tub aware bins in our attic, and I was going through it and I found papers. Like, I don't know if this is like a known thing, but like Duke Tip is basically where like if your testing scores are so good for like standardized testing that you can take like the SAT. And I qualified for that. And I remember like our grandparents knew about all this stuff. Our parent, my parents thought I was going to freaking Harvard, and like the next year is when I started cheerleading, and then I, you know, I just was trying to get out of there. I mean, I still ended up getting into AM, but yeah, cheerleading and figuring out that boys were a thing or a direct correlation of me not taking school seriously anymore.

SPEAKER_00

That wasn't my question.

SPEAKER_01

I was just I think one direction caused the boy craziness. I think it awakened, like, oh wow, I'm attracted to this person.

SPEAKER_00

They were your sexual awakening? Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They were, they were probably, it's like them and Justin Bieber are probably the significant majority of girls my age like their sexual awakening.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think mine was either Jesse McCartney or no, mine was cheaper by the dozen.

SPEAKER_01

Oh mine was probably like Chad Michael Murray in the Cinderella spinoff with Hillary.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, mine was definitely cheaper by the dozen. I remember being like, woohoo.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Chad Michael Murray is probably the definition of my type. Really? Or it was for a really long time. Like blondes, tall blondes. Yeah. Ugh. I know. Blondes are evil. Yeah, One Direction is a part of me. I can see that. It's like a part of who I am. Ask any girl who is a directioner. It was like kind of like Beatlemania, right? It had a little bit of that effect. Yeah. Seriously. I agree. I go right, go watch One Direction. This is Us.

SPEAKER_00

I agree. You will see it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And they're like, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mentioned Harry Styles and Hannah Vias starts like tearing up.

unknown

Oh my god, I love her so much.

SPEAKER_00

I know. Could you imagine being an only daughter, only child's and only daughter, who got to be obsessed with One Direction? She was like, I made my mom listen to it every single morning. Like I went to the concerts, like she did it all.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I was there with her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's so so funny.

SPEAKER_01

I made a sign that says, four British boys stole my heart, and one Irish boy ate it. Because the joke about Niall is that he was like, he had this insane appetite. Like that was something that their like crew talked about in interviews. Like, oh my god, like Niall, because he's an I Irish one can eat like so much. And so it was a joke amongst fans that like he, like such a big strong boy, had a huge appetite.

SPEAKER_00

I know his day's coming up soon. St. Pataday say we need to figure out what we're gonna do. I um I have an outfit picked, just no plans. I'm not going to the block party.

unknown

Everyone's going to the block party.

SPEAKER_00

Mary Helen said she wants to go too, but Mary, like, no, no. Remember last year? I do. It was terrible. We could barely walk. And then the year before was flood. We were getting poured on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I wish one of us owned a home that we could have like a house party at.

SPEAKER_01

I remember last year because the day before that block party, I went on a date with a man who was shorter than me and lied about his height on hinge. So I went on a date with a leprechaun and that celebrated about not Valentine's Day.

SPEAKER_00

I saw this TikTok of a girl being like, next time I see a guy wearing boots, I'm gonna say I like your heels. It's so valid, but isn't that isn't that crazy to lie about your height like that? The guy I went on a date with definitely lied about size. He said he was 6'3 and I was wearing little kitten heels, and he was not that much taller than me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, listen. Saying you're 6'3 when you're actually 6'1, that's one thing. Saying you're 5'10, 5'11 when you're 5'6 going on a date with a girl who's 5'6 and probably gonna wear heels. Like, don't be dumb. There are there are tiny little girls who will love you so much. But like the humili, I felt like big chungus on that date, you know, and he was a perfectly nice guy, but it's like, dude, you're setting yourself up to fail. You're not getting a second date when I'm looking down at you. Literally. He tried to do the thing where it's like, you know, when guys will be like, here, let me walk in between you and the street. And it's like, the fuck are you gonna do for me? What are you gonna do? Like it was so embarrassing. I really hope he doesn't see this, but it's like, just do better.

SPEAKER_00

You wear your big boots.

SPEAKER_01

You could also wear boots.

SPEAKER_00

And you were wearing your stompers?

SPEAKER_01

No, I was wearing tennis shoes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, no way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so he's probably like five, six, five, five. I'm like five, six, five, seven, five, seven in these big boys wearing hokas.

SPEAKER_00

Hokas. Those are not hokas, those are Nikes. These are hokas. There's an N. No. Or maybe they're new balances. Those are new balances.

SPEAKER_01

New balance, yeah. They're new balances. Anyways, I was wearing flat tennis shoes, and he was wearing cowboy boots, and he was my higher or shorter than me. That's crazy. It was very crazy.

SPEAKER_00

It's crazy because you're not that tall. But it's okay. It's okay if you're not that tall as a man.

SPEAKER_01

I know. No, it's okay. You just need to be honest. That's true. Stop putting us big girls in a comfy situation.

