Hello and welcome to Faith Unfiltered, Real Talk Friday, where the filter comes off and the faith gets real. I'm Sharina Mache and this is your space to breathe, be honest, and build. No fluff, just real talk and raw faith to help you finish the week strong. Let's talk about it. Hey family, it's your girl Sharina Mache and welcome back to Uncut Faith, the truth nobody tells you. Last week we talked about why God lets the struggle last longer than you think, why every delay, every closed door, and every season of waiting is actually preparation for your breakthrough. Today we're going raw and uncut because I need to talk to you about something that's stopping too many of us from stepping fully into our purpose. Chasing people instead of chasing God. Yes, chasing validation, approval, relationships, or even social recognition, it's time to stop looking to humans for what only God can supply and start redirecting your focus to the one who never fails, never disappoints, and always sees your heart. Listen closely. When you spend your energy trying to be seen, liked, or validated by people, you are draining your faith, your joy, and your spiritual growth. The very moment you stop chasing people and start chasing God, your life begins to shift in ways you didn't even imagine. Today, we're breaking down why this is crucial, how it affects your purpose, and how to redirect your focus to God fully. Let's get into the word coming from the book of Matthew chapter six verse thirty three. But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Hmm, think about that. God is telling us to prioritize Him above all else. The world teaches that you need to chase connections, popularity, approval, or material success to feel validated. But the kingdom operates differently. Your value, direction, and blessings come from God, not humans. Imagine someone constantly bending over backwards for friends, co-workers, or even family, sacrificing their own peace and calling just to gain approval. They feel exhausted, undervalued, and unfulfilled. But the moment they shift focus to God, studying His Word, seeking His guidance, trusting His timing, doors open naturally. People align with your purpose, and peace replaces the chaos. People will always fail, disappoint or misunderstand you. God will never fail. Redirecting your energy from chasing human approval to chasting God produces alignment, clarity, and divine favor that no one else can provide. Let's open with prayer. Lord, I thank you for reminding us that you are our ultimate source of validation, purpose, and direction. Help us to stop chasing people, stop seeking approval, and stop looking for affirmations from those who cannot truly satisfy our hearts. Teach us to seek you first in every decision, every relationship, and every dream, so that we may walk in alignment with your will. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Let's get into the message. Let's get real. So many of us are tired, burnt out, are frustrated because we've been pouring our time, our energy, and our faith into people who cannot and will not return it in the way God intended. You've given your loyalty, your love, and your support to friends, co-workers, families, or even romantic interests, and you've felt unseen, undervalued, or ignored. The streets teach hustle, networking, and influence, but they can't teach spiritual alignment, discernment, or the power of seeking God first. When you chase people, you chase validation, temporary favor, and fleeting approval. But when you chase God, you tap into divine favor, eternal purpose, and unshakable peace. It's not about cutting people off harshly. It's about redirecting your focus and energy, your prayers, your actions, and your attention should be centered on God and your calling. People will either align with your purpose, step aside, or naturally gravitate towards you when God orchestrates it. But if you keep chasing them, you'll continue to exalt yourself, miss your destiny, and compromise your spiritual growth. It's real talk time, let's get into it. Let's get raw. Some of you are literally exhausted because you've been trying to fix relationships, earn approval, or chase friendships and recognition that are draining your soul. Maybe it's a toxic friend, a romantic interest, a family member, or even a coworker. You feel like you've done everything right, yet you're left frustrated and empty. But here's the truth. You are not responsible for everyone else's feelings, validation, or decisions. God is responsible for them. Your responsibility is your faithfulness, integrity, and obedience. When you stop chasing people and start chasing God, you release yourself from exhaustion, disappointment, and distraction, and you step fully into your life calling and favor He has for you. Someone constantly seeking friends' approval misses God's calling because they're too busy trying to fit in or be liked. When they finally stop, focus on God, and pursue his purpose, doors open naturally. Mentorship, opportunity, and relationships that truly align with their destiny appears effortlessly. Here's a lesson. Chasing people leads to burnout, compromise, and spiritual stagnation. Chasing God leads to alignment, peace, and divine favor. Your focus determines your trajectory. Here's our faith confession. I declare today that I will stop chasing people and start chasing God. I will seek His approval, His wisdom, and His timing above all else. I will focus my energy, my prayers, and my actions on God and trust Him to orchestrate every relationship, every opportunity, and every circumstance in my favor. Let us close with prayer. Father, I thank you for reminding us that our worth, destiny, and favor comes from you and not from anyone else. Help us to redirect our focus, stop seeking validation from humans, and wholeheartedly pursue you in every area of our lives. Let your alignment, your peace, and your favor flow through us and guide every step we take. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, family, thank you for tuning in. But listen, stop running after people who cannot give you what only God can. Stop exhausting yourself seeking approval, validation, or love from those who aren't meant to steward your destiny. God is enough. God is faithful, and God's timing is perfect. Remember, it's your girl Srita Mache. And if this episode spoke to you, email me at ChickinthespiritPodcast at gmail.com.
