Hello and welcome back to the Young Leaders of Tomorrow podcast. I'm co-host The Owen. Recently, we've been making very short episodes due to the lack of initiative to interview, and we should have some interview episodes in a month or two, but in the meantime, it might be mini episodes for a bit. So please reach out to us if you have an initiative you want to spotlight or know someone who'd be interested. With that said, today's episode is to tell you to just do it. Start that project you've been debating in your head. No more planning or baby steps. It's time to really begin. We've all done that thing where we get excited about an idea, a project, and start planning. Planning is the fun part. You imagine all the possibilities, the impact, the outcome, the flow of it, but many of us struggled to actually start it. You may be taking too many baby steps or dropped the idea completely. Regardless, you gave up on something out of fear. Obviously, you know this is limiting your potential, but acting against it is the part that matters. Julia and I's podcast is a perfect example. When we met, it seemed like a fun idea that we talked about a lot, but in the back of my mind, I wasn't sure if we'd actually execute it. Pushing through that mental barrier is what changed everything. Now we've run our podcast for 10 months and plan to continue doing so. I must admit, it was a rocky start, but it might have not been a start at all. The point is to just begin. Some tips that could help, have a co-founder. They can help motivate you, they're reliable, and most importantly, letting yourself down is easier than letting someone else down. Having that person or even a whole team really changes the game. Piggy backing off with that idea, you should also tell everybody you know about it. It's a little scary, but it puts pressure on you to actually finish the job. Another tip is to make a schedule of what you want to do and when. It gives you the discipline and push needed to have a successful project. Even if it doesn't work out, what matters is you start something and gain the experience to improve next time. Thank you for listening to the Young Leaders of Tomorrow and see you next time.