SPEAKER_00

You're not a big girl. Like you are the definition of average. Like you're not saying, like, you are average height.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Like you are not like you're not a tall girl.

SPEAKER_01

Like, you're not a tall girl. If it were up to me, I'd wear heels every single day. I love stompers. If I had worn those stompers, I would have been six inches taller than him. I'd have been like, what's going on here? I would have left. Yeah. Oh my gosh. I know it was pretty bad. So, men everywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Men of America. That is not your camera. That is your reflection. That is your camera. Stop staring at yourself, bro. It's such a problem.

SPEAKER_01

You're talking to me and you're like, okay, well, go watch the first episode because there's a mirror to this side of here.

SPEAKER_00

There's this right here, and I'm not staring at it the whole time.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, continue on. Men of America, stop lying about your height. It's unethical and unnecessary.

SPEAKER_00

It's fraud. It is fraud.

SPEAKER_01

It's really weird.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think JFK Jr. lied about his height?

SPEAKER_01

I think he probably lied about a lot. I don't think he had. Listen, he's hot and he's related to politicians. He's a liar. I mean, I never met him first. Getting into some hot water here. I was just trying to transition.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not running for office. Okay. But transition into the love story because I caught up on it. I didn't have Wi-Fi for a week, crashed out on Verizon. No longer Verizon Wi-Fi user, unfortunately. Like lost a new customer. I will say that.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I'm saying. You could rob this girl blindly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you could steal from me every month, and I would never know. Yeah, would never know. But I need to cancel it myself.

SPEAKER_01

You're so stupid.

SPEAKER_00

I know. You were so stupider.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I was about to say, maybe just transfer it to me.

SPEAKER_00

Huh. Interesting. Um, anyway, what I was saying is I was like crashing out because I couldn't keep up with my shows. Like I was so behind programs, couldn't watch my programs, couldn't do anything because I did not have good service, but I ended up ordering from ATT because Hannah, I she slid up on my close over my fence to story because I was crashing out. She was like, just get just use ATT. And so I ordered it and it was simple as could be, but I caught up on everything. Good. Love story, they kind of lost me.

SPEAKER_01

I did you hear the controversy around it that apparently it's a big fat lie?

SPEAKER_00

I hear, yeah. I mean, I think a lot of people I saw a clip of the toast. I was watching a little, I saw a clip and then I watched a little bit of the episode. Like, and they mentioned how it was live because when I'm listening to podcasts, I don't like fully listen because I'm working, but I don't know where the people have been like, this is a lie. I think Carol, uh not Carolyn said. Raswell, what's her name? He was on the roll housewives and one of her best friends was like, This is or was saying, like, no, his nephew.

SPEAKER_01

Right, but also related to him, literally came out and said, if you want to see something that is a complete lie about him, then watch the documentary.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like personal, I personally, it's probably a big it's probably very, very overdramatized, but it's based on I think what it is genuinely, what I can understand is that there's nothing, you can't find anything about Carolyn Bassett. She was that private.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

She has a couple 30-second interviews where she's like, Yeah, I had fun time, like, whatever. You don't know when nobody knows anything about her.

SPEAKER_01

That's so cool.

SPEAKER_00

And the stuff that people have so many people who knew her say like different things. So I think it's hard to like create a show based off of contradicting things. JFK, there's a lot of things about him, but at the same time, again, like he is a politician or from a politician family, political family. Like, he knows how to turn it on for the cameras. And he's very like whiny in the show, like very much a big, big baby. Which maybe I could see, but I have watching it, I'm like, okay, like I'm not taking this for fact because they were so private that we don't really know. And I think the people truly close to them would not give up that information because it was just, you know.

SPEAKER_01

I have seen though that there's they call it the JFK Jr. effect in New York. Like guys are starting to dress like that and they've had look-alike contests, and men are starting to-so silly. Men are starting to wear roller skates everywhere now. Like, please. That's not roller skates.

SPEAKER_00

I I had a slam on my brakes today. Um, I was on Knox, and a guy was going on the Katie Trail, and he was like, Stop! And he was like on his rollerblades, shirtless, but he wasn't, he didn't look like that.

SPEAKER_01

What about the skateboards?

SPEAKER_00

They should men shouldn't be on wheels. Correct. Men shouldn't be on wheels. Correct. Men on wheels is very dangerous. No men on wheels. But anyway, like I was really liking it and to the point where you can tell when they're seen like truly by themselves as their relationship. Like, I I was just watching it. I'm like, I just doubt that this is how they were. Yeah, I doubt it. Yeah, I doubt Carolyn was that, like, you know, she's kind of quirky. I don't know, she's kind of acting like quirky and she's always biting her lip and flipping her. I'm like, she doesn't give me that vibe. She gives me as a very structured individual.

SPEAKER_01

I think there's probably like one or two clips of her in real life, like the actual Carolyn Bassette flipping her hair like that, and they made it like a thing in the show. So I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, there's nothing I can't find anything like truly online about her, but yeah. Anyway, they kind of lost me this episode because it was just like I don't know, like it was just not it wasn't hard to believe. I don't even know what it was that it just wasn't like as good as the first ones.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like sometimes with people who were famous, specifically like pre-social media era, these documentaries come out and they release information about them, and it's just like I feel like it would have been better if we'd have just left it alone because they were already iconic figures before the show. And you know, I think like her yeah, her style and his style, and how cool they were.

SPEAKER_00

He was just he was iconic, yeah. And so I understand the want to do it, but maybe like I don't know. How long is the series? How many shows? I caught up the last one I just watched was the wedding. I think it was like five or six, maybe. I don't know. This is just from my memory, and maybe there's like a couple more after that, yeah. But like after their wedding, like their wedding, again, their wedding was so private. Nobody at that wedding is really gonna talk about it. So that's probably what happened. And I also think the reason why his nephew is so like passionate about it being wrong and leaving his family out of it is just because I think his he probably absorbs a lot of that from his mom, who suffered a lot of tragedy and a lot of trauma for being so public. This is just my theory.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, I think that's probably why he's I can imagine it's frustrating.

SPEAKER_01

Like, imagine if we're in that scenario. Like, we're not from a political family. Imagine, you know, someone is, you know, an icon or whatever in our family, but they're a very private person, and there's constant controversy surrounding us, and then someone makes a documentary that makes him look like a little weeny whiny baby. Like, that's an after they've died tragically. Yeah, like that's really frustrating. I would be frustrated too. I'd be like, what are you doing? All to make money. That was his point. He was like, he did all of this, like made all this shit up, some of it that makes them look bad and our family look bad for ultimately, and he's you know, a millionaire because of it. And it's like it's great that it brings hype and like respect back to because I see a lot of like TikToks and stuff for him and her, like that are in a positive light, like, oh my gosh, they were so cool. I like their style and like all this stuff. So I do think there are positive effects, but I can imagine it being very frustrating when it's like you see very private conversations that are not in a good light of them that never happened. It's like, what is the point of adding that just for success and money? Like that's kind of a weird, that's a weird aspect to Hollywood, is that people will just make stuff up and assume from rumors that they've heard from people who may or may not know them and then make a scene or like it's just kind of weird.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, I also think we're in an age where like we always have to second guess if something's real or fake. 100%. Like even to items. 100%. So it's interesting. But other TV I caught up on. I caught up on Bridgerton again, like did not wow me. I'm Never gotten on the Bridgerton church. Listen, I love a rom-com. I love that time frame. I love the fashion evolve. But this storyline, I just like wasn't into it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I appreciate the message they were trying to send, like on classes. You know, he falls in love with a maid and she's illegitimate in a bit. She comes from a man who's noble, and it's like this whole thing. And I don't know. Like it just didn't grasp me.

SPEAKER_01

Do you it it doesn't seem a little forced?

SPEAKER_00

It said it seemed a little forced. Like they I don't feel like they had a good connection. I also think like I can, but I also understand why they're doing this. Like they have a lot of other storylines going on. The first few seasons have just been like the main love story. I don't know if they're trying to wrap it up and try to like you know launch new siblings, or like I guess I can see how they're like planting the seeds of other siblings for other seasons and stuff, but I don't know. I don't want it to seem like I'm being judgmental, but I just did. I I it didn't hit. It didn't hit, and I was expecting Benedict to I just I don't know who I would have thought, but I just didn't it didn't hit. I didn't hit it. It was very Cinderella vibes. Okay. So like she was illegitimate, illegitimate, and then he got remarried and had two daughters, and then he died, and she made her become the maid and made profit off of his will because she kept her on. Like it's very, very Cinderella vibes. And so it was kind of just like we've seen it before. Okay, we know, like we know they're gonna end up together, but it's just like it was tired.

SPEAKER_01

Two shows. Well, let's talk two shows that have been hitting hard Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Southern Charm.

SPEAKER_00

Summer House has been going hard too. Oh my god, summer house is like Summer House is like cooking up. Can you believe so Southern Charms finale is this week? That's this they just filmed the reading. Did you see Madison LaCroix's reunion outfit? No, she looks insane.

SPEAKER_01

God, what an icon.

SPEAKER_00

What an icon to look like that after two kids. I don't even look like that now, bro.

SPEAKER_01

You look fantastic now. But yeah, I love, love, love her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's very like the season is all Craig. Like, I'm just kind of ugh, I don't want to be negative about the TV, but Vanita is definitely poking the bear for sure. She has to she started something out of thin air.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She truly started something out of nowhere. Right. And she drives me nuts when she, you know, starts something, and then when they give it back to her, she like storms off her acts as a victim. It's just annoying.

SPEAKER_01

Like, yeah, if you're gonna start it.

SPEAKER_00

Stand on her two feet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Same, she did the same thing with Sally too.

SPEAKER_01

And I will say, like, Vanita, especially when she first came on the show, Vanita is cool just on her own with like the fashion and stuff that she does. So I don't know. I think she needs a storyline for sure, though.

SPEAKER_00

And that's what Because last last year, like I got it. It was JT. Like, she but even when she was like talking about JT, like Sally like looked at her phone and she was like, What did you saw? Like, what do you want to talk about? Like, she kind of like forced it a little bit. Yeah. But at the same time, I do feel bad because maybe she doesn't feel like super connected with the group. I think she feels very connected with Sally, so she needs to lean in on that. Yeah, because people love Sally because Sally makes great TV. Yeah. She needs to lean in on that. Stop picking on Craig. Like, we all know how Craig's gonna react.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think we would have rather like I think we would have rather maybe like she she probably did have these conversations, you know, with her, but maybe she had them off camera and all this stuff. But I think we would have rather seen, like, we would have rather seen her have the hard like girl, girlfriend conversations with Sally. Be like, listen, girl, like I'm still your friend, I'll stick by your side no matter what. But like that man does not care about you and all this stuff. Because how many girls have had that conversation like with their friend? Like it happens all the time. So I think doing that would have resonated better than being like, I can't be your friend. Because like, how many times have we had a friend?

SPEAKER_00

I've been that friend majority of our friends.

SPEAKER_01

Have a boyfriend who's not only an asshole, but has been an asshole to us. Yeah. And you just like you just have to let them figure it out. But it's like you're you're gonna tell them what they need to hear no matter what, but you're still gonna be their friend because that's that's I feel like what girlfriends are supposed to do. I think what Vanita did is she made it to where it's like, if this person has an issue with me and you're friends with them, then I'm no longer your friend. And that's just that's not adult life, I fear.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, it's it's really really dumb. But yeah, other than like that's really the only thing going on with Southern Charm. Well, because like Sheps being super chill, Austin, like he kind of popped off. Oh, it looks like he's gonna pop off on Craig on the finale. Probably talking about how Miseral's life is, but he just went through a breakup with P.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, but that's that's what's so frustrating about those two guys. And I'm this is why I'm kind of getting tired. And I made this comment to you. I think the reason why Southern Charm is so big is because the girlies who watch Bravo, it becomes very naturally to us to talk shit about men. And so when you have these guys who are gorgeous, have a lot of money, and have, you know, every excuse and opportunity to be a cool guy, instead they choose to act like teenagers. Yeah, that's so easy to talk shit about. I think what's frustrating with those two specifically is ever since their beef has started, it's always you're so miserable in your life. And it's like, no, like actually address what the problem is because the more I see them fight, the more I kind of think it's a Vanita situation where it's like you you say you're miserable in your life and that you can't stand this person, this person is your number one hater, but then people see y'all out in clubs together in Charleston, like all the time. You know what I mean? So it's like they argue constantly, but like they're best friends. So I just I don't know. The Austin Craig stuff, they just like to, they just like to yell and they like drama. They're big old drama queens. And that's what I think it is. I think it's an attention thing. Like, oh my god, this Austin slash Craig is so miserable in his own life that he has to tear me down. Like, no, you're both miserable and you're both threatened by each other because girls fight over you at the same time. Like the same girls who want to get with Austin or Craig eventually want to get with the other person, hence Sally. Like first you want to get with Craig, and now at the end of the show, she's going on Austin, which is like, girl, do your thing. But I don't know. I just they're starting to drive me nuts. It's getting tired. You think? In my opinion, yeah, because I'm sorry, like Craig freaking exploding on them in the van, and then being like, oh, sorry, I did one thing wrong all season. Like, dude, just say sorry. He'll he never will. No, he never will. He never will. He's a lawyer and a storyteller, and he never will. But yeah, I just I think Sally is gonna get it together. I'm holding out for her because I see her potential. I love her. I love her too.

SPEAKER_00

She can be annoying, but like she makes good TV, she's gorgeous.

SPEAKER_01

And I respect that she standing firm. Did the embarrassing things in front of people and like owns it because after he did that, she was like, actually, no, I don't like him. And you know, like at least Austin has never talked to her that way.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like Well Austin, I feel like is to my recollection, he's never been like mean. Yeah, the way that he talks to Craig, he would never talk to the girls.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I've never really slept for a little bit when they were breaking up, but he's never like screamed at a girl.

SPEAKER_00

Like he's not he's never been like he's just kind of whiny. He is kind of whiny.

SPEAKER_01

He talks shit, he talks mad shit.

SPEAKER_00

He is a girl, he's a girl, but um, Summerhouse needs start cooking up. Do you think we're gonna see anything with Kyle and Amanda's divorce?

SPEAKER_01

No, because she said publicly that they decided to get a divorce three days before they posted that thing. So I don't think we will. Yeah, but they've been living separately for a while, and that was a I bet we'll see them make the decision to live separately or talk about it. I don't think we'll see them talk about it.

SPEAKER_00

I think the season will end with them like really rocky 100% because that's where it was, right? But I'm saying, like, I think I wouldn't be surprised if you know it's gonna be like we don't know where they're gonna end up. Or I could see them being like, we're gonna make it like whatever. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I could see them ending the season and being I don't see, I just it's probably so hard to be producers. I know they're smart, they always come in at the last second with exactly what you want to see. Yeah, they make you hold on all season for what you want to see. I think it's gonna be at the very end of the season, or they probably sent crews out there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they probably they probably didn't.

SPEAKER_01

They're probably gonna include footage from way past filming ended, kind of like what they did with Vanderpump whenever the Raquel situation happened, and with Paige and Craig. Yeah, so I think they're gonna send crews out, they probably sent crews out there, but they're not gonna air it until it's gonna be like a two-part finale and like all that stuff, or like a two, yeah. It's gonna be a twofer.

SPEAKER_00

Twofer.

SPEAKER_01

It's definitely gonna be a twofer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but she's gonna have a page moment for sure. I think this is gonna launch her into like iconic, but she's kind of she's trying to play it down. I wouldn't want to be talking about my divorce either. But yeah, her whole thing. But she's posting a lot more, like she I follow her, and she has never really been like people change, but she all she made a comment.

SPEAKER_01

She was like, Everyone wants this Ariana Maddox situation. She was like, but that's not what happened, like it was devastating, and like we were on the same page and stuff like that. So I don't think it's gonna be, you know, I don't think she's going on Broadway, but I do think I don't think she is either.

SPEAKER_00

I never guessed that.

SPEAKER_01

I do. She's gonna have she's gonna have a glow-up moment for sure. Yeah, I think page moment is a great way to describe it. So I think you were right whenever you said that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I love her. She's sorry for the slurp if y'all just heard that. Yeah, she's always been cool.

SPEAKER_01

I was feeling great today, and now I'm starting to feel like yeah, whatever's in the air in Dallas, Texas needs to get it's just because it's it's like it's spring.

SPEAKER_00

I get sick every spring because of what's going on in the air, like, and we're exhausted. Well, I realize I was thinking about today, like, okay, soon I'll be able. I say this I feel like every week. Like, okay, like a rest weekend's coming up. Like, I'm gonna have a weekend where I'm chill. And I never maybe the end of March, but I I bet you something's gonna pop up. But we gotta send it while we can, right? But I'm I'm getting thick.

SPEAKER_01

You're not getting thick.

SPEAKER_00

I feel thick.

SPEAKER_01

I'm going to get skinny over the next three months because I am on a very strict high protein diet.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, Rachel called me yesterday talking about how she's locking in, and I genuinely almost peed my pants. It's different. Because it's different this time.

SPEAKER_01

I want to know what's different this time. Not that I'm just That's the difference. The difference is I look at myself and I'm pissed.

SPEAKER_00

You shouldn't be look how pretty you look at me. I know I'm pretty.

SPEAKER_01

I know I know I'm pretty.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

I know I'm pretty, but I just I'm not healthy. Okay. I mean, the difference is I'm pissed. That's the difference, really. We have a trip coming up. We're going to the Bahamas. Right. And I'm going to. I also I saw Sally in that episode whenever they were in.

SPEAKER_00

She's my motivation in Madison. She can bounce back like that after a baby.

SPEAKER_01

Can bet your ass I'd be acting a fool if I looked like that. Yeah. Um, but yeah, the difference is this time, it's like I it just feels different. Because it's kind of just always been this ongoing, like, oh my god, like I hate the way I look, like I don't like the way I feel. Yeah. But now it's like, I don't like the way I feel. I have this insane vacation coming up. I'm 24, I'm turning 25 after that. Like my age is kind of in top of mine, which is ridiculous. I'm gonna listen to this when I'm 30 something.

SPEAKER_00

And I think about it all the time too.

SPEAKER_01

But it's like, no, this is the last point of my life where the last era of my life where it's like single, have no kids, can do whatever I want. I'm going to look fantastic. I'm gonna, I'm, I'm gonna make my goal to look fantastic for the rest of my life. But yeah, it's just it's different. Because here's how you know it's different because I also have ADD. So it's like I usually I will go all in on something for like two days. Hyper focus, yeah, and then forget about it. And I've been focused on it for the last like a couple of weeks. I'm also training for a marathon.

SPEAKER_00

Where is it? You don't know what do you mean, where is it? Where's your marathon?

SPEAKER_01

So I want to run in the New York marathon.

SPEAKER_00

You know, you have to like qualify and raise money.

SPEAKER_01

No, you have to qualify or raise money.

SPEAKER_00

Which one are you gonna do?

SPEAKER_01

I'm obviously gonna raise money.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

I want to buy my way in.

SPEAKER_00

How much is it?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's like 10 grand. I'm in sales.

SPEAKER_01

Make it happen. But listen, I raise like 15 grand at a chili cook-off. I can raise 10 grand to go to New York, 100%. I've got the network.

SPEAKER_00

You're gonna ask me for money and then we're gonna have to go, and then we're gonna have to. But I'll listen, I'll go to New York.

SPEAKER_01

That's my thing, is like I haven't been since high school. It's one because it's like, I want to say that I ran a marathon too. I want to go to the New York marathon, but I can promise you I'm not gonna be a runner after this. I saw this TikTok where this girl was like, my sister forgot that she was running in the New York marathon and then microdosed and just did the entire thing in like six hours, which is really bad, which means like you probably walked the entire thing, and then she had to go to the hospital afterwards because her muscles are dying. I was like, okay. So it could be so much worse than how behind I am right now. Yeah. But like forgetting that you're running in the New York marathon is 100% something I would do. So I'm gonna do both. I'm gonna lock in for the summer so I feel great. And it's like I'm not looking for a goal weight or anything unhealthy like that. I'm really just I want to be strong and I want to feel good about myself.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because I think the reason I don't feel good about myself is I know that I'm not healthy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's the biggest thing. Yeah, and I get that. Like now I'm like, you feel like junk when you eat like junk, but I'm eating more on a daily basis than I usually ever do.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, usually you have to eat more than to lose weight, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So, you know, hopefully my jawline starts coming back here shortly.

SPEAKER_00

But you've always had one.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be sharper.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, get that guacha and that protein.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm still I still have a lot of college fluff because I had a stupid boyfriend made me big fat fatty.

SPEAKER_00

I was a fatty in college, I was a fatty my whole life, bro.

SPEAKER_01

Point is I'm lucky I'm gonna be strong. Yeah, I'm sore today.

SPEAKER_00

What have you been doing? Lifting weights or just.

SPEAKER_01

So I went to Pilates yesterday, and if you're in Dallas, there's this really cool studio called Wesley and it's awesome. And they have a 530A, and the coach's name is Kyle, and she's fantastic. Um that made me really sore. And then today I ran in the morning. You ran? Ran. Like I ran and then I would stop, and then I'd run and then I'd stop. Just in the neighborhood? Yeah, I tripped a couple times.

unknown

You tripped.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, because like where we live, there's the sidewalk's a little old. Yeah, and it's dark. And I was in the zone of I didn't like fall, but I, you know, if anyone was watching, they're probably like it was good. I had to get a playlist, listen to Dance No More. Yeah, yeah. I was in the zone. Yeah, yeah. I moved my body.

SPEAKER_00

That's great. Right? I haven't worked out this week because I've been feeling sick, but I'll be back at it soon.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know, you gotta you gotta rest whenever you need it.

SPEAKER_00

So no kidding. But what are your thoughts on Beverly Hills?

SPEAKER_01

I think the reason why I'm so obsessed with Beverly Hills is one, it's actually entertaining. Like you know, you know, there, you know, the seasons where it's you can tell it's very forced, right? Yeah, they're forcing the drama. They go on a million trips to force the drama and all that stuff. This season, you know, between Doree and Erica, that I feel like that's pretty valid. Kyle's being typical Kyle, but I also two of my probably favorite people on the planet that I look up to so much, Bozeman St. John and Rachel Zoe, are on it. So I just I just love watching them. I love Bozeman St. John and how just like iconic and successful, but real she is. Like she's never, everything that I've seen with her, she's very real and she says the things like she's given opportunities to like really boost herself and say something that's like never been said before, but she just keeps it real every single time. Rachel Zoe, I love how iconically herself she is. I'm really trying to lean into that side of me. She sticks to her personal style no matter what the fad is. Like you can see all of the housewives kind of follow fads and they have their stylists and stuff like that, but she is she dressed like this the giant sunglasses at all times. She she doesn't give up something that she knows is like chic and amazing just because of fads and stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she's truly iconic. Yeah, it's such a great get. When I first saw it, I was like, oh, who knows how this is gonna be because Rebecca Minkoff didn't really do that well. Yeah. Because she was just so scared guarded and scared. But I was like, okay, she's had her show before, but again, she was very like not guarded, but like you could tell she was a producer on there because you know it was her brand, but she's very, very open.

SPEAKER_01

She's very open, and I think it's because I think it's easy for like a good person like her to be very open because she's genuinely good, because she's gen yeah, she is down to earth and means well, right? Like even when she's draped and designed her things and you know, looks absolutely like a freaking rock star, she is a girl's girl down to earth. Um and I think also to be so successful at her level in the time that she came up, I think you had to be really easy to work with. Like she had to learn how to work with a lot of different personalities, especially in Hollywood. I feel like people like you still have to be easy to work with, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I just think.

SPEAKER_01

Kim Kardashian did she what are those things where it's um you kind of release like a course or whatever? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. A masterclass. Yeah, masterclass. She released a masterclass and she was like, one of the things that I think people forget is like being easy to work with. Like you cannot Yeah, people gotta like you. Yeah, you cannot die on every hill on every little thing. Did you see her new energy drink? No, my co-workers are drinking it. It's only available at Walmart, no promo. Um, but I taste it, it tastes pretty good, but it doesn't have caffeine in it. What? Instead, it has the element that caffeine breaks down into. Yeah, it's zero sugar, zero calories, zero everything. But it tastes like pineapple. And it's naturally flavored, allegedly. And it's called, what is it called? Okay, so did you feel good when you drank it? I only had a sip. Oh. I'll be the judge of that, Kim K, because I am a certified caffeine addict.

SPEAKER_00

No kidding. No, kidding.

SPEAKER_01

Being in sales, you gotta be amped.

SPEAKER_00

You're such a douchebag.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta be amped to face rejection all day every day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, totally. You can be sweepy. You can't.

SPEAKER_01

You can't.

SPEAKER_00

I finished a coffee in my fridge that I bought a week ago. Yeah. Like right before I got here, I had like a little bit left and I just slurped it down before coming here. Because that was again like a little sleepy. But I'm a like I am a true sipper to my core.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I feel like you're a chugger, I'm a sipper. No, I'm a sipper. You're a chugger, I'm a sipper. You're pasta, I'm pizza. I was thinking about this. I was thinking about this. That's so cute. I know. I was thinking about this yesterday.

SPEAKER_01

I am so pasta, and you are so pizza.

SPEAKER_00

No, I was thinking about this yesterday because you brought this up, and I am like pizza to my core. I've always been pizza to my core. And you're always pasta, like you're a little complicated, you never know what shape you're gonna be.

SPEAKER_01

Like dynamic.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So many different ways you could be on pizza. Multicultural. Yeah. I am pizza.

SPEAKER_01

I love pasta. I love a nice.

SPEAKER_00

I used to be obsessed. I used to like eat pasta all the time, and I I never do. Like, even when I have the option to make pasta, I'm like, I don't want pasta. I don't know where our relationship went sour. I wouldn't even say it went sour, but like in college, it's I feel like I maybe because it was cheap. It's so easy to make. It was so cheap in college that I would just always make pasta sauce, you can throw a bunch of stuff into it, make it amazing. That's probably what it was. Is that it was so cheap, but like I never make pasta.

SPEAKER_01

But I feel like the same way that you can customize pasta, you can customize pizza.

SPEAKER_00

I think I'm just a bread girl to my core, too. Yes, so am I.

SPEAKER_01

We are definitely savory.

SPEAKER_00

But I so I order the same thing at the grocery store every week. Like it's on automatic curbs I pick up. And I get this gluten-free pizza by Capellos. So good.

unknown

No problem.

SPEAKER_00

They didn't have this week, they automatically subbed it. And it was the 365 cheese gluten-free pizza. It was so gross.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So gross. And I was so annoyed. So Sunday, every Sunday when I'm home, I make myself a frozen pizza. It's either that one, but most of the time it's the Rouse one because I want that thick crust. Like I want to feel heavy. And so I already had that one. And again, I was feeling sick and I didn't want to, yeah. I was feeling sick and I just wanted to have another frozen pizza. So I was gonna use my backup, and I saw it was the 365. Yeah, it was so gross, right there.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and like here's the thing is I will house a pizza if given the opportunity. You will house pasta if you are given the opportunity. But if we were to go to an Italian restaurant and they would say we have two signature dishes, the pasta and the pizza, you get the pizza, I get the pasta. Yeah, that's just too weird.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you also always order pasta wherever we go.

unknown

I love it.

SPEAKER_01

You're just a pasta girl. I'm such a pasta girl. I should marry into an Italian family.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, ditto, Ditto, ditto.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like Italian women are really good cooks. Yeah, you think you're a good cook? I'm useless in the kitchen. I feel like I I can eat like a barbarian, so sometimes I just do. Like I'm not gonna tell you what I had today. Tell me. No, I'm not going to.

SPEAKER_00

I thought you were locking in.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's it's healthy, but you're gonna make nasty noises.

SPEAKER_00

If it's cottage cheese, I swear to God. Okay. Enough with the cottage cheese.

SPEAKER_01

I know, there's none in my kitchen.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, good. In my fridge. I mean, you're allowed to eat it, but like it's disgusting.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

I saw a commercial at the gym and I almost people who eat that are genuinely need help. Okay, anything you got off your chest? Anything you want to do.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, Zara Larson. I just want to start by saying this. I think it's- I meant to write this down. I think it says a lot coming for me, and I think this is another reason why I'm locking in because I'm really trying to have a Zara Larson summer. Because, first of all, I just want to start by saying, in case you can't see my outfit, I am the furthest thing from glitter and sparkles and rainbow all over me and wearing pink and like cute little like I'm not the girliest girl ever. And I think her branding fits her so well and it's so cute, but it's so ultra girly that it's kind of shocking that I love her so much because and it's not that I dislike, you know, pop stars or anyone who dresses like that. Like I think it's so cute for them, but it's never been something that I feel like resonates for me personally. So every time I see her, and it's probably because she's also mega talented, her voice is incredible, but I am just I am obsessed with everything Zara Larson right now, and I'm so late to the game. There's so many people posting on TikTok, they're like, Yeah, I saw her at her mall concerts. Like, those are the way that those people feel about Zara Larson is how I feel about Harry Styles right now. It's like probably how I feel about Sabrina Carpenter, right? But but you weren't watching her when she was on Disney Girl.

SPEAKER_00

No, but I listened to like one of her first albums.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, valid. But my point is like how obsessed I am with Zara Larson is very telling. It just I I personally think it goes to show like how just like talented she is and how awesome she is right now, and just how excited for summer I am.

SPEAKER_00

Because yeah, her body's insane.

SPEAKER_01

Her body's insane, but also like it's just so cute, like everything she wears and stuff, like it's it's just so.

SPEAKER_00

Have you seen people talking about how she escaped a key asylum? Do you know what that is?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, the record label or something like that.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know what it is. Or it's like I thought you were gonna know what it is because you're just you just know these things.

SPEAKER_01

So basically, I hope I don't butcher this, but basically, it's essentially they get to a certain point in their career and they kind of just become they don't become dead, but they're kind of just like TJ Maxx music, right? People like people claim that Duoletha has that syndrome right now, and it's like if you get to a certain branding, you kind of just get branded as this like you have so much talent, but you're not like Sabrina Carpenter level. You don't blow up as much as you could because you're just kind of stuck at this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's describe a fictional prison from artists who have lost mainstream relevance or flop. Yeah, so it's nothing to do. So I don't know where Kia came from. I have no idea either, but it has nothing to do with their talent, it's just kind of where they're Drive from the rapper Kia, known for my neck, my back. Symbolizing an artist with one major hit followed by a perceived lack of continued.

SPEAKER_01

So it's one hit wonder.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha. But she noble inmates, past, present, Zara Larson, Camila Cabello, Ava Max, BB Rexa.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Baby Ruxa, Camila Cabello escapes. People are saying that's happening to Jimmy. Julie Carpenter, which I think is not true. I think she kills it. I think she just has a very like niche audience. Dave, yeah. But I'm obsessed with her. So happy.

SPEAKER_00

Is she coming to Dallas anytime?

SPEAKER_01

April 11th. It's sold out. Her entire show is sold out, but it doesn't have that big of venues because it wasn't, she wasn't where she is now at the start of the tour. So I think I think she's what made her blow up the meme, the dolphin, the symphony dolphin meme. And because she is so smart, she made that her brand. And so, and people are obsessed with it because it's ultra girly, she has all the different color eyeshadow, very tropical, and she blew up like in the wintertime with all this like tropical summer branding. And so the phrase is like summer isn't from her song Midnight Sun, summer isn't over yet. That was viral, like in the dead of winter. And so now people are doing like defrosting, like all this stuff. I I listen to her every single day. I love her, she's so talented.

unknown

She's incredible.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, hopefully we can go get secondhand tickets or something.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe, but I will be blasting Zara Larson. I think I think she's gonna come out with another album. She's gonna do like a mid-size arena tour. Yeah, I think she's gonna do the damn thing. She has the talent to do it.

SPEAKER_00

She's gorgeous too. She's gorgeous, she's tall. She's drop dead. Yeah, she's gorgeous. Drop dead. Okay. Well, I think this was a good app. Everyone, pray for us for St. Patty's Day that we have really fun plans. And don't go, I don't want to go to the block party.

SPEAKER_01

We'll figure it out. We'll find out in the next pod what we end up doing. I think we're gonna go to the block party.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not going.

SPEAKER_01

Like, do we have friends who have like a house who are gonna throw a party? No. Last year, our cousin tricked us into that and there were no boys there. Matt, if you're listening, I don't think he tricked us. I think all my friends are gonna be there. We're like, oh, you mean some a bunch of 30-year-old bachelors who are in private equity and commercial real estate? Hell yeah, I'm there. I am there. Matt, if you're listening, that's the reason I went. He doesn't listen to this. Well, you should.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was literally, it was literally 20 girls in Matt. He got it.

SPEAKER_01

If he would have said girls, I still would have stopped by because we met Courtney and it was amazing. It was so fun. But like Matt. Context clues, brethren. Yeah. He's he's fucking skiing in the Swiss Alps. He doesn't care.

SPEAKER_00

No, he won. He truly won. Okay, well.

SPEAKER_01

Matt's a winner.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Love ya.

SPEAKER_01

Bye.
